Thats really all I needed to know before even walking into the place.Update: In response to reply. Sent message over a week ago through your website. Filled it out. Gave it days to get a response. Nothing.

The quick witted, mature gentleman (that clearly runs the the business) helped me find the perfect piece in a pinch. I was able to walk out with the glass in hand. He truly saved the day and I can’t thank him and his business enough.

Erin Shipps: Do not use this company. Read other reviews to see how they respond to negative feedback. We had frameless glass installed in our shower, which included going around a bump out on the lower portion of the wall. This bump out has a ledge on top that overhangs 1-1/16". Without our knowledge or permission, this company cut into our ledge to install the glass, even though the instruction was to notch out around the entire thing. When our contractor reached out about the error, he was told the ledge overhang was too large. Once we sent photos with the tape measure showing it was indeed not, the argument became, "this is industry standard." So, I called six other local glass shower door suppliers to verify this "industry standard." Four companies said their standard was to notch around everything, including the ledge. One company said they would go through the ledge, but that a tile installer should do it. The final company said they would recommend going through the ledge, but that they would offer both options because the major con of going through the ledge is that if you want to change it down the road, you can't. This company offered a bandaid fix to take out the glass panel and put white caulking where the ledge was cut and then put the glass back in. There is no guarantee that this will look any better than how it currently looks. And it doesn't solve the real problem that this company ruined a part of our bathroom and is unapologetic about it. In fact, they went so far as to question my contractor's experience when he fairly tried to reason with them. Because nothing is their fault. I requested a refund, minus the cost of labor to install, because I value the fact that they have to pay their workers. This was denied in favor of shoving caulk into the crack. When I said that wasn't good enough, they considered the matter resolved. This practice is not industry standard and bottom line, I should have been able to make the choice for my own bathroom. I would not have chosen to permanently ruin my ledge. Their final communication changed "industry standard" to "our standard practice." Convenient. This company does not care about informing customers about their work prior to damaging your property, or making mistakes right.Editing to add in light of company response:1. All of the information listed in the response about WHY you cut into stone should have been stated to us in the template phase. You fail to see the issue in the lack of education for your customers. And the main issue of allowing the customer to decide which option THEY want.2. When I called other glass companies, I made no mention of your company, nor did I send photos of the shower. I explained the type of wall and overhang and asked what their recommendation would be. Your allegation against me is false.3. You say you spent a lot of time trying to come up with resolutions and yet you offered one. Caulking, which may or may not actually match my ledge. I expected you to be reasonable. I did not expect "a free shower."4. I said nothing in my email to you about templating. That is a lie.Finally, this issue has nothing to do with "your guys" or your opinions. You did not offer any opinions at any stage of this process and you never gave us the chance to make an educated decision for ourselves.

When I answered the phone he said " this is westport glass, what do you want"...Strange way to start a conversation.He asked that I take picture and send it to him and he would give me a price. They blew some insulation in our attic, put some framing around our doors and installed a new bathroom fan. They looked around for possible issues and then tighten stuff up as they repaired other things. I have not made a comment since then because I’ve been waiting to see what happened. Well in the past two weeks we’ve only had to use our air conditioner maybe two or three times and not even for a 24 hour. Probably not even for a 12 hour. That’s how well our house is now insulated. They were incredibly friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and went out of their way to explain everything and help in other areas that they did not have to. I cannot thank these guys enough. And the customer service doesn’t end with the installation; I popped in recently to get a replacement door sweep but didn’t know the size I needed. One of the employees actually dug into a box of invoices from 2013 and found my shower door’s width so I could walk out with the perfect size. (And my shower glass looks as good today as it did ten years ago.)

Pamela Hyde: We requested a bid for a glass stairwell. It took 3 1/2 months to get an estimate. And the estimate came in more than twice the price that we had anticipated. I had to call numerous times to even get the quote. Estimator did not offer to work with us on getting this quote to more reasonable range by a possible redesign of the glass stairwell. I will have to take my business elsewhere.

Shane: Terrible experience. I drove 70 miles one way (with diesel at 4.70 a gallon) for an appointment that was set a few days prior. Over the phone, I was quoted 150 dollars for a reseal on my truck. Assuring me they can do it. They did say there's a small possibility the glass might break during removal, and if it does, it will be 250 dollars. When I arrived, I was immediately told that my truck is old and it will have rust behind the windshield and there's a good possibility that they won't be able to do a reseal. The man hadn't even seen the truck yet. I informed him it was a frame off restoration, and was in great condition. He said he'll look at it and see what he can do. Once in the garage, he went on to tell me that he thought the top was cut off and rewelded due to the overhang not being to his liking. I informed him that wasn't the case. Then continued with his opinion on the design flaw. I was frustrated at this point, due to feeling this man did not want to do the job. He offered a quick patch job on the inside, and when I asked what about the water coming in from the outside and sitting in there, causing that rust he was so worried about prior? He said it doesn't matter now because I probably already had water behind it anyway. Are you kidding me? When I pressed for a reseal, he brought up needing new rubber trim around the windshield. Once again, this truck was restored and the trim was in perfect condition. He said that he'll have to go get some trim while I waited there, "if I wanted him to". I said no, id just like my reseal. Like a used car salesman, he then says, "I'll have to talk it over with her inside", and came back saying that it was going to cost 450 bucks when all was said and done, pressing for the new windshield and trim. I immediately left and told him to keep his estimate. I've come to one of two conclusions, 100% bait and switch, and/or this man didn't want to do the job and made so many excuses that it ran me off. Biswanger, I've used you before, but I won't again.

DeMorris Glasper: I filled out information sheet online and customer service was quick to respond and set me up with a local representative to schedule a front windshield replacement. Staff was very friendly in both cases and answered all my questions. After making an appointment and taking my vehicle to the shop I told it would take approximately an hour and a half. I walked around the area because of social distancing at this time did not allow anyone in the lobby area. My vehicle was done very quickly and a lot shorter than the time that they quoted me. They didn't excellent job and their price is extremely reasonable.I would definitely go back here for future work and recommend this place to anyone!

Only issue we had was reinstallation of toilet onto our concrete floor. However, the other tech rectified the situation. Overall it was a pleasant experience with the desired outcome.

Sue Damitz: I would like to provide feedback on Bath Planet in Lee's Summit MO. I bought a soaking tub, walls, and shower . They did all the work in 2 days, cleaned up all the mess and and fixed a leak I had in the wall ( one of the reasons I wanted to replace old tub with tiles that tended to mold). The system is really nice and super easy to clean. I just use Fantastic or Scrubbing Bubbles and it is clean. NO scrubbing! Yesterday morning at 2 am with no none around, my shower rod fell and broke . We stopped by the office and Brian came by today and installed a new rod. They stand by their work! Did not charge us a dime . Brian installed it and showed my husband how the clamp works if any future adjustment needs to be made. They did not have a replacement rod on hand and they drove to Independence MO to pick up a new one for us. I don't know about you, but I want a business that stands by their work and not walk away once they have your money. I am very happy with Bath Planet. I recommend you talk to them if you are thinking of a new shower or tub. I absolutely love my new soaking tub. My husband loves the shower. He is really tall and our old shower he had to do the limbo rock to get under it. They put the shower in high enough he can take a nice shower without having to hit his head . Check them out. They stand by their product which means a lot ! Thanks guys.

Nesha Smith: Do not get sucked into this scam. They are sent out by home depot if you're looking to remodel in the bathroom. The salesperson makes you feel as though it's a quick easy process where they are going to provide all the work and you just buy their supplies. They installed a tub I never ordered, then when I told the "project manager" it was wrong he asked me what I wanted him to do about it...umm put in the one we ordered on the contract. They put in my brand new vanity and put a hole in it, jacked up the ceiling and walls and didn't fix it, made a hole in the floor removing the old tub and the tub we didn't order and didn't fix it...the project manager just said those are things they couldn't fix even though they created the problem. He eventually got me a new vanity which is scuffed up. Just hire a general contractor, they may sell this on it being easy, quick, and good quality. It is none of those things, do not waste your money!

William Heinen: I would recommend Border for any bathroom remodeling project based our experience with a walk-in shower installation project. Damian and Daniel were very meticulous and professional throughout the project. They arrived on time every day, ready and prepared to work. They demoed a tub area and installed an Onyx walk in shower. They answered all our questions throughout the project, were courteous and attentive to every detail. They cleaned up afterwards and ensured that we were satisfied with their work. One last note- you get what you pay for. This was a very expensive project and we had some misgivings about spending this much money for a shower install but I guess that is the way it is these days.
