They allowed her to aggressively take out her displaced anger and stood by her lies all the way through trial despite obvious evidence to the contrary. All the while refusing any mediation and preventing any reasonable discussions of a fair agreement when they represented her in the divorce that followed. An obvious tactic on a national scale (I’ve learned) of scorned women looking for revenge / personal gain who are willing to use this type of method to gain immediate and unquestioned leverage by taking children away from fathers so they can be used as a weapon throughout divorce.Fast forward one year and this same organization said to ‘help victims who cannot help themselves’ refuse to acknowledge or right their wrong as my ex has since been charged with child abuse for the very children she has abused and used as bargaining chips BECAUSE LAWMO made it possible and protected her from scrutiny for doing soIt’s win at all costs mentality is a HUGE problem for a non-profit organization now receiving the kind of government funding that was paid out in the Johnson and Johnson settlement last month …. When asked if they would defend the children who are now the proven victims of abuse by this same individual?Respectfully, that request was denied. Because justice for all isn’t for all of a conflict of their interests arises….What type of principles of law and ethics must this suggest?I would argue one that has become too powerful to have zero checks and balances and enough ego to refuse to admit and fix mistakes …. Or so much as look into what I now believe to be a widespread occurrence from a well oiled machine being used and abused by the portion of the dishonest ‘victims’ they were created to represent. (Whom by representing and refusing to recognize the possibility of this happening I imagine someday will be the long term survivals largest threat)Sad story. And one I’ve tried many times to reach out to make them aware in hopes they might properly addressAt least you got another W on this one.Sorry it’s all that matters - my two little girls are what it was supposed to be about. The Kansas City office in turn referred me to the Warrensburg office saying my issue was outside the jurisdiction of the KC office. Warrensburg said my issue is only handled by the KC office. I go back and forth talking to various people and finally I am told I will receive a letter from them with a document I can sign.= and they'll check to make sure I got all my stimulus checks but that is the best they can do to help me. I got the letter but there was NO document to sign included with it."Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to handle every eligible client’s case. Our staff must choose those cases in which our help will have a significant impact on the client."No, you mean your staff will pick and choose which cases they feel like taking while telling everyone else to go find a lawyer elsewhere. You will punt the issue to other agencies (IE the UMKC Self Help Law program or the Attorney General's office or to the Public Defender office) all of whom will say to go contact Legal Aid.Then the cycle begins all over again. Oh yea, your help would have (had) a "significant impact" on me but you felt otherwise.

I was told I would receive a call or packet in the mail Monday or Tuesday for my court date Thursday. Wednesday came around and I've heard nothing. So I called them and I find out they didn't take my case and Ryan was late mailing me my packet because he was busy...Now I have no idea what to do for court tomorrow and I will probably be homeless before the week is over. Thanks for nothing.

I had been going through years of abuse and threats from my daughter's father, when Nicole Fisher turned down my case but advised me to get better boundaries and to tell my daughter's father that we would not see him when he was using intimidation or threats. It turns out, he did sue me for custody, created multiple false abuse allegations out of spite, and I have been told over and over again by lawyers that my biggest mistake was that day when I told him word for word what Nicole told me to say. When Nicole turned my case down I was represented by someone under her in her law firm - Sammi Sader. This was my second biggest mistake. Every single time, until the time when I let Sammi go as my representation ($5,000 later which I received almost none of back), when I was on the phone with Sammi telling her about what new crazy thing my daughter's father daughter was doing - Sammi would say everytime "Well this is what you get for having a kid with a deadbeat dad". She never stopped shaming me, and also didn't even help me. After I requested for her to not be my lawyer anymore, she was fired soon after. And when I asked Nicole for some of my money back, Nicole told me it was MY fault for not explaining sooner all the problems I was having. It was some real gaslighting. These people are the least professional, and least competent lawyers I have heard of. I am SO HAPPY with the legal advice I am receiving now, with 0 complaints, so this experience has taught me to trust sometimes it's really not me - its THEM.

alexandra strickler: Paid Mr. Moreno lots of money and spent lots of time and energy trying to get a parenting plan and child support set up to be paid through the state. After a year and a half, my case was "finished". After reading through the final parenting plan, there were discrepancies that did not match what the other parent and I agreed upon. Anthony said he would fix it, but that never happened. Child support is still being paid by check because it was never put in the parenting plan to be paid through the state (but it should have been, as it was discussed and agreed upon many times to be set up that way). I've tried to contact Mr. Moreno many times with questions and following up, but he has washed his hands of my case and has decided he is done.

I had thought it would be an easy divorce however things became more complicated as it went on.In my opinion, communication with Anthony was lacking. As was motivation.My Ex's lawyer sent a proposal in which I would pay 100% of the mutual debt and give her $8,000 in equity from our shared home. Anthony's response was "you should take it, it's a fair deal"Upon getting a second opinion, I chose to end the working relationship and required a reimbursement on funds that were not used. At this time his communication get much better (charging me for each message) and then, when the courts approved a change of representation, I had to notify him and remind him to reimburse meThe divorce is now over, my new attorney found over $60,000 in assets from my Ex. 401k, inheritance, etc. That she has "forgotten to mention " not only did i NOT have to pay any equity from the home, i also have to pay a very very low percentage of the mutual debt. And I've kept my house.In my personal opinion of my review of Mr. Moreno, I believe that he was interested in the case when he thought it would be easy, and when a challenge was represented, he gave up. Had I taken his opinion I would be in nearly $38,000 worth of debt and would have to sell my house to try and get out from under someone of it. It's really a shame as he came recommended. That being said , I'm sure he is wonderful for easy separations and traffic tickets but, for a case that depends on investigation and attention to detail I would suggest finding a better fit.As of this message, there have been about 5 people that have reached put to me on Facebook messenger citing the same experiences with Mr. Moreno.
