With plants getting really trendy lately, it's hard to find really cool stuff that isn't over priced, and this place has incredibly fair pricing. Variegated bear paws? $4.50. Euphorbia ghost? $6. Everything I've gotten from them has been incredibly healthy and most have shown active growth (winter/spring is a dormant period for some) and some even have flowered!The owners are incredible both with their knowledge and eagerness to be helpful as well as sweet. They have open events, or you can make an appointment online. The appointments seem to be because they don't have traditional hours as it's a mom 'n pop business, so they aren't always there, but will be for an appointment. Very cool local business!!

Kristen Wolfin: The live flowers were beautiful and they had a lot to select from HOWEVER they are in a very heavily cemetery populated area and it almost feels like they take advantage of that situation. I stopped to get a few things for my father and uncles stone there and was SHOCKED by the price of their artificial arrangement. For a SMALL bouquet you can get at Walmart for 5-10 your paying almost 20 bucks . If you want the stand , it's 25 total . There is a dollar tree down the street you can buy artificial arrangements, windmills , flags , hummingbird feeders , etc. For 1.25 each, Which worked perfectly for me since the cemetery does arranged clean ups and everything eventually gets thrown away.

Lee Gomes: I moved to the area recently and had to leave all my plants behind. I happened to drive by Fendler's and everything was so pretty and colorful, I pulled right in. I was immediately greeted in the parking lot by a gentleman asking if I desired any help...which I did! I explained that I have a notorious black thumb and I was expertly guided to easy care/hard to kill plants. One of the things I purchased was a plant box that I wasn't sure would fit in my planter. I was assured that return or exchange would be no problem which turned out to be absolutely true because box was too large and I returned a few days later to return it and found the nursery looking almost completely different in a new riot of color and an impressive selection of herbs. So instead of a return, I exchanged the plant box for a beautiful (hard to kill) hanging flower basket. Another thing I found special about Fendler's was an impressive selection of succulent plants as well as large selection of unique decorative planters. Everyone at Fendler's was extremely friendly and helpful and it's really a pleasant experience to shop there.Update 4/14/23 Not much has changed at Fendler's! I stopped in today and it was again a spring riot of color! They were quite busy at 3:30 in the afternoon, yet I was greeted and helped immediately. I had stopped in a couple of weeks ago looking for a particular plant, and there weren't any available but when I stopped in today they had exactly what I was looking for! It's not a huge nursery but somehow they have a huge selection. It is always a pleasure to shop at Fendler's!

One of their designer’s named Nancy came to my house and spent an hour with me looking all over my garden beds. She was so nice and had a flood of good ideas! She took copious notes, pictures and measurements. She asked me my favorite colors and plants. She wanted my input! I got a full email detailing all my plants, how many plants to buy, designs and ideas. It was brilliant. And I feel like it was a STEAL at $100… most places I checked start at $250.

I made a bow to put into a plant only to discover I had misplaced my scissors.One of the workers from Walter Knolls saw that I was searching for something & asked if he could help. I asked him if he had scissors I could use briefly. He says “ here, let me help you with that”. He took my bow and plant inside to his designer, Maury, who did an excellent job at clipping the streamers on the bow and placing it in the plant. Maury also added a touch of greens that gave the plant a great look. Maury, you are the best. Thank You Walter Knolls for going beyond to help save my day. H G: Horribly rude. I ordered flowers for an employee who had a baby, and was quickly inundated with endless emails and paper junk mail. I never signed up for any promotional materials and was very put off with their aggressive marketing. When I called to ask to be taken off the lists they put me on, I was spoken to very gruffly. I made the call from my open office, with others listening, and was pleasant and polite. The customer service man on the other end of the phone was immediately defensive and personally offended and kept asking me for my account - which was confusing because I did not have an account. He never asked me for my name or email, maybe that is what he wanted. I became very flustered with his condescending tone and short retorts and calmly said that he had been rude and that I'd call back later to talk to someone else, but he hung up the phone after I said "rude". It was a horrible experience. I very much hope they did not also inappropriately bombard the flower recipient with unwanted junk mail also, how embarrassing that would be for me, who just wanted to congratulate them. I was able to send an email requesting a stop to their marketing materials and received no reply but the junk mail has ceased, thankfully. I've had 10 more staff welcome new babies since then and you better believe I did not order from WKF! I've told the whole admin team of our 200+ employee office to never use them.

Mick McGilligan: Horribly rude experience with the young blonde cashier there. FIrst off, we were looking around the grounds for a long time. Not one employee asked if they could assist us. Brought an expensive plant to the cashier, said hello to her, and didn't get a response. Then she snarled at me asking for my phone number and last name. When the sale was rung up, she put the credit card on the counter (wouldn't hand it to me), and didn't bother to say 'thank you' or anything. Just walked away. The WORST customer service experience I have had this year. I won't return again.

I've bought large and small trees and used their installers (for the really big stuff) and have done it myself -- It's always turned out great. Sandie Hea: I've been shopping here for decades and have also hired Sherwood's Forest to help me fill in spaces in the landscape and add interest. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of their Landscape Designer, Bill. He oversold me on everything he could get away with. I have 7 Green Giants in a space that should have only 4. Those things grow quickly and provide a natural privacy fence. But now they are behemoth evergreens that are fighting for space, air and sunlight. Same with the Brackens Magnolia. He planted 2 side-by-side next to an existing Brackens but with very little space between them. There wasn't room for 2 more when one would have done nicely. All 3 are now fighting for sunshine and space to stretch out. Magnolias get enormous and eventually one will have to be sacrificed to make room for the other 2. There are examples like this throughout my landscaping of needless overspending/overplanting. Nursery landscape designers get paid to sell material. Next time I'll hire an independent landscape designer. I should have done my own homework and could have saved thousands in needless plant material and labor.
