Linda Stewart: Do not hire Victor Shade Company (10100 Page Ave., St. Louis, MO 63132) to purchase window treatments or for repairs. They have the poorest customer service I have ever encountered. Six weeks ago, I hired them to fix a broken shade (bottom up/top down). I have called them on 3 separate dates to find out the status. The first time, I was told they were looking for a part. The second time (last week) the serviceman told me the part couldn't be found and he would try a different solution. He said he'd have it fixed by this week. It's Friday (5/17/19), and I have not heard from Victor Shade. So, this morning I called for the third time to get the status. I talked to the manager and he told me it couldn't be fixed. Okay. I get it. The shade can't be fixed. THEY NEVER ONCE CALLED ME TO TELL ME ANY OF THIS. I HAD TO CALL THEM. If I hadn't called them, I wonder if I would have ever heard from them. THIS IS NOT OKAY. I'm not complaining that the shade can't be fixed. I AM complaining because no one ever called me to inform me of this problem. I had to call them. The person I talked to today who is in charge was rude and condescending. He flippantly said "I'm sorry." Well, "I'm sorry" doesn't work. Be honest. Tell the truth. Get back to your customer. That's all I ask. So, now, I've waited 6 weeks to get this problem solved and I'm at square one. If they would have come forth upfront and told me the truth, I could have ordered a new one and had it hung by now. You've lost my business Victor Shade. I've been a customer for 40 years but NO MORE!

Corey Swinney: I called this place and made an appointment. I was told someone would come out at 11 am last Saturday from a Chesterfield Appt. Was told the woman’s name would be Jennifer. I was completely stood up. At twelve I called the company to find they were closed on Saturdays. I left a message explaining my rep didn’t show and I never even received a call back from the company. Two Guitars: The installation team was 30 minutes early for the appointment, which is great, since they called to make sure I was home. Don and Justin were both quite friendly, and the installation of our new motorized blinds did not take long. They took the time to carefully demonstrate the details of operating the remote for the motorized blinds. The blinds look great and the installation is perfect. If I need any more window treatments, I will be coming back to this company.And by the way, the installation team guys were the owner and the warehouse manager, which indicates to me that ownership and management have a good hands-on approach to running the company and creating customer satisfaction.

I had mentioned it didn't close properly before I went to work, and when I checked out the shutters later, he mentioned he had realigned the plate in the frame so the door closed properly. Jacque Knight: UPDATE - Read the initial saga below.We are so unhappy with this company that we are going to get treatments that do match our upstairs for our downstairs because we honestly cannot imagine dealing with them again.Our blinds and shutters were installed. The wrong items were ordered in the incorrect color. Had to get the re-installed. Second time they came something was STILL wrong! Finally got it all corrected. Thought for sure they would offer a discount on our pricing because of all the trouble, but of course they are not. One year later and I am still dealing with this awful company. I will never take my business there again and I strongly urge anyone that is considering blinds, shutters or window treatments to look for another option.Tried to put off writing this review but the shop has been extremely non-responsive. They were great in the beginning (trying to make a sale) & promised a 3 week turnaround to install from the time we paid deposit. One of the reasons I went with them. Well we paid deposit and now we are on 8 weeks with no appointment even scheduled to install!! Even after our product arrived last week. Delays keep getting blamed on COVID, which I would get if I was told about the actual timeline up front when we ordered in August (well into the pandemic). It’s really unfortunate but they totally changed once they had the sale. Also, now we will have to order from them for the treatments downstairs so they match & I’m not looking forward to why a nightmare that process will be.

Jim P.: Show me was recommended to me by a friend. I called and setup an in home visit with Marcia. My wife and I explained what we were looking for and with Marcia's assistance now have beautiful new 2 inch mini blinds in our living and dining room. The experience was great and the blinds (on our new windows) look great! We have a limited lifetime warranty which Home Depot or Lowes does not give and the price was actually right there with both of the "box" stores mentioned. Great job!

I narrowed it down to one, he left, then called a few minutes later to tell me the one I'd selected had been discontinued. He said he'd go to the office and bring me additional books back for me to choose from. A week went by and I never heard from him. I called and left a message. He called back once and left a message saying the books were on back order, so I waited another two weeks before I called him again (it's been three weeks at this point when he'd said it was also going to take two additional weeks AFTER we finally get them ordered). When I called it went to voicemail, I left a message asking if the books had come in. He never called me back. I called two additional times in the next week or so, both times it said that his voicemail was full, so I couldn't leave an additional message. I never did hear from him again, it's now been over two months. I ultimately went with another company. I have absolutely no idea what happened to him, maybe he was in a car accident or something?

Yossi Negrin: We installed blinds with this company 4 years ago. As we are replacing now the windows, we called them to schedule removal and re-installation of the blinds. They quoted a price and we agreed. This morning they have arrived to do the job. The main guy was one of the rudest service providers I have ever dealt with (he was rude from the moment he stepped in) . He was super aggressive and anounced that they are not going to perform the job they agreed to do as it is "too much work". They left me hanging there helpless and stuck with no solution. VERY BAD experience. Be aware before you order any service or product from them!

The other company told us to install an additional window box in order to have shutter install, which would have cost triple. We were glad we went to Dan Dee for a better solution and price. They are a good local company that we will support.
