She put so much detail into this small tattoo. I legitimately teared up upon seeing the finished product. The staff at Dear You treated me great, and Maegan gave clear and helpful aftercare advice. After 1.5 years, the tattoo still looks incredible. I receive so many compliments on a regular basis about how great it looks. I highly recommend Maegan and Dear You Tattoo!

Not to mention her skills are INSANELY good!!! I had her design & tattoo a fine line, rather detailed piece about 4"x4" or so. She absolutely killed it. He managed to get me a 4 hour appointment even though I'm visiting and had limited availability myself. The shop is clean, very sterile, and private. Meg Boster: This was my first tattoo and it was a great experience that I’ll definitely be recommending this to others! The place was exceptionally clean, like not even a spot of dust anywhere. Steve was also great and explained the whole process and what he was doing, I was very nervous as it was my first time. But Steve asked me questions and that helped distract from the pain. Tattoos not bad, but then you're going for their emotion vs yours. Again worked up a base to be booked more than a month at a time.Not sure if that busy is just a spoon theory issue or real tattoo busy.We'll see how the piece looks over time.Conclusion very niche work. Mostly self produced flash. (Anime) moody, and could use work creating a professional front and referring to it.

I felt very comfortable with them and they constantly made sure I was okay. I plan on coming back to Howling Sorcery for all of my future tattoos because of how I was treated there. Tiffany Locke: This is a mixed review but overall end result was a 5 star to Justin Brown! My adventure 🙄 started there with Tyler Moody. I’d done my research, Tyler was amazing at flowers and that was most of what I wanted. I had 5 visits with him for a back piece which all went well until the last. He took it upon himself to do complete opposite of what I wanted. He took the liberty and felt the need to fill in my entire back with shading which at one point I saw and told him immediately this was not what I wanted. Last appt was touch up on all and my back was numb. After telling him that, he continued and completely ruined the entire piece. I felt so violated and told him the next day exactly how I felt and how long did I need to wait before I could do removal. Fast forward, 4K later after removal, I was pretty gunshy about trying again to complete it. I attempted to discuss this with Tyler, but he only wanted to fix and add more which I did not want and stood behind his decision with the creative liberty he took. Never once apologized. Justin had been at the shop each time I had been with Tyler and knew my situation. He offered to fix it for me and make it right even though none of this fell on his shoulders. After deciding to set up an appt with him, the day before I had such anxiety about it with all I’d already endured. He called me and we chatted for an hour. He listened, knew what I wanted and heard me. Throughout the entire process with him, he would constantly take breaks and check with me, show me, and discuss things before he just did. Never once did he take personal creativity on as his personal mission. I will never go to anyone but him again and fully endorse him as a actual professional tattoo artist!! I was able to book an appointment with tyler moody and was very excited because he owned the shop so my tattoo was no doubt going to be amazing. The aftermath of my tattoo is a huge disappointment. The tattoo itself is beautiful, but the ink fall out into my skin has ruined it for me and it gets darker every day. Tyler told me himself “oh theres nothing to fix that you’ll have to get a cover up or expand the tattoo so you dont see the black ink leakage.” Im very disappointed, sad, and angry that i trusted someone so much with something so permanent and they were careless. Matthew Moskow: I wish I had more to say about this place. From the initial observations you would think this place is the best shop in KC with the best artists. I worked with the owner Tyler Moody and I thought it was going to be a great experience. Well it was far from that. Its actually been one of the worst experiences I have had with a tattoo artist. Tyler doesn't really seem to care about his clients or their work he is only in it for the $ and he really isn't worth the $1,000 a session he wants.I started a sleeve with him back in December. In late August I spoke with him about what I wanted and when I came in 4 months later i was lets just say underwhelmed with what he had presented me. He never reached out with his design prior to the day of my tattoo and from his drawing I could tell he didn't really listen to me when i came in back in August. Giving him the benefit of the doubt and confident i wanted a full sleeve from him I went with it hopefull the next session would be better.The actual tattoo was fine. It didn't hurt and he definitely has a soft hand which is great in a Tattoo artist and thats why I am giving him 1 star but he really doesn't deserve any for his ignorance.This is where it really gets annoying. I made my appointment for a second session and had to wait 3 months. I made that appointment December 10th for today March 13th. Tyler texted me last Monday saying heWasnt going to be able to make it and that he has a schedule conflict.Thats fine I said, l tried to reschedule with him for 12 days and he ignored all 13 of my messages I sent in response of his text canceling on me. I had an appointment for 3 months and because he isn't mature enough to schedule his life accordingly. Now I am looking for a new artist to finish my sleeve because Tyler is obviously a waste of space. Dont waste your time or money at his establishment. You will only be taken advantage of, underwhelmed, and your time will be 100% wasted.
