Eugenia Howe: Do not do business with them! On February 13th we purchased a washing machine from them that they said has ding but was fully functional other than that. Well the ding was exactly where the door latches and, since it would not latch, the machine was not functional at all. We called them about this and they pretty much told us this was now our problem because they are a ding and scratch store. A ding and scratch is completely different from fully not functional. Since they refused to make it right, I called my bank and started a claim for bad goods. My husband submitted a review and received call from someone who was worried the review would make them look bad and who agreed to fix the situation. They ended up exchanging the washing machine after seeing our review and I called my bank the next day and told them to stop the claim. My bank stopped the claim and the provisional amount they had given us was taken back, as it should be. All this was resolved by 02/28/2023. Now I saw there was another transaction from them for the same amount taken out yesterday 04/26/2023. I called my bank thinking maybe it had something to do with the claim and that is was a simple mistake where they took it back twice but they confirmed this was not the case and the merchant had gone behind our backs and processed the transaction a second time. That is theft. We have not gone back and have not purchased another machine. They took the first one back so they can't claim we bought two. They are dishonest and thieves.
Marchelle Reed: I bought a microwave there. It was too big so I brought it back. I paid cash for it. But when I returned it. They wanted to charge me A 8% restocking fee on a microwave that was dented and then they say that they don't have any cash in the store. So they had to put it On my debit card and it's been over 3 days and I still haven't got my money released on my card.

There was a wait for some of the appliances, but David kept me informed and was both accommodating and flexible with coordinating delivery and installation. We ran into a few typical problems because I was doing renovations. Throughout it all, David was fantastic. My appliances are now all in and I am thrilled. This was my first time shopping with Appliance Discounters and I am now a loyal fan.
Greg Schwarz: I purchased an LG refrigerator at Appliance Discounters in Maplewood in late September. Four weeks later the same refrigerator was on sale at Costco for $1000 less then I paid. I returned to the store to ask our sales person if there was anything they could do to help us considering the huge price difference, in just four weeks. I was met with a very quick no and as I continued to ask if there was simply anything they could do, I was continuously told no. No attempt or even consideration to help us at all!

golfmen100: July 2022. Had a delivery with a 53" trailer. Was scared when I saw where is the delivery on the map, but at the end wasn't so bad. The road I used is I-55 south, then took the exit for Lowe's, took a right turn and drove the street next to Lowe's till I got to Koeln Ave. Bridge is ok. No signs of no trucks. When arrived, I used the parking lot to back in to the dock they have next to the building. Got unloaded in 2 hours. Got out same way!

Michelle McNicholas: Worst Customer Experience Ever!Ordered a GE dishwasher online back on December 12. After the order David called and said it would be in the store available December 22. December 22 came and no call from the store. I called and Karen said she wasnt expecting a delivery that day and would call me back. She never did. Called and was transferred to David. He was rude and said I told you when you ordered the dishwasher that the 22nd was an estimated day. The new date was now Jan 19. He said manufacturers always change dates and good luck finding it somewhere else sooner. Decided to go ahead and wait the extra time. Called Jan 19th and Karen said they dont have the dishwasher and dont know when it will be in. She said she would have David call. David never called. So called David. He was extremely rude said he never gave us exact dates and we can find another option. Said didnt want another option would go ahead an accept a refund. He said ok and hung up.

I tipped him $50 & spent $600 on appliances. The washer leaks and a few of the settings don’t work. I get no response. But the phone is on him every time I see him. Should my concerns be addressed and the warranty stood behind- I’ll change my rating. Until then I have hundreds of dollars in fire proof work clothes that are ruined and I’m getting no response.

JL Marc: The service was very good, but the product is not. We tried to patronize a local vendor, but are not happy with the quality of the Frigidaire Appliance we bought. We have had service men out twice to fix a drain line which led to the inside of the refrigerator to fill with water due to discharge line clogged with foam plastic. This is a known production quality issue we have come to learn. Now the handle simply snapped off. It looks like at the factory, they tightened the screws down too tightly and this lead to a weak spot in the plastic handle. We have to pay $57 for a new handle on top of the $68 warranty that does not cover the handle..... UGH never Frigidaire again.

Rachel Young: I ONLY give four stars because of an incident with them, from when we bought our refrigerator and gas stove from them last year. First, our delivery was not completed on the day it should've been due to a miscommunication at the warehouse, so we were about two days without a fridge or stove, in our new home. When we did get oustive, the wrong one was delivered. It wasn't until I showed them photos I had taken, of the correct stove, that they agreed to replace it. It was incredibly hard to reach someone and took multiple days and calls to get it resolved, but only because I was assertive and persistent.I'm going to close this review with the great experiences I've had here. We just purchased our second washer/dryer set from them and is due for delivery on Tuesday. The first set we bought was purchased about 7 years ago (which they delivered, installed and hauled off our old ones)and just recently, the washer stopped spinning. Dryer still works perfectly, but we just decided to just purchase a whole new set. This will be our third time doing business with them and we will continue to do so. The employees are super nice and attentive and they even let us buy some stands that actually belonged to another washer/dryer set bc I have mobility issues and cannot bend down to load and unload a front loading washer/dryer. They arent great about answering the phones bc they are SO BUSY and there isnt a lot of staff in the warehouse, so you just have to be patient , or take the initiative to find someone to help you. This is a wholesale/scratch and dent warehouse, not freaking Sears or Maytag or even Best Buy. You're saving hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars on new appliances. They arent hurting for business, so kissing customers behinds arent really necessary and if you're wanting to be waited on hand and foot for your imperfect appliances, this isn't the place for you.We will be back. Thank you! We could never afford these appliances at the typical appliance store.

He’s always dry and have a nasty attitude when he answers the phone. I have been without a fridge for 2 weeks because they don’t answer the phone or return phone calls. I have left several messages and still nothing. Why do you have to call us back when YOU are ready to schedule. This is bad customer service and lack of customer support. Carl Nelson: I was told to go look at a few refrigerators then she would come assist me found two nice french door high-end refrigerators I was interested in and they didn't have a price on them I was trying to get price to purchase either one but I never get any help I walked around for like 30 -45 minutes and nobody ever asked do I need help the same woman that told me she would help me I seen her helping others and she never came back to me as I was leaving the office she was sitting back down in the office,I guess my money isn't good there! Off to the next spot to find a nice refrigerator

Keith Moore: Appliance wholesale center, located at 2253 administration drive, has made our attempt to purchase a replacement refrigerator that actually works very challenging. On 07/13/2022, I purchased a used refrigerator that I was told was operating very well and it was delivered on 07/14/2022. After 7 days the refrigerator stopped cooling. I contacted the store and made them aware of the situation situation, and they agreed to swap the refrigerator out for a working replacement refrigerator. Fast forward to Saturday 07/23/2022, and the replacement was delivered at approximately 1700 hours. The 3 man crew delivered the appliance and removed the out of service one. They dropped it off, and hooked up the necessary water lines and left. No one stayed to ensure that the replacement refrigerator was working properly. After attempting to allow the replacement to cool down, we discovered that this refrigerator was not working at all. We were hoping that someone would do a function test on their equipment prior to selling and delivering the appliances. Ultimately, it is now July 25th, and we are exactly in the same spot that we were in on 07/13, no working refrigerator. The only difference is that we are 1100 dollars lighter in our wallets. We contacted the store on 07/25/2022 requesting a refund, and we were told that we had to contact the General Manager for our refund. This method seemed odd, considering the GM did not take part in the sale of the broken appliance. In an ideal situation I would like for someone from the management team contact us to help in our attempt to purchase a product that actually works. Well after two days of waiting for delivery’s and trying to salvage the food that we could, we are in a very uncomfortable and unfair predicament.
Jasmine Boyer: Absolute horrible experience. We attempted to walk in the front door, per their signs and every other visit we’ve made there. Carrying a newborn, we were turned away and told to go through the back. Once in the establishment, Sales manager was extremely rude and degrading. Will NEVER spend a single penny here. Horrible people and business practice!

Authorized Appliance: what do users think?
J. Matt Martin: For a company that sells high end appliances, I would have expected better service. Although they eventually accepted the return of a $5k rangetop, they called me a liar and acted like they were doing me a favor when they delivered me a visibly damaged box and hid the damage so that I wouldn’t see it. When I went to meet Bob, the director of customer service, and show him the damage, he refused to shake my hand. Not a huge deal, but you know, I feel like a $35k purchase deserves a bit more class. BTW, this refund doesn’t help as much as it sounds since it will take over 2 months to get a new range from a different vendor. Then during my fridge install, they scratched my floor. Again, Bob, the director of customer service decided that he would pay the floor installer directly because he believes I am a liar. When I worked in retail, if we damaged someone’s property, we would pay them directly. There are too many high end appliance vendors in the area to settle for these guys.
Jeff Hebrank: Authorized sent me 4 Jen Air appliances totaling over $15k and 2 did not work, Never turned on. Refusing to take back and replace. Their response to not replacing them is “these are too expensive to treat like a Walmart toaster”. Apparently new owners. Stay away from them…far away

Thomas M: Disappointing experience. We ordered a Sub Zero refrigerator in early September 2021 and were told it would be available late March early April 2022. No one from Authorized Appliance has ever contacted us—we have to initiate contact to find out that delivery is delayed and just learned the refrigerator delivery is now pushed back until mid-September so it will be over one year before we get it if then. Would have thought Authorized Appliance would have reached out to us especially since they took a large deposit. Paid a little more for the refrigerator than from another vendor, thinking they were a better dealer so Sub Zero would want to fill their orders more rapidly but guess that is not the case.
Kelsey Lohmeyer: I was initially impressed by the services and value provided by purchasing appliances through Authorized Appliances instead of a big box store but I can no longer recommend them after the last 6 months of dealing with them. Full story below but to summarize, don’t expect any communication, especially about delivery delays, even when specifically asked and expect to be lied to to generate an additional sale.I purchased a gas cooktop and wall oven in October with plenty of time for expected delays for our spring kitchen renovation. We ordered on our first visit to the show room because the cooktop had a long lead time but the oven showed to be in stock with only a couple of weeks delivery estimate. We confirmed with our sales contact (Cindy) that items that became available would go to the local warehouse, we would be notified they were received and then we could schedule for delivery on our schedule (even if it was a couple months out) and our warranty timeframe would start upon delivery and installation to our home, not the warehouse. So far, so good. We were only worried about our appliances arriving too early at that point but had the right answers to our concerns to make the purchase.Fast forward 4 months, I hadn’t heard any updates from Cindy but I reached out to confirm we were still on track, she responded positively that we were but she needed to confirm the wall oven delivery date and she would get back to me that day. In the same email, she pushed a sales event on me and started pushing vent hoods to purchase. She never got back about the wall oven delivery but (naively), I thought no news was good news since she knew the timeline we were operating under and for all I knew, it was sitting in the warehouse waiting for us. Then, 5 months after order, we get a call that our cooktop is in and their warehouse is “filled to the brim” so they can’t hold it for us, force us to accept delivery right away and leave us to coordinate (paid for) installation down the line. The same happens for delivery of the subsequently purchased vent hood. At this point, we’re mildly frustrated but fine.Now, 6 months after ordering, I send an email to Cindy asking for an update on the wall oven. After not hearing a response, I call her number and it’s disconnected, she no longer works at authorized appliance. I call the main number and Mary Beth tells me that those wall ovens are impossible to get, she has no idea why I was ever told they were in stock and we would be lucky to see a late July delivery. We can get our money back but we just wasted 6 months and now will have a finished kitchen without a major appliance. Nothing but a verbal apology and some supply chain excuses to show for it. If ANY of this was communicated I would be more understanding but the whole process has proven to be unsuccessful, buyer beware

We have been leaving messages at the general number, so I don't know if the call back was a response to my VMs or this review. She explained that they have been inundated with calls and are way behind. Adjusted my rating to three stars. I should mention, we have purchased from AA before and were very satisfied.
Marble Marble: I had been looking for a dual fuel range for a year and finally found exactly what I wanted! I loved the show room from the moment I stepped through the door. Friendly staff and an amazing selection. I am very happy with my purchase and will recommend the store to everyone I know!
Glenn Herr: I have nothing but the highest praise for Authorized Appliance. But, let me tell of my experience so that you understand this is no causal endorsement.We have an older kitchen... remodeling and appliances back in the 80's. After repeated repairs, we finally decided we had to replace 3 of our appliances. The problem, we faced is that we did not want to remodel and create new spaces for these appliances. They had to fit in the spaces that the older appliances occupied. We tried looking on line, all of the box stores, and came away realizing we could not do this on our own.We then were given the name of Authorized Appliance. And, from that, we started an email dialogue with Tyler, Account Manger, where he helped us work through the particular makes and models, that would work for us. We never visit their site, never meet Tyler, and never saw the physical appliances we purchased. (With all of this Covid-19 situation upon us, we did not want to run around visiting places).And, then,. yesterday, Mike and Adam, came, delivered and installed the the Double Oven. And, they were amazing. They fitted the new oven in the spot where the old one was located. We were fearful that it would have to be jury-rigged to make it fit. But, they got it fitted perfectly. And, they, cleaned everything. When, it was all over, you would have thought the original remodeling would have been designed for that particular oven.Again, I can not say enough to express how pleased with Authorized Appliance.
