Kee: I hate that i refinanced my car loan with them soo much. The member service manager is unprofessional and they apply balances/fees to accounts for no reason! I shouldn’t have to call, wait for 30-50 minutes to get refunds and charges reversed that shouldn’t have been applied in the first place. Trash credit union

Ashley Benton: I have STL community credit for a car loan. In the 4 years ive had them, speaking with a representative is impossible unless you have an hour or more to sit on hold. They NEVER contact me with questions or concerns but will send 1 single letter saying they are tacking on $2000 to my auto loan after "repeated attempts to verify" however not one single bit of contact was ever attempted. Not even on the portal do i have alerts. Be careful this bank will lie and steal from you. After they are disproven they will still leave an excess of $2000+ on your auto loan.

Now I have to drive 15 minutes to the closest one (where I used to live) only to find out that they are not open on the day after thanksgiving. Ok. I’ll forgive that. It’s shopping day. I’ll come back on Saturday. To my surprise they are closed on Saturday. Do you all want me to give you money? I can’t wait for my car loans to be done here so I can close my account and move to a better bank.
Mike Griffin: The credit Union started out great however over time it has diminished in Customer Relations. I applied for an Auto Refinace on 9/6/2022 and I did not get an answer back until 10/26/2022 and it was a decline. This was after several phone calls to the loan department during this time and all I would be told is that the underwriters have not made a decision. I walk into the bank on 10/24/2022 and speak with Loan personnel. She states that it is no way this should have happened and that you definitely qualify for the rate reduction and the refi. She said this after meeting with co worker for 15 mins. She sent me home stating that she would call me when the underwriter says yes and finalizes it. Called me back on Sat and said no one looked at it.I called back on Monday 10/26 and I was told 'Declined'Unbelievable. This has been the worst experience ever with this bank. I am not taking it laying down and I am still asking to speak with the underwriter and or manager and all I get is on hold. Just sorry. Same job 7 years - more income and better credit means nothing to them. This experience is Zero Stars! Take all your $$ out and leave like I am doing.

GWsmooth thang: I have been a member of Alltru for years. When I decided to take out a car loan through them the process was done online. I was approved in a matter of hours. The loan paperwork was explained with no hidden clauses. What I liked most was the fact there was no early payoff penalties. I was very satisfied and woukr recommend Alltru to family and friends.

Had 3 different instances that my payments were returned after being told I have overdraft protection. 1 of the 3 times they told me payment went through in which it was for my life insurance I learned later that was untrue. After being declined at the register countless times & embarrassed I called today & they tell me I don’t have overdraft. This is something that should’ve been told to me when I had the first returned payment instead of telling me I have it overdraft protection. My husband & I are closing our joint account & going to Navy Federal where we already have single accounts. We wanted to join a local credit union in our city unfortunately we can’t afford anymore mishaps. If you get an account with this bank take notes, get names, & watch your account because in the end it will be all the customers fault.

But what I don't like is my money disappearing from my accounts without getting an explanation where it's going and why. Sherry Goldsmith: I went to the Gravois branch in South City last week on two different occasions, arriving both times at 5, so I could get a money order from the drive through window. Both times the shutter was pulled down over the window and the closed sign posted, despite the fact that the website clearly stated the drive up window was open until 5:15. There was no inclement weather or to my knowledge any other reason why they should have closed 15 minutes earlier. This was a huge inconvenience. I guess they make their hours up as they go.

Went there today because I needed to withdraw a large amount of money just to find out they are now closed on Saturday. Tired of this place seeing at least 10 cars pull up needing to do business. ATM wouldn't work either! They have just lost my business. Closing my account Monday!
Jessica Melius: My car loan is through them. My husband changed over his card information because we changed banks. The woman instead of running the new card information, ran our old card information and it came back declined. They refused to take my husband's payment information to pay it , and want him to use a money order and deliver it to the branch. He went down there, the woman finally took his card information, and we thought it was all fixed. He got a phone call 4 hours later saying that they want him to deliver a money order to their office every month because it got declined before. It was the fault of an employee, so why are we having to waste time fixing it?

But it works everywhere else, like the SLC cu on Chippewa.PLEASE REPLACE THE ATM with the new updated version like they have at.Chippewa. Victoria Farrow: The heavy set girl that sits at the window is so rude. I went in to get a new debit card. I was told by customer service I could receive one in person at this location. Well she proceeds to tell me you need to go to forest park location. Whoever you spoke to don't know what they talking about. So, like I said you need to go there. Nobody should have to deal with her attitude all the time.

Tasha Steen: I usually have a positive experience at this location. However, one of the drive thru tellers (African American woman with a natural fro and glasses was RUDE for know reason. She didn't speak prior to receiving my transaction and gave me a big bill in return without asking how did I want to receive my cash return. When I sent the big bill back, she still hadn't asked how I wanted my cash dispensed back to me, but sent smaller of the same bills (all tens). And, this lady still didn't say, "Thank you" or anything else. I have too much money sitting to just pull it out. However, I will be looking at other financial institutes!

Upon leaving staff decided it would be appropriate to giggle and continue to make snide remarks like 12 yo children...their comfort in behaving this was speaks volumes about the type of management this credit union has...I'll be closing my account after a discussion with the manager. Eddie Martin: They returned my SSI BENEFIT PAYMENT!!$! because they said " there was a very recent meeting with collection agencies and cannot accept gov.benefit payments which would be paying off a negative charge on an accountant, which in my case my account had an issue of me not being able to payback the $50 I was granted through the ATM Due to the FACT THAT I WAS abruptly admitted to the hospital due to an issue with my brain&💀 skull which I had to go into surgery and have a portion of my skull removed, then when I awoke I was that I'd be quarantined for 6wks to treat the bacterial infection I had in my head which was the reason I knew I wouldn't be able to repay my $50 loan amt. within the 30 days so I called the St.Louis community credit union on chippewa street in St.Louis Mo. and explained my unexpected issue, and ask if when I get released from the hospital could I then get my SSI PAYMENTS DIRECT DEPOSITED INTO my new bank acct. there. and with that payment it would take care of the - negative balance and make my acct. Whole again, I was told " YES", and you can come in around 12:00 noon that Friday closest to the first and sign some papers to get my acct. correct and activated again". Iask if they were certain again when I was released from hospital and stopped in to let them know I was heading to Social Sec.office to switch my payments to be deposited into St.Louis community credit union, and that's what was done, but to My surprise, the friday came when my April BENEFIT PAYMENT CAME THROUGH, I WAS TOLD THAT IT COULD NOT BE PROCESSED DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T ALLOW PAYMENTS MADE TO AN ACCOUNT THAT WAS IN A NEGATIVE BALANCE IN WHICH THAT PAYMENT WOULD PAY THE NEGATIVE COST OR COSTS'. So I then went to Social Security office on Watson Road and made them aware of the statement I had from the bank they typed me up a letter after looking and seeing that St Louis Community Credit Union did. IN FACThave my monthly payment and wrote a letter saying if there's any issues they could call the supervisor at the Social Security office and discuss the issue WITH THEM! SO I THEN RACED BACKED TO THE BANK TO GIVE THEM THE NEWS AND THE LETTER FROM THE GOV. OFFICE TO WHICH I WAS TOLD" WELL YES WE DID HAVE IT BUT SENT YOUR MONTHLY 1 TIME PAYMENT, WHICH TO SOMEONE ON DISABILITY IS THEIR ONCE A MONTH ( FRIDAY) PAYMENT. THE RESPONSE WAS PRETTY MUCH LIKE WELL SORRY NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT. well today Easter Sunday, I don't have the much needed $ to make it to my parents I'll attempt to find a friend or someone who'll be willing to loan me the $ to get the kids things for Easter and gas to make it out to see them. My phone has been shutoff due to not being able to pay my bill on time, my landlord is going to give me late fees and the insurance payment for our vehicle is not able to be payed, therefore it'll be not active, no $ for food, for the family nor the cat. The Bank should have made it aware to those EXPECTING. THEIR PAYMENT THAT IT WASN'T GOING TO HAPPEN DUE TO THE NEW POLICY THAT HAD BEEN MADE!!!! MY EVERYTHING FOR ME& FAMILY DEPEND & RELY ON THAT ONCE!! A MONTH!! PAYMENT I'M ON DISABILITY AT THE AGE OF 41 DUE TO AN ACCIDENT! and it's not unusual that my payments take care of my negative. Balanced accounts at any other BANK I've had in the past, but now I get told that now I'll have to most likely wait for the gov. to mail me my Check and they seemed to be at awhh when I got frustrated and angry, asking how in the world could this be so, especially after being told that there were going to be no issues or problems, just sign some papers and have your $ due to you minus the $ you owe us.now I'll most likely need the use of my phone before the $ I so very much need ASAP is going to made available to me , THE VERY PAYMENT THEY HAD AND THEN DECIDED TO RE TURN TO SENDER!!!

But my online banking just randomly kicked me out and won't let me sign back in says my username or password is invalid, there is no way for me to check my balance online or over the phone, no one to help resolve the issue, no number to call to get help... This situation is frustrating specially when everything was working fine at one moment then the next everything isn't working at all.

I was assured I wouldn’t have any issues, and they wished me safe travels. When I arrived to my destination and tried to rent a car, my card declined. What!?? I called the bank and talked to several people and they assured my deposit would show up the next day, it didn’t show up until a week later. They wasn’t apologetic and didn’t really care about the inconvenience they caused me and my daughter while on vacation. This place is ghetto, Slow as molasses, and behind the times in technology. Do not bank here, there are much better options in the Ferguson area. I wish I could give them zero out of 5 popcorn bags.

If you have the capability to print replacements, why not offer that convenience to new members as well? Having to go through too much to get bills paid etc waiting on a card now for almost 3 weeks (the holiday caused additional wait time).

Krista Davis: Holding a stipend check from a nationally accredited college for almost 2 weeks is ridiculous. I understand fraud happens but its pretty damn easy to look and see the check is legit especially with the phone number printed on it specifically to assist banks in its authenticity.
Jayana Rachelle: Well I don't usually make reviews but I thought I should today. I don't like the fact that the tellers have the power to release and hold a check it really annoys me. I went to cash a check that someone sent me and it has all of my info on it printed and everything. The tellers ask to many questions one of them asked did you get a new job or something because of the amount of the check like either you can cash it or not. And they hold a check just because of the amount I just think that the tellers are nosey I will be transferring to an actual bank soon.

I've been sitting there waiting for two hours to get three documents notarized only to find out the THING that does notery didn't not have her machine. Then it had the nerve to pat its dry ghetto looking weave in the middle of its statement Terrible customer service!!!

Danielle Mcgill: They have two drive up lanes outside .And the lines back up and get long. I miss just a plan ATM.

Marla Canady: I've been a member here for many years-at least a decade or more. This is a wonderful credit union. I have nothing bad to say. I have not always had my credit needs met, but that is no fault of the credit union. Some of the staff have been with Vantage for as long as I've been a member. And I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Amber Smith-Hambright: The front desk staff is professional and courteous...but it ends there. I have never come across a kind teller here. They are always very short and abrasive. Today was the last straw. After the rude service today, I closed all 3 accounts. No need in keeping my money where it is not appreciated.
