Sarah Lynn: The manager Brooke helped with our main lady Kelsey today. They were super understanding and extremely helpful. First time ever getting a puppy here and we left with our forever friend! We actually left the Lee summit location from being treated poorly and had 100% better experience here and changed my view on Petland! These 2 ladies went above and beyond. Kelsey being new was very honest on what she was learning on, what she knew and not knew 100% and gave us the best experience with switching out so many puppies and making sure we got 100% what we needed. I will definitely be back and definitely recommend this location to all my friends.
Timber Pong: Nice little facility. Had a lot of varieties of puppies. But they are still suffering from the shipping problems. They barely had anything on the shelves due to this.

MinorMischief: The other evening we went to look a puppies. We get there and the door is locked and we can see the woman inside closing. The problem is that it was 30min until close (which is 9pm). So who knows how long beforehand she had actually started closing down as we never saw her come to the door and lock it. She saw us standing out there too and had a dumbfounded look as if she couldn’t believe people were there....

Kim V: Please do not buy puppies from Petland. They buy sick puppies from puppy mills and the Campylobacter infections that resulted in dozens of people becoming so ill that they required hospitalization. This infection is antibiotic resistant and people die. Please stop getting puppies here. Always meet a puppy's mom, at the place they were born. Stop believing the statement the breeder is USDA, go to the USDA website and look up the licensed breeders, USDA has the worse breeders in the country.
Kristin Kandt: Just went there and was disappointed in the selection. This is really a place for dog afficionados - which is fine - I just have a cat whom I dearly love. Not much for cats and no fish stuf, which I am thinking of adding. Dog owners - this is for you. Nice staff. Nice and clean - just don't have what I need.

Kim Rausch: I went into this store to buy toys for my new (adopted) cat. I cannot believe that there are pet stores still selling puppies in this day and age. I had to ask if they were up for adoption because i just couldn't believe it. Reading through the reviews about sick dogs, I notice that the establishment only responds to positive reviews and not to negative. This indicates an uncaring, untrustworthy attitude. Don't shop, adopt!

Adam White: My family and I played and purchased a sweetheart of a puppy! French bulldog named Wonton! He has been such a good puppy and a great addition to our family ever since our English Bulldog of 10 years had to be put down! Petland has been great to us, and Elvis and staff at the North KC location were fantastic to work with and helping us bring our little boy home! He's been through 1 vet visit and he checked out completely healthy!

Owen: Miles of Exotics is a pretty cool pet store that sells all kinds of things for taking care of reptiles, amphibians, snakes, arachnids, fish, rodents, rabbits, cats, and dogs. They have a very big selection of fish, rabbits, and snakes. They also have a couple of store pets which are really cool to take a look at sometimes, such as some huge fish and a couple of huge snakes.The customer service here was very helpful and polite and I'd recommend this place over big brand pet stores .

MS Betrayed: I love that this store is family owned, and the staff are always available to answer your questions. What I don't like is the fish guarantee. 48 hours, and you have to bring in a water sample. If your water fails the test, you are not provided with a replacement. Fish can die from other reasons. From experience, I have had water that was not perfect for weeks, and my fish are fine. Because of the warranty on fish, I purchase my fish from the bigger retailers. I have brought deceased fish and a water sample in by my choice. If the water is high in ammonia or anything else, my fish is replaced. Iam then advised how to correct the issue. This usually ends up with me buying what I need to correct the issue. That purchase always costs more than a fish replacement. I would definitely give this establishment a five-star rating if the warranty was different.

They are all so friendly and so knowledgeable on the livestock and supplies they carry!I only ever stick to the aquatic section. Jerry, and the fellow aquarists, are so great to talk to! They’ll give you great recommendations and opinions on various fish keeping practices. If you catch something on sale, just know you’re about to get a fantastic deal! I’ve bought a good 90% of all my supplies/livestock/plants from here and have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.If you’re looking to add some new uncommon and rare pets into your life, look no further than Miles of Exotics! I guarantee they have what you need!

Rachel Gambrell: Been coming here since I was 5 years old, I’m now 23 and bring my children up to see the big pythons in the back and for their hamsters or bunnies. They’ve always had the nicest animals since I can remember, since they get regularly handled. The staff is there for any help you need, and always polite. Love this store, will always go here, and recommend to others. Even if you don’t find what it is you’re looking for, the reptile room is worth stopping in and seeing!

Sandy Lund: I was shocked at the appearance. The grounds are totally unkempt and the place is rundown. I don’t normally groom here since it’s far from my house but I was taking someone home in this area so set the appt here. I get a VM from a very stressed out Rebecca asking if I can come in earlier. I oblige and come in early. Upon arriving Rebecca asks why my dog is listed as mixed breed, well my dog is a mixed breed and since they only had one option for bernedoodle which is standard I chose the mixed breed, medium size dog, which is exactly what my dog is and what Independence Petco told me to do since my mini bernedoodles are not large dogs. They are under 50. His mother is a bernedoodle and his father a moyen poodle. The dad under 20 and the mom under 40. My Kodah is 35- 40lbs at most. She said she needs to be paid her worth and she is charging 83 when it’s suppose to be 59. They refused the appointment unless I paid their price and told me to go to the Independence store to get my dogs hair cut (really at a moments notice? and after driving all the way there?) where my normal groomer, Sarah, charges 59. I don’t know how people blatantly lie. I think Covid killed customer service.

Mind u I did ask them several times how long it was going to be and I was ignored each time. I will be contacting corporate because this visit was outrageous, they expect me to pay $75 for my DOG TO STAY IN A Kennel FOR 4 hours also there was no other dogs AT ALL!!!!!!!

Forrest Clopton: We LOVE this place. The only draw back is the lack of real grass. My dog loves the coolness of stretching out in grass and there is none here, everything is gravel or turf.My dog also likes playing rough with bigger dogs. He has a hard time doing that here because the employees are so on top of their game they “rescue” my little guy before he even gets the chance to play rough.There is the occasional dog owner that gets over dramatic but you’ll find that at most dog parks. Just part of the territory.The food here is good too. However, we tried ordering a side of waffle fries with beer cheese for dipping and was told if we wanted to do this it would be about $20 because of the way the employee had to place the order in the system. This made no sense to me. So we decided to pass.Their hamburgers are fresh and taste homemade.Their member perks are great too. We went a couple Mondays back to find they had the summer menu out for members to try for free. Which was amazing.
Eric Eggers: Food quality was good but a bit expensive, plus cover charge per pet a bit high though humans are free to enter which is nice. Cocktails good and goos pricing. Ran into a themed day for greyhound meet-up which was also awesome.

Much better FREE dog parks in the area that are not cash grabs and you won’t have to worry about managers saying derogatory things about their people and your pups. We miss Jade, Bar K was at its peak when she was around.

Kara Houck: I have purchased from this exact location last month in February as well as their online pharmacy using a prescription from Petco, because the local Petco doesn't carry any prescription food. However, for some reason suddenly today when I went in, they've changed their policy? 🤷♀️ The cashier was extremely dismissive and seemed to have the mindset of "oh well, don't care". I'm normally the anti-karen. But I don't understand why I've been able to before, but not today. It sucks that I will have to stop shopping here now if they won't sell me the product I need.
Adam Houck: We've purchased prescription food from this location multiple times in the past; however we were rudely rejected by the cashier today as they've suddenly changed policy to only sell prescription food if it's prescribed through their pharmacy.Cashier was dismissive with other customers and doing everything possible to push them off on somebody else. Will not be returning to this location.

Rachel: They have a fishtank but they don't sell certain parts for it. You can't even order them online. You gave to rig it up or take a chance and buy stuff in hopes that it works.

Even was introduced to the cricket keeper to assist with keeping extra little devils on hand for the next feeding. Her name is Lela she is always smiling,extea pleasent to deal with as well as knowledgeable she runs a tight ship and is very easy on the eyes. So if you want great service that is above and beyond. Try the petco co on noland road these ladies have vision flair and know what custmer service is all about. Thank you one and all

R L: Great service! I had a 125 lb dog needing a harness. The girl working the register took the time to find the right size, put it on and adjust it, etc. It was better service than you ever get most places anymore. I wish I had made note of her name. She was very personable and reflected well for Petco.
