rebekah tresslar: Service is basically ordering online and eating there. I ordered the smothered catfish was lacking seasoning the crawfish, were over cooked, rice was kinda hard, cornbread was dry and had no flavor. The green onion was even dry and shriveled up.Food: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Jonathan Irving: The owner was very rude and dismissive to my girlfriend and I. She was more concerned about accommodating a customer with a dog than my girlfriend who expressed she had a phobia of dogs. She went so far as to she was being aggressive.

BB Kabor: Service was very slow, as if they don’t care about their diners or they never ran a restaurant business before. Gumbo was very spicy and hardly had any seafood. We asked for extra corn bread to tame down the spicy gumbo and the waiter told us they were running low on bread, it was only 7:40pm. That was a first in a lifetime to hear a restaurant is running low on bread, it was a Saturday and they weren’t very busy.

Quinn Bush: Customer service was awesome..nice vibe and the food was amazing
Truth Teller: It was pretty good. They had some cool stuff on the walls. It was rated high and figured we'd give it a try, but we'll stick to the other place on broadway for our Cajun fix.It was a turnoff to see that we were charged for an extra piece of cornbread when we only received one piece of cornbread for four meals. I think that's kind of petty.I have had better shrimp and grits in my hometown. There's was good and looks good, presentation wise but it is what it is. The owners don't seem like this information. To be specific, it was not worth the price to eat here. Money is better spent at the other place on Broadway in my opinion.

The Ann: The food makes me happy 😊, we are originally southerners, and finding decent southern cooking 🍳 has been challenging. Originally ordered fried green tomatoes, and they were delicious. Our child ordered the Big Easy with shrimp 🍤 and devoured it before my husband and I could finish our orders of Minage a Trois. Nicely seasoned, great sauces, a wonderful filling meal. Staff was also cheerful 😊 and helpful. All in all, it is a great place to stop and eat.
Hayden Bland: Main dishes are really appetizers. Fries with a topping for $18.00. 2 lemonade drinks $12.00. Not real Creole food, more like food court food so don't go by pics on Google Maps.Food: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Not only were we amazing at how amazing and fresh everything tasted, but this little jewel in the middle of the foundry is one of the best places we’ve had to eat in St. Louis. Ever. It’s also worth mentioning that the staff were all very kind and energetic! Amazing find!
Ramone Hamilton: Food was amazing they even scrapped together the last of a dish they were out of to satisfy my needs would definitely recommend 10 out of 10
Elisa Hancock: The food, the seasoning, and the BREAD PUDDING 😩 My husband and I had the menage a trios. So delicious! Perfectly prepared. We shared, and both got full. Now, back to the bread pudding. I have been looking for good bread pudding for 10+ years. It is prepared with candied pecans, which some are very hard, so beware. Regardless, I ordered a second helping to take home. You have to try it!
Duncan Lewis: Wonderful food and friendly staff. I do recommend.
Hailey Blanner: Absolutely delicious food and wonderful service. Definitely will be back!
Michele: I had an awesome experience "P S". He detailed many options available which made it hard to choose! I really wanted the fried green tomatoes but decided on the Big Easy. Wonderful choice! I chose the Andouille Sausage on top. This was a great share with my group. "PS" was very helpful, kind, and fun to talk to. I look forward to visiting again because of he and his insightful suggestion!!Kid-friendliness: I saw many children enjoying the venueParking: Parking was conventional with outside and garage access and also a Valet choice.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access into the forum for a range of multiple handicapped experiences.

Kenton Coonts: I ordered online from here on Easter Sunday; their Easter hours were not updated and so when they were closed it allowed me to still place an order through toast. When I arrived to picrestaurant was closed. I was not upset about this because this was mostly my fault for not confirming they were open, but there was also no phone number for me to call and check.I paid for my food and toast said it was ready, so I went to pick it up. I left and emailed them about what happened. I was not unreasonable in the email I sent, I simply asked for a refund, and I could not go there in person since I was only visiting St. Louis. They responded back about 3 weeks ago, I have sent multiple emails since but have not heard back. I have reached out on Instagram and email.I understand mistakes happen; my family owned restaurants growing up, I have worked in the food industry for nearly 5 years of my life, sometimes random things happen that are nobodies fault… that being said, disregarding customers and creating negative word of mouth is very unprofessional. I feel if I would have been reaching out for any other reason other than needing my money back and asking them to correct this, I would’ve gotten responses already. The food looks amazing. I love the menu. It seems like a good place, and I hate that I’m having to leave this review; I would like to take it down once my issue has been resolved, but I feel like this is the only option I have left since I’m unable to communicate with any staff or management. I’m very frustrated with the situation and hope it gets taken care of so I can take this review down.
Matthew Nanes: So good. Po boy is just right, and they have the first decent grits I’ve found in St Louis. They can be a little disorganized at times and are occasionally out of random ingredients, but it’s still worth it because the food is so good.
carmen smith: Parking: This place was highly recommended by people on instagram and Facebook so I tired it today . We bought the fried green tomatoes and that ahit was horrible! I took it back and she re cooked them a bit harder, but it was still Horrible! 9.06 for 4 tomatoes and it's not homemade they only cook homemade green fried tomatoes at the other location on pine.will never go there again I really wish I could post these slimey tomatoes
Kanis Grady: I was not able to order due to the fact that the kitchen was backed up every 20mins and barely any orders were placed.. I was waiting the initial 15mins they estimated, got back in line in 20-25mins and they closed orders again.. Chaperones need to be present when kids are on shift in order for operations to run smoothly..

Cajun Gourmet: what do users think?
Samira Jones: I never had an issue eating here until today. Now I’m wondering what kind of safe food practices are in place here, if any. I ordered my food, the young lady apparently gave me double rice which I did not ask for. For context, I asked for half noodles and half rice, never been a problem, but the man at the cash register proceeds to take my food container back, scoops half the rice back into their rice container AFTER it has touched meat, sauce, etc. Seems quite unsanitary and may even violate all types of health code violations. Smh Never again, but y’all be Blessed.
Christial Poole: Delicious
Ed Moore: Horrible service!!!! Seems as if there is a new staff and they are stingy and unappreciative. Their attitude shows it. I will NEVER dine here again
Veronica Mccoy: I have been wanting some bourbon chicken for weeks now.. and I just happened to be in the area .and I must say I was was pleased with it ..😋😋
MissL Thomas: Very rude to the customers the black guy is ok the Asian manager with the white hair is rude cheap and nasty and unprofessional please stay away from here he micromanage his employees to make sure they don’t give you correct portion the turn over rate is high new people every time I go after this last time I will not be back a bug or roach of some sort was in food. I was turned off and disgusted the manger was upset when I returned the roach infested food he better be lucky I didn’t contact my attorney. Stay away from this place please. I take my health very serious as well sanitation.
Jordan Saddler: Cooks their rice fully and taste better than panda In My Opinion
Brandon: This place is a rip off &their rude to their guests &they don't care about their guests feelings or opinions or feedback &when you come here &buy their food &their fountain sodas they dont give you free refills &they want to charge you full price if you want a refill &they dont even do one free refill &their blaming it on covid &their also blaming it on everything is going up when they buy the soda fountain bags for $15dollars a bag &then they sell the fountain sodas the large size fountain soda for $3.49&they have a bad attitude here &the food is old &dry¬ fresh.I will never eat here &I was trying to ask Tom the manager or the owner questions &he threaten he would call security on me if i didn't leave or if i wanted him too &I didn't want any problems or trouble with him all I simply wanted to do was just ask questions cause I was curious to know.I will never come back here ever again. They lie &the food is not cajun it not even close to cajun food it's more like a Asian place or Asian food &this place is a DUMP!!I have the right to ask questions!!
Dominique Nash: The food we enjoyed on our Mall Adventure was fresh and delicious!! The price is amazingly affordable and the staff is very respectful and professional. I felt at "home" eating their Bourbon & Hot Braised Chicken 😋 The rice was great! The Lo Mein was AMAZING!! THEY EARNED ALL 5 Stars 🌟Features: They follow all local and state ordinances.
Michael Ross: I didn't notice any cajun food here, but people say there is Jambalaya. I'll take their word for it. This place is really just a rebranded Mandarin Express. Same food, same flavors similar prices to Mandarin Express at the Riverwalk Mall in New Orleans. However, at every Mandarin Express I've been to, you get twice the meat I got here. The food tasted good, was pretty expensive, and the Rangoons were fantastic. I was just disappointed that I stood in line and it was not Cajun food in spite of the name.
R0YALTY ZRO: Have excellent food It be busy on SaturdayDine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes Takeout: Yes …More
christy paracha: The only thing good was the hot braised chicken. The white rice was just American instant rice and not even good. The noodles were over cooked and under cooked at the same time. No money back I got sick from the noodles. I will not go back there.
Brewski: Hot braised chicken is the best choice
Evan Dumas: First of all, Food is great, I'd recommend them for food, customer service, the lady was rude to me and my significant other, over charged me for a egg roll I cannot have since I am a vegetarian... and didn't give my significant other enough chicken and charged him 2.50 extra... food is great though small portions for the price nahhh!
Casaundra Patterson: Bourbon Chicken and rice and vegetables were great.
LaShunda Hicks: I got the Bourbon chicken. It has great flavor but the chicken is overcooked and taste like it was from yesterday.
Daniel Barnes: Food was fresh and tasty. The jambalaya is good, not as spicy as in thought it would be but for those with less tolerance but still like spicy ita a good choice.
Allistair: The food from here is a mixed bag. Not the best, but some are decent.
Jaemin Ko: Tastes amazing, WAY better than panda express.
Drew Winder: Excellent service and food all around
Marsha Bruner: Always friendly staff. Foods always delish!
Alexis Keys: Food was amazing!

Although the menu appears to be extensive, 60% of the items were out of stock. There isn't much seating available. The owners informed me that they were "backed up" but neither of them went into the kitchen to help the 1 cook who was pretty much doing the role of multiple people.

up4rmhere: Would not recommend. I paid $21 for a plate of shrimp cajun pasta, it was wayy too much seasoning and not nearly enough shrimp. The sauce was too watery. On top of that I waited almost 50 minutes for my plate after being told 25 minutes. The only pleasant thing about my experience was the young tall light skinned guy that took my order was very nice.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that uses cornmeal to fry shrimp sometimes. I absolutely love patronizing my black businesses especially when it appeared to be ran by some young black men.Wakanda Forever!

Reese E: The staff were very informative and friendly. The food was OUTSTANDING!! We were not a fan of the smell of weed or the kids running around. Make them little hostesses and have them give a bottle of water to waiting customers. You must wait for your food to be made-to-order. Go for delivery or the curbside pickup. You will not be disappointed!! The seafood delux xrab boil was delish!!Parking: Lots of available parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Tons of space.

Creole With A Splash Of Soul: what do users think?
Danielle R: BEST CAJUN/CREOLE IN ST. LOUIS! The restaurant itself was gorgeous, the staff was very friendly & the food was phenomenal! We got catfish/shrimp, catfish poboy & creole fries.Catfish/shrimp: usually I worry about getting catfish smothered in sauce because it tends to get mushy, but their catfish was SUPER crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It was seasoned to perfection. The house made remoulade sauce is delicious, not too tangy like other remoulades. They know how to bring on the heat! Loved the little kick it had.Catfish poboy: something really cool about the poboy is they serve it on garlic bread, yum! It comes with a variety of toppings, which you can customize if you want. The catfish was also crispy, moist and seasoned to perfection. Only thing we would suggest is asking for that delicious creole sauce added on.My only criticism I would add for future growth is maybe going with different fry choice. Both the creole fries and regular fries with the poboy seemed limp. Maybe a more sturdy fry that can withstand all the sauce and oil in the creole fries. Other than that, the experience was excellent! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 We will for sure be back & bring others!PS: I bet the brunch here is 🔥🔥🔥

Danielle L: The cook and wait staff are extremely overwhelmed in operating this restaurant. To the point that I wonder why they opted to run it as a full-service place instead of just offering counter service.A friend and I came on Mother's Day, as we both had recently lost our moms and wanted to try and make the best of the day. I had called ahead earlier in the week to make a reservation and was told they don't take reservations for parties smaller than five. I show up on Sunday and was pretty much told that the wait was 45 minutes and that I should have called ahead and made a reservation. 😑We both decide to wait, but as we waited, it was clear we wouldn't be eating for at least two more hours. We heard as servers went to other tables and explained that there was at least a half hour delay in the kitchen. Not good. We decided to just pay for it drinks and head someplace else.Maybe they were overwhelmed by how busy Mother's Day can be, but there are ways to manage that. Like encouraging reservations, limiting the day's menu, offering carry-out. There are too many other quality restaurants in St. Louis for me to deal with the chaos of this place, so I'll have to pass.

Lyn Dee578: The chicken and shrimp nachos is very good. If you are into a creole soul mix this is the place for you.Kid-friendliness: Did not bring our kiddos. A lady did have her children there
DeAnna King: I want to give this place more stars because the food was good, but the service & attitudes of staff was enough to probably not come back.Came in with a friend around 6:50p and were told that it was about a 40 min wait. We agreed to wait, but he didn't ask for any info, name, number, etc.. I came back and asked if we could just sit at the bar, but he said it would still be about 40 min till we could eat due to the kitchen being busy. So another guy asks for my name & number and tells us that the table would be ready by 7:30pm, but he'd call me. We walked to kill time & when I looked at my watch it was already after 8pm and no phone call. We decided to head back to check in, because at that point we were hungry. The staff just looked at us like we had 3 heads. A girl told us to just find an empty table. We sit at a dirty table, and someone mentions that he needed to wipe it clean.. He never came back. We sat there for a good 5 min before I got up and found menus for us. Few min later, the waitress approaches the table looking extremely unhappy, to the point I asked her if everything was okay. She replied No & that she pretty much was over the night and didn't want to be there. We hesitantly laughed it off, ordered, ate, and left. The fact that the restaurant automatically charges 15% gratuity says something, because leaving a tip after all of that was questionable -- and I'm a pretty good tipper, despite bad service. The food was good, but after that whole ordeal, not worth it to come back.
Joy Marbley: Today is Mother's and went to this restaurant for the first time. My family and I sat at the bar like listening to the Temptations song over and over again which was fine, but when it came to the service it stinks. We asked how long would it be for them to take our orders, gentleman and young replied an half hour so we said we would wait. So we asked for drinks. So other people started arriving and in disbelief the lady worker had taken a mans order that walked into the place not even 10mins and we had been waiting for 30 mins or more. I looked at this young lady again in disbelief, looking straight eye to eye at her hoping she would acknowledge that we are still waiting and that she would eventually say she apologize and be willing to take our oder. No such thing happen, we asked to pay for the two drinks and then left there restaurant hungry and very unhappy. Very unprofessional no apology no nothing, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant anyone.
Darian J: Won’t be coming back to this place again. The customer service was atrocious. My family and I were never served and to top things off we waited patiently while waiters took people who just walked in orders, neglecting us and no apology. There’s no system for first come, first serve. On a busy day, avoid this place at all cost. Thinking about opening a business right next to them and show em how a real business operates.

Ronzhanae Walters: I’ve been reading the reviews before I made mine and realized that whoever is responding to the reviews can’t take true criticism. I don’t think anyone wants to give a restaurant 1-2 stars. Anyways, went for a graduation dinner, had to make reservations. It took 30-45 minutes for us to get drinks. After that, it took 2-3 hrs for people to get their food. Sides of vegetables were coming out and people were already done with their food. I think Gordon Ramsey woulda shut it down for sure. You don’t have people waiting 2-3 hrs for food and the prices so high. Plus they slap an extra 15% gratuity. It was so many nice people pleasantly waiting for food and should’ve gotten it for a discount or free because that’s ridiculous. I spent most of my Saturday evening. 6-9pm.. and got my food at 8:40pm
isabella douglas: I came here with my family for a celebration, and ALL the food was amazing! Also had excellent service and we are definitely coming back again I had their special of the day, which were chicken tacos, served with their special Cajun sauce, and it was instantly a new favorite of mine. levi Friedman: Yes. These flavorless, shrimp look and taste like they came from a $5 frozen box of shrimp which can be purchased at your local Aldi stock up store. There will be plenty there because no one wants to eat them... oh wait! ..... Hook & Reel has already bought out the entire stock to resale to unsuspecting consumers. $16 wasted on a low quality meal which shouldn't have been more than $7. The tumbleweed blowing throughout the parking lot and inside the restaurant should've been warning enough for me to turn around. Buyer please beware...

Ash: Service was atrocious, the service was extremely slow even with a prior reservation having been made earlier in the week. And once sat down it was approximately 10-15 min before someone took our drink order and that’s not accounting for our food order which took even longer. The staff continued to stare and was a very uncomfortable situation to say the least.
Christine: Two drinks (one alcoholic, one ice tea), 1 basket of fish, a kids meal, and an appetizer of two crab cakes was almost 70 dollars. Ridiculously overpriced for a casual (at best) lunch. Drink was so strong it was undrinkable, which they refused to correct or take off (but gave me a "to go" cup and "watered it down") because of the price. No vinegar for fish and chips (also staff that stare at you in bewilderment when you make a request). Stood waiting for a table b/c no hostess in sight, and she seemed confused that we wanted a table.Won't be back.

Mechelle F: We went to celebrate my daughters birthday. She passed away in February. I emailed April and she immediately responded back and made the reservation for us. Staff was informed for the reasoning as to why we were coming and after we ate they brought out dessert on the house. Yesterday was such a hard day for me, but the staff here made it so much easier. The food was great. The atmosphere was great and I loved the staff.

Monique Grier: The workers there are amazing! Very nice people. But my seafood Mac and Cheese was not it. The noodles were soggy, the shrimp in it was over cooked and it really didn't have no flavor. The crab cake I got tho was delicious.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5Recommended dishes Cajun Crab Cakes …More
michael crutcher: They were at Food Truck Friday in Tower Grove Park this past Friday. They had a good selection of items to choose from and I decided I might try the seafood mac. I went for the bowl portion so I could also try a bowl of jambalaya. Both items were absolutely great. I’m typically hesitant to get jambalaya because most places serve a pasty, gooey mess with too much rice. Cajun seduction’s was far from the typical wallpaper paste jambalaya. It was a great mix of meat & seafood, broth, seasonings, and just the right amount of rice. Both dishes are a little spicy, but great, so if you don’t care for the spice, be aware. I’ll definitely be giving them another visit at the next Food Truck Friday event and might make a trip to their actual brick & mortar shop.
Jenny Johnston: After attending a memorial we decided to get some dinner. We pulled up restaurants in the area and seen this cajun place. Don't let the little hole in the wall building deter you. This place is an absolute gem. The employees are great and the food was amazing and the portions are large. Definitely recommend. Sometimes the best places don't have the flashing signs.
Mister Poke: Dined here with my Godmother. Friendly staff, welcoming interior and food made to order.
