Amanda Lor: My shopping experience was amazing! I worked with Vanessa (who I don't think is there anymore) and she was so helpful. I was torn between 2 different dresses and she asked me all the right questions, brought me back down to earth, and helped me make my decision. We tried on a total of 6 dresses before I found the one.The ordering part was a headache. My dress was suppose to arrive 6 months after I ordered it. When 6 months passed, I didn't hear anything. I called, emailed, and left voice messages. It wasn't after my 20th call that Hannah finally responded to me through an email saying that my dress had been delayed due to manufacturing issues and would take another month to arrive. Same thing happened after a month passed by. I had to spam their phone/emails.I wasn't upset that my dress was delayed because that was not in anyone's control. I was upset due to the lack of communication. When my dress finally arrived, I took it home with me and didn't even want to do alterations with them due to the lack of communication and how hard it was to get ahold of anyone there.

Mikaelee worked hard to find the perfect dress during my first appointment and I could tell she loves what she does! Sharon helped me during my second appointment to try on the dress I found the first time, but also showed me a few other dresses to help me realize I truly did find the ONE and didn't need to look any further. They both were incredibly kind and helpful. Such a wonderful experience!

Jamie Lauritzen: After placing my order and having it confirmed both via email and my phone, I had to make multiple calls to follow up on the delays in confirmation and shipping. I was only able to reach a human being one time and she indicated I would have the shipping information within a few days I’ve been called back again this week and instead of a call back, I received an email that my order was canceled and no longer available.

Prior to the appointment they will reach out to get a feel of what kind of dress you are looking for. Angela even had 4 dresses pulled for me before I even arrived! As a mid-size gal I felt so confident and cared for in this store compared to other stores. They had a wide variety of sizes and fits and did a great job of adjusting the dress to your body shape if the sample size was off, which it more than likely will be! This was the first store I went to that I fell in love with multiple dresses and eventually narrowed it down to my number one. They take great care of you and your guests. Love this store!

Natalie Rabbass: I had a nice experience at Fabulous Frocks. My dress was absolutely beautiful! I had been to 6 other stores before Fabulous Frocks and just hadn't found "the one" yet. So I was relieved to have finally found my dress!The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I was told if I bought my dress that day I would get $100 off. My mom and I went to go get lunch and think on it a little. When I returned to the store the same day (less than 2 hours later) I was told that deal was only if I purchased my dress during my appointment. I felt like that specification wasn't communicated well and truthfully every time I think about my dress shopping experience I think of that moment and how frustrating it was.Nevertheless, I still bought my dress and felt gorgeous the day of my wedding. I recommend shopping at Fabulous Frocks just be sure to clarify any deals/specials.

I visited this boutique 3 separate times, it was the first bridal salon I visited after getting engaged and found a dress I loved but was nervous about saying yes without my mom and without seeing more so I left without the dress. Ended up purchasing a dress at another salon out-of-state and had delays so I went back to try the same dress on but ended up getting the dress in on time. Could not get the first dress out of my mind so went back about a month before my wedding and purchased the dress off the rack. Thank god they offer the ready to wed dresses. Dress was in amazing condition and just happened to be my size, minimal alterations needed. Thank you Angela and the other consultants that dealt with my multiple appointments that led to me getting a second dress at an amazing price. Can't wait to get married in less than a month.

The style of dress that I originally pictured for myself didn't feel quite right when I put it on and my whole attitude completely changed when I put on the style Addie suggested. Addie was amazing at making me feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. I'm a very indecisive person and struggle with overthinking but not once did she ever make me feel rushed to make a decision or push me to do anything I don't want to do. She was so incredibly kind and patient. She asked all the right questions and made the right suggestions to put my mind at complete ease when I was panicking about which dress to choose and her insight ultimately helped me realize which dress was going to be mine. Ashley Ybanez: I went to fabulous frocks while I was visiting my friend for thanksgiving and my mom came in fromAZ I’m from Pittsburgh. My friend found it and I wanted to dress shop with my mom and matron of honor and was hoping to find something. Addie was amazing and had dresses already picked for me waiting that fit what i told her I was looking for. As soon as I walked in the dressing room I seen “my dress” I was in love. I tried some on first then that dress and knew it was it. Tried on a couple more and nothing compared. After searching and searching for a store with options in my limited price range, I found this place. I had never heard of it before but the more reviews I read the more excited I got. I called to set up and appointment and Addie, who was with me every step of this process, and was so kind and genuine. I am a young bride so I have encountered a lot of shocked or judge mental people, but all the girls here made me feel like the most beautiful bride ever. They went above and beyond to remember personal details about me in order to make connections and make me feel comfortable like I was just shopping with my girlfriends. Katie Baer: I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at True Society by Belle Vogue! After an unpleasant experience with pushy, high-pressure sales at Something White earlier in the day, I walked into True Society a couple hours later and it was a night-and-day difference instantly. My stylist, Morgan Tribley, made the whole experience SO incredibly fun! She was so down-to-earth, funny, patient, attuned to my likes & dislikes, and ultimately she found me my dream wedding dress. There was no pressure by anyone in the shop to make a decision that day, but I was totally sold. Not only were they AWESOME to me, but they were AWESOME to my guests as well, comfortably accommodating all of them and offering drinks. Victoria Patrick: I had a great experience at True Society in Kansas City! Megan took great care of me, my friends and family. I brought my whole crew and we had an amazing time. They have lots of designers and dress styles to choose from. Amber Shuster: Savvy KC was probably the best experience I had shopping. The shop was great, I didn’t feel pressured, and she only pulled dresses in my price range. My stylist was very genuine and helpful. Although I didn’t get my dress here, I really loved everything I tried on.

Mary Bain: I’m so glad I chose to go to Savvy for my wedding dress. I had been to one other place, and had started my dress shopping experience with low expectations, thinking I’d never find a dress that I just loved, especially with a lower budget, but I found the perfect dress at Savvy. Chloe listened to what I wanted, and didn’t bring in a single dress I didn’t like. She made suggestions on how things could be altered to give me what I was looking for when I wasn’t falling in love with any of them, then brought in the exact perfect dress! The second I tried it on I knew it was perfect, and my mom and friend both said they knew it was the one based on the look on my face. I could not stop smiling the rest of the day, and can’t wait for my wedding day so I can wear it, and to see the look on my husband-to-bed’s face! I can’t recommend Savvy enough to any bride looking for their dream dress. If they had something for this girl who is picky beyond belief and never wears dresses or likes how she looks in clothes, they must have something for everyone! If you’re even remotely thinking of making an appointment here - DO IT! You will not be disappointed!

Katie Baer: When I imagined how fun and memorable wedding dress shopping would be, I did not imagine feeling the way I felt at Something White. This was the first bridal shop I went to and I walked in so incredibly excited and so in awe of all the gorgeous dresses. I was asked about the budget I was comfortable with from the beginning (in front of my guests which I felt would've been handled better privately in a pre-appointment phone call or email). When I was pre-shopping, I had my eye on a specific Madi Lane dress which had not yet arrived at Something White but is definitely a designer they carry. I fully expected that they would be willing to order it for me without a hassle, but I was informed that it would be a $150-200 shipping cost which would not be reimbursed to me if I didn't purchase the dress. They were not remotely interested in helping to obtain this dress.After trying on a few different dresses, I was 99% sold on one dress. I let my bridal stylist know that I had a True Society appointment scheduled for later in the day, so there was a chance that I would come back and buy the dress after comparing it with a few others. The appointment suddenly became very awkward and it was clear that my stylist was NOT okay with this - I was interrogated multiple times about why I felt the need to go to another bridal shop. I was informed that if I bought the dress right then and there, that I would get a $200 discount but then lose the discount if I bought it later. It also was not revealed to me until after it was clear I was sold on the dress that it was actually $600 over the budget discussed. I ended up stressed out trying to make a decision on the spot, and I was very uncomfortable having to repeatedly justify why I wanted to try more dresses elsewhere. Many people try different dresses at different places because it's a huge purchase and huge decision, and I felt like it was handled very poorly and cruel on Something White's part. No bride should be made to feel the way I felt. I easily could have returned to buy that dress I loved, but their business tactics turned me off completely and I ended up finding an even better dress at True Society.

Ashlyn Rogers: I had the pleasure of going into something white bridal boutique this past weekend with all my girls and we had the best time! I was able to feel relaxed and had so much fun trying on all the dresses that I had pinned on my pinterest page, along with a few that our helper picked out (I do not remember her name). I found the dress that I am going to wear on my special day and will always recommend Something white for my friends to go to for their special day!

Marnie Dodson: We had a mostly good experience at Something White last weekend until the end of our appointment. They knew we had a second appointment that day and people who flew from the East coast for a day of trying on dresses. We found a dress we liked but the bride wanted to try more. The salesperson went in for the hard sale and made the bride feel so bad that we ultimately agreed to pay a non-refundable $50 fee to come back later in the day if we didn’t find a dress we liked better. Basically we paid $50 just to get out of that environment. Our sales person was not that experienced so maybe others were better. Found the staff, environment, dresses, and sales tactics much better at True Society. I also appreciated how True Society discussed price point away from the group with just the bride. She was really embarrassed when the Something White sales person discussed it in front of all of us.

I had previously found a dress at another boutique that I loved and she was so supportive and understanding throughout the whole process. If you are a new bride to be, 100% check out something white and work with Amber!:)

Joanna Sullivan: When SWBB emailed to say my dress had arrived (15 days earlier than officially planned, and 2 1/2 months earlier than they told me it might be, which I thought was great at first), I scheduled my appointment to pick up my dress (for which I had already paid the entire balance) within the 30-day window specified by their contract. That was difficult enough for me because of the demands placed on my schedule by my mom's cancer treatment. But I know it was in the contract, and I was able to book one of the *three* appointments per week that are available outside of traditional M-F 9-5 business hours [I still think it’s three although I should add that in her shockingly rude reply to this review on Yelp, the manager insisted it was seven.] I promise, I am a rule follower and a people-pleaser (I also tipped my bridal consultant $300 because their card machine prompted me to do so and I didn’t know if it was standard - I don't want conflict)!Then another family member passed away after a stroke, and the funeral was scheduled for the day of my appointment (though it was quite far in advance by normal funeral standards). I informed SWBB two weeks in advance and rescheduled my appointment for the next Saturday appointment available, which was 9 days outside of the 30-day window. Again, I assure you that I understand the text of the policy. However, the primary reason that I bought my dress from SWBB, rather than another area store that carried the same dress, was because I liked that it was locally-owned and I thought it would be an authentic, relationship-based sale.When I picked up my dress, I explained my situation to the manager, because I was hoping we might be able to compromise and maybe they would be willing to charge me $150 or something, not the entire $300. I also felt compelled to do this because twice, the shop had contacted me and requested if I could come in earlier in the day to accommodate their schedule better (I agreed the first time, because I could.) It just kind of rubbed me the wrong way that they were so willing to ask me to reschedule but so intolerant of my genuine need to reschedule.After I explained my situation (calmly and rather quietly, because I was so nervous), the manager (who happened to have been the consultant whom I had tipped $300) responded "We have to enforce these policies the same for everyone so we aren't put in the situation where we have to decide whose excuse matters."I was genuinely surprised at that statement and the way they were digging their heels in and I said so. Finally, the manager said “That was me that you tipped and if it will put an end to this whole thing and all your confusion and feelings so you leave, I can try to give the tip ‘back’ to the business for that fee, let me call the owner.” She went to the back, called the owner (to whom I think she is related, which might explain a lot) and came back and said (with the chirpiest fake voice and smile we had ever heard): “Yeah so I’m going to have to figure that out but before I do that, I’m going to go ahead and cancel your veil purchase because we cannot trust that you won’t misunderstand our policies and get your own feelings hurt again.”I had been really nervous to say anything but my fiancé had coached me about how to bring it up and to remain calm and respectful. If it were just me, I probably would have sucked it up because I didn't want to make a fuss and also ruin the feelings of what was a really exciting day! However, now I am sharing this to hopefully prevent others from finding themselves in this position.They did everything *technically* right (by their own rules, but I did agree to them when I bought my dress), they simply lack any sort of heart, which I believe should be considered when selecting wedding vendors. On a purely human level, I just think future brides would be better off elsewhere.P.S. I posted this on The Knot but I have since learned that they allow vendors to pay to have negative reviews removed.

Kyla Mitchell: I loved my time at Something White! The girls who work there are so patient and only care about you finding your perfect dress. I usually don't love trying on clothes, but they made it fun and are completely on your team if you like or don't like something. They've been super communicative since I found the dress as well! I can't wait to see it when it comes in! :)

Brittany Kendall: I found the most perfect dress from this boutique! I had already been shopping at 2 other places that day, and 4 total places before coming to Something White. I wanted something different, but not something crazy. My mom (who is a huge crier) did not cry over any of the other dresses that day. I was beginning to think I would have to pick one without her tears. When I walked out in my first dress at Something White, my mom gasped and instantly cried. Although I still tried on others, the first dress was THE dress. Carly, my consultant, was great at making sure I decided if I liked or didn't like the dress, as I heavily rely on the opinions of others and always wanted my entourage to tell me what they thought. But she also gave me her opinion when we had narrowed it down to two dresses, because it was important to me to find a dress that looked the absolute best on me from all eyes. Also, I have a feeding tube that leaks alot, and she gave me a piece of fabric when I mentioned being super worried about getting anything on the dresses (i had brought multiple towels of my own, but I underestimated how bad it was going to leak by the third appt of the day). She made me feel quite comfortable and was very friendly and personable. The only reason that i am not giving a perfect 5 stars is because Carly handed us the champagne and letter board stating that I found my gown, but she walked away right after and did not offer to take all of our picture with the board, which I would have absolutely loved. I did not want to walk over and ask her as I am a little shy and did not want to bother her as she was behind the desk. Especially because we were the only ones there at the time. I definitely found the perfect gown though. One that was modern and beautiful but different than ones I saw everywhere else.

Kelly Warford: I was super impressed with my experience at Something White Bridal Boutique. Carly was amazing and made sure my appointment felt personalized to my group and I. She was constantly asking questions and trying to get a feel of what I was looking for in my dress. If you are more introverted and would prefer a more quite shop I would recommend going in the middle of the week. My group and I went on both a Wednesday and a Saturday and the shop was definitely more busy on Saturday. However, it was nothing too crazy that my group and I couldn't handle. The shop has dresses that fit in every price range and I never felt pressured to step out of my comfort zone. Overall I will highly recommend SWBB to all of my friends and family getting married in the future as it was the best experience I had while shopping for my wedding dress!

It was strapless and my daughter said she really didn't want a strapless gown so the owner picked out a few more. She helped my daughter try on the strapless gown first. It fit her perfectly. No alterations needed. And she looks beautiful. Needless to say, she didn't need to try on anything else. And the veil and belt were perfect accessories. It's by appointment only, but if you are looking, check this place out. Prices are reasonable too.

Mr&Mrs Wolfe: Oh my God… I can’t believe I actually found a wedding dress!Having been a bridal stylist & being the General manager of a local mother of the bride/groom dress store while sewing my own clothes since the 4th grade; made this decision HARD! I became obsessed & overly picky, falling in love with $12k dresses (wayyyy outside the budget) & still wanting things added or changed. I feel like when you’ve seen it all… you crave something different. I’ve learned what proportions look best, the fabrics I’m drawn to, the bodice styles, trains, glitter types, the difference boning makes & I wasn’t gonna settle for less 😅I went to True Society, David’s Bridal, The One Bridal, Gown Gallery, Urban Bridal, Emily Heart, J.Lynn Bridal, Fabulous Frocks, & High Vibe. But my mom only cried when I walked out in one at Ricca Sposa. Still nothing quite compared to a dress I found on Pinterest but couldn’t try on. The dress was made Ukraine. my Ukrainian ancestors were showing me some inconvenient love. I’m listening, time to support Ukraine. 🇺🇦 💪🏼 I called stores all over the US. it was a 2023 collection that is just making its debut. Keep in mind I was shopping in 2022. 80% of stores said since the war they didn’t want to rely on that designer getting the dresses in. Okay but wait… isn’t the owner of Ricca Sposa from Ukraine!?! Yes! 🙌 So we called back Ricca Sposa! She was able to get me the dress! She beat the prices of all the other states too. Ricca Sposa in Kansas City has a great reputation, they were referred to me by my fiancés cousin & she said they really went above & beyond for her. (her dress was absolutely stunning) Ricca Sposa did not disappoint. The owner did EVERYTHING to make it happen. She even went out of her way to get the contract to work with that designer. Between countless back & forward emails, she got me the dream dress & all that comes with it, she made it within my budget!!! time frame!! & more! I am so thankful & grateful to RICCA SPOSA bridal boutique for making it all possible. I will forever recommend your store as THE store to visit if anyone is ever looking for a wedding dress!

Ashley Hunter: Lucia and Karina helped me find my dream dress back in April of 2022. They picked out several gorgeous gowns until I found THE one! I wasn't ready to commit to the dress that day and they didn't try to push me into making a decision before I left. I came back the following week, tried the dress on again and knew it was the one. Lucia took down all my measurements and made sure to ask what length I wanted and if there were any special customizations I wanted. She walked me through the process of ordering the gown and it being custom made by the designer. She was very thorough and detailed throughout the process. When I received the gown in December it was PERFECT! It fit like a glove, came with my customizations, and was perfect. The week of my wedding, we made a last minute appointment to get my dress steamed and Lucia was able to squeeze us in. My dress and experience at RICCA SPOSA was better than I could have ever imagined!

I loved being able to hand pick out what dresses I wanted to try on but they were also great and spot on with suggestions. I would have never tried on what I purchased had Lucia not suggested I try it! I also really liked that the entire store was private to just my group...It's a great, no pressure atmosphere for finding your dress!When I picked my dress, I had several family members that couldn't be there so Lucia even helped arrange a time for me to be able to come in and try it on for them after a work day.It took about 6 months for my dress to come in and when it did, Lucia handled all of the alterations needed and she did an amazing job with them...including the stunning way of bustling it that she added! I couldn't be happier with my experience and I can't wait to wear my dress in just a couple of weeks. And I also purchased my beautiful veil from here!

Cat W: I always manage to spend a minimum of fifty dollars in here, which is a feat when you're a size 20-22 in a vintage shop--and it's rarely just accessories. They carry a good range of sizes in both genuine vintage and vintage-inspired clothing. Prices on the newer stuff can be a bit high, but it's understandable given they have to make a profit, and the pieces they carry are really good quality that fit well and look incredible, not cheap fast fashion. I spent $90 on a dress last time I was there and I'm not even mad about it. It's always possible to find plenty of good stuff on clearance or in the vintage racks for much lower price points, though.The staff are great, super helpful and kind. I believe it was the owner who even modified a choker for me when I stepped in to do some shopping before my vacation, right when they were closing and at no extra charge. Every part of the experience at this place makes you feel so special, from the clothes to the service and the gift paper they use to wrap the dresses. Any other second-hand store just leaves me wishing I'd gone to Donna's.

They are amazing at letting you develop your own thoughts and opinions but also give advice when asked. They were able to pull additional dresses off of what I had tried on and liked etc and the dress I selected was not one I think I would have picked myself. Laura and Rachel were amazing to work with ! Highly recommend!

Elaine Barella: There is no salon in KC like bride. Throughout my try on session with Laura, I felt nervous but she made me feel listened to and confident. She was so knowledgeable and personal, I knew I was walking out with “The One” because I trusted her so much. My husband surprised me with Roses and the room had them ready to go for me to enjoy as soon as I walked in. Of course I found my dress, Viv from Sarah Seven, a dress I definitely did not anticipate but I felt so beautiful and feminine in. For all my friends, I keep saying there is no other choice than bride. In Kansas City!

From the initial meeting, to trying on a variety of the styles they carry, and then flip flopping back and forth trying to decide. I went to try on during a Made With Love trunk show and wound up torn between their Lottie and Andy - two totally different silhouettes and vibes! I never felt rushed or pressured and Rachel gave all the best opinions! She even took a full 360 video to give me a view from all angles. I ended up going with the Andy and the MWL Holly veil - the whole look was perfect! I never even wanted to look anywhere else and would recommend these girls to any bride searching for a stunning gown!

Stephanie Heese (Stephanie Nachtab): This is hands down the best bridal shop in the entire state of Missouri (I would go as far as to also even say the entire Midwest). I’ve always loved Bride KC- and because I was aware of my biased towards them I even went to three bridal shops before shopping with their team. But let me tell you, their customer service, dresses, and experience blow every other shop out of the water. Now if you are reading this I’m sure you’re like “okay we get it- you love Bride KC” but it really goes beyond just the shop itself. When I thought I found “the one” the owner, Laura, took one look at my face and encouraged me to go home and think about it, and that I could always come back in a few days to re try the two dresses I was thinking about on. You read that right. They literally encouraged me to LEAVE THEIR SHOP to go home and think about this huge decision. Laura’s words were: “ I just want to feel your best and to be happy and 10000000% confident in your choice with us, or somewhere else.” They really get it you guys. They understand that buying a wedding dress is a huge deal and they understand it’s an investment. They also understand that brides have other shops to consider and that is INSANE to me. I felt cared for, seen, and heard. All of the things I have always dreamed of feeling from a wedding vendor. Bride KC is it, and I couldn’t recommend them more. I hope you get the chance to experience what I did and that you too can walk away feeling like the magnificent bad B that you are.

Joy Brady: I was so nervous about dress shopping in the middle of a pandemic and about having to do so without my mom and sister there, but Rachel made sure I was SO comfortable and was incredibly patient with me while I Facetimed my family. I went into the appointment expecting to leave feeling disappointed, but Rachel and the rest of the team at Bride made the day so special and I really had an amazing time. The staff was amazing about giving me honest feedback that really helped me feel confident in my final decision, and didn't make me feel rushed or pressured at all. I had another appointment afterwards that I ended up cancelling because I felt so sure about the dress they helped me find. I truly do not think I could have had a better experience elsewhere.

Rebecca Sawyer: Bride.KC has an amazing selection of dresses. My daughter and I both found our dresses there. She did a very boho chic Rue dress, and I chose a sleek classic Sarah Seven Viv dress. The boutique experience is very nice too, and the girls there are wonderful at listening and helping pick the dress for your vision.

Daedra Lynn: I got the dress of my dreams at Bride!!! The shop is just absolutely adorable. And Bride has the best selection of dresses. I am a wedding photographer and am doing my vow renewal, and THEE DRESS was super important to me. Bride is one of the only locations near me that carries Rue De Seine and the quality of the gowns is absolutely amazing!! Rachel was so kind and made me feel amazing! She convinced me to try a gown that I was for sure wouldn't look great on me....and I was wrong! Rachel knows her stuff and is incredibly helpful! If your shopping for THE DRESS, definitely put Bride on your list of boutiques to shop in!!!

Addysen Stone: i’m blown away! bride. exceeded all of my expectations when it came to finding THE dress. every single dress i tried on- kept getting better & better. when i finally narrowed it down to two dresses, LAURA had me go back & forth until it finally hit me. i had “the moment” that allll brides chase. laura smiled with us, cried with us, stayed an hour longer than she was supposed to, just so i could have that moment. she was my #1 hype girl, made me feel so comfortable, & knew EXACTLY what to say & what advice to give. unlike my other try-on experiences, she never pressured me into saying yes or was put off by my indecisiveness. i walked out of that store knowing she was ~heaven-sent~ to help me find the one. what an amazing experience. 100000 stars - so incredibly lucky to be a bride.kc bride! ❤️

The customer service, the team, and the overall experience was reason enough to travel from IN to KC to find the dress of my BOHO dreams. Leah Chrisman: First, I would like to apologize to all the brides looking for a dress that I was not able to post this sooner. I was heartbroken after picking up my dress in November from Bride. and it has been very difficult for me to put my experience into words. After a lot of thinking, I decided that I would list a couple of points that I would like brides planning to shop at Bride. to know.1. You will be treated like a princess until you order your dress and pay them a tip. Then YOU will have to go out of your way to pick up your dress. Especially if you are from out of town.2. When you order your dress, you are signing a contract agreeing to the measurement that they take.3. If the dress comes in too small, Bride. WILL NOT help you. You will be stuck with a dress that does not fit.4. Plan to pay a significant amount for alterations even after being measured by a professional and paying extra for a split-sized dress.The dress that I ordered from Bride. was not able to be fixed. I do not live in KC so I went to another alteration professional that I have successfully used for years. She was not able to get the dress to fit me and I was forced to buy another dress.I do not and will not recommend Bride. I think they have a good selection of simple bridal gowns in the KC area, but if you choose to buy your dress here you need to be aware of what your experience could be.
