REI: what do users think?
Kevin Straughter: I’m sad to say that my experience at this location hasn’t been so well. Whenever I’ve gone to this location Im always overlooked or not acknowledged. I once had to return a pair of Solomon hiking boots and when I went to return them you would’ve think that I stole them instead of purchasing them. This time around I ordered a pair of Timberland boots online and I had to pick them up at this location. The only person to acknowledge me was the cashier who checked me out. However I notice that all the other customers who didn’t look like me was being ask was everything okay. Even the employees who weren’t helping other customers didn’t acknowledge me. I guess I will try another location or take my business elsewhere. REI really needs to do better on diversity and treating all customers the same at this location.
Tony Zebrowski: Hopefully Merrill doesn't have some kind of exclusive contract with REI to sell their shoes, because I am fed up with their shoe department. I have been there twice now in the last month trying to buy my particular Merrill shoe that I enjoy, but I cannot get service. Today the guy completely blew me off and though he said he'd be with me in a second, he disappeared into the clothing section with another customer. I used to sell shoes at Finish Line and I could certainly work with more than one customer at once. The disappointment as a longterm member and credit card holder cannot be understated, but REI is no longer committed to selling shoes, there I am no longer committed to buying from them.
Malia Johnson: I just came to try on shoes without intending on buying anything, yet the employees were completely understanding and still helped me find some options for good, comfortable shoes. Shout out to Brett for helping me out!
J L: Love REI. Great gear, great quality. Today However, not so much. Wait at the shoe department for my turn. Young man gets me shoes to try on, then tells me it's time for his lunch and leaves. All the other sales staff is busily engaged, so I guess I'm supposed to wait till his lunch is over. If it's time for lunch don't take another customer. If you do take a customer, then realize it's lunch time, do a handoff of the customer to another staff member. Just my thoughts. Didn't get any shoes today, would have liked to try some others. Oh well.
Cody Cummings: I’ve been to a ton of REI locations across the US and this one was great. Everyone was really quick to offer their knowledge and honest opinions on products and apparel.
gary deutsch: Nothing in there that interested me
John Weeks: Excellent customer service - went today to get fitted for a backpack I had bought on their website. I was helped by Betsy, who went above and beyond to make sure I had as good of a fit as possible. She also provided a lot of background information that was really helpful. Highly recommend this store.
Mary Baker: Love REI. Great products, everyone is helpful and friendly.
Rachel S: A smaller but well organized REI. It wasn't too busy so we were able to easily get help from staff when we asked. They also have a bike shop and used gear sales.
Peter Qumsiyeh: First time there. Similar to Bass Pro or Cabela’s. Great deals on running shoes.
Matt S: Every time I come in I remember why this is the only place I go for gear. Bob in the shoe department is a G! Cashed in my dividend and saved 30 bucks. REI rocks. Can’t wait to break in my new hikers.
American Lover: You want to hike and camp after walking inside. We went to shop next door, walked inside, and were inspired. REI is incredible. Experience the process of planning your next camping trip after you shop inside REI.
Brian Stovall: Great gear. Pricey but worth it on most things.Staff oversold (pressured) me several times in the store to sign up for their rewards program.
Robert Washburn: I like REI, they carry quality lines of products. You can find cheaper stuff elsewhere, but REI and their vendors stand behind their products for a reason.
Karen Sanders: The gentleman who helped me with hiking boots this evening was excellent.
Greg Crewell: Love it! Lots of selection and great customer service.
Leila Sardari: Very rude staff! Make sure you put your brand clothes on when you go there. I liked a bike for my 4 year old at this store and finally got a chance to take him there. He loved it! I asked my kid to sit on the little training bike to give it a test ride. He rode it around a bit, my fault! this guy came to us like we have been violating the trafic rules and been putting lives in danger… I felt so embarrassed! And immediately asked my child to get off the bike, the guy is following us to make sure we put the bike in it’s right place! I ended up telling my kid that the guy has bad manners and we can’t buy it from here! I’m never going back again.
Rebecca Harding: I literally just walked out. Went to purchase a pair of low collar running shoes. The associate, who seemed very friendly to the customer he served just before me, was less than enthusiastic about helping me. Didn’t offer to look for something else or offer suggestions when he didn’t have the color that I was looking for. Lost a $200 sale and a customer.
Mark Whelan: I purchased over $500 worth of goods at the REI on Brentwood in St. Louis, MO today. I was informed (after I made the purchase) that not only did they not have gift boxes for the items, they did not have bags at all, as part of their zero carbon footprint policy. I would have to carry all my purchases out to my car in the pouring rain with no protection for any of it. I understand the NCF policy but this is taking it a little too far. At the very least, they should offer reusable shopping bags at a small cost. It may not have bothered me as much if I hadn't noticed while shopping that the young staff asked all the younger shoppers if they needed help but not one of them asked me if i needed help or even made eye contact. I am in my late 60's. Not a great experience overall.
Mary Anm Hunziker: I had a very bad experience. The gentleman was very condescending. I will never go back!
Tad Hylkema: Gotta give a shout out to PJ on the register. He had a great attitude and joked with us as we checked out. We left with a smile on our faces as well as a deal on shoes!

Richard Rice: Great place for outdoor fashions!

Greg R: Great selection on men’s and women’s outerwear, and hunting clothes and accessories. Staff is attentive and very friendly. They regularly rotate stock through the sale racks, and there’s always a bargain to be found. If you need a quality backpack, this is the place too. They do a great job in handling FFL transfers. Never been disappointed and have been shopping there for many years.
joshua conyers: Great store with an awesome selection and wonderful staff. Highly recommend.

Jon Devlin: Some really good deals on last season Patagonia.
David Anglin: Look for seasonal sales. The store has a moderately expensive inventory of unique items and to move them once the season is over some pretty nice discounts are available. I recommend it.
Rodney Yoswig: Walked past the window as we were walking around the shops in the area. Looking at the clothing displayed in the the front window, I realize this was an quality store. I noticed some clothing from Patagonia and said to my wife, let's stop in here and check this out. We went and possibly met either the manager or store owners, great guys who sat and chattedwith us probably for good 30 to 45 minutes, talking about all kinds of topics. Fun place to browse around for a while. My wife found a rain coat that she'd been looking for for quite some time. So we walked out of there happy campers. Made a nice purchase made some friends here. If your in the area I recommend to store highly.
Chris Connaway: Don’t be fooled by the small footprint of the front of the building. They have a great selection of top tier clothing and accessories for the outdoor enthusiast. Friendly staff to help guide you to the correct equipment that you need for your outdoor adventure.
michael gladson: Great assortmentOutstanding service
Jack Jameson: Love the old school feel. Well run outdoor shop. Makes me wish I was in town more!

Old Mountains Gear Exchange: what do users think?
Eric Lindhorst: I shop here first for outdoor gear. Might not always have what I am looking for and I never leave empty handed.
Kristy Palmer: Heard about this place and decided to stop in to check it out despite I didn't need anything. Talked with the owner who is very nice and knowledgable about his inventory. Positively will return.
Daniel Romine: Awesome place, but often not open when their hours say they should be.
kidstl me: Neat place...!!!
Jack Doheny: Greg is the absolute man! Not only is this store super cool, but Greg is super knowledgeable & kind. They always have a super cool & affordable selection. The vintage gear they have here is TOP NOTCH. You'd think Greg is a historian or something with everything he knows about this gear.Cannot recommend this place enough! I always stop by when I'm in town.
joshua hart: This dude when a step above and beyond for me and even though he didn't have what I was looking for he really made me feel like a valued customer that I can definitely say that if you're looking for someone with knowledge of anything to do with mountains or mountain ranges or equipment he is going to be your guy he is incredibly well versed down to knowing Specific dates and production lines for equipment as far back as the seventies off the top of his head
PJ “Pjk” K: Friendly and knowledgeable.
Mike Fox: Just picked up a nice used pack for a good price. Greg was very helpful. I'll definitely be back.
Devante Chapman: Awesome store!
JN clouddragon9: Always a treasure hunt
K Hyde: I love the idea of a resale/consignment shop for outdoor gear, but this place doesn't price anything on the shelves...which leads me to wonder how prices are determined and whether they're applied consistently (regardless of the buyer). Why not make pricing transparent?
Isaac Schmitt: THE best store in Webster. Weird hours but worth it
Joe Hillmeyer: Hidden gem. ‘nough said.
Ed Cathers: This dude loves camping and the outdoors. Quality gear at an affordable price.
keane bell: This store is 1 of a kind. Small shop with genuine merchandise. The guy that runs it is knowledgeable and fair.
Zuhra Korkutovic: Greg was really nice and explained to us what all he did in stock. He had some summer items on sale and we scored almost brand new Keen hiking sandals for $20! I will definitely be back again when I am looking for outdoor gear. Hit this place up before you hit up REI. :)
Anthony Dimeglio: Best place to find just what youre looking for and what you wouldn't expect to find. I'll always stop here before heading out on the trails. If youre in need of climbing gear ask Greg, he'll track it down.
Kristin Harper: Great place to find gently used gear. Good prices, good finds, and the staff know what they're talking about. Whether you're an experienced adventurer or it's your first time going hiking, camping, rock climbing, skiing etc., this is the place to go stock up! And, if you outgrow something or want to sell some of your gently used gear, you can on consignment here too!
Ben Gielow: Cool stuff, knowledgeable staff. Buy sell trade.
KeViN & BeThAnY Morgan: AWESOME
Derek Scheller: Great gear, great sales, and a super friendly staff. It's basically impossible to leave without something even if it's not what you originally came for!

Alpine Shop - Kirkwood, MO: what do users think?
Kyle Mann: Worst place to buy shoes. They maje comission and are reluctant to allow you to test shoes. Try Big River, Fleet Feet, Running Niche, REI, or even Amazon before shopping for shoes here.
Dave C: We were trying to find a trekking pole to match one that my wife already owned - and this store had it!Seems like a trivial thing maybe, but they shipped it out right away and it was a perfect match! Thanks VERY much!
greg9642: A+ experience. Ask for Spencer and he will hook you right up.
Scott Perdue: I got my mountain bike cleaned here and it appears that they contaminated my brake pads with something (probably chain lube) and now my brakes squeal terribly. I'll probably have to replace the pads to fix it, but I think I'll be taking it elsewhere for that.
John Randall: I brought my dad in for the Spring Showcase in April to look at Kayak’s. Ben was very knowledgeable and honestly an asset to anyone interested in outdoor recreation. Our new Jackson Kayak won’t be the last thing we buy here. Thanks for all of the help Ben.
Bob Hines: A great local place to get all of your outdoor needs. Friendly and knowledgeable staff always willing to help you find exactly what you are looking for.
Brandon: Shop local! Awesome staff very friendly and informative. Will return for my outdoor needs.
Chris Doebert: Best place for anything snow in St. Louis. I've been reliably buying gear from them for years. The people there always hook me up and I've never been disappointed.
Bradlb03: Went to get fitted for ski boots and to get bindings mounted, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a business. Even though it was incredibly busy and they were short staffed, everyone was extremely friendly. I ended up leaving with exactly what I came for.
Leigh Hellrung: Great selection, awesome service. There was a bin full of drinks at the door in case you were thirsty!
KING OFSTADIA: Great Store, a bit on the pricey side but completely expected.....
Sean Zalmanoff: There was a mistake made with a couple pairs of bindings and skis. The "mistake" ended up being OK, but Eric and the rest of the guys in the ski department owned it and made the experience positive. We had a good resolution, but they offered to do really anything I wanted. It was great to deal with people do the right thing!
Kevin Guo: Great for ski and snowboard stuff
Susan Pregon: Best Hiking Everything! From clothing to shoes. Alpine shop has itBest part is the service. All staff are fabulous, but a special shout out to Sye and Angie, who helped me time and again, to fix a pesky hiking shoe fitting issue . They are super amazing!
karen mccoy: Very helpful sales people, both on the phone and in person. Thanks, Maria, for helping me find the perfect trekking stick with a dual-function handle that functions as either a stick or a cane. Great local business.
lance alfredson: I had such a great experience with an online order . None of the mega camping sites had the backpack, I wanted, in all 3 colors available. Caleb put me on hold went and personally verified they had all 3 colors, took my order and shipped them the same day!! I will definitely recommend to friends and absolutely use this shop as much as possible!!
C Pope: My goto shop for disc golf supplies! This is a really fun store to browse in. They also have a really good bike department. We have brought our bikes in now and then for service and they always do a great job. The bikes are also ready when promised. Their staff is helpful if you have questions. I highly recommend this place for all your outdoor needs. They are great!
Mike Wildhaber: This is the place to go if you want quality stuff . I bought a pair of hiking/ casual shoes 👞 a nd they are super nice.
Matt Morrison: Eric helped me pick my kayak, paddle, and cart. Showed me how to strap my boat in my truck. Very helpful great local business to support
Thomas Kibbee: I had a relatively simple need for a specialized washer. The bike manufacturer would take forever to get it to me so I popped into the Alpine. They tossed me one and I am going to make sure they are lauded for the assistance. If you need sports related items, go there.Want to learn a new sport, get to the Alpine.Bored? Buy a pizza and share with those guys. They will entertain you.
Pavel Mykhaylenko: Receiving hours 9 to 5 .

debbie goodman: What a sweet find. Great clothes, GREAT GEAR. We will definitely be back.

Vik: Great spot to get high-end camping/outdoor gear
Erik Soell: One of my favorite spots. Great staff, incredible displays, top-shelf clothing and gear.
Mike Whipkey: This place is great. They stock high quality items that will last forever. You will discover brands that I haven’t seen before in St Louis.
Christopher Boemler: I love their thoughtfully cultivated selection of standard menswear. I can tell that this is going to be a company that’s going to be around for a very long time. This is going to become one of my regular stops when I’m running around town.
Matt Lee: Fantastic menswear and outdoor shop. The staff was incredibly nice and seemed knowledgeable based on some conversations I overheard. A welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Tracey Reed: Love your store! I went to this location for some R&R just to find out that it is based in my own home State! I am going to stay in the loop from here on out. I’m currently wearing the coziest, best made classic sweater with my North Face 1/2 zip. I got more from this store than anywhere else! Very nice employees. This is a great sportswear and more store.
Haris Nuhanovic: Allison was awesome! Super helpful and friendly. If you need anything from her she is your girl!!!
Armin Jusufovic: Helped me pick out a new pair of trainers for the gym. Definitely a great place to shop with many options 👏🏼
Karen Elizabeth: Let’s talk about Bailey! She welcomed me in with open arms and taught me everything there is to know about Vuori. Holy cow! What an amazing brand and the products were a dream! Treat yourself here and say hello to Bailey!

Academy Sports + Outdoors: what do users think?
Ravi Vangavety: Wide range of sporting , shoes options
Matt Giblin: I generally purchase most of my Under Armor gear from here but I have also purchased other items here also. Great selection and prices.
SEAN Hogan: Seven people in uniform talking with each other/ walking around. Only one cashier ringing people out- with a huge line at checkout. It sucked.
Mason White: Good selection of stuff any many good priced clothing
Steve Krewson: Always a great experience. Kuddos to the store manager it may be the nicesest well organized retail store in West County, very high standards, should be proud.
Joel Garcia: Stores firearms transfer fees recently went up to $50 for transaction up from $20. Also this store stopped carrying any ar-15 style rifles. Academy used to be an awesome store but now they appear to just be another liberal dive. I won’t be coming back
Bradley Barnes: Well stocked store and had a supprusing amount of BBQ grills and accessories. They carry B&B lump charcoal one of the best brands I have used in my egg. Stocking other brands of premium lump charcoal now, FOGO and Jealous Devil. I picked up the FOGO cooked well was a little less the the B&B premium. Nice to have two brands to choose from when one os out of stock.
Sreevani Malyala: Service was fast when I asked the employeesGreat deal prices to
w penovich: Ask the guy behind the gun counter about helping a kid with recoil fears and what shells to get. Rolls his eyes and huffs. “ I don’t have much 20 gauge. What’s out there is what I have” doesn’t even point out where it is. Tool.
KristynaE R: Ordered online, great price for new balance women athletic shoe, curb side was quick, thank you for having what I wanted and the price was great!
Dustin Boyer: Have a good selection for camping, hiking and fishing gear.
John David Clarke: Service was friendly and efficient. Managers were professional.
Niecey Wooldridge: Kinda empty
Paul Wilson: Nice place. Prices are good. Nice selection. Wish I could afford some of the rifles and pistols (dont have extra cash). Will go back. Staff is very friendly.
Dakota Womack: Great prices on ammo
Maria Lopez: I went to look for track spike shoes for my daughter, they didn't have a good selection, just had one option available. Hopefully they will offer more options in the future. The employees were very friendly and assisted me.
Alijah “UnamedChannel” C: Very friendly and helpful staff, with reasonable prices.
Kri My: Clean, well organized, great selection on everything.
Jacob Ottinger: Cheapest prices I've seen for anything sporting and fitness. Kids cleats cheap and quality.
Matt Weaver: They have a wide range of items and a large selection. Lots of clothing to pick from. A pretty good outdoor selection. The Academy Sports brand is good. Lots of coolers to shop from. I like this location and it is very convenient.
Zachary Winslow: Manager went above and beyond to help with an issue I had with a product I purchased, excellent customer service!

DICK'S Sporting Goods: what do users think?
Isabelle H: I want to shout out Tom in the golf/tennis department. Although he did not have time to regrip our golf club, he took the time to talk us through the process and gave genuine and educated advice.
ashely stan: Dick’s Sporting. We’re like the Home Depot of sporting goods. You have a question? Figure it out on your own.
Nick James: Best place to get football gloves
Gypsy Dead: It’s difficult to find things, but when you do find it, it’s guaranteed they sure as hell have plenty of it!
Fernando Ambrocio: Good
Franco Storaci: Ottimo posto
tasthedingus: Love checking out the outdoor gear here, I hope this location adds more climbing equipment.
Angela Carpenter: Love Divks. Always find great deals and awesome selection
Nancy Etling: I would like to give a shout out to Carlo who went above and beyond to find the item I was looking for. 2 other employees wouldnt take the time even though your website said you had 7 of the item in stock. Give this guy a raise!
Kevin Guo: All of our visits have been pleasent
Shelly Rone: I had been looking to buy the NordicTrack Vault Complete for a while. When it went on sale, as a Labor Day Special, they were flying off the shelves and I couldn't find one within a 100 mile radius. I happened to call and check at the store closest to me. Steve's team just had two delivered. There were several complications which made it not an easy process (it was kind of unbelievable and comical, in fact) but they still made sure I got one. I used up a lot of their time yet they were so accommodating and nice! They even loaded that heavy thing up in my car for me and wouldn't even accept my offer to buy them lunch. What a great group of fellas! Amazing customer service!!!!!! Thanks guys! ; ) ; ) ; )
LilPandaFlex “Panda”: It's false advertising
Joseph Suszynski: Woke companies dont get my money
S JY: LargeBut some products had dust on top.And some of the packages in the supporter section were ripped.
Colleen Piel: Great selection of kids' and teenagers' clothes, shoes, swimwear, and sports gear. Staff is friendly and helpful, too.
Yifan Zhang: Understaffed and disorganized.
Kazuya Darklight: Lots of selection, very friendly staff. I don't know if it's their fault or the mall's fault that it was weirdly hard to leave because the exit escalator and elevator we're both broken. Their inline selection was nearly only one of each size per model except for kids, so they of course managed to not have my size in the model I wanted.
John Brumit: Awesome place Madison in shoes was a great help
Denise Mitchell: This store was so large. I didnt know where to start shopping. They had so much to see, it was clean and well lit.
Ben: Overcharged by $5 after waiting in line for 20 minutes.. is it worth the 30 minute drive to figure out and get my $5 back? Probably not... Maybe a manager will see this review and make it right, but I'm not foolish enough to gamble on their customer service department.
Thomas Gebhardt: Pricey
