Suzanne Chisum: Many people have told me that this is the best place to go in St. Louis when needing anything related to technology.If this is the case, they can greatly improve to be more accessible to all.In order to get service at the customer service center there is an open area where one must stand and wait ones turn. Depending on the questions of the people in front of you, this standing time may be extensive.There is no place to sit and wait nor a number system where one could go browse the store and shop while waiting.I have an invisible disability that makes standing in place a challenge. I had no option but to stand however.The store also seems very ‘male-centric.’ Perhaps like an auto parts store, computer stores are the domain of men? There were few female staff available.I needed a peripheral on my computer looked at. I was told to bring the computer and the peripheral in. I did, but then they wanted to keep both in order to replace the peripheral. I was not offered a loaner computer. I do not know if that service is even available. Because of my work relying on this particular kind of computer, I could not go for example to a library and do it.I think they could go far to improve service to St. Louis. They have a good start by what is on their shelves, but they can do much better to include the elderly, disabled and women in their business plan.
Colin Long: This store is complete garbage. The only thing that they care about is selling products. If you have an issue with anything, you can go to the help desk which they call the "Knowledge Center" which is ironic since they seem to have zero knowledge of anything that they're doing. I dropped off my computer because it had a couple of issues that were consistent. I was quoted that it would take 22 days for them to look at it. I agreed to this and then continued to not hear anything for 22 days. Since there is no way to call the store in order to see what's going on, I had to go to the store to ask what was happening. It still hadn't been looked at. I then again waited until it had been 37 days and was told that somebody would finally look at it. They finally looked at the computer, weren't able to replicate the problem that I was describing, but then never looked at the other issue that I was having. All that is to say after 42 days of waiting, they didn't even look at the problems that I told them that it had. On top of all this, there is rarely any more than three people at the help desk even though there is almost always a line at the help desk. In addition to this there is always more than 10 salesmen standing around literally doing nothing but talking to each other. There are always employees outside on the left side of the building I assume smoking but again not doing anything. The management of this store is literally some of the worst I've ever seen for any store whatsoever. I do not recommend using Micro Center to purchase anything, or to get help in any way, because this store is helpless.

Learned about how to repair and upgrade my PC via the help desk there so never had to really go out of pocket to fix issues outside of buying my own parts. Definitely recommend

MT Hamma: I still have my free grand opening coffee mug they gave me when the store first opened and can't look at it without thinking how great they used to be. After my visit yesterday I will go through an online retailer. I ordered 1 item through microcenter and left for the store only after they verified and confirmed that my item was ready for in store pick up. After a half hour drive and waiting in line the clerk told me they had to substitute the item which was not what I wanted. The staff at the pick up/customer service desk pushed the blame to the employees who pulled the item and then to the system saying they couldn't notify me through email only confirm the order. I told them they can tell me their inventory was off and they did not have the 2 in stock like the website said and I wouldn't have drove 30 minutes there. Microcenter Brentwood employees wasted 1 and a half hours of my time, an hour of it driving and went home empty handed with money wasted to travel there. An online company is delivering the product to my door today free and they accept returns on headsets unlike microcenters COVID policy excuse for no returns on many items (make sure you don't buy a vr there). This was not the first time with on store pick up problems.
Steve Bell: On this night May 16th 2023 it's the first time that I have not felt important. I was asking someone about tablets and I got the pretty strong feeling that person wanted to be elsewhere. That tablet was not the only thing I was going to purchase. So thank you. Your store is awesome, but tonight the staff was not.. except for the guy at the register, he was very nice. ~ SteveI have been back several times since and haven't been disappointed at all. They show you what you want and help you right there to assist if you have many questions or if you say you just want to look at them they will leave you be or check back in a few minutes or so or until you need someone again. They won't stand there and hover over you which is a big plus. Still a great place with excellent prices which I intend on driving up to there this morning!Below is the review from 4 years ago:This was my first time here and I will return soon. For someone like me who loves electronics and such, I was overwhelmed at the amount and many different types of things new and refurbished at very low prices. Many things from gaming computers to TV'S and so much more. Parts for electronic devices such as computers and more. This store is electronics and you're not going to sift through washers dryers like other electronic stores. The associate that helped me knew what he was talking about and helped me make an informed decision on what I wanted to purchase. Check em out!

James Stock: I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Have only dealt with Mircocenter a little over a year and it has been one gaint frustrating nightmare, from a faulty new build to gaslighting me on the true issues. Had the machine in for CPU cooler warranty which they said it could take up to 5 weeks but never got to it, had to go up and ask about because they do not respond to the update text line. I took the computer home to actually get it repaired. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE OTHER THAN MIRCOCENTER.

vladhq: My 16” MacBook Pro had water damage. I brought it in on Tuesday at 4pm and it was already fixed on Wednesday. Shout out to Jacob! I like this place a lot, I wasn’t sure if i wanted to go here at first since it’s not an Apple Store but it’s just as good if not better. Definitely faster

Luiz: Don't listen to the 1 star reviews. I took in my 2018 MacBook Pro for a battery replacement and when I got my laptop back and started using it at home I was confused as to why it felt so new. Then I looked at my receipt and it said they replaced top case with battery at battery-only price. Most repair shops would have asked for more money. Years of wear and tear gone. It fixed my touchbar flickering issue AND my keyboard where a key would sometimes misfire. Im very satisfied with their fix.
brandy biggs: My experience didn’t start off the best and it may have been due to lack of understanding and communication and some lack of customer service . However Jim called me and spoke to me regarding my complaint and made things feel at ease. I truly understand his point of view as well as him understanding mine. At the end I truly appreciate the prompt call back and resolution. It shows that he genuinely cares about his customers and that alone goes a very long way. Our issue was taken care of and we appreciate the service received from Allen as well.

Ian Hagemann: MacHQ has been helping me out for many years, mostly with small jobs - iPhone screen or battery repairs - but sometimes with bigger issues like a motherboard replacement. They're knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. It's a quirky and unprepossessing place but honestly easier to access than the Genius Bar. We are lucky to have them available! One note, they are an Apple Authorized Service Provider, which means they do everything by the book. That can be either good or bad. One time I needed a part that Apple no longer sold and they were not able to look for aftermarket alternatives.
Kevin Fox: I thought I’d visit to update my Mac or purchase a new one. I was met by the most rudest employee. I told him I wanted to update my computer. He laughed at me and said there was nothing he could do. The two associates available this Saturday showed no customer service whatsoever. No smiles. They both were mean mugging me. They never asked if I needed assistance. Customers helped themselves. I was excited about my visit. Guess I’ll have to find my MAC business elsewhere.
Daniel McCormack: I came to MacHQ following a botched assessment/repair (with an apparently unauthorized vendor, I confess) at my hometown in IL. I was originally going to go to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store, but decided to try MacHQ. I am so glad I did. Joseph was *****outstanding. Funny, friendly, and totally knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem that those other idiots missed. My Mac was save-able, but it was also—at almost 13 years old—well past its useful life. Because of my experience with Joseph, and because of the service I saw being given to other customers while my work was being done, I decided to go ahead and buy my next Mac right now from MacHQ. This place is going to be my go-to whenever I need to replace or repair a Mac.

Ah H: Called last week and was told battery replacement takes 35-40 minutes for an iPhone. Made an appointment, went in at appointment time and when I asked how long it would take I was told “by end of day”. I asked if there’s a way to book an appointment where they take you at that time and he said “there’s a lot of people”…. I was the only one in store. Decided to make an appointment at a Genius Bar where they take your phone at the appointment time.

Blake Sheldon: My wife is looking for a laptop and wanted to save a few bucks by purchasing a used one. She called ahead looking for a MacBook with M1 chip. Someone told her they have a bunch in stock and to come on in. They mentioned they have a 2020 Pro model for $799 with the M1 chip. So… drove an hour up there to buy it and was told when I arrived that they didn’t have any used laptops with the M1 chip in stock. I told the guy that my wife was told different on the phone and that they were supposed to have some. The guy went to the back and came back with a 2020 MacBook Pro and said he had been mistaken and that this was the only one they had left. He said it was $1049. I had already purchased a new 2022 MacBook Pro M2 for $1149 at Best Buy that my wife wanted me to return after buying a used one. So no chance I was spending $100 less for one. I told the guy I would buy the Air version as long as it had M1 chip or better and he insisted they didn’t have any. I hate wasting my time. Don’t lie to people to get them in. If you really only had the one you should have told her on the phone. Wasted 2 hours of my evening driving there and back.
