There was so much potential ruined by thinking the same rules don't apply to you 🙃 They struggle to find employees because the one place where they can supplement income without reaching into the account they pocket it instead. Their pay doesn't even compete with fast food despite expecting a higher standard of service

Rachana Baghel: We ordered a mix grill and lamb chops. The grilled items were too dry and the lamb chops were completely burnt on the edges. They were not edible at all. The salad did taste fresh as well. After raising this concern, the server did nothing and just left. We ordered a lentil soup to push the dry rice and some of grilled items in as we were so hungry. Food doesnt look like anything in the pictures. We were fooled. We paid them plus a tip and left. Hope they learn to treat customers better.Surely we will never go back to this place and will never recommend anybody!

All the dishes that I've tried have been spectacular. I had this tomato and okra soup with rice once, it was tasted pretty strange to me at first, but it was still great. I recommend anyone who wants to expand their taste horizons to give it a try. The inside is charming and very comfortable. The staff are always wonderful too. Thank you everyone at Majeed for creating such a great restaurant.Vegetarian options: The tomato soup that I had was spectacular, and the hummus and baba ganoush could be a meal on its own. I could eat it with a spoon and be perfectly happy, it's so good.Parking: The parking is on Gravois, it's nothing special, just a lot. There's always plenty of space. Probably about 15 spots.Wheelchair accessibility: You don't need to walk up any stairs to get to the door, so I think it should be wheelchair accessible. I don't use a wheelchair, though, so I'm not really sure.Dietary restrictions: Everything here is halal, so Muslims can eat it.

Karebear: If I could give no stars I would. First time customer here and I love middle eastern cuisine so I wanted to give this place a try. I placed an order for the Fatoush Salad with Chicken, Cheese Fatayer and Shish Tawuk Sandwich. First off I would like to say that the atmosphere was nice and it was a pretty large space. Great for large groups and there was outside sitting. I ordered carry out and still had to wait 45mins for my food to be done upon arrival. Upon receiving my food and finally getting home to eat, I can officially say that I will not be returning. The food was inedible and was not fresh. Totally wasn’t even worth the wait! The Fatoush Salad had soggy pita bread and the added chicken smelled old. The 4pc. Cheese Fatayer seemed to be a pastry right out of the freezer, the outside pale and not crispy or brown. Finally the Shish Tawuk Sandwich….broke it open to see what I was dealing with and it had barely any garlic paste, three small pieces of chicken, peppers which shouldn’t of been on there, lots of cilantro, and the pickle was soggy not crisp. Threw my food into the trash. Do not recommend this place. Not wasting another dime at this establishment. Will travel elsewhere.

Lord Rev. Shaun Boswell: Well. Came in was told to sit where we liked. Was brought menus. There was only two other people there. Interior was fairly basic. Wood walls blue false skylights, and some cowboy movie playing on TV. Music was appropriate. Two water bottles were brought to our table, these you will be charged 1$ for, so do not assume they are free. The Syrian chicken and potatoes was good. Mixed plate meats were very dry, the yogurt helped but not much. The kibbeh came with a small salad mix and were extremely hot, and came after the entrees were brought to us. Food meh, service meh. Overall meh.

Irish Racion: We went there on a Saturday noon. It wasn't busy. We ordered hummus with pita,kebab, shawarma meals. Food was delicious. The main entree was good for 2 meals for me (if you're not really hungry). Nice ambiance. The server slash cook was a bit shy but he was nice to us. It's definitely a good try. I personally recommend this place for mediterranean dishes.

Lita Lopez: I just tried to go have a hookah. It's friday night and I arrived at 9:10pm. I checked google before I left to see how much time I would have. Google says they close at 10. Perfect I thought. When I arrived, the man at the front told me that he couldn't make me a hookah because they close at 9:30. I told him that google stated they closed at 10. He said that the kitchen and hookah closed at 9:30 and that he could not make me one. I assumed it was 9:30 the way he was so adamant about not serving me. I stepped back outside and looked at my phone an it was only 9:10! Basically, it seems as though they close whenever they feel like it and serve whoever they feel like it. Don't get your hopes up and come here looking to be served during advertised business hours.

Cody Cummings: My wife comes from a Lebanese family so we were excited to try Taste of Lebanon. We grabbed some kibbeh, stuffed grape leaves and falafel to split. The food was priced really well, and we got our food pretty fast. We make a lot of the dishes at home, so I know what goes into making a lot of these dishes, and it’s a labor of love. It’s easy to walk to and parking is usually pretty available along the street.

Side of tabouleh was bad and tasteless, probably more than few days old. Side of spicy potatoes was good but not enough to save the dish.Experience: There were no adults working in the dining room. Two children who looked about age 10 were taking orders and serving food (hot food served in rather thin paper plates) I felt a bit uncomfortable with it. Not that I am against teaching kids value of work but they seemed too young to work at a restaurant.

MG: I had a bad experience at my first visit but still gave it a second try and now I love going to this restaurant. Service has been improved compared to last year, ambience is great and washrooms are clean and well maintained . Kendra Marsh: I really love the vegetarian dolma here. It’s handmade and absolutely delicious, I could eat it everyday (most restaurants in the area and country serve canned). Meals are served with lentil soup to start. Highly recommend the mint lemonade. For appetizer I usually choose the hummus and fattoush. I really love the variety of fresh veggies in the fattoush.It’s incredibly busy on the weekend and sometimes completely full at nights. This is family owned and operated, one of my favorite restaurants for sure!

Nicholas Rachowicz: I came here during a street festival. I was pretty put off by the service. They were not that crowded at the time but we were hardly attended to and it was dark and they were playing a bad rap music channel. I’ll give it another try when they reopen since I live so close.
Lord Rev. Shaun Boswell: Love the food here, and a coffee to set the evening right. Unfortunately they are closed due to a fire from one of the businesses next door. When they reopen, I will be there.

Sarah Toma: The female server we had was very rude and neglectful of our presence. The food was dry making it over priced cause it wasn't worth the cost for the lack of quality. Plus it was hotter inside then it was outside, no air circulation. My husband and I were drenched in sweat just waiting for the server to come check on us so we can get our ticket and leave but she seemed more concerned with smoking outside. The food was good considering the draw seems to be a hookah spot that is perfectly nestled between wash u and slu. Paul Niesen: This little restaurant is a gem. Parking was tight, but the food and service more than made up for that inconvenience. I enjoyed the shrimp kebab -- wonderfully seasoned, served with rice and seasonal vegetables. Our party feasted on humus and flatbread as an appetizer. Our waiter recommended a wine that went well with our dishes. In all, an absolute treat. Ashley: Has this restaurant always automatically added 20% gratuity? We’ve come to this restaurant at least 10 times always on a Friday night and we’ve never looked at the itemized receipt. Tonight was different because I was curious on how much they charged for the chocolate martini and I saw the gratuity on there. We never cared to look at the itemized receipt because we always tip 20%. I am going to be livid if our server which is usually the blond guy with glasses has been receiving a 40% tip the other 10 times we’ve been there. In addition, the 20% tip is not posted anywhere in the restaurant or on the menu.

Friday night was no exception; Prescott took care of us, which was the second time we’ve had him as our server, and he did not disappoint. Super well-versed on the menu AND of Mediterranean cuisine and wine, he steered us in the right direction while also taking exceptional care of us.I ordered the Tavuk (chicken) stew. Served in cast iron, it reminded me of a delicious yet not-too-spicy chicken Tikka or Tandoori dish, the latter of which as Prescott described it. We got the Meze platter for the table, and everything on it was fresh and delicious, but OMG the hummus and fresh pita are as good as they come! My spouse had the Kofte platter, and that might be my favorite dish of all.All in all, consistently delicious with unique and fresh flavors, paired with outstanding service and beautiful interior decor, are what keep us coming back again and again.
Egemen Curuk: This place is an experience!I was introducing Turkish cuisine to my friend and this restaurant made me feel proud. We got lahmacun (it’s quite big like a pizza) very rich in flavor, shish lamb kebab (see picture) I mean it speaks for itself. The grilled vegetables were great as a side. We also ordered a skewer of Adana, it was an experimental version of the authentic Adana kebab and it was indeed very good. That was my friend’s favorite. Also, baklava was PERFECT. The chef of this restaurant is an expert in seafood, you’ll see the news stories in the entrance. Definitely try those options. Have it with some Rakı.Other than that, great ambiance, nice concept, great lounge type music, well trained and professional staff, welcoming host. The place has a very nice high-end vibe. We will definitely come back, with more people! Serefe!

robin gupta: Looked at the high ratings and got too excited to stop here on our way back home in IL. Let me just say that we noticed more than a couple of health violations being broken while we were there. Maybe it was just that day, but the place was being run by a few young guys who didn't want to be there and had no consideration for the customers. Giving it an extra star because the food was way too oily but decent, not the worst. So. If you must order from this place (for whatever reason), take out would be my recommendation.

I just have a hard time believing that the refrigerators work properly or that rotten produce is being discarded and kept away from fresh; etc.Add $0.25 to all of your dishes and take care of your establishment please.

Rekyks: So we have been coming here off and on for a couple of years. It is one of my favorite restaurants around. The food is so freaking good. The service is such a hit or miss thing. We went there, the day of me getting released from the hospital on a Tuesday at noon. It was busy as hell, and there was guy attending and he was swamped. So I do not hold the service against them, it just seems they may be understaffed.Otherwise it's order at the counter, and food is brought up front and you can then sit where you want to eat.It's a pretty no frill place. You get what you are ordered and it comes quickly! Will continue to hit this Gem in St. Louis
TraaaaGiiiiKz: Beyond terrible experience. Ordered a gluten free salmon entree with rice for take out. When I got around to eating my food, I noticed that the fish was raw. Called the restaurant & the employee that I spoke with said to come in for a replacement meal. Next day I go in to give it another try, because everybody makes honest mistakes, right? Wrong, at least in this case. When my food was handed to me, that same employee in a very sarcastic tone said "don't worry... I promise that it won't be raw this time". Again, I get home to eat my food, and it indeed was NOT raw. Not only was the fish completely burnt, but it had vermicelli noodles (not a gluten free ingredient) on it as well. As mentioned above, I truly find it hard to believe that this was an accident. Seems like something done out of spite, which could've ended very badly for the restaurant if I had consumed the gluten that I'm very allergic to. Gave the restaurant yet another call, spoke to the same employee, and it seemed as if he had anticipated the phone call. Acknowledged what I said and offered for me to come get a 3rd replacement meal. No thank you! It's not about replacing the meal, it's about taking certain situations more seriously. Don't bother wasting your time or money here, 0/10.

R Cusick: Now this is a restaurant. Tons of seating. Absolutely spotlessly clean. Great service. Clean bathrooms that went along with the Mediterranean theme. And best of all, absolutely stellar food!We'd had takeout from The Vine, but never eaten there. But we stopped in and I ordered the Lebanese Nachos and falafel. The nachos are INCREDIBLE and the falafel made for too much food, but...get the falafel. So good, reheats perfectly. The nachos are pita chips with hummus, cabbage, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, parsley, and green onion, with a dollop of what I believe was sour cream, maybe yogurt. The falafel comes with pickles, pickled beets (?), pepperoncini, and tomatoes, plus one entree or the other came with fresh pitas. We both had leftovers.I'm going back for those nachos the minute I'm hungry again. Seriously, my favorite dish I've tried in ages. And it's vegetarian, likely vegan without the sour cream.Vegetarian options: So many vegetarian options! The menu is probably 50/50.

John K: We dined there and I ordered the mixed Shawarma, chicken and beef, hummus and the Mango Mania smoothie. Great flavor and the chicken was very tender. The beef was chewy so I recommend sticking with just chicken. The hummus was served in a plastic container and my reaction was this wasn’t made on premise. My daughter’s take was the restaurant was geared for mostly take out. The pita served with the hummus was not warmed. This made it a bit chewy. The smoothie was Delicious. I would order it again. This is a very casual restaurant and it’s family friendly. No parking lot so you’ll park on the street. You go to the counter to order then they’ll call your name when your food is ready.

Brett Wahle: We asked the Vine to cater our wedding. Not only was the food absolutely incredible, but Ari and the team did everything they could to work for us (which I cannot say for every vendor). We asked to have food ready the day before, and the day of, we asked for them to use our catering pans, and several calls and amendments to the order etc. And while this was obviously more burdensome for them, they accepted these requests with out hesitation. You can tell that they have lots of experience catering to large groups. On the food: the meat is flavorful and moist, and all of the other dishes are rich, and satisfying (everything you would expect from them). The price is unbelievably fair - I do not know where to find food of this quality for this price. It was a great break from the traditional wedding catering. We cannot thank Ari and Team enough for making our wedding unforgettable.
