Mitch e Amaro: what do users think?
Gayan Premaratne: It’s a very small place with small collection though. But still an Awesome place to buy some quality wine for a good price.
Alana DeForest: LoveLoveLove Mitch! Liquor store, bar supplies, Field notes (if you know, you know) and a bar to try cocktails all in one. Lots of interesting and unique liquor options for sale. No beer or wine or food (not a negative for me, but some might care) They helped me figure out what my signature/favorite cocktail is.
K TOWNSEND (KEVIN & KAREN): We made our first visit here and can definitely see ourselves coming back. The environment is welcoming of all kinds of questions about cocktails and it’s perfect for trying something new or polishing the recipe on one of your favorites. We ended up walking out with all of the fixings for two different cocktails after trying a few. It was a pleasure to sit and chat with other customers as well as with the staff.
Danella Spurgeon: What a fun and interesting experience!!!1. It's a fully stocked bar that's opens every single day between 11-12 am, I like drinking before it gets too late in the evening, and if you're older you get why.2. Revolving menu of interesting and unique drinks, plus all the classics too.3. Really nice, educated, and helpful bartenders.4. No well or bottom shelf liquor here. Everything is carefully chosen, and well curated.5. If you try something at the bar they sell it in the store, if you want to know how to make what you drank they'll help you with that.6. Great discounts! If you buy a cocktail, you get $5 off a bottle, if you buy one of there great selection of drink recipe books you get $10 off a bottle.7. It's a grown up bar, cozy comfortable, good music, but not too loud, and themes different nights of the week.Overall wonderful afternoon at Mitch!
Isaac Graham: Great place to stop in for a drink. I think the clerk/bartenders name was Jason. I talked to Jason over a few cocktails for at least a couple hours. I appreciate the adherence to historic cocktail recipes and the conversation! The bar is very small and only a few tables for 2 in this store. The bar is only one part of the store, while the rest is a seemingly high end liquor store. I plan on taking a bottle home with me next time. Thank you to the owners for a unique drinking and shopping experience. And of course, thanks to Jason for his mixology and good company.
NP D: Fantastic whiskeys and service
Stephanie Simms: Love this quiet spot to have a unique drink, well made at excellent prices. Team is all super knowledgeable. Might be a little cliquey, has a little bit of a "who are you?" vibe, but worth it. Learn to make a drink and then buy the ingredients to impress your friends!
Daniel Hutabarat: Always a pleasure coming here for a drink.
Jennifer Brenneman: I've had a lot of daquiris in my life, but Jenny (bartender) makes the best one by far.
Colby Troyer: Loved it here! The bartender, Chris, was super knowledgeable and made fantastic drinks. Great atmosphere and selection. Also a big fan of Mitch, so overall very happy with my experience here
Scott Shepherd: I love coming here to get a cocktail and to take a new bottle home to try. We drive 45 minutes to come here because the liquor stores in south kc do not have such a unique inventory. The only sad thing is they do not really carry much scotch. Lots of all the other spirits and the most mezcal ive seen in one place!
Lanny Beauchamp: Enjoy the happy hour tasting on Fridays
Angela Dudley: Great cocktail supply store with a small bar inside. The alcohol selection is top notch, with a good mix of both local KC liquors and top shelf varieties. They have a great selection of mixers that are made with cane sugar instead of corn syrup. I love that they carry the Liber & Co. line of mixers. Once I tried authentic grenadine, I have no desire to go back to that bright red stuff.
ericthered kc: Great handcrafted cocktails from a nice selection.
J FS: Not the most welcoming place...the employee failed to acknowledge we were there. After about 20 min browsing around we decided to leave the bottles we were going to purchase and forget about the drinks. The other customers gave us death stares, so if you're into feeling unwelcome then this is the place to go.
Hope Harms: This quiet little cocktail shop comes alive at night! Visited a few times on Saturday mornings to explore a new ingredient or more to try. Staff have been pleasant and helpful. Finally had a chance to visit on a Saturday night, and it had a good crowd with just a seat or two open, a-buzz with conversation. Extensive menu of different cocktails, nice for trying an ingredient or a recipe you may not normally have on hand at home (but could probably buy it here if you like it). We tried the Nippon and Paper Plane. Fun stop before catching a movie down the street at Screenland Armour!
Matthew J. Scott: Craftiest cocktails in KCMO
Brooke Blue: Love this place. Looking for unusual cocktail ingredients or a very special cocktail to enjoy? Stop in. Friendly. Knowledgeable. And well stocked. It's a toy store for grown ups!
Dan Raeber: Felt unwelcome. If you don't ask too many questions I'm sure you will be fine.
Patrick Lamb: Great atmosphere, great craft cocktails
Shae Tanasychuk: Best selection of amaro I’ve ever seen.

Lukas Wine & Spirits Superstore: what do users think?
Michael Hizer: If they don't have it, you don't need it. A ridiculous selection of beer, wine and spirits.
Mohit Vatsa: Lukas is huge. I was visiting KC and went there to find some bitters that currently not available in my area. This place has huge selection of everything - from whiskies to wine to beer. They even have a room with high-end whiskies and bourbons. A must visit.
Peter Winston Aldredge: This is my favorite store for wine and spirits! Unbelievable selection, clean, organized and the staff are always welcoming and helpful! I recently found my car battery died while I was in the store. A jump service through my insurance company was to take 1 to 1.5 hours so I decided to ask an employee for help. Her manager had jumper cables and another employee, Maurice used his truck to jump start my car. I was so thankful they were willing and able to help. “Thanks to all of you!”
Doug Martens: Lots of alcohol for all palates. Great beer selection, isles and isles of wine, and a wide variety of liquor. You'll need a cart
Mary Martin: It's my favorite place for adult refreshments.
Kevin W: Lots of varieties
Brandon Goodman: What a cool place. Like a Walmart for alcohol
Sonja Harness: A great liquor and beer superstore! You can find Everything!
Rusty Brinkman: Great selection, always fun stuff when I'm in town, friendly staff ready to help
Rick P: So I was in this store the other day to get some refreshments for a party I was having. I had and associate by the name of Carrie help me out. She was the friendliest employee there. She was helpful knew her refreshments. I was able to describe what I was looking for and she knew what I was talking about. Will definitely go back here from now on. Only wish to work with Carrie. If you go in this store ask for help from her she will help you with whatever you need help with. A+
NDM: They had what I wanted even though it was a bit expensive.
Maria Salpistidis: I have visited this store a handful of times in the past. My experience has always been great until today. I went in to buy something specific which I found quite quickly and then decided to browse for some good bourbon. After a few minutes one of the employees came up behind me and asked in a weird snarky way if she could help me find something. I told her that I was looking for bourbon but wasn't sure which one I wanted. She told me the isles that had it and then proceeded to tell me that the don't allow backpacks in the store. Excuse me? I told her this was my purse (very small designer backpack) and I have used it as my daily purse for over a year!!! Mind you this "backpack" is less than half the size of a regular school bag. It took me a second to realize that I was being racially profiled. I have never felt so humiliated. I actually told her she can search me when I got to the register. This is wrong on so many levels. If you have a policy like that make sure you enforce it on everyone (two other woman walked in the store with their HUGE purses and nothing was said) Also have a huge sign at the door stating that like you do for age limit and not a ripped up piece of 8x10 paper that is half hanging outside as I noticed when I left because I specifically looked for it. Honestly it's not the policy it was the accusatory tone in her voice. A super nice gentleman named Bill helped ring me up and decide between a couple of bourbons. I opened my "backpack" wide open so he can see that I wasn't hiding anything, paid for my multiple bourbons and walked out. Walking to my car I still felt uneasy but mostly upset at myself for not calling the woman out. I guess the shock of being racially profiled hadn't worn off. I sat in my car for a few minutes and after going back in forth in my head on what to do I went back in and asked sweet Bill who the lady was. He said Carrie. So here we are. I am writing this review so hopefully Carrie can get educated on how to approach customers that don't fit her "All American" mold. If you have a "bag" rule make a big plastic sign that is visible to all as you do for legal age limit to purchase. That way there is no confusion on what the expectations are for people entering your store. Will I be back? Not anytime soon.
Mike Myers: Love this place .Such a great place. And very good service
Greg Rice: Outstanding selection and variety
Denia Bates: Great customer service. The curb side pick up is an added bonus. Anytime I’ve ever been here everyone is so friendly and store is organized.
M. Seamster: Great prices
Dawn Campos: Very large selection! Staff is very friendly. They will help you find what you are looking for!
Don Leming: Great selection and great prices
Kevin Sapp: Wow! I felt like a kid at Toys We’re Us! Staff was amazing and very knowledgeable able. They have a great selection of Bourbon! Traveling through, but will definitely be back for something bigger (took home a small still pot). I was able to also get some harder to find (in Florida) Bourbons to share with family the nice warm hugs!
Clarissa Mays: Go on Fridays there are samples. Great selection and great prices
Jennifer Falbo: Lukas Wine & Spirits has so much to choose from! Their inventory is very diverse!! The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly! This is my go to store to buy any alcohol!!

Tom's Town Distilling Co.: what do users think?
Matt Weeks: We enjoyed happy hour and a tour of the distillery for a company outing. The food was really good, the happy hour drinks were amazing and the tour guide was awesome to give us the details on the distilling and the history of Tom’s Town.
Tommy Lopez: Eli was an excellent server and bartender. He was knowledgeable about spirits in general and about what they distill specifically. He made great recommendations. The drinks were tasty and well made. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. The only downside is some of the spirits were lackluster. Though, I'd really like to see what they could do with an English dry gin. The floral gins are just not my thing.
Scott Sulik: Incredible experience. From the drinks and food to the service, we loved every bit of our lunch. The cocktails were inventive and bold but not overpowering. The brussels sprouts, stuffed mushrooms, and flatbread were all delicious as well. Will definitely make a point to come back and book a tasting tour on our next visit.
Debbie Berkowitz: We had the best time, so much fun learning about the interesting history of Kansas City and the distillery. The tasting was great, our tour guide was amazing, loved his job and was very knowledgeable of the products. Highly recommend going here if you are in KC!
Dawnel Davidson: There are only about two or three establishments in the KC downtown corridor that have a flawless cocktail program. Tom's Town is one of them. In fact, it might be the best. Atmosphere literally drips art deco and the staff couldn't be nicer and more knowledgeable. All the basic spirits are distilled in-house. The labour involved in preparing their tinctures, shrubs, etc. is absolutely mind-blowing. The Angry Goat is an all-time delicious spicy cocktail. In 10-20 visits we've never had even an "ok" cocktail, they're all amazing. If you go on the right night, Uli, Eli, and the rest are absolute magicians behind the bar.
John Connell: On point with the old fashioned!
Dave Duval: Bartender was great and steered me in the right direction. Would visit again.
Jim Work: Outstanding tour. We've toured several distilleries and Tom's Town was by far and away the most historically interesting. Their unique tasting lounge and cocktails made our experience top shelf.
Liz Lehfeldt: Great classic cocktails
Daydreanne Loftis: We did a distillery tour here on Saturday and we had a fantastic time - highly recommend! It was informative and fun, mixed with a cool video from the current owners (what a hoot). We toured all 3 floors, did the tasting (1 vodka, 2 gins and 2 burbons). Such a smooth vodka! We enjoyed everything so much that we stuck around after the tour and had some snacks, breakfast hash for him and truffles for me.Our waitress, Josie, was attentive and kind. What a gem of a place and I hope more people stop in and experience this!
Steve Cisetti: Amazing experience! Great tour, lots of interesting information and stories, plus great tasting spirits. Highly recommend.
Shawn Wallace: Stopped here after dinner for a couple drinks. Was pretty busy, but found a seat at the bar. The double oak old fashioned was my favorite on the bourbon/whiskey side.
Lauren Achziger: Tasting was very interesting, lots of good info and explanation of the distilling process. The tour portion was fine, could have done without the political speech that was included with the history of the town. Otherwise, enjoyed it.
Ted T: Excellent experience, nice ambiance, will return with friends and family.
Kelsey Ryan: Always a great spot to grab drinks and small plates.
J. The super: GR8
Charlotte Lee: We had a great time. The tour was fun and informative. Lots of interesting facts about KC history. We went to the basement area for a drink and snacks after the tour. We felt like we were walking into a 1920s speakeasy. A great evening.
Rodrigo Sarmento Leite: Terrible experience. Incredibly rude service and sleazy billing practices.
Curtis Reed: It was the best place I've been in a long time
D. Majesty: Victim survivor of 16 years fake narcissistic relationship..6 years in the making 6 years healing journey.
Michael Hopkins: Visiting Tom’s Town is one of my favorite experiences. The bar and dining area is upscale but comfortable, the drinks are inventive and always great. The food is also great. I’d recommend coming in for a tour, tasting everything they have to offer, and then hanging out for as long as you can.

I stopped in with a friend last week and Sunny took great care of us behind the bar — she was very knowledgeable and had some delicious drink recommendations for us. Lawrence Weigel: Phenomenal cocktails and cozy atmosphere! Can’t think of a single bad thing to say. This is definitely in my top 5 must-try spots in Kansas City

Charles Wells: Cool little spot on southwest boulevard, great food, and cocktails. The Coffey here is quite the show.Have had luck here with and without a reservation for a party of 2.Not the cheapest but worth the experince.Parking: You may have to circle the block and walk a block or two. There is a small public lot bear by but it is easily filled. I have never found a spot there
Bryan Whitehead: I’ve been dining here since before it was called La Bodega, so naturally it’s an enduring favorite for me. I always get a combination of tapas, so I don’t have much experience with entrees or salads. The small plates are outstanding. Almost everything I’ve gotten here has been an excellent combination of good basic cuisine and delicious sauce. I’m a big garlic fan, and they do an especially good job with garlic-intensive flavors.I just about always get the brotxeta and the papas fritas con ajo. From there it depends on what’s on special, what my companions want to try and what happens to catch my eye. As I said, I’ve almost never gone wrong. They also do a good job with cocktails. On my most recent visit I got an allspice daiquiri that was quite good. The service here is excellent. I recommend going during happy hour for the cheaper tapas and reduced noise level. Getting lots of small things can add up to a big bill at the end of the meal, and parking can be a little weird. But really this is one of KC's best dining experiences.
Ben Valley: I love tapas places and they are too few. This place is EXCELLENT! If you've never tried or you love tapas..... GO! They also have crazy cheap happy hour deals that are almost HALF OFF! You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't go. There are few places like this a one. Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 2 to 5. Bring a date, bring a spouse, bring of your friends, or go alone. BUT GO!!!!!

Emily Simpson: This place was okay. It was obviously trendy, but I went there with my dad and his older friends, and they couldn't understand the menu, and then you're outside and you've got the noise from the cars driving above you. The two tapas items that I picked from the menu for the table were a hit, but the other two that the table just went with at the suggestion of the server were kinda meh. The drinks were delicious, though. And though noisy, the patio was super cute. I think I'd have a different experience going back with friends. Not for the older crowd, I'd say. I think it could be a 5 star experience if I went with my girlfriends.

Brad: Awesome tapas experience. Unique dishes you are not going to get anywhere else. A lot of fun to bring a group or date and share. Service was top notch every time I have been. SoT: what do users think?
Amber Peterson: Loved the atmosphere and the cocktails!
Emily Sopchak: Wow! Just WOW with these cocktails. Super unique and absolutely delicious. We just had to keep trying what they had to offer! If you like gin they have amazing infused gins and really complex recipes which just bring out all the flavors. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SPOT!
Jalisa Burnett: Great atmosphere. Cozy feel like being around family with the seating Great service
Brian Langlois: Was in KC for the weekend, and made this must on our visit. Only knew about it because of the whole Jackson Mahomes thing. I personally LOVED their response to it. We had as good of a time at SOT as I did when I first read their response to Jackson Mahomes. Quality people, great service, tasty drinks, this place is great! Hope you kept the person who wrote that response around, because I wouldn’t have known about SOT without it, and I am a customer for life now!!! Will be back anytime I’m in KC
Jalisa: Drinks are great. Atmosphere is very welcoming. Service was very attentive.
Aditya Narvekar: Great spot for inventive cocktails!!
Damien Price: Nice little hole in the wall bar with an unassuming exterior. A unique style of cocktails that all comes together well. A must visit when you're in the area. The bartenders here are great as well!
Andrew Hester: Drink were very good!
Adrian B.: We got great recommendations from the menu and amazing custom drinks by the bartender. The atmosphere is relaxed with super friendly staff. Would definitely come back.
Cody Holyoke: Great service, and inventive drinks!
Chelsea Walker: Visited SoT for the first time last night with my best friend and had the best time! Drinks were great and strong. Bartenders were so nice and gave the best conversation. Will be back!
Levi Haddix: I'm only giving 4 stars because this place just really wasn't for me. The bartenders didn't seem attentive to us, but they were very knowledgeable. If you are looking for specialty drinks or top shelf liquor, this is the place to go.
Tim Graham: Warm lighting, tasty drinks, intimate time
Jessica Deister: This place is great. The bartenders are knowledgeable on the products and are always willing to offer personalized recommendations on their curated liquors if they don’t have what you’re asking for. I really respect a bar that puts their money into brands that they really stand behind and support. One of my favorite bars in the city.
Frank Sibs: It was super funny. We walk in this place coming straight from a steakhouse that we spent $400 at dinner on. We ask for a Seagram's 77. We ask for an Old Fashioned with some basil Hayden's whiskey. They don't have either of those which is not a problem but the bartender said if we're looking for a dive bar we can go down the street lol. So we did. Worst service ever. Talk about a sense of entitlement. Owners should secret shop this place.
F V: Love the atmosphere here. Good for a low key date night. Justin makes the best espresso martini! 🍸
Amadeus Meyer: Short wait, but server made sure to communicate well the whole time. Great drinks, you definitely get what you pay for.
Scott Simms: Check your ego at the door and have a great cocktail in a cool setting. Apologize to no one for enjoying your time here completely. Drink in the chic atmosphere and leave your hangers-on at home with Ma.
Caroline Manlove: So far, this has been one of my favorite bars in KC!! The drinks were phenomenal! Loved the vibe and the service was great! An absolute must for a great place to get cocktails!!
Kyle Pucciarello: Love the vibe.Love the atmosphere.Like the drinks.I must admit I expected a little more here, above average cocktails masquerading as the highest of high end. The whiskey list is surprisingly limited as well.Definitely a good spot for a solid pre-dinner cocktail or date night.
Paige Dryden: Drinks were tasty, pretty and strong. The bartender was super nice and helpful. No food here but lots of fun things in the area. We had a good time here!
