Broadway Shoe Repair: what do users think?
Norma Arnold: I walked through Broadway Shoe Repair’s front door with a pair of damaged heels and because of the quality of work, walked out with what felt like a new pair of shoes! Robert is great at what he does and very knowledgeable. He helped me out in a pinch and I am so grateful he did!! Their shop is conveniently located on Broadway downtown but their shop is small so can be a little hard to find the first time (I drove by 3 times and didn’t see it so I parked and walked and was able to find it easily that way). Give them a try for all of your shoe repair needs! You won’t be disappointed!
T R: Wonderful
Priscilla Daniels: It was just ok. I got the heels of my boots redone, and the black didt match the rest of the boot and didt have a glossy finish like the original heel.
Michael Adams: Great service! Friendly and honest. I would go back again and again.
Ellen Thomas: I brought in a pair of heels that I broke the sole off of and lost and they fixed them right up by the next day. I've worn the shoes twice since and the repair work is perfect and durable. Plus, everyone at the shop was so lovely and friendly. Bring cash.
Meredith Calle: Shoes ready before promised time, friendly, good price and service
Malchezidek ElShaddai: Nothing like an old school shoe shine and repair shop. Shoes done right be craftsmen whom Love and Know Leather.
Edy “EC” Cole: Critical:QualityThe quality of work was poor, will not be a returning customer.
Gregory Flenoid: Professional and courteous
Jefferson Smith: Great service and great conversations....old school perfection.
Sam Burke: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Kevin C. Coley: Had no problem fixing mine. Wife was very happy, she likes that purse.
Jennifer Rodriguez-Frias: The gentleman who was working was kind and friendly. The shop is quite small. The man could tell I was a bit frazzled and out of place and when I mentioned to him I had a long drive and a tricky time getting parking, he expedited my repair (replacing heel taps for my pumps!) and they were done in 30 minutes so I wouldn't have to make another trip and find another spot another day. (I wouldn't count on that always being the case because there appeared to be a lotttttt of other shoes he was working on. I think my repair was just super simple). Make sure you have cash- they don't take plastic. It was very affordable. I highly recommend this shop.
Mark Parker: BEWARE! Horrible service, completely disorganized and neglectful of their customers belongings. I dropped of a beautiful antique leather briefcase and they said they couldn’t find it weeks after I dropped it off. HowTF do you lose a briefcase in a shoe shop? Then they said they thought it had been taken off premise. Then they stopper returning calls.Losing items seems to be a pattern for this place. Makes you wonder if their not finding a more lucrative avenue to profit from their customers belongings other than the fee that they would get for repairing them and returning them to you.
Thomas Walker: I stopped in at the last minute and received not only excellent service, but great conversation.
Nina Houchen: Delightful ole blk gents with an antique trade. Fixed my kicks real nice. Reasonable. 🖤
Julie Cook: They are attention to detail, friendly ole school and nice conversation. My dad and big brother took me there years ago, I'm so happy they are still there. Great job.........
jamiko Tarkington: The staff was great and very knowledgeable
Chris Harsley: They do great work and very reliable, they been a landmark on Broadway for years.
Cameron Andrus: James is fantastic. Old school shoe shine. Fast and at a good price.
Linda Wiley: He has lowered the heel on 3 pair of my shoes and did a very good job. They do not wobble which was a concern going into this. The shop is very small and therefore, very junky but he seems to have a large clientele . One of the customers I spoke with really raved about him. He said he has a shop out in the county and he brings certain jobs to him to repair. I think that is a good recommendation.

Bills Shoe Repair & Sales: what do users think?
Jerry Davis: Great Customer Service and excellent work
Jacquelyn Lancaster-myles: I was told to come back to pick up one heel put on two rubber caps on heels two weeks still not done. VERY DISAPPOINT SHOES WERE FOUND IN FANISIED BEEN NOT EVEN WORKED ON.took my shoes some where else Especially when he said to me he feels as if I'm rushing him he told me when to come back each time I showed up gas wasted and time WOW
Emma Thompson: Shoe repaired & picked up at the time promised. I am pleased with repair. I will use him for future repairs.
Mo Moore: I dropped my purse off in September, with the schedule to pick up date for September 30th. He told me he'd call when it was ready. I hadn't received a call, and since an additional two weeks have passed, I decided to call and check on my repair today. This man can't even find my bag. He asked for my name and number, and I reminded him I gave him that information when I dropped off the purse (he asked for my ticket number when we started the call, so I imagine he pulled the ticket first to verify the item he was looking for. My information should have been right on that ticket where he wrote it.) He got snappy and told me I'm making things difficult.Let's hope he finds my purse. Based on the quality of the repair, I MAY adjust my rating, but I unfortunately, won't be patronizing this business again in the future.
O G: Good affordable timley shoe repair & great polish service on worn and tattered 👞 will definitely 👍 return for service.
tina flenoy: I dropped off a handbag in MARCH 2022 and did not have it ready until JUNE. According to the ticket I was to pickup the handbag on the 21st but they were close so for two and half months I called or stopped by Bill’s Shoe Repair and saw no sign of business inside no sign on door no voicemail when calling I seriously thought the man had died. So I stopped by there one day early or late May and he was open so I walk in two elderly men sitting and Bill on the phone talking about how he attended a graduation and went to the family wedding. He did not have my handbag ready hadn’t even started on the repairs said would call me when it’s ready and appreciate my patience. He never called and said my bag was ready for pickup I just so happen to stop by to check and it was ready.NEVER USE BILLS SHOE REPAIR 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
Toni Cleveland: This is a small business in The Normandy Shopping Center area, I recieved excellent service, very professional and the work quality was top notch. Also the pricing was reasonable. I will continue to use their service!!
epicscout films: Drop my shoes off on a Tuesday, he said they would be ready on Saturday, I didn’t go to pick them up until the following Tuesday & he said come back & pick them up the next Saturday again. I didn’t come until the following Tuesday which now is the 3rd week & he was closed until Thursday. I go in & he said that they still wasn’t ready & to come back Saturday again, I instantly demanded my shoes back, told him to keep the deposit because this is very unprofessional. As he proceeded to give me my shoes back, he made a unprofessional comment & told me that next time buy leather shoes & that mine were man made. Your supposed to be fixing the sole on my shoes & aren’t all shoes man made??? GHETTO!!!!!! now I’m going to the white man
Michelle Williams: Always pleasant to see Mr Bill I'm always happy with his work and honesty on getting rid of shoes that I just can't let of lol
Stacey Johnson: Bill is always professional, customer oriented and pleasant.
Cheryl Polk: My husband won't take his shoes anywhere but here. He can "shine" and repair any shoes or boots with top quality
Cheryl Jackson: Going here a long time & Mr. Bill is a very nice entrepreneur that gets the job done.
T.R Ringo: I love this Shop Repair business. The owner is always personable engaging in relevant conversations. Not only is customer service awesome, but the service is impeccable..
Terry Brooks: Whatever I take to Bill he have no problem fixing purse shoes belts he's the best
Debra Green: Critical:Professionalism,Responsiveness
Ellanita Miller: He did a great job on repairing my boots.
Kimberle Jones: My shoe repair was very poor quality and craftsmanship. The thread used was not a color of the shoe, The stitching was not straight,Also took 2 pairs of shoes in. He only fixed 1 shoe on both pairs, Now I still have to take both pairs to another shop, Was asked for a deposit that was more than half the cost of the total amount. The cost was 24.00. The deposit was 14.00.I paid 20 upfront. Very disappointed and will not return for any future needs.
Larry Maneson: Fair price good servicenice
Deborah Thompson: Great work
Lei Lope Brands: The best in town
Johnson Lancaster: I had a pair of shoes re-soled and a pair of boots repaired. It is quality work.

Bob Stevenson's Shoe Repair: what do users think?
John M. Scheller: I had Bob repair a pair of Sambas and after several months the soles came loose and detached. Upon this discovery, I thereafter took them back into his shop and showed him. Bob stood behind his workmanship and provided a warranty on his labor and materials to repair them again. Bob is a fair and good businessman that has been in the shoe repair business for many years. I highly recommend that you seek Bob Stevenson’s Shoe Repair shop out if you are in need of shoe repair services.
Alex Hall: I went at 5 and they weren't open. Not sure what the actual hours are.
Caya “Grace O'Malley” Aufiero: Love this little shop! Cash only friends, but he does a fabulous job.
Chris Uelk: Honest, quick, and kind. Great work and price.Thank You, Bob
Donny Shoes: The shoe guy is the best in St. Louis..
Kenneth Warner: Bob does great work, has quick turnarounds, is very personable, and his shop is very cool. I highly recommend it.
Katie Oberhelman: Bob was able to fix my very worn down heels that I thought could never be saved, and only charged me the base fee. He is so kind and personable. He really puts time and effort into his projects and goes above and beyond for his customers. He even waited 20 minutes past closing for me so that I could pick up my heels the day they were ready. Best shoe repair in Missouri!!
Rodney Slinkard: Critical:Professionalism
Britta Janssen: I can't say enough positive things, Bob repaired a really beat up pair of boots for me that now look like brand new. There were full holes in the soles and the heels were so worn down, a whole edge was gone. I wish I had a before picture, they looked so bad. I'm so happy with them now!! Bob also fixed the insoles and gave them a nice cleaning. A year ago he already repaired a pair of leather shoes for my husband, so I can also speak for the longevity of his high quality work. Super fair prices, quickly done, nice, old-school store and the sweetest interaction, I would recommend bringing your shoes here to let Bob work his supreme cobbler art on them!
Victor Mitchell: Bad Service
Leia Zumbro: Bob's awesome! He's re soled frye boots for me , they were like new!!! I have a bunion on one foot, he stretches all my shoes for my after looking at my feet and how they wear. He's the best, so glad I found him!
Kristina Marie: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueBob helped me fix a pair of leather sandals I had that were scratched up in a few places, and they look good as new! Extremely pleased with the price, results, and turnaround time. Will definitely be back if I need another pair of shoes worked on!
Oliver Le.: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueBob is the kindness person I’ve never seen before. He is the only Cobbler still doing shoes repair in Missouri, he takes care good job for my boots and teaches me how to protect them. Thank a lot for this Man.
fran jones: Great quality
Kevin Setchfield Lenox: Best shoe guy around!
唐老爸: Experienced shoemaker great customer service. Knows his stuff and will make a fair honest assessment of the project. Will use again.
Alex Goetten: I found this shop on Google, and based on the reviews I took some Red Wing slip on boots there. Bob did a great job on my boots. You can easily recognize that he knows his stuff and has seen it all. I told him my boots were no longer as comfortable as they used to be, and that they started squeaking. He knew exactly what the problem was and told me how to fix it. It wasn’t cheap, but quality work never is. He essentially took apart the whole boot, rebuilt them and then resoled them. The repair work made the boots almost brand new in my opinion. Now I can get another ten years out of these boots instead of having to buy a new pair. That is the good thing about buying good boots. Buy Union Made, Made in America, take care of them and they will take care of you. And when they do need repairing, take them to Bob and he will fix them for you!
Wes Schnitker: Bob is the best cobbler in Saint Louis. Every time I’m in the time flies as we have long great conversations and the work done to save my favorite pairs of shoes is unmatched.
Jane Schlake: Wonderful little shoe repair shop close to Bevo Mill on Gravois.Bob was very friendly and he fixed the strap on my purse while I waited.I will be back sometime soon.
Jeannette Brown: Great service & friendly
Chris Vahlkamp: Candidly, I find Bob to be rather abrupt and finicky. I've had him repair multiple (about 8 pair) of $300+ shoes and while the work was fine, the prices were literally double the highest estimate I could have imagined. Literally 66% of the cost of a new shoe. I don't begrudge anyone making a living, but I felt robbed each time. I go out of my way to be nice to people, and Bob has consistently been rather persnickety with me each time. I won't go back again. He's not rude, he's just odd, and turns away business at the drop of a hat.

Brentwood Shoe & Luggage Repair: what do users think?
Patrick Irue: Best place to fix your leather stuff. The owner is a great guy too and he does amazing work.
Lionel Spearman: The shop did a good job repairing my 20 plus year old boots
Kayla edmond: Very nice place i would recommend
tami bennett: Worst customer service I have ever received. Called and left 2 messages on separate days , never got a cal back. Drove 45 mins only to be told my suitcase isn’t repairable, he isn’t able to provide that in writing for m airline claim, and heTried to get back to me but never actually called me. Not sure how he “tried”….do not recommend.
Jerry Loethen: Very helpful.
Stephanie Freeny - Green: The staff is very friendly. There's a little bit of a wait to get my shoes back. I will update on the rating once I see the work!
Mary Jones: The owner is very knowledgeable and affordable. Definitely will be back. Had a motorcycle luggage zipper go out. He fixed it for 60.00 and I was out the door.
A Dunlap: Friendly staff
Denise Levine: Fabulous. Service was great and fixed a purse that i wasn't sure possible. Thanks John!!!!
Wendy H: Very helpful. Provided me with an affordable solution to my shoe problem.
Portia Stagge: Ask him to replace the clasp on both side of a crossbody bag. He quoted a price of $20. When I returned to pick it up 3 weeks later only one side was complete. Mind you it’s just a clasp that should have taken less time to complete. When I ask him why he didn’t do both side he stated “oh well”. Never again. I ignored how his customer service skills were when I first brought it in thinking he’s from a different generation just let it go. But the “Oh Well” comment and not completing the task I ask you to do and quoting a price and telling me it was for one side is unacceptable.
ErL One: SwaGG!
Carlito Withers: Took my luggage to them and got done fast and quality work.
gregory ellston: Old school and incredible craftsmanship. Thorough knowledge and honest assessment of any footwear.
Katie Thaxton: I took a name brand handbag with a broken hook on the strap in to be repaired. It was a very small piece that was broken, but I was expecting to have to wait for an entirely new hook to be ordered and attached and a couple weeks-long process; how wrong I was - they examined the broken hook, took it to the back and adjusted it, and brought it back to me good as new. The whole process took less than 5 minutes and they didn’t even charge me. I would highly recommend them and will for sure return in the future if need be.
Christy D: I took a piece of luggage in that I've had for about 25 years. He looked at it and told me he wouldn't fix it because where the zipper broke the fix may not hold, and it would cost me about $50-60. I love that he was honest with me. He even told me brands that are worthwhile and the ones to stay away from because they were always coming into his shop. I would 100% do business there again.
Sandy Stolberg: Have used them 15+ years. Consistently happy with the knowledge; unmatched professional service and reasonable pricing. Have referred at least a dozen happy customers over the years.
Liuyuan “Todd” Tan: Positive:Professionalism,QualityI brought in a book bag and was hoping to get the straps replaced. I was pleasantly surprised by the result. Great work.
Bridget Boland: Positive:Quality
Jeff King: I took my old Wolverine 1000 Miles here because the soles on the boots were wearing down significantly. I asked for some recommendations on new soles with a bit more grip and texture, as well as getting the shoes cleaned up/conditioned.He did an amazing job. The soles look amazing, and the boots feel fresh. It took a bit of time to get the job done because he is busy with a lot of orders, but it's worth the wait if you want a professionally done job.Couldn't recommend more.
Chas Vang: In the interest of providing a fair and complete review of this business to any prospective customer, I am providing some additional details not included in the original review. The owner's response is a simple falsehood. The owner did not decline the repair and the business offer was not 'under the table'. The entire transaction and conversation was conducted exclusively with his former employee. The owner was in the back shop, never reviewed the item and was not part of the discussion. Furthermore, the employee provided a business card to accompany the repair ticket that included her name and the name, address, phone number and website for this business. It is impossible to construe this transaction was below the table.Regarding the owner's claim that he attempted to resolve this matter, he provided the employees name and the name and address of her 'below the table' business. Upon inquiring with the city of Brentwood, the city never issued a business license for her or her business at this or any location. So either the owner was knowingly allowing an unlicensed business to operate on his premise or she was in fact a bone fide employee conducting a legitimate transaction for this business. It is also interesting that allowing an unlicensed business to operate within a legitimate enterprise is a common method to launder money or dilute legitimate revenue or defraud communities of their business fees.Original review from May 2021:I dropped off a backpack for a zipper repair in Feb 2021. The owner claims he gave the job to an employee who would perform the repair under her side business. When I never heard back on the repair (May 2021), the owner now claims he is not responsible. When I asked for his assistance - I paid for the repair in advance - to recover my property and to get a refund, he refused and insisted I had to contact the former employee (yes, he also told me he "had to let her go"). Of course her email returns undeliverable and she will not return phone calls. I have placed two professionally conducted phone calls to him and have written a letter requesting his assistance. He is completely unresponsive and uncooperative.

Cobblestone Quality Shoe Repair: what do users think?
haonan xu: Bad fixing. The insole got separated again the same day I picked up the shoe.
Ryan McCALL: Poor service. I was referred here by another shoe repair shop to fix a sole separation. They told me my shoe was unrepairable without even looking at it. I ended up ordering the glue and doing it myself. Either he didn’t know Hite to fix it or he didn’t want to.
Dustin Taber: This was my first time at a Cobbler and I wasn't sure what to expect. After bringing in my much loved (but well-worn) boots for re-soling and cosmetic repair, my experience was nothing but top notch every step of the way. When picking them up, I was SHOCKED at the quality of work performed. While probably not the most inexpensive shop in town, it was worth every last penny. Whenever a future need arises, this will definitely be my go to shop going forward.
Dpc Grizz: Best shoe shine and conditioning in the St. Louis areaFriendly staffGreat selection of high quality men’s shoes
the secret life of Andrew Caldwell: Best place and Saint Louis
Ji Klump: I brought in a pair of western boots to be resold. When I picked them up a week and a half later, they were excellently done and they fit and looked like a new pair of boots. It’s a wonderful, great place to go. The cobbler is very personable, and cares about his customers.
samara henry: It was expensive, but it was a great job
Chrystall Burnett: Best in town
Mark Williams: This guy performs top quality work and really knows what he’s doing. Not the cheapest but seems to be the best. If you have nice shoes, don’t take them anywhere else. He has resoled two pair of Goodyear welted shoes for me and stretched another pair. All look and feel great. It looks like the poor reviews on here come from people who are confusing this store with another store. I’d ignore those.
Diana Dickes: Cobblestone Shoe Repair takes shoe problems and provides shoe solutions. The work is professionally finished. It is my ‘Go-To” shoe repair shop.
Ian Czarnowski: Had my shoes polished and reconditioned. Quality service and results. My shoes came out looking better than when I bought them. Worth every penny, thank you Cobblestone!
Nikkolle Seldon: Had my shies for 2 months..Didn't answer voice-mails or anything!
Echu A. Liu: Fantastic work was done for my Drew shoes, which has been discontinued, and it is impossible to find similar ones. Thank you, JC.
Michael ...: Had six belts reduced in size due to lost weight. They look like they are from the manufacturer. Great work. So glad I can use them.
Anne Nabholz: Beware this place is a rip off. There are no prices on any of the products hanging on his wall, and you have to ask to get them. Unknowingly, I purchased these arch supports that are less than half that price I paid, everywhere else. Online or other retail is half of what I paid. When I tried to return them because I was surprised at my bill, he said they're not returnable. Beware, go somewhere else
Carolyn Baum: Totall reconstructed the straps and cleaned my designer handbag. Looks new. Expensive but extremely satisfied.
Carolyn Kay: 8855 Ladue Road:Whatever you do, do not Try to pick up your items before the assigned time. Any niceness that was shown when you dropped off your item for Repair will turn into disparaging, dirty nasty words simply because you asked if your item was ready before the assigned time. All he needed to say was “it’s not ready yet, come back after 3 PM.” So sad Mr. dirty mouth man.
Kristin McGee: Always does a great job! Makes everything look brand new!
Aniyah Cymone: Went in with a pair of designer heels that needed the tips replaced. Seeing that I’m a walk-in and need these shoes done ASAP for an upcoming event, I was afraid I wouldn’t be serviced in time. Sure enough, I left out with new shoe tips provided by the store (better quality of the replacements my shoes came with) at an inexpensive price! Even the heel was painted a bit to cover the blemishes I came in with – all under 5 mins! I am extremely satisfied and happy with my experience here. The owner was very nice and welcoming as well (or whomever I was serviced by)! I def will be a returning customer.Thank you!
Ashley Clark: Man was very polite and informative on the phone
Carol Corley: I took a designer purse to Cobblestone Quality Shoe Repair on Ladue Road, because part of the lining seam just inside the top of the purse had torn open. JC said he'd have to pinch the lining together and sew, because it would be prohibitively expensive and time-consuming to fix any other way and it wouldn't hold. I agreed to let him do this, expecting it would be done neatly and professionally. Photo on left shows what the purse looked like when I picked it up from JC (with no acknowledgement of, apology or discount for a botched job). No way I could use the purse with this mess visible every time I opened it. At home I removed his stitching, opened a seam in the lining at the bottom of the bag and sewed and reinforced a proper seam at the top. Then I closed the bottom seam. The whole process took about 30 minutes. Photo on right shows my bag now, and it has held perfectly for months. There is no excuse for taking $25 from someone and giving them such poor quality work.OH MY, just read your response. I did agree to have you pinch the seam. Would anyone say the way you stitched it is even vaguely acceptable? If it took me 30 min. to figure out how to do the repair correctly and do it, including taking out your stitches, you as a pro should have been able to do it in way less time. That you would try to place the blame on me for your lousy job says it all. Listen up, would-be customers!

Butler Hill Shoe Repair and Alterations: what do users think?
Tom Krapu: Probably exactly what you need. Locally owned. A year later back for a repair on some really nice dress shoes. His work was immaculate and perfect see photo. The stitching at the ball of my foot was completely undone, and he repaired it like new.
Stan Baker: Cannot fix the simplest shoe issues.
Jeff Lamkey: Did great job repairing my Harley Davidson leather jacket(zipper was broke). Saved me over a grand on a new one. I actually wanted to pay them more for how great it looked. It's brand new again. Thanks, guys!
banjaluka7: Very helpful
Luv Mutz: The shop owner does excellent work & is the absolute nicest person.
Matthew Polzin: On numerous occasions, Alex has come up with a very practical solution to fix the "unfixable". Broken zippers, broken luggage wheels, custom stitching on very heavy use hunting items just to name a few. I believe that they charge a very fair price for the custom work they do. I have had nothing but positive outcomes dealing with them.
Joseph Mason: Excellent work done quickly. Has resoled several pairs of my shoes and boots, and found a creative and effective way to repair a backpack. Highly recommended.
Linda Farrell: Brought my shoe in for repair. Strap was fixed in 10 minutes. Very reasonable and super knowledgeable!
Chris Johnson: There aren't enough great things to say about this incredible small business. First, the owner is just awesome & always friendly. I'm not sure I've ever walked into his store & not seen him with a smile. His attention to detail & level of service is second to none...he is simply the BEST. What's more impressive is affordability. His fee's are beyond reasonable & he is always willing to go above & beyond to do everything possible to complete any repair fast & by our need date. Today I was waiting in the parking lot with my son's hockey skate. He plays College Hockey, has morning classes & the Tongue Attachment tore & needed repair by 11am practice. When I saw him open the door (45 minutes before their scheduled opening time), I walked in & apologized for being early...he said no problem & 10 minutes later it's repaired & stronger than it was on day 1. Can't say enough great things about this business. Highly recommend!
David Wright: Over priced
Kimberly Carter: If you need anything sound up button up zippered up thanks broke that you cannot sell yourself this is an excellent place to go they are still very nice and most the time you get your products back within two weeks.I have been there at least three times in the last six months for separate repair a purse repair and Knit hat to be patched up.
Michael John Tafel: He did a great job polishing my boots, and prioritized them, getting them done quickly. Friendly and kind service.
Mary Ann Young Schulte: This business does good quality work.
midnitetoker 1973: Nice to see a lost art alive in this day and age! They do great work for fair prices.
Ms Me: I have a Louis Vuitton with a worn out weak section on the strap where it attaches to the bag. It was going to rip apart soon. They shortened it enough to remove the weak part and before sewing it back together they inserted a piece of leather for reinforcement. Brilliant!
Tina Knepper: He did a great job putting new heels on my favorite boots. He saved them from the trash!
Edina Niksic: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Value
Jason Ziegelmeyer: I had some boots that needed cleaned and buffed out and needed them rather quickly. They got did them as I waited and made them look brand new.I also had a battery changed out on a garage door opener, he came back and said he wasn't going to charge me because the other battery showed a good charge. They were very quick, friendly, and honest. I will absolutely be making this my go to place for now on!
Alison LaRose: Quick alterations and for a fair price!
J: Great service, friendly and affordable. We had him sew patches in leather but would 100% bring him more of our business.
Justin Jacobs: I got two suit cases fixed. One needed a new zipper the other needed sewing work. Was completed quickly and for a great price.

Shoe Repair & Alterations: what do users think?
Nikko Chirco: They were amazing!! Had some bowling shoes that needed fixing and they did a great job. Cost $15 and took a few days.
Cherie Bauman: Had several calls from the shoe repair shop lady who also does alterations . The woman there is not kind at all. She called me and was abrupt… “Come get your shoes”!!! I went in to get my shoes and they don’t take any cards. I understood they only take cash, no credit or debit. So I went and got cash to pay for the shoes. I did not know they take checks! I read a sign on the counter that read we take checks. I said “Oh you take checks”? She yelled at me telling me She take checks. She said to me “You know how to read English and you are twisting words to get what you want”! I wasn’t going to argue with her. I can’t believe how rude she was!! I won’t be going back!! Tried to explain that wasn’t the case and I wasn’t intentionally trying to twist things. Didn’t want to get into it with her. She went to the door and read the sign saying “Read the sign”!!! “You know how to read”! And she said “no debit or credit cards”!! Read the sign!! I just walked out! I really don’t need to be insulted by anyone and I won’t be doing business there again! Not worth the trouble!! She is horrible!! Too bad, I don’t need the aggravation! Should have told them to keep the shoes!! I don’t need them that bad!!
Gina Carignan: These people do a fantastic job. Had new soles and heels replaced on my favorite boots. Very affordable.
Aldin Sahbaz: Brought my mother’s heels to get repaired, came to pick it up and I referred to them as “I have a pickup for heals” and the lady there was attacking me saying “they’re shoes.” While on the phone, she proceeds to say “some people can’t read” to whoever she was on the phone with and points towards the “shoe repair” sign. I continuously say I did not say anything wrong and I do not feel that she needed to correct me. Extremely disrespectful. Feel bad for the guy that works with her, he was nice. Feel bad for ignorant people like her, can I not call heels heels?
JC Stinson: Fixed my shoes right up.
david hake: Very good shoe cobblerHighly recommend
postmanbart: I needed new insoles for a pair of fine shoes. He recommended I get insoles from Walgreens. He could have sold me a pair of custom insoles at a higher price.
Gloria Graul: The gentleman working replaced the slider on my coat. Charged me 15.00$ and it was ready the next day. I thought it needed a new zipper wich would have costed a lot more. I'm thankful he's honest!
Tyra Duren: Critical:ProfessionalismNot sure about the gentleman on the shoe side but Gina in alterations is FLAT OUT RUDE & IGNORANT! Never have I ever been so insulted in my life. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Mary Voss: Critical:Professionalism,QualityI have had riding boots and wraps fixed there. Both needed to be fixed AGAIN. Overpriced and Rude. When my daughter went there by herself because I was in the hospital, they were rude and charged her twice as much to get FIXED AGAIN. Never going back!
Tifphanie Xayarath: I take everything I need altered here! The alterations are spectacular and she gets them done fast. Very nice owners!
Lisa Green: Does good work for small shop
Katie N: I took a few pairs of dress pants here to be hemmed because the person that normally tailors my clothes was unavailable. The lady I dealt with at this shop was rude to say the least. Although the work she did was good, the prices were very high (about 3x that of the person I mentioned above). This is my first and last experience here
frank bodenschatz: Nice sys as nd reasonable prices great work.
Larry Schneider: Excellent tailoring and seamstress work. A lot of experience. Can handle most any type of alterations and work. I know they also took a dress completely apart and totally resized it!Also the Shoe service is in the same building. March equipment and experience to do most any shoe repairs.
Emily Coleman: Just got my Prom dress hemmed and takin in on the top, and a zipper replaced. Charged $150 thought the price was a little steep. Then Gina made my mom pick up a zipper because she “couldn’t find one”. Was told would the dress would be done in 2 weeks took almost 3 weeks to complete. Told us we were being difficult because we couldn’t pick the dress up the morning of my prom. Terrible service she was excessively rude to my sister because she didn’t get to see the dress on. 10/10 would not recommend.
Brandy Traiteur: Super rude and even yelled at me because I couldn't understand her accent. Doesn't know anything about boots, stating that my boots weren't even leather when in fact they're stamped "geniune leather" on the inside.
Whealen1: I have taken my shoes for half soles and heels. Mostly Cole Haan and J&M. Always look nice. Always ready when promised and great quality service. This guy is very good. I highly recommend.
Jeanne Holmes: I have been taking my heels to this place for years and he does fabulous work at a reasonable price, so I had my fiance take a pair of boots to him to get re-soled and they did not dissapoint, very good work and the accent is workable.

Busy Bee Alterations & Shoe: what do users think?
Kyle Savitt: Honestly, just terrible customer service, they had no track of my ticket and tried to double charge me. I went in initially for shoe repair and was told to pay $60 cash upfront. I went next door to the ATM, got cash out, returned, paid for it, and was told to come in next week when they told me it would be ready. When I returned, I produced my ticket and tried to pick up my shoes (they were on the counter) only to be told they belonged to somebody else. I gave them my ticket, which had my ACTUAL NAME on it, cross-referenced it with my MO-ID and was still told it wasn't mine, and that I had to pay the $60 all over again. Personally, I don't agree with this level of incompetence or with being double charged for the same service, and if you're the same, I'd advise staying away from the shoe repair person.
Wilfred McMullen: Too pricey
Jaylen Walker: Terrible service and the owner is very rude . Always closed super early as well before 5 pm which is the time they close. I’ll never go back there and no one else should 🗣
LISA SMOTHERSON: She provided professional and prompt service.
Angela K.: I pick up my WISH items here that way I know I will be getting them, she gets portions of the proceeds that help take her elderly mom out to the boat! ( It's so cute)My Referral code -- hgmyfnyEnjoy!
Luca: Horribly rude and unpleasant. Very unprofessional.
Robert Umidon: My wife's shoes not repaired properly. Im going to have to take them somewhere else
Jayden Almemari: Extremely rude and unprofessional! I was on a lunch break and went down to pick up my online order, I was in a hurry I’ve forgotten my mask and I’ve explained to the owner I was in a hurry and I’m triple vaccinated and the lady wouldn’t even scan my order or hand me my stuff even from BEHIND A CLOSED DOOR. She claimed people don’t respect the mask rules.Just bad and unprofessional business management. Glad they don’t have my business, never going back again.
Luke Guerrero: Bought a suit for my wedding at St Louis Suit Co Inc and was recommended to get it altered in Busy Bee (Just beside the store). The tailor did a very good job explaning how far she could alter my suit to give me the best fit. Got it after 3 days and it honestly looked like it was customized. 5 stars.
Junita Tate: Poor job on a simple heel lift repair on a boot. The lift came off the second day I wore the boots. The price was too much and the result was poor quality.
Larry Harris: Just got ripped off for $25.00. Took my wife's ankle boots to get replacement heel tips. I was told it would be $20.00. I'm like really? Okay...she needs them the next day. Oh..by the way that would be an extra $ 5.00 for the rush. I'm shaking my head. Dude you were sitting there doing nothing, watching TV no one else in the shop. It doesn't take much to pull the old tips and replace the new. You can get a box of 24 for $10.00. I won't be doing business with them never again.Thank's dishonest John.
Lamont Grady: Horrible service....the owner has a horrible attitude....talks to customers as if they are a bother....made me put a CASH deposit down on my suit with the promise of it being ready on a certain day and it wasn't and then talked to me as if "oh well"...I needed my suit for work....that was my second horrible encounter with her and I'll NEVER go back!!!!
Sandra Grace: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueMaria is a fantastic seamstress! Her personality and fantastic attitude make your experience an all around delight!!! 20 stars!
Lawton Blanchard: They do great work at a great price - ($20-40) for general shoe repairs - highly recommend. My go to for shoe repairs now.Note: Cash only, Black owned, about a week for turnaround.
Jes Caliao: Critical:ProfessionalismWHY DO YOU HAVE TO SHOUT ON THE PHONE?! TO SOMEONE WHOSE ACCEPTING CALSS FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS, PLEASE FIX THAT ATTITUDE!
T Jefferson: Maria the owner is so sweet, been in business for a very long time, quality work hope she stays around for a while, please help support this black owned business!
Isaac B: Took care of weddin party an I did very gd work in gd quick timing . Great prices an loved the casual conversation. Make u feel like family.👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
S. Paulsen: We went to St Louis Suit company to look at sport coats and suits, but I wanted one that I could wear for our anniversary. Although they do alterations in house, they were booked up for a couple weeks. They referred us a few doors down to Busy bee, which is now at 7921 Forsyth Blvd, St. Louis, MO. We went down and spoke to the owner and she assured us she could have a sportcoat done. We went back and got the sport coat and a suit and went back to her shop. She suggested leaving them both and she would get them done. We dropped them off Friday after noon and picked them up on Saturday. She did a great job. She is a wonderful person and is very pleasant to deal with. I can't speak to previous past reviews regarding their shoe repair.
Dominique Latoya: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueJust great
Creative: Quality work...I wont go anywhere else
Danelle Duffy: Excellent tailor work and shoe repair. I have used Busy Bee for many years. I would be a mess without them! If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!

Cobblestone Shoe Repair: what do users think?
Margaret Nellesen-Erhard: Took two pair of sad Birkenstock sandals to be repaired. They were not fixible and the man who helped me started to pull part of the sandal off the shoe. He told me that it did not need to be on the sandals.
Madison Rinder: Jeff was super helpful! i went in with a foot issue asking for one thing and he took the time to listen and look at my feet and sold me a much cheaper insert which was 1/3rd the price. i appreciate his honesty and helpfulness and highly recommend this business!
Jeff Lipson: Cobblestone shoe repair in Creve Coeur is the best I have ever been to. The guy (I think his name is Jeff) really knows his stuff. He restored a favorite pair of Allen Edmonds and Cole Haans to better than new. I'm not kidding. They looked better than when I bought them. I read a negative comment but decided to try it because it was near work. When I came in he was with someone else. He acknowledged me and went back to his customer. I was impressed with how he had answers to all her questions and how pleasant he was. When it was my turn, he made me feel like I was the most important customer of the day. Very professional and he explained all my options. This place is not cheap but after picking up my shoes, I know why. They looked NEW! He has everything under the sun as far as products to take care of your shoes and he even knows a lot about feet. I complained about my heel hurting and he fit me with an arch support that took away my pain. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disapointed.
Tim: DO NOT TAKE YOUR SHOES HERE!!!!!!!!!!!
Sandra Hewitt: I took my son's boots to Cobblestone Shoe Repair. They were in terrible shape. They were damaged in the flood. He told me that he couldn't get them looking new. But he did a excellent job. Thank you
the secret life of Andrew Caldwell: Please please don’t support this place!!!!
Pat Hommes: Great first experience! Dropped off my favorite boots off for new heels, and they were ready for pickup 48 hours later! Great quality, fair price, and super-speedy turnaround!
DEBORAH Perez: The owner is crazy, attacked me when confronted w horrible repair job. Had to call police
Ana Stringfellow: The man is a shoe magician! He gave a few pair of my shoes a new life.
Shelley Hagen: Extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Dyan Hecht: Inexperienced help. No inventory . No COVID restrictions.
Brenda Reed: Guy behind the counter was very "grumpy".Enough that I decided to go elsewhere with my business. Olive st location
Andy Kohn: Great service and quality
Jeremy Wagner: First, read through all the 1 star reviews. They are there for a reason, despite the owner replies *explaining* their behavior or poor quality fix. Had a sole fixed at Olive location. Worker was rude and unprofessional. Once repair was finished, told me to enjoy it while it lasts since it will unglue again. Didn't have much faith in their own workmanship. Sole was repaired misaligned/mismatched from top part of the boot. Will recommend to family, friends and coworkers to take their shoe repairs ANYWHERE but here. These were quality LEATHER boots. From this owners reply, I see excuses for their own workmanship. Do yourself a favor you won't regret. Go somewhere else.
Brad Mock: The moccasin top for my boat shoes had torn stitches. The owner repaired them, but did not do a good job of lining up the leather and it looks like a homemade fix.
Julie Diana: The quality for the price just was not it. Go somewhere else.
Dr.Troye Thigpen: My shoes looked new. Awesome job and great service.
Randy Biesman: Before I used this store for services, I checked out all the reviews. Some were what I considered extremely unfair. So I used Jeff's services and I am very happy to say that I am glad that I did. Jeff was very friendly to me and engaging. He went above and beyond. He had my job done the day before he promised it to me and sent me a text notification that the job was done. I was fine with the price and happy with the overall experience.Just so you know, there is a difference between a tow strap and a toe strap to a shoe repair shop even though both sound the same over the phone. Jeff will understand the reference.Great job Jeff and thanks again!
Debbie Koerner: Positive:QualityJeff is a true artisan! He brought my very old LV handbag back to life and it looks awesome! Thank you Jeff!
Luke Robinson: Did some amazing work on my shoes restoring them to their former glory. Was a quick turnaround and received a text when they were finished which was great! The owner is a great guy. Straight shooter who will be honest about what is possible and will give you a good price. Will definitely visit here again! Thanks so much sir!
s Zig: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWent there for the first time today and it was a great experience. It is a family business and the owner is friendly and professional. The location has safety measures in place to keep social distancing possible and masks are necessary. Their work is top quality and done in a reasonable amount of time.
