MLynn Staples: Acupuncture St. Louis had some really great acupuncturists, but they don't have availability, & two years ago I quit going because they canceled my appointment because I didn't call back to verify I was for sure going to come in at the time I'd scheduled two weeks earlier. I have been seeing one of the people there for several years. Today they canceled my appointment because they knew in advance that the acupuncturist is going to be sick tomorrow. I've been waiting for 3 weeks for an injury I have. I will have to find some other place, even if it's in another state., because they just can't seem to be responsive. They asked for a callback they put you on hold they can't hear you when you do call, they always have strange admin issues.

Meghan Delaney: Went for 12 weeks (2x week) hoping they would get better at scheduling and it’s an hour wait every single time just to begin treatment. It’s simple math you don’t schedule more appointments than you have beds yet they do every day which then causes your treatment time to be cut short because they haven’t planned appropriately. They tell you to tell them if you have to leave at a certain time and even then it doesn’t matter because they’re so overbooked. While I think Dr. Ginger and Anna are good at what they do- they need to fix scheduling and time management. I won’t be visiting again.
Marta Carpenter: She is treating my son for carpal tunnel and he is having remarkable improvements which doesn't surprise me as she treated me 10 years ago for smoking cessation.

Andy Perez-Caba: I visited Dr. Waltemate today and he was spectacular. He truly cares about getting his patients results and is a a great guy. He is really easy to talk to and very passionate about what he does! He addressed all the questions and concerns and is clearly an expert! Fig Beebo: After years of dealing with chronic neck/back pain, severe tension, & ocular migraines, I was willing to try anything. Muscle relaxers, NSAIDs, chiropractics, deep tissue massage, TENS units- all were brief, temporary fixes. I was convinced to try acupuncture by my aunt who was dealing with pain from radiation treating stage 4 cancer & she had nothing but glowing things to say about it.Finding affordable acupuncture is nearly impossible in St. Louis, even if your insurance helps cover it. Then i found this place. Debbie & Lisa at the front desk are just the sweetest people imaginable. And Toby? This man very literally cured my condition. I still do need to come for maintenance sessions- after all, daily stress doesn't really go anywhere- but I am no longer carrying my daily stress with me like a backpack full of pain. I have regained all lost flexibility in my neck & shoulders.Acupuncture has eliminated my need for frequent meds & all other procedures I was utilizing for my issues. Don't be like me and make it the very last thing you try- it really DOES work! (And this might just be the best little place to try it out.)

Dave Norman: A friend recommended them. This is a fantastic clinic run by Dr. Michael and Tracy. I've been in for a few chronic things, and two acute things, and got meaningful relief from both (joint pain, illness) each time. My options included acupuncture, herbalism, not-painful hands-on techniques, or whatever combination I was comfortable with (which for me was all of it). That freedom, and the options, was pretty sweet. I wasn't expecting a white guy to be doing authentic Chinese medicine--does that sound racist? They are amazing caretakers and make you feel welcome, heard and calm visit after visit.I first started visiting the alchemy clinic when I was trying to conceive and looking for different forms of treatments – within two months I was pregnant! From the initial call and now 6 months into my pregnancy—the alchemy team makes sure I have been taken care of every step of the way. Montserrat goes above and beyond her treatments and supplements and becomes someone you can talk to and go to for advice, while knowing she has your best interest at hand. The "Western" medicine alone helped, but I still felt fatigued, and my body would still "tie itself in knots" (muscle soreness/cramps, stomach cramps, sick farts and loose stool...) For me, acupunture was that missing piece. I couldn't recommend Dr. Zhang more!

Katheryn Fahrney: Went for a consultation and first session. Everyone in the office is professional and attentive. Dr.Zhang did a complete exam where she asked many questions to pin point what could be going on with me. The session was so relaxing. Immediately after the treatment I felt euphoric. The following day I felt typical detox symptoms which means it was doing what it is supposed to. Even after first treatment I felt better. I was only able to go to one out of four prescribed treatments due to having to go out of town but I can not wait to continue with my treatments.

I have been able to postpone the quarterly cortisone shot I've been taking for four years. Her credentials are impressive. Her bedside manner is professional but personal. The office is bright and her staff is upbeat and helpful. I just wish the treatments were covered by my Medicare!
