Swope Memorial Golf Course: what do users think?
Jackson Staszak: Solid average public course but if u are walking, never get the push carts, they are awful.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …More
Dale Vestal: Swope Memorial is a cool golf course with a great staff! We had a 144 player tournament, and it was smooth sailing the entire day! Golf carts are equipped with USB ports as well. Give this course a try!Visited on Weekday …More
William Young: Very relaxing placeVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Price for adult entry Free …More
Austin Bailey: Played Swope Memorial this past week with a buddy during a trip to KC.The positives: Unique course with a cool history (there is a picture inside of Walt Disney playing), great views, well maintained, nice selection of drinks/snacks at the clubhouse. The negatives: Pace of play was the primary drawback. We arrived 30 minutes prior to our tee time but the tee box was so backed up we went off 20 minutes late. From there we were waiting on just about every hole and the round took close to 5 hours. It seems that the rough being fairly thick (making it sometimes difficult to find wayward tee shots) and greens rolling so fast (with tough pin locations) likely contributed. Also didn't see a refreshment cart all round and there is no driving range on site (however this is one nearby).Overall I'd recommend Swope Memorial but leave yourself some extra time, I was surprised how backed it up it was on a weekday afternoon.
Lakeisha Johnson: I have never been to this place and I received alerts for cash app purchase there 4/19/2023 @ 2:00am…. I Guess someone is scamming!! And knows that they will get away with it here. So I am giving 1 ⭐️
Bruce Collinsworth: It's in very good condition especially considering the lack of rain. Great course that stands the test of time.
Jesse Rocha: One of KC's finest golf courses. Challenge for golfers of all skills ! Beautiful views of downtown skyline.
Augster O: An awesome Tillinghast course right in the city. It’s a smaller course because of it’s age and design, but it’s a really cool layout. Very good, and memorable, holes that will make you want to play it again and again.Greens were great. No houses on the course. The ONLY negative is that it is a hilly course. If you’re going to take a cart, no problem. If you walk it, you’ve been warned. All the holes are named. I think Tillinghast does this for all his designs. We played 7 rounds in KC, and this was the only course we played twice. It’s so original, and fun, I could play it again and again and not get bored. The parking is really weird and there isn’t much of it, but other than that, great Course, great location, great layout. We walked and got around in about 3:45 on a busy day.I’ll definitely be playing Swope the next time I’m in KC!
eric christensen: This place could be a private club!
Benjie Lewis: One of KC's best courses. Tillinghast design. 100+ years old. Doesn't get much better. Fun for scratch golfers and guys that shoot 105+
Kyle Mead: This is a fun and challenging public course. Great staff and atmosphere. Do not over look Swope Memorial Golf Course.
nathaniel lewis: Nice course. Very challenging. Plus, plenty of room to hit. Also, the greens were in decent condition.
Mary Ann Hall: We played in a tournament at Swope Memorial yesterday. The staff was absolutely great, from food and beverage to the marshalls. So friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our day!
John Rosa: Very hilly course; making it the most difficult I've played. Staff required us to play in groups of four and the course marshal could've been nicer. Otherwise, an enjoyable golf course.
InfiNiteDraUght: Looking forward to a relaxing day at the course with an early tee time. It was my first time here and overall it was a nice course, pretty decent shape overall and a challenge to play. However, at hole 9 we were visited by the marshal who was not very pleasant to be quite honest, shaking his head and telling us to move along as we were holding up play etc. We were already playing best ball and there was a group in front of us we were waiting on. I didn’t think our pace, nor the groups in front of us was overly slow. We finished 18 holes in 3.5 hours. At any rate, after being visited by the marshal on three occasions (while people are directly in front of us on the fairway) and telling us to move along, it made us just want to leave. Will not be back. Unfortunate.
Scott Coble: Great public course. No outside alcohol is allowed, and you can’t bring coolers with you. The tee boxes were a little sandy, but that’s understandable when it’s 100 degrees out in July. Greens were maintained pretty well. Even with all that said, this is much better than sitting in an office all day. Would golf here again.
Brian Yoksh: Course was in really good condition. It's hilly and challenging and a relatively narrow course.
Nik Rule: Historic and fun. This course is a blast from the past, in excellent shape and feels very prestigious when you show up.
Dave HARPER: Great muni, lot of history at this course
Steve Beene: Played on a hot July day and the course was in great shape and all the staff acted like they enjoyed being there. Fun course.
Nick Raya: We've golfed here before and enjoyed our time. The guy working the shop was great. The marshal at hole one, not so much. Got angry when we pulled up in our carts 8 minutes before our tee time. Yelled out he was looking for our party, I replied, right here, have a guy going in to buy something. To which he said, you need to get up there and go. I told him we still had 7 minutes until our scheduled tee time and we'll start then. He said that if we didn't get up there he was going to let the two groups behind us go, who were on the practice green. Told them to get up and go, one of them told him their tee time wasn't for about another 15 minutes and they'll start then. We hit the box a couple minutes before our tee time and still waited on every hole for the groups backed up in front of us (which is not a problem, people golf at a wide variety of paces). The fairways and greens were in good shape. The tee boxes were horrendous. Overheard a couple of groups we were near say something along the lines of, this is what you get for $55? I've enjoyed this course in the past but after today, we won't be going there again. The marshal was extremely unpleasant. We're paying you to enjoy your course. Starting off having to interact with that specific marshal? Great way to start your morning.

The University of Kansas Hospital: what do users think?
Barb: I have been coming to KU Med center for 20 years now. I have had nothing but great experiences when I come. I would recommend this hospital to anyone that needs, not only specialist but for regular check ups. The doctors always seem to listen attentively and show compassion. It's a very clean hospital, too. I would definitely recommend this place for all your health care needs. They also offer financial aid for those who don't have insurance, as I have had to use this option when I lived in Wyoming.I'm adding this part in since it has been a year since my review and there are several things I have noticed that has slowly become the "norm" now with the Dr's. First off is the time you get to actually discuss the problem(s) your having which is 10 to 20 minutes. I'm sorry but that isn't enough time to do squat in. Then when you get on "My Chart", and read the Dr's notes it is almost funny. They write down that they did this and that when all they did was run in and out of your room. Sure they take your blood pressure and pulse but the rest of it is just out right lies. Not one of my Drs have done half of the things they write in the notes. I'm a human being that deserves time to find out just what is wrong with me, they would expect nothing less from their Dr if they had a serious problem that needed addressed. But to be honest I really don't think it's the Drs fault, it's the insurance company. I will still continue to get my care here, but if I take over the few minutes allowed for a visit to find out a solution to my problem then deal with it.
Debra Mammadova: This hospital sucks. Communication is nonexistent, same day appts no longer exist, and you have to search to find a good primary care physician or one that isn’t a resident. Now today I have scheduling calling me multiple times in a row when I declined the call because I’m sick because they apparently think it’s appropriate to call multiple times for a non emergency as opposed to leave a message. Even the practice manager didn’t remember to return my call and then tried to say she had remembered us talking 🤦‍♀️. Referrals given to other specialities never reached out to me as I was told, I always had to follow up myself. If you are not on top of things, you will fall through the cracks.
Michelle Herbert: I’ve spent a long time here the last year and a half battling cancer. I want to thank the grounds crew for how beautiful the landscaping around this hospital. I love seeing the flowers on the way in and out. Thank you so much. You are appreciated
Christina JG: Terrible for maternity care. They'll let women die when there is a pregnancy complication putting the life of the mother at risk before intervening. They have absolutely no compassion.
Jami Sink: Malissa Farmer
A Taylor: Smdh
Chad Chaplin: Don't go here if you want compassion or to live.
Peter Mikhael: So we went in for my daughter's cough and I was amused with the experienced doctors diagnosis. Without any testing or checking on my daughter or do what actual doctors do. Leaning on the bed while my daughter sitting on a chair and was discussing if he should prescribe her some inhalers for Asthma. I asked him if he will do any tests to confirm what he says, since I don't see any symptoms of asthma (I have been diagnosed with Asthma 6 years ago and I know the symptoms) his response was no need we will prescribe the medicine and go from there. So I told him thank you for wasting my time and walked away.
Victor Harris: When this is basically the only place in town you get what you get and have little choice. Unfortunately it allows them to be rude, difficult, and non-responsive to patient needs. By far the worst experience in my 36 yrs in the military. Even military medicine is better ; and they set a low standard.
Rachal Cairo: Don't give birth here they will treat you like an animal. Go to a birth center instead don't give this place one penny.
Teasia Claiborne: The wait time today is 5 hours-6 hours smh do better!
Jack Ryan: One of the best health care systems in the country. My family and I have benefited greatly from the care we have received here.
patrick mckenna: The hospital is good at what they do, I have an issue with Monica Campbell in Radiology , one of their employees that keeps sending myself and my family nasty emails, after working there 20 years I thought a phone call to Patient relations would take care of this issue. They say they have no control over their employee because it is a personal issue and The would need to file a police report. Some way to treat a patient who gave 20 years of their life to your organization.
Jen D: Best specialists in the area. Nice facilities and caring staff.
Shawn Reed: They saved my life and I found the neurologist that saves my life in 2007 at a different hospital here when moved back to Kansas City
teresa hernandez: Surgery multiple times delivered one of my children here, they have saved my life on multiple occasions
Elgin Hullaby: Well taken care of and extremely helpful and congenial staff!
melissa victorine: Beyond frustrated with the billing department. I’ve called multiple times, provided them their own itemized bills and claims with INCORRECT coding and charges (which have doubled over the last four years) and lied to me saying they put the bills on hold while they received the documentation. Apparently, they don’t tell the patient the review is complete and denied and you’re being sent to collections, they just send it! Zero communication. Beyond appalled a healthcare system would have such horrible communication when their billing is incorrect. A preventative mammogram is not the same thing as diagnostic and yet they don’t know how to bill this correctly!
rlyn1975: Wonderful people who truly show care and compassion.
Mary Downing: Being there feels like 75% of the staff was involved in Greek life and is letting out the fact they peaked in college on sick people.
Damon Hough: I don't do Google reviews really but I felt it necessary to share my experience over the last 10 months post surgery. Dr. Archie Heddings is the most realistic, caring, and genuine professional doctor I've ever dealt with (and I've dealt with alot). He puts his patients well being first instead of farming you through like cattle as most doctors do. It's been a helpless feeling in my situation over this last year and it's nice having a doctor I can say I trust now because I never have before! Would recommend him and his staff to anyone.
