Don Trio: Rented earth moving equipment. Returned in less than a day. Asked if I cleaned it. I stated I brushed it off the best that I could. Rep went out checked it while making me wait 10 to 15 min. When he came back he stated you didn’t clean it. And then went on to say that he was going to charge me $200 to clean it and then said next time he would make me go clean it better. I was like for earth moving equipment that is very clean. He said I’m going to wave it this time. Like he was doing me a favor waisting my time and lecturing me. I have a commercial account at Home Depot. I was like this is how you treat your customers. I’m won’t be renting from you guys again.
Noel P: Great place to rent those one time use tools and yard seasonal machines that you probably only use once every 2 years. Machines always work and are tested in front of you. Staff is always there to assist and the rates are extremely reasonable.

Jeff Haley: I ordered a street sweeper to be delivered on December 19th as our lots would be empty for a week. I received a call from the dispatcher on the 18th telling me it would arrive at 8:30am. At 8:45 on the 19th, I called and was told it would be there at 11. The driver showed up at 11:20 and unloaded the machine. He was very nice and tried his best to get it to work but it was a dud. Amy called and offered a larger machine for $1000 more a week but our P O system works so slow that by the time I issued a new one, break would be over. That is our fault, not Sunbelt's.At this point, not a big problem. Annoying but not terrible. Then ANDREW KOMER called. He called me 2 hours after we had closed interrupting dinner. I told him what my work hours were- he kept talking. I told him he was interrupting dinner-he kept talking. I treated him like any telemarketer calling during dinner and hung up. THEN THE TEXTS started. I explained what went wrong with the delivery. His response was not to take responsibility but to deflect and say it wasn't his location's problem. I called him back this morning during his business hours which, according to the sunbelt website, starts at 7am. I explained that he could talk to me now but he kept talking over me, called me a liar, saying I never told him that he was interrupting dinner. I did, but he did not shut his mouth long enough to hear me. After calling me a liar and a coward (twice), he hung up.I spent 14 years in the Marine Corps. Honesty and Integrity mean a lot. I will not tolerate being called a liar. Thanks to Mr. Komer, my company will NEVER do business with Sunbelt.The 2 stars are for the polite dispatcher and the very helpful delivery driver. They did their best.

Don't plan on picking anything up unless you have a 1-ton, or bigger, truck with 7-pin connection and at least class III towing capability. As them to deliver. They delivered to me for free because my trailer lights weren't working.

I was even told it would be there by 1 PM. If it had gotten there even then they may have gotten something done. Now I have to reschedule this call and deal with a mad customer and pay extra money to get a lift back out there again. seriously thinking of looking at other options for next time.

Switched from another rental company to United. This lasted about 6 months. Switched back to the other company. Biggest problem, I would call and order a lift or call a lift off after I was done on a project and they office people looking at their computer screen and telling them my and my company name couldn't find me in the computer. And this was after renting probably 3-4 lifts from them. I only have one name and one company name. Lacked any customer service skills and common sense. No clue how they stay in business. Never use them again. Need to train their people to show people some respect and how to use a computer.

Ryan Arter: I was driving behind a Herc Rental flatbed truck that was carrying a backhoe and being driven by a Herc employee. Rocks came off of the deck and cracked my windshield. Kansas Highway Patrol happened to be there driving next to me and stopped the truck. We exchanged information and the officer told the Herc driver to repair the windshield.I have been calling into the supervisor for over a month - Mike Martinez - and he took my call that very day but now will no longer accept my calls and I have left numerous messages. He told me the first day that he would get me his insurance information and would call me back. I have been patient, and I have even called the driver back - Greg Hogan - asking him to help me get through to Mike. All I want is my windshield repaired as prescribed by the officer...The lack of reply from the “management” when this should be a very easy insurance claim is untenable.

I have used them so much as far as generators and platform lift equipment that now I have created an account with them. They have come in handy on short notice when I need equipment fast. At one time I needed a large boom lift to set up lights that I didn't know would be delivered so late. I had it delivered within the hour of calling. Very happy to be working with them! Brittney Merideth: If I could put zero stars I would, Just wanted to share my bad experience with Platte Rental & Supply. We’ve used them a few times now to rent a trailer the one in parkville when we go riding, the first time no issue. The second time my boyfriend brought my jeep to pick it up not realizing it didn’t have the plug to connect the lights before hand😅 so they wouldn’t let us leave with it. We didn’t get it. Understandable whatever, but they still charged my card for that day. The kid said he messed up and charged it by accident, said that we would have a credit and not have to pay the next time. Well this past weekend we went back got the trailer, except this time when we returned it… It was the said OWNER who said we didn’t pay last time. We did. It came out of my account. Told him what happened explained the situation, didn’t pay because we already had and we’re told we had a credit. My boyfriend didn’t even bring anything with him to pay because it was suppose to be a credit. This morning I woke up to find that the said OWNER charged my card AGAIN anyways. My boyfriend called and the owner said “the kid didn’t know what he was talking about, It’s our word aginst his, the card was on file so he charged it” with out my permission.????? He started getting loud and arguing. What kind of company does that. We’re honest people and i’m all about the good karma and doing the right thing. Cant dispute the charge yet because it’s still processing. Guy said something about it doesn’t matter not like we’re going to get a lawyer over 60 bucks? After it as brought up that it’s illegal to charge my card without my permission. Also in a round about way said if we don’t wanna pay the 60 for the trailer (which we already paid) we can’t afford a lawyer? That’s how I perceived it, he followed that comment with a chuckle. We did pay but it’s whatever, I’ll dispute the charges and won’t be returning. Sure it’s just 60 bucks but it’s the principle of how the entire situation was handled. How unprofessional seriously. Just my personal experience.

Christopher Thompson: Do not rent anything for your wedding here. I booked cocktail tables last minute from Platte Rental & Supply. I’m giving them a 1 out of 5⭐️ rating because they absolutely try to scam their wedding parties. Our wedding was on a Saturday and our venue had an event on Monday. After I signed the contract they said they would pick up their items whenever they had time because they had too many deliveries. Unfortunately, I informed them, everything needed to be picked up from the venue between 8/9 am on Monday. Their response essentially was like, “Meh, we can’t do that. We don’t have the time to come first thing in the morning. However, if you’d like to book an appointment with us to come back and pick up the tables at a specific time/location for an additional fee of $125, we will find time for you. The other option is to break down the tables yourself and drive them them back to us an hour away for no additional fee”. My response was literally: 🙄 Of course, there’s an additional fee. There wasn’t much of a choice with my hands tied behind my back and the only options were HUGE INCONVENIENCE or SENSELESS ADDITIONAL FEES that add up to half of the rental cost. We obviously ended up paying the fee because we had no choice. We were too busy the day after cleaning up the venue and entertaining friends in town. I’m sure they know this is the case for most couples and use it take advantage of them. I would never use them again. After posting this review on FB someone commented that they had done the same thing to them so this is apparently standard practice for them to milk couples for more money. Steer clear.
Dan Miklovic: This business is top notch. Traveling home from Montana to St. Louis I had a bearing go out on my utility trailer. I stopped there to see about renting a flatbed to get it home. They suggested the might be able to repair it. I continued home while they took a look at it. It turned out it needed an entire axle - not something they do. I got a flatbed in St. Louis and went back to get my trailer and they helped load it a day and a half later. For the diagnosis, the storage and the help loading it they did not charge anything. For anyone in the KC area looking for a customer friendly rental place this is it!

matt: Do not go here. There are way better stihl dealers around town. I have bought 2 saws from this place and had to take one in for a repair that should have been done within a week or 2. Instead it took 5+ weeks!! Ended up paying almost double the original estimate due to part being obsolete. Took them 3 weeks to figure out the part was obsolete. Asked for a 10% discount due to taking more than twice as long as it should have and being almost double the original estimate. U would think they would give some sort of discount for someone that has bought $800 worth of saws and countless other things there. I understand parts being obsolete, but why did it take 3 weeks to figure that out? All in all they have poor customer service and are not loyal to repeat customers. Drive a little further and go to a stihl dealer that cares about their customer service!!

Kimberly Tolliver: Called to get pricing on supplies for my wedding but when they informed my they didn’t carry what I was in need of, I asked if they could recommend someone in town that might have what I was looking for. I was promptly hung up on. When I called back to see if maybe we were only disconnected, no one would answer my call. Needless to say.... we will not be using or referring this company to our guests.
Dayton Jenison: Rented a bobcat through them for a snow removal. Windshield wiper didn’t work, so I had to fix it my self to be able to see while working through the blizzard... when I asked them why they sent it, said they didn’t have the parts to fix it.. yet still rented it out. Didn’t help with it or offer anything in return for the problem.
Adam Woydziak: Platte Rental & Supply was a pleasure to deal with. The staff was friendly and helpful, equipment was well maintained and they were very efficient. I originally rented for a day, but returned the equipment within the 4 hour window and they adjusted the rate accordingly with no hassle. I will check Platte Rental & Supply first for my rental needs in the future.
Namito Redhawk: Ive been going here for years and today the staff got extremely rude with me because of the back up in work they have then the owner got on the phone and started to cuss me out and stand by his men stating hes known this man 40 years so that makes his word better than mine if i wouid have been in front of shawn the man that got extremly aggresive with me he probably would have tried to hit me there are better places than this
