The guy working inside immediately yelled at me “Get out with a mask on. Can’t wear a mask here.” I was so taken aback. Needless to say I got back into my car and left.

Abigail Porter: I have no idea how this place has such good reviews. We went to look at their jeeps and they have a ton! Probably close to 20, but every single last one of them has really bad frame rust. On the ones that looked a little nicer/newer if you look closely you can see where they literally paint over the rust to hide it, but the paint was bubbling/chipping off because they didn’t actually remove the rust like they are supposed to, they just painted over it. When asked how firm they were on price the man stated that they do not haggle, when asked if they would fix the frame rust the man stated no they sell them as is. This is dangerous and a safety hazard! If anyone decides to buy from here PLEASE do your due diligence and have someone knowledgeable look at all aspects of the vehicle and test EVERYTHING in it before buying as they provide no warranties or returns for anything and refuse to fix severe issues with the cars but try to sell them at a price as if there’s nothing wrong with them. It’s a shame to see so many beautiful jeeps sitting there neglected and rusting away.

Brian Shipe: I recently purchased a very low mileage 2003 Toyota Matrix from Midwest Autoplex. I live in Minnesota and this was my first out of state internet car purchase. I have a friend in Saint Louis who came in and test drove the car. He found it to be just as advertised and I bought it. Midwest Autoplex was great to work with start to finish. They answered all of my question throughout on a prompt and professional manor. Additionally they were able to set up shipping for a very reasonable rate which saved me from flying down and driving back up. My experience with Midwest Autoplex has been outstanding. I would buy from them again.
Efoxy 82: So last week I came up to this dealership and purchase a car a 2011 Chevy Cruze after purchasing the car the same day !!!!!! all these warning lights come on and I've been having problems with this car since .I believe the car was rigged up for a test drive it and as soon as I got financed for it my nightmare began the very same day!!!!! Jeff was trying to help somewhat after telling me that his help was voluntary so basically I was stuck with the car that had all of these problems !!!! he sold me a lemon!!!! I have to come out of over $1000.00 repairs only having this car one week!!!! now how is that fair !!!with a car I literally just bought I know the car is as is but if I had known that it had all of these problems I would have never got Finance for this car I feel like I've been bamboozled so please to save yourself the stress in the problems that I am going through !!!!!do not go to this car dealership!!! take your money elsewhere you have been warned buyers beware!!!!!

Finally reached someone, asked about down payment amounts, got a vague, abrupt answer, he did not mention when he would be back, I left, frustrated.

He was honest with what he knew about the car. I took the car for a test drive, got it checked by a mechanic and ended up buying the 2007 Toyota Camry on the same day. I already drove it for a few hundred miles in the last two weeks since I purchased it and am pleased with it so far.

Jennifer Rios: I posted a really great review about Jim Butler Alfa Romeo but turns out that Jim Butler isn't what I thought it was. They proposed applying for a credit card to use as a down payment to purchase a car. They told me that the card I was applying for didn't accrue interest UNTILLL AFTER 6 months, but turns out that was a lie this card I applied for does have interest. My mistake was trusting them to do their job and not reading the final print and that's what I encourage everyone to do is read read read. I've called the dealership and left my name and number multiple times and never received a call back.The finance guy, I believe his name is Jim was really caring. He told me and my husband he was going to refinance my other car, to send him my information. I did and it never happened, even after I reached out multiple times! It was always" give me time" or "I appreciate your patience" but nothing happened.he also said that he was going to send us the title in the mail, not to worry about it because we lived in Saint Robert and the dealership is in St Louis. I couldn't register the new vehicle without the title so I had to pay a late fee because Jim Butler sent it after 2 months of me purchasing my vehicle.I had a good experience at the time, customer service was great but my after experience and what I'm dealing with now changes my review on the dealership. They don't follow up on their end and didn't give the right information about the credit card they encouraged me to apply for.I have recommended people to Jim Butler but I wouldn't now

The sales person Najja had the car I wanted ready for me to test drive and greeted me as I walked in the dealership. He was very professional! Jim the financial guy was a very big help to my wife and I when it came to the monthly payments and where we wanted them, He did his absolute best and fought to get what we wanted. I highly recommend Nijja and Jim! They are a perfect team!

I'm at the point where they were very much aware that this car was junk, they just had to sell it to someone......ME. I will NEVER recommend nor purchase anything with the name Jim Butler, completely trash and not honorable at all.

My husband and I actually traveled over 250 miles to make the purchase of my new vehicle based on Mr. Estes commitment to making this deal happen. Finance manager Jim Hodgkins was no slouch either. I came with my own financing but Jim took some additional steps to get us in and out efficiently. When he's not crunching numbers and being all serious, he can be funny too. Great team of people here and I will definitely purchase from Jim Butler Alfa Romeo again.
Jennifer Dembiec: I will not buy a car from this dealer based upon how I was treated and talked to. The “finance” guy (Jim/Ken/can’t remember) was so disrespectful and demeaning. I had a particular car that I was interested in for a particular price. They were not able to sell the car that I wanted for the price that I wanted. So I walked. But it was the way I was treated that was so disgusting, I will not be buying a car there. Ever. No deal is worth that treatment. And as I was walking out of the very open lobby, the “finance” guy made disparaging comments about me (loudly to his coworkers) and how “unreasonable” I was being. Very unprofessional! I hope they implement a life training program on basic skills on how to treat people kindly and with respect. His behavior should never be allowed and tolerated.

I ended up with a Nissan Leaf full electric car that is perfect for me! Tyler Hodges: Extremely pleased with the purchase experience I received at Jim Butler. Kayla was a great sales associate. There were a few delays with how late in the day I got to the facility and how many people showed up at once but they were attentive and very thorough with the information they were getting for me that I had asked as well as keeping my daughter entertained since we were there a few hours on Friday night. Was asked to come back Saturday to finish up because they believed they could get me a better rate and Jim walked through every question I had on the paperwork side. Ken (another sales) stunned my daughter with magic tricks and she is still trying to figure them out. Definitely would recommend Jim Butler and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The car is absolutely amazing

I called and spoke with a great, friendly, and helpful sales associate. Explained my max dollar amount and agreed if we could not make a deal I completely understand and due to my great experience with her that I would return to her with future vehicle purchases. The finance manager blew that. Jim has zero integrity. He actually got angry with me for trying to thank them for their time and just leave. He was extremely pushy and unprofessional. Joshua Rittinger (Joshua Young): I bought two vehicles from them. The first was an Oldsmobile. It was a decent car, it got stolen (not their fault). I paid it off anyway. The second car that I bought from them, a Buick, was a total lemon. The engine went completely out in four months. This was how they were doing business several years ago. From what I read, they have become all the much worse.

The down payment went from 1500 to 1700 quickly I paid the 1700 I didn’t like it but I needed transportation Then the paperwork began as I went over it I noticed the price said 11,000 I mention that he said earlier the car was 10,000 the sons reply was no it’s 11,000 do you want it or not I became slightly frustrated but needed transportation and purchased the car in spite of fast forward to October 26,2020 Mark Kugman repo my car not because of non payment but because he didn’t have any Current insurance information on file I was told due to close to closing time that if I bring my insurance information to them and it shows that I had insurance before tow date that he will take off tow fee Arrived October 27,2020 and broker faxed insurance information verifying I had insurance coverage before tow date Imwas now told that I will have to pay 250.00 tow fee or leave the car After excessively explaining that’s not what I was told I was so exhausted and my anxiety was almost uncontrollable agreed to Pay fee pulled 300 out my purse I asked with me paying 250.00 I would need more time to pay my car note which was due by the 30th clerk said she would call and ask so went to talk to my husband and let him know how they are using underhanded tactics and strong arm methods We return back inside and the clerk now says that I will need to pay the full balance of 575.00 due to now he don’t think he will receive a payment and if I don’t have it go borrow it and they will only hold my car for 10 days before it goes back to sale I said to the clerk Kugman is literally taking my car I was devastated on the professionalism and the sneaky crooked illegal tactics they pulled they are Just like the janky Illinois car lot we all read about If you are seeking a car please go else where this is not a good option I wish I would have kept looking You should do the same
Bruce Schrader: I bought a 2013 Audi A4 from Mark and absolutely love the car. It had a little noise I was concerned about and he has gone above and beyond what any used car lot would do in St Louis. Thank you Mark and I apologize for the shortness lol The process was painless and smooth with the purchase. I see bad and good reviews here but this is a used car lot guys. Do your own due diligence on what you are purchasing and remember it is a used car. Mark can not guarantee everything if it’s running and safe at purchase. As of now I would recommend this place to anyone. As of repo and payment concerns I do not see him being unfair with out just cause. Thank you Mark and Team

I told him what I was looking for and pulled off with a little bit more than I asked. I can't tell you how easy it was and fast it was to get approved and pull off the lot. No pressure and right to the point. Im very happy with my 2010 GMC Acadia.

Sara Lorentz: I had been proactively looking for a new to me car for a few months. My car is getting pretty old and has some issues and I don't want to be in a bind when the time to replace it comes. That said - I'm not in a hurry to buy.I came here to drive a Ford Edge that I had seen online. I had a few prior experiences where the car wasn't on the lot, so I called ahead to make sure the car would be there. Sales person advises it would. When I arrived I asked for the salesperson and he was available and had the car in front of the building waiting for us. He did advise it had been sitting for awhile and wasn't recently cleaned and he'd prefer to have it cleaned first. I was more worried about how it drove and declined waiting for the clean.Hubby and I went on the test drive. The sales person does not have to ride with you which I like. Car drove okay but I just ended up not loving it. Advised sales person, he said okay and asked If I wanted to speak with his manger. I said not really. Manager came over anyway advised that the sales person was newer and he wanted to make sure we had been taken care of. I advised all was well, we just didn't love the car. He said okay - no pressure sales, no nothing and offered us a card. I liked that.As we were leaving we realized they had a bunch of Ford Edges we hadn't seen online. We went back in and talked with our sales person and drove another one. This was a newer one and I did like it, but the pricing was just too far out of my range... so we passed. Sales person was gracious and friendly.Overall this is a low pressure lot. However we looked at and in multiple cars and all the cars were dirty. No just dust, like actually dirty. If they get into a schedule to cleaning the cars it could really take the experience up a notch.Also this dealer followed up with me later when they got another Edge in which was nice. When I advised I was not interested anymore they never called me again. That was also nice! Kudos to them for the follow up and respecting my wishes.

I've been told several times they'll have the service manager call me back because apparently he has to make the appointment.***Overall I had a great experience. My salesman was professional and very helpful, as was finance. Had a slight issue of miscommunication with the sales manager over a couple "add on" packages, but it was resolved quickly. Apparently 2 of their packages are MANDATORY to purchase. I recommend this company add those packages into the overall price of the vehicle to prevent any future miscommunication.
Charlie Tripp: We are satisfied with the vehicle we purchased but very dissatisfied with the sales department. We purchased our vehicle cash outright no financing. First the salesman wanted to charge us $1000 extra because we were paying cash and not financing. Also we were being charged $1900for a 100 point inspection ( that wasn’t done the wiper blades were both dry rotted and falling apart) we agreed on $22,250 out the door. The salesman came back with the sale price of $22,250 but then had taxes and fees added to it. When I said that’s not what I had agreed to and stood up to walk out he began crying and asked for a second chance. He then went back to his manager and we never seen him again another salesman took over and we agreed on $21250 out the door taxes license and everything. I received the title in the mail and took it to the DMV and now discover that taxes were not paid and plates not transferred like promised. So now I’m out another $1,475 that I was told was paid by your company. Overall I’m very disappointed with your company.This is a copy of the message I sent to ALM with no response from them.I only gave them 1 star because it wouldn’t let me post with 0 stars.

Gina Peters: I could say so much…but in a nut shell….filthy car, pushing fees, poor communications….my husband test drove a truck and was texting the sales man all day the following day. We had an appointment to buy the vehicle. We go to the dealership only to find out our salesman called in sick (but was texting my husband all day? 🤔) oh and the truck we we’re going to buy sold an hour before we showed up. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ It was like an hour drive for us!Oh well, I read reviews here, on FB and other sites I think it’s best we didn’t buy it anyway.
