Len Randazzo: great food the Spanish coffee was great very tasty and very strong on the caffeine. loved their sangria it was delicious . great brunch we will be back soon.Vegetarian options: great rice mushroom peppers olives and cheese tapas
Cindy Shore: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot, Free street parkingMore
Charles Wells: Cool little spot on southwest boulevard, great food, and cocktails. The Coffey here is quite the show.Have had luck here with and without a reservation for a party of 2.Not the cheapest but worth the experince.Parking: You may have to circle the block and walk a block or two. There is a small public lot bear by but it is easily filled. I have never found a spot there
Bryan Whitehead: I’ve been dining here since before it was called La Bodega, so naturally it’s an enduring favorite for me. I always get a combination of tapas, so I don’t have much experience with entrees or salads. The small plates are outstanding. Almost everything I’ve gotten here has been an excellent combination of good basic cuisine and delicious sauce. I’m a big garlic fan, and they do an especially good job with garlic-intensive flavors.I just about always get the brotxeta and the papas fritas con ajo. From there it depends on what’s on special, what my companions want to try and what happens to catch my eye. As I said, I’ve almost never gone wrong. They also do a good job with cocktails. On my most recent visit I got an allspice daiquiri that was quite good. The service here is excellent. I recommend going during happy hour for the cheaper tapas and reduced noise level. Getting lots of small things can add up to a big bill at the end of the meal, and parking can be a little weird. But really this is one of KC's best dining experiences.
Ben Valley: I love tapas places and they are too few. This place is EXCELLENT! If you've never tried or you love tapas..... GO! They also have crazy cheap happy hour deals that are almost HALF OFF! You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't go. There are few places like this a one. Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 2 to 5. Bring a date, bring a spouse, bring of your friends, or go alone. BUT GO!!!!!

Emily Simpson: This place was okay. It was obviously trendy, but I went there with my dad and his older friends, and they couldn't understand the menu, and then you're outside and you've got the noise from the cars driving above you. The two tapas items that I picked from the menu for the table were a hit, but the other two that the table just went with at the suggestion of the server were kinda meh. The drinks were delicious, though. And though noisy, the patio was super cute. I think I'd have a different experience going back with friends. Not for the older crowd, I'd say. I think it could be a 5 star experience if I went with my girlfriends.

Brad: Awesome tapas experience. Unique dishes you are not going to get anywhere else. A lot of fun to bring a group or date and share. Service was top notch every time I have been. SoT: what do users think?
Amber Peterson: Loved the atmosphere and the cocktails!
Emily Sopchak: Wow! Just WOW with these cocktails. Super unique and absolutely delicious. We just had to keep trying what they had to offer! If you like gin they have amazing infused gins and really complex recipes which just bring out all the flavors. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SPOT!
Jalisa Burnett: Great atmosphere. Cozy feel like being around family with the seating Great service
Brian Langlois: Was in KC for the weekend, and made this must on our visit. Only knew about it because of the whole Jackson Mahomes thing. I personally LOVED their response to it. We had as good of a time at SOT as I did when I first read their response to Jackson Mahomes. Quality people, great service, tasty drinks, this place is great! Hope you kept the person who wrote that response around, because I wouldn’t have known about SOT without it, and I am a customer for life now!!! Will be back anytime I’m in KC
Jalisa: Drinks are great. Atmosphere is very welcoming. Service was very attentive.
Aditya Narvekar: Great spot for inventive cocktails!!
Damien Price: Nice little hole in the wall bar with an unassuming exterior. A unique style of cocktails that all comes together well. A must visit when you're in the area. The bartenders here are great as well!
Andrew Hester: Drink were very good!
Adrian B.: We got great recommendations from the menu and amazing custom drinks by the bartender. The atmosphere is relaxed with super friendly staff. Would definitely come back.
Cody Holyoke: Great service, and inventive drinks!
Chelsea Walker: Visited SoT for the first time last night with my best friend and had the best time! Drinks were great and strong. Bartenders were so nice and gave the best conversation. Will be back!
Levi Haddix: I'm only giving 4 stars because this place just really wasn't for me. The bartenders didn't seem attentive to us, but they were very knowledgeable. If you are looking for specialty drinks or top shelf liquor, this is the place to go.
Tim Graham: Warm lighting, tasty drinks, intimate time
Jessica Deister: This place is great. The bartenders are knowledgeable on the products and are always willing to offer personalized recommendations on their curated liquors if they don’t have what you’re asking for. I really respect a bar that puts their money into brands that they really stand behind and support. One of my favorite bars in the city.
Frank Sibs: It was super funny. We walk in this place coming straight from a steakhouse that we spent $400 at dinner on. We ask for a Seagram's 77. We ask for an Old Fashioned with some basil Hayden's whiskey. They don't have either of those which is not a problem but the bartender said if we're looking for a dive bar we can go down the street lol. So we did. Worst service ever. Talk about a sense of entitlement. Owners should secret shop this place.
F V: Love the atmosphere here. Good for a low key date night. Justin makes the best espresso martini! 🍸
Amadeus Meyer: Short wait, but server made sure to communicate well the whole time. Great drinks, you definitely get what you pay for.
Scott Simms: Check your ego at the door and have a great cocktail in a cool setting. Apologize to no one for enjoying your time here completely. Drink in the chic atmosphere and leave your hangers-on at home with Ma.
Caroline Manlove: So far, this has been one of my favorite bars in KC!! The drinks were phenomenal! Loved the vibe and the service was great! An absolute must for a great place to get cocktails!!
Kyle Pucciarello: Love the vibe.Love the atmosphere.Like the drinks.I must admit I expected a little more here, above average cocktails masquerading as the highest of high end. The whiskey list is surprisingly limited as well.Definitely a good spot for a solid pre-dinner cocktail or date night.
Paige Dryden: Drinks were tasty, pretty and strong. The bartender was super nice and helpful. No food here but lots of fun things in the area. We had a good time here!

We were waited on by an extremely knowledgeable sommelier who not only gave great notes about the wines we tasted, but told us stories about the specific vineyards, their histories, influences, and production techniques. He took the time to understand our tastes and suggested incredible wines to try. It was a masterclass in wine education and a wonderful, personalized experience. Bravo!

J. Rieger & Co.: what do users think?
KC RatingsGuy: Great place to visit in KC! Take a slide ride, have a cocktail on a swing in the Courtyard (in their wonderful aluminum cups), take a tour, have drink in speak-easy, have a snack and play a game upstairs! This place is great place to visit while in town. Make sure to bring a ID! On the way out grab one of their limited release whiskeys, you will not be disappointed.

Jeff N: Had a great time with the tour and tasting! Hearing the history of the original distillery to what is now was a great learning experience. Topping it off with the tasting of their product was great.
RedBullKC: Great distillery! What a grand afternoon! 👏 Wonderful drinks, atmosphere, facility, surroundings, amenities, and people watching! There's so much going on in so many different directions! When you enter, there's a reception desk in front of the distillery, tons of merchandise, and full bottles available along with a stainless steel "tornado slide" ..... how exciting is that?! A friend took a "slide video," which is included! The drinks were "good, really good!" The establishment had an upstairs eating area, with beautiful sites from all directions! The bars were shared with the front and back along with a patio area that's a huge hit, with food available! The food looked wonderful! 👌 The staff was friendly and the photos speak for themselves! It was worthy of a visit! This is definitely a well-kept KC secret that needs to be bragged upon! A visit, an afternoon or evening out, it's spectacular!
Torrie S: Really fun place for a drink and / or food. They have multiple spaces for different vibes. Inside they have a slide you can go down and outside on the beautiful patio area they have comfortable seating of all kinds including swings. We didn't try the food but it smelled amazing from the food truck, I think they also serve food upstairs but that wasn't open when we were visiting. Most of the cocktails are batch made but they are good.
Paul Vonderlage: What a great find! A friend recommended J. Rieger and she wasn’t wrong. Awesome atmosphere, plenty of space and places to hang. The appetizers were excellent and the happy hour prices are very reasonable. Oh, and the stainless steel slide is faster than you’d expect! 😂👍🏻
Alexandria French: Had a 7pm tour today led by Amelia, who made the experience that much more wonderful! She was extremely informed and prepared to answer all questions. It was exciting and invigorating, would recommend anyone to try this experience before simply walking into the distillery for drinks.
Melinda Slubowski: Good drinks. Was there to try to win concert tix. Didn't win :-( but it was a cute place, minus the train directly behind the gazebo lol.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Price for adult entry Free …More
Brian Shnatter: Unprofessional. Bad customer service.Man who answered the phone was very rude and sarcastic. Telling me that it is “a given” that I cannot do a self-guided tour and that he was “just being sarcastic”, immediately after he proposed I come do a self-guided tour. J. Rieger & Co should not be hiring people for customer-facing roles who cannot understand that what is obvious to them, about the place they work every day, may not be obvious to others, who have never been there. Very upsetting.
Mike Simmons: This place was amazing

Jess: I recently had the pleasure of visiting this impressive distillery that left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a sense of awe at the sheer size and offerings of this establishment. The experience began with the convenience of pre-ordering a bottle of bourbon online, ensuring a seamless pickup process. What truly set this distillery apart was the exceptional service provided by the friendly and attentive servers. They were knowledgeable about the various spirits on offer and were more than happy to answer any questions I had. Their warm demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. One of the highlights of my visit was the patio area, where I spent most of my time due to the fact that I had my furry companion with me. The distillery's commitment to accommodating pet owners was evident, as they provided ample shade and thoughtfully placed dog bowls throughout the patio area. It was refreshing to find a place that catered to both humans and their four-legged friends. To my delight, I discovered that the distillery also offered a happy hour promotion. The drinks during this time were offered at half off the regular price, and they were truly outstanding. I found the happy hour beverages to be not only great in taste but also incredibly refreshing, perfectly complementing the ambiance of the distillery. In summary, this distillery left me thoroughly impressed with its vast size, friendly staff, pet-friendly atmosphere, and excellent happy hour offerings. I would highly recommend visiting this establishment to anyone looking for a remarkable experience. Whether you're a cocktail making enthusiast, a dog lover, or simply seeking a delightful happy hour, this distillery has something to offer everyone.
Sarah Farmer: Tour was overly priced not even that great. Forced to pay in advance, yet if not all parties show up you dont get a refund and was charged gratuity for a TOUR? Not impressed especially for the prices of it all.
Matthew Bergmann: Our tour guide carried the performance!!! When he said we can lick the barrels it was gamover. Please ask for victor!!! #Coolbeans
Linda Sands: Awesome as always!
TerryLisa Moore: First time & we loved the atmosphere & experience! Beautiful old warehouse with an open & airy loft bar area. Happy hour was a nice perk with better priced cocktails & yummy appetizers. Of course, our inner-children loved the slide!
Jason Frank: They've got great good and drinks, they sell premade cocktails, and are very actively involved in the community. What's not to like?
Anthony Delafuente: I have enjoyed the distillery and the Monogram Lounge since they opened. The atrium and the Electric Park Garden are newer additions that are awesome. J. Rieger has become my go-to destination when someone comes in from out of town. Have never had a bad experience at Rieger. The staff is awesome, drinks are great, and the food is excellent. I joined the VIP club, and love it. Looking forward to using my benefits and visiting J. Rieger as often as I can.
Christine R: Did a prohibition tour from here, it was tons of fun. We had a really neat group of people. 14 participants was just the right amount. Had the horse feathers drink here, quite tasty. The other places visited were equally good. The history is very interesting with a great museum. Next door, across the tracks, is another fun stop, knuckleheads! Night and day vibe but well worth both👍👍
Bret J.: First and foremost, I must say that the experience of touring J. Reiger and Co's distillery was truly exceptional. From start to finish, the tour was informative, engaging, and immersive. Victor, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of J. Reiger and Co, as well as the history of Kansas City and its role in American whiskey production. He brought the tour to life with his enthusiasm and passion for the subject matter. Victor could answer any and all questions. One of the most impressive aspects of the tour was the attention to detail and authenticity that J. Reiger and Co has put into their distillery. From the antique copper stills to the hand-crafted wooden barrels, every aspect of the distillery felt genuine and true to the company's history and ethos. Victor did an excellent job of explaining the various stages of the distillation process, from mashing to fermenting to aging, and how each step contributes to the unique flavors and characteristics of J. Reiger and Co's whiskeys. After the tour, we had the pleasure of enjoying some phenomenal cocktails in the Lounge. The cocktails were expertly crafted, using J. Reiger and Co's own spirits, as well as locally sourced ingredients. The Lounge itself was beautifully designed, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink.Throughout the tour and the Lounge experience, I was struck by the importance of J. Reiger and Co's role in preserving and promoting Kansas City's history and culture. The company's commitment to using locally sourced ingredients and working with other local businesses is a testament to their dedication to their community and their desire to help promote and sustain the region's unique character.Overall, I would highly recommend J. Reiger and Co's guided tour of their distillery in the East Bottoms of Kansas City. Victor was an outstanding tour guide, the cocktails in the Lounge were exceptional, and the attention to detail and authenticity throughout the entire experience was truly impressive. Whether you are a whiskey enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates good drinks and good company, this tour is not to be missed.

Tye B: What a beautifully designed place to visit for a nightcap love the ambience and the overall vibe. Upon my visit I noticed the beautifully hanging butterflies drinks are amazing as always I went for a traditional old fashioned it was a solid contender to others iv tried. Prices are to be expected for a nice experience, and reservations are Preffered but not required if there is open space. It's one of those places you just have to go and visit on your own. Outside seating is nice, but inside is where you get the whole experience. I will be back as they seemed to have notable wine list.

Sarah Bailey: Five stars for Sarah the hospitality manager! She is a literal angel who made our experience a 100/10. Will be sending ALL the business here to see Sarah. Can’t wait to come back.
ShaNyia Roberts: Always a good time going here! They have a seasonal menu and this one probably is my favorite so far, the Bone Marrow Tartine is sooo good and so fresh, the fresh herbs combined with the crispy crust and lemon is just too good! Their ribeye bolognese is also so amazing, great flavor throughout, the ONLY complaint I have is the food is never hot. I enjoy hot food and sometimes I have to send it back to get it to the right temp, my other friends have complained about this too. However that doesn’t negate the fact that the food AND drinks are always great. High quality lounge and the staff are pretty great too!
Brea: Delicious, fun, entertaining cocktails. Wonderful ambience. Great crowd.
Branden Chung: Beautiful designed, cool ambiance, amazing service and incredibly thoughtful, well-crafted drinks. One of the weekend spots I miss most about living in Kansas City.
Chris Denslow: Fantastic management. Guy never misses a guest. Makes everyone feel noticed and important!
Nathan Hunt: Bartenders were very helpful with questions and recommendations, menu is superb.
Mg 0: Amazing, exquisite, classy, welcoming. From the cosy bench seating to the intimate tables & convivial bar, this cocktail lounge is one of the best that I’ve visited. The graceful thematic execution and encouraging reminder of the monarch butterfly and its journeys and plight, the gentille hospitality of the bartenders, the creativity and perfection of the cocktails & written drinks menu… All comes together here.Perfect place on a Monday evening when conversation, peacefulness & wonder is the goal.
Jasmine Lowe: Love the Link in Bio!Pink elephant is good also.If you like whiskey, try the Meridian.
Selena J: Swanky upscale cocktails without the attitude
Mario Smith: Very nice atmosphere!
Zachary Cooke: 🔥🔥🔥
Amber Ro: Wonderful staff
Armita: Amazing contemporary bar. Absolutely love the butterfly references in decorations, menu and outside of the bar. There many amazing craft cocktails and small plates. The menu is very creative. There is a unique name for the drinks. They also have great selections of beers and wines. They are open until midnight weekdays. So, it’s a great spot to hangout during the week as well.
SA Berry: This place is so freaking beautiful! I felt like I was in a hotel bar, but it's a stand-alone cocktail lounge that feels incredibly intimate. The drinks were delicious (I ordered the margarita) and the server was kind! If you're in the mood for a great date night, go here!
Mariana Gutierrez: The servers, bartenders & manager were amazing! Shoutout to Lina, Yari & Sarah you ladies made my night thank you for your awesome customer service ❤️ I will definitely be coming here again!
Nimrat Johal: Booked a private event for my 30th. I’ve attended as a guest many times but hosting an event here is a 10/10 experience. The bartenders are exceptional, food is great and the servers… they make sure you and all your guests are taken care of. Stephen is great to work with and the hospitality manager Sarah was so professional. Would definitely recommend for all your event/party needs!
Delaney Lange: Definitely the most expensive bar I've been to, the cocktails were amazing and the atmosphere was pretty. I wish the menu was a little longer and more descriptive
S L: I love this place. The price of cocktails here, especially for happy hour, isn't any higher than many restaurants, but the quality is out of this world. If you like whiskey cocktails, try the Louisiana Purchase.
