Levi: Marc runs his business well. He is courteous, informative, and knows his stuff; by chance if there's something new on the block that isn't immediately familiar he can research and find out what needs to be done.I ran into trouble assembling a computer with all brand new parts where it would not boot up, and needed someone to review to ensure everything was installed and working correctly. I called Manonight Computers up around lunch, stopped by for assistance within two hours, and was able to set up my new computer at home by dinnertime. Of course other issues may take longer, but I thank Marc for his assistance and encourage others to see if his business' assistance is right for you.
Tina Smith: Based on the other reviews, I decided to try Marc to fix my daughter’s laptop...a week before she was scheduled to leave town for school. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and quoted me a reasonable price. He ensured he had located the proper part for a decent price. sdmarquart: Working with Marc was one of the best experiences I've had! My computer had issues with the BIOS settings and restart and reset issues. He quickly troubleshot everything. He was thrown many curveballs along the way. I told him I would be okay if he couldn't get that restart issue fixed. But he researched diligently and said he just couldn't return a computer that wasn't working properly. He was very communicative about the whole process and I learned a lot about my computer. He even changed the battery and did a full clean. The bottom line is I couldn't be happier. I feared I'd need a full refresh of my OS which would have taken weeks to get re-set up on my end. Instead he did all the hard work and was able to fix my desktop PC without having to re-install anything. My computer is like new now! Running smooth. Marc is your guy for computer issues. He saved me a lot of money and headache. And he's a great guy to boot! I live in South City so he was only a few minutes away. I hit the jackpot on this one. Folks, Marc is the one to go to for all your computer needs. I couldn't recommend him higher. Oh, and this was done on Easter day during a global pandemic. I'm so happy to know that there are good people like Marc out there doing great work for a very fair price. Bravo Sir!!
John Shear: I called this place after a Google Search. I explained what problems I was having and the type of lap top I had and the owner was very honest and said based upon the type of computer, there was really nothing I could do. He gave me some suggestions on what I should look for and suggested I go talk to the people at a computer store. I went to the store, I also decided to take in my computer for them to look at and... he was absolutely correct. There was nothing that could be done and I was able to negotiate a deal on a new computer to do what I needed.This man spent about a half hour with me on the phone and wanted no money but was extremely helpful. I would recommend you call him if you have a computer issue! Very satisfied.

Berkeley Souza: South City Computer site had an easy to use ticket system, he got back to me quickly, was flexible in scheduling and definitely showed concern for transparency as he made a point to walk me through each step to make sure i understood what was happening.Will use again, for sure.
Michael Davis: Took in my wife's computer that was running really slow and freezing up. South City tested the computer, backed up all the files, installed a new hard drive and re-installed the files quickly and at a great price. Will definitely use again if computer repairs are needed.

Stephen Wall-Smith: A year or so back, I bought two Dell laptops, one for Missouri and one to leave in Florida, where we visit often. Unfortunately, both turned out to be glacially slow -- I mean, worse than MS-DOS slow. Booting up was a 10-minute process, and don't even ask about opening a browser and trying to pull a site up. I sent both of the laptops back to Dell on warranty a couple of times, and they always came back as slow as ever.In desperation, I took them to South City to be reformatted with Ubuntu, something Nestor had done with an old Windows 7 computer a few years back. It wasn't a perfect solution for my purposes, but Windows 10 wasn't ever going to work. Half a loaf, and all that.Or so I thought. Nestor figured out that the problem was not the OS at all, or (my vote) the processor, it was the hard drive. He replaced the hard drive, and voila, working laptop.Why Dell couldn't figure any of this out remains a mystery. But kudos to SCC.
Todd Evans: Positive:ProfessionalismMy daughter damaged the screen to her laptop. It needed a new one. They repaired it like it was brand new. It took a while for the part to come in - COVID, but once the part arrived the repair was made that day and I picked it up the next. The charge for service seemed very reasonable.
Urban Kayak: Store hours are not reliable, someone may or may not be there. Will take several days for them to respond to messages. As of writing this their website is broken. Do you want to use a computer repair service that isn't computer savvy enough to maintain a proper website? Wasn't even able to drop off my laptop because nobody was at the store. They have a shady store entrance in the back of the building even though there is a front door. Much easier to ship off my laptop for repairs instead.
Louise Ricketts: I was hoping to have a good experience, because I'd much rather support a local business than Best Buy's Greek Squad. I'm not saying "don't go there", because if you've got the time and money, then I bet it's a great service.I found their pricing to be high and not transparent. Also they're only available during odd hours. I don't care for the "pay first then we'll service you" model. I was charged a $20 cleaning fee, I understand why they clean the computer--because people are gross, BUT let me know that you're going to charge me that.Also, reading the owner's responses to other people's reviews--he sounds like a total jerk.Having a mean man run a business, makes for a bad business.Kindness, understanding, and being flexible with customers isn't hard. It just requires patience.

Jo Hiestand: The email on my computer was non-existent, having mysteriously disappeared into the computer hinterland. That's a big problem for a lot of folks, and it was for me, being a professional writer and waiting for chapters to edit from my publisher. Saying I was antsy about the length of time required to get my email up and running, and therefore putting me in 'business again,' is hardly describing my anxiety. CAT Computers did a remote control fix on my computer (which is amazing, IMHO) and got my email back online and running without me having to drag my computer (a big desktop Mac model) into the shop. Painless, efficient and quick, from initial phone call to fixing the problem. A pleasure to work with CAT...and I highly recommend them, whatever computer problem you have. Kudos!

Jesse Darr: I’m 5 hours away from St. Louis, and our ISP/VOIP provider did a number on our network at a remote site, taking down internet connectivity and consequently our VPN back to corporate. I spent 4 hours on the phone with the providers trying to get a resolution, and they couldn’t even provide me an accurate description of what work had been done or what changes had been made. I got ahold of Chandler, he arrived first thing the next morning, and 45 minutes later he had everything wired correctly and got my Internet, VOIP, and VPN all back online! I couldn’t recommend them any more highly, saved me a 5 hour one way trip. THANKS!
