Linda Marois: Nice zoo for young family. Clean.I just revised my previous review from 3 to 4 stars. The zoo was very clean and kids friendly. My grandchildrens specially like to pet the stingrays. The food was overpriced. For the five of us: 1 pizza, 1 burger, 1 fries and 3 hot dogs for 48.50 US. No drinks...We skipped the blue portion of the zoo (elephants, girafe, etc) as it was a bit too far to walk and there was a huge line up for the train, so the kids didn't want to go.

Michael Glore: There were some animals not out on display because it wasn't hot enough for them. This was the 3rd week of June (upper 80s), so I'm guessing they may only be out July and part of August. The staff was friendly. It's just hard to give it more than four stars when the zoo in Omaha is so close and a better option. We enjoyed our visit.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
Anusha B K: The zoo is huge and has lot of animals. The animal adventure show was disappointing. It was just a 15 mins show with 2-3 birds. I have seen better shows in other zoos. We wasted our time just to attend the show and couldn’t cover rest of the zoo.Few of the exhibit like giraffe and polar bear weren’t there because of the weather. Also there was a lot of wait time for the boat ride.Need a whole day to cover the entire zoo.
Elizabeth Davis: We love the zoo. The penguins and the stingray's are our favorite. Lots of indoor places to cool off. Plus the boat is up and running. It is such a cool experience!Visited on Weekday Wait time 10–30 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $11–15 …More
Vince Benedetto: I appreciate all the work the staff put into taking care of all the critters!!Had a great experience, been upwards of 15 years since I visited and overall enjoyable. This time gap gives me an interesting perspective now, after so many years of projects and upgrades. Knowing there's tons of money being pumped into the zoo overall helps my feelings, but still feel the need to express thisI was tremendously under-impressed by the lack of relatively recent monies and updates put into the whole North sector of the Zoo. All the old cat/bear cages are great ideas for reuse, free and easy to throw smaller mnkeys, cats and birds in there. But it's 90% identical to my childhood in the 90's and I left that area disappointed. Felt like they were all relegated to that area, while the spotlight shines on the more popular animals.

Matt Tessier: I hate to leave a three star review. It’s an impressive zoo, and we saw some cool things, but the ride situation is out of control. It seems like everything is a paid “add-on” once you get inside after having paid a high admission price. The train ride was probably 100 yards and the “tram ride” takes you like 150 ft, and after you pay for that, you find out it’s not round trip! Then the sky ride is extra money…then the carousel is extra money….then the boat ride is extra money…then feeding the stingrays is extra money. Felt extorted once inside. Very sad to leave such a review for my wife’s childhood zoo, because there are some good memories there, but the ride situation is unfortunate

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Kansas City: what do users think?
Rachel A.: I cannot believe all the reviews that say this place is worth the price. It cost us over $200 for both attractions (2 adults + 3 kids).I will admit my kids had fun. But they could have fun in a mud puddle, and those are free…And probably cleaner than this place. It was absolutely filthy. I know legos are hard to clean, but even the floors were dirty. Also, the lighting is terrible. There are lots of places where it is completely dark.A LOT of the legos are glued together. I kid you not. Did these people even see the Lego movie??? Why put legos together that you won’t allow the guests to play with? My children were very disappointed by this. There were also TVs in every corner. Why bother coming here if your kids can just watch TV at home? There are plenty of fun free things to do in KC. Or even things that are worth their admission. This is not one of them.
Corey Aldred: Nothing special. Weird that it's $25 for adults. You have to pay for more things once you're inside. Not a Legoland, just a Lego room.
Michael Parks: Fun for kids.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …More
Marcel Neves: Smaller than expected and unorganized. Clearly understaffed. There should be more staff to guide at each station. Pieces of Lego on the floor everywhere, the place was dirty. My kids liked it but we’re not very engaged.
Clarissa Feldman: Fun times had by kids and adults! Definitely spent 2 hours there easily, playing the games and building Legos. Such a fun and busy environment with plenty to do. Build race cars, play on jungle gyms, watch a 4D movie, Virtual Reality ride and more.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $21–30 …More
Captain S: Kids had a good time in Legoland. Great place to take kids and do some activities. It is very pricey though.Visited on Weekend Wait time 1 hr+ Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $31+ …More
Patrick O'Dea: I love Legos so yeah I am going to like this place
Shannon V: We had 5 adults and 4kids. This was good fun for all of us. They have two rides that are included in the price. This was a pleasant surprise. Adults can ride too. The only extra cost was the VR game, which we opted out of. The wizard of oz and Stadium builds were very impressive! The kids had fun making there own builds and racing cars on the track. Starbucks inside that sells food at regular prices. (Not inflated like a lot of other places)
Anna James: It was pretty nice. Only issue is the price for me. I think it’s way too much for a 2 and a half hour experience. Like $25 dollars a person - kids and adults both at that price - is a lot for what you get. If it was more like $15 per person I would say it would be more worth it… Kids had fun, just wish there were a couple more things for them to do.
J G: VERY expensive! My kids loved the bike ride, and it was fun watching them do the vr rollercoaster but I don't think it would be worth the price to go again. They do close at a certain time so we had to come back for the aquarium that we bought a joint pass for the next day. Make sure you go super early if you do both!Visited on Weekday Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $31+ …More

Joana Barbabela: Visited on Weekend Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20More
Alexis Donnelly: Great place for all ages. They have smaller rides, shows, food & drinks, challenges, building stations, and of course Legos. They had Legos of all kinds. The employees here were better than Chick-Fil-A employees. Every employee had a very strong personality that shined through their work employee character. More businesses should strive to have Legoland employees. They were all kind and seemed to all love their job. They put the same magic in Legoland that Disney employees put into Disney world. Will definitely be visiting again.
Jace Bardwell: Customer service was severely lacking. One cashier was unable to put a certain amount of my purchase on one card and the remainder of the balance on another (I had money in my Venmo account and used my checking to complete the rest of the transaction). When I got home, the $300 set was missing multiple bags of pieces, I could not even start at step 1 as a result. I went back to the store, another 30 minute drive. Same cashier who was unable to process my transaction was leaning on the checkout counter with her back to the line, playing on her phone. With people in line. I finally spoke to a manager and they said they were not able to exchange or return the set as it had been opened, as they are not a retail store, but a gift shop. They refused to exchange my set for another on the shelf. They told me I had to contact LEGO to get the pieces I was missing and it could take a week for that to happen. I instead drove to Oak Park Mall where LEGO has a retail store, and they gladly exchanged my opened set for a new set, that had all of the pieces included. Next time I purchase a set in store, I will be going to the Oak Park location, and I'd advise you to do the same. I have never in my 25+ years of building had a set that was missing pieces nor have to go through so much trouble to get the problem resolved.
Julie Davis: It was ok, very small and not alot to do. Kids were ready to leave in an hour. For the orice you pay plus the vr ride you pay for, it just didnt add up for me and my family. Definitely needs to be alot bigger with more to do. The 4D movie wasnt worth the hype.nothing seemed to come out the screen. Very disappointing to say the least.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $31+ …More
Ashley Rohrbach: I came with my family on a Monday- it was $162 for a family of 2 adults, 2 kids. For sealife and legoland. We were hoping this place would be cool.It was just alright. Some of the attractions were broken down or not able to be used. Really Disappointed in the 4d movies - the ones we saw were NOT 4d. Nothing happened. No air , wind, feeling of nothing. Isn’t that what a 4d movie is supposed to be? And the 3D glasses were all dirty and looked liked they’d been passed around to everyone all day and not cleaned. Gross.I brought it to the attention of an employee outside of the theater, she said “no one has had problems all day.” I said that’s odd, because other people in that theater were saying the same. That employee just didn’t care at all it seemed.I brought it to the attentionof another employee, and same thing- she just said “oh there are some dead spots in the theater.”I just think it would have been nice if an employee, someone cared enough to make sure we did get to experience it in 4d.No one cared. Lego land was overall, very dusty, dirty, 4d movies weren’t working, 3D glasses dirty, and more than 2 employees seemed to not care, at all.On top of that, I thought it was way overpriced.Very disappointing. Please, do better.
Zevan Gustafson: Definitely not worth the price. A lot of the activities you could do at home or were lame. The best part was the Lego display of Kansas City and the wizard of oz. If you have a family with 4+ people in it, I would recommend spending your money on a Lego set for the kids in the Lego store.Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
Andrew Kriss: Lego land has a lot to do. 2 rides are included with your ticket purchase. A lot of Lego animation just cool all around. Be sure to park in the parking garage because you get validated for 6 hours.Visited on Weekday Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $21–30 …More
Kyla C: A great place for kids to play with a variety of Legos, experience VR, nice wall climbing "ride", the little indoor playground was a lot of fun.Kids can burn off hours of energy here. All ages have something to do!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $21–30 …More

Student of the Word of God: Kept hearing about this great place near the City market, so my wife and I decided to go. #1, we were sat in the corner near some dead plants so maybe that’s what caused the flies and gnats to invade our space. #2, our server wasn’t too pleasant. #3, a gnat flew into my food, when I tried to get my server’s attention, she walked right past me. It was probably a nice experience for someone else but ours was horrible. I keep hearing this from the same class of people too…black people. Idk…

D B: Our group had a fun brunch experience, and I look forward to going back. We started with the cinnamon roll which has bacon pieces on top; it was good but the roll was a bit dry. The biscuits and gravy were great, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the mimosa tower, which was pretty good. Lastly, the service was excellent and our meals came out on a reasonable amount of time.
Jeff Weinrich: The Farmhouse never disappoints. Great food and staff.

Diane McKinney: One of our favorite Sunday Brunch spots! We like to sit outside and this summer they have added a shade cover so it's more comfortable out there. All of the food we've had has been amazing. There is a regular Sunday brunch menu as well as a special menu specific to that day. I was dissapointed that they had run out of the ingredients to make the Mimosa special so I was forced to drink a regular one :(
Betty Jones: Came here for lunch/brunch. Super cute place. Street parking. Outside seating is very nice. All shaded! Coffee is a French press ☕️. Fancy!! Got the cinnamon roll to share. It was very large. Beware lol. It’s very sweet but the frosting is amazing. Got Lord kyler for the main meal. It was pretty good. I was imagining normal sausage, not pork sausage lol which would’ve made it better I think haha but flavoring was great. 👍Huge portion. And it came with super cute tiny fries 🍟 Lolol. Also got a taste of the salmon on toast and mmmm that was amazing. I’d probably get that next time! Waiters were super nice!!!
Kelli Hearn: The food is always great at The Farmhouse! I brought a couple of out of town friends here for brunch and high marks all around. The food was fresh, the bacon was crispy, and the vibes were immaculate. We appreciated the quick service! Austin Wasmer: I just had the best chicken fried steak I have ever had. The flavor with the grits and perfect sunny side up eggs make the perfect pairing. I had to keep myself from licking every morsel off the plate. So yeah, I will be coming back when visiting KC again.
Tyler DeFelice: Vegetarian options: The country biscuits and gravy are AMAZING!!! Between the service and the food, you will not be disappointed. I have been going for years and have never once, been let down. How have I not written an outstanding review before? That is my bad. Seriously, you HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT!!!
Kaden Belcher: I enjoyed the Farmhouse! My wife loved the corned beef hash, and the omelet I got was pretty good. I loved how the coffee was a pour over too! It did feel a bit pricey for the quality of everything, but I would still recommend going here!Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Daniel Nagati: You might be wondering why the average reviews of this restaurant are so high after you eat here. It's because this used to be an excellent restaurant before new management took over. Now the food is bland, the menu is stale and overpriced, and the service is terrible. If you were curious why a restaurant would only be open 2 days a week, it's because no one ever comes here. Head over to the next closest restaurant , which is at least open every day, even though their food is mediocre. How many days a week are you open for dinner now? (It's zero)

K: I love that it’s free and gives kids the opportunity to be creative with all sorts of different art materials. I would highly recommend checking it out if you have kids. Be sure to book tickets online though because spots fill up fast. You can’t just show up and get a same day ticket. They have a certain amount of guests per time a lot. It is wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly so when you go in you can just park your stroller near the pictures of clouds and you don’t have to worry about it. They should give you a 2 hour free parking pass. Be sure that you are parking in the right area beforehand though. I parked in the wrong parking garage and had to pay full price.

Amanda Donovan: I wasn’t expecting things to look so dull and sterile. This isn’t what I recall from my childhood. I was really excited to get an opportunity to finally take my 5YO, based on what I remember. There wasn’t much to do besides draw on different cuts of paper with dried out markers, water color that was murky from kids not rinsing their brushes, and melted crayon wax. All the stations looked almost exactly the same, minus one space that had a wheel of fabric. I recall the space with a much more whimsical feel to it, now it’s just white and minimalist with a little bit of color. It makes me think it was designed with Ikea products? It’s very underwhelming. My 5YO struggled to stay focused, as all stations were almost identical. I could tell she wasn’t that thrilled because when she is engaged and excited, I struggle to pull her away, and she sometimes becomes upset (this happens at Science City a lot—she LOVES it. We had time to stop by after thankfully and utilize our membership passes). We walked out with no issue, she could care less.Disappointed to say the least. I know it’s free, but considering the waitlist is weeks long, I was anticipating her to experience the same magic I seem to recall from my childhood, like many fellow KC Native reviewers before me had mentioned. I don’t feel like she experienced that feeling, and felt no inspiration to create—nor did I to come up with creative ideas with her. Very much unlike her, she loves to craft and create! Maybe if a more similar theme to the old one had been designed in the remodel, she’d have enjoyed herself more. This is for kids, after all. I don’t feel like the current look sparks creativity as the old look did. Maybe I’m just being too reminiscent. The staff was very friendly though, so 5/5 for them.
Alasha Rainez: Loved this as a kid and can't wait for my son age 2 gets to go experience it soon. I'll be booking soon for him.
marina coon: My son loved it so much! Can't wait to take my daughter
dalton thomas: We took the kids out for fun but by far we loved it just as much
Cecil Bills: This an awesome interactive art shop for young children. The only limits is their imagination .
Queen Bree: Love this place
Krystina Tiger: A fun free thing to do with kids, I was expecting a little more but for not paying anything I can't complain.
SterlingJamie Bryant: Really enjoy coming to Kaleidoscope! They are definitely giving kids a great experience with creative arts and crafts, and free of charge at that!As a parent, I did find there to be a little less variety since they remodeled during the pandemic. I heard from the front desk that is more friendly to kids on the spectrum in different ways. I definitely support that. One of favorite stations that my kids enjoyed was the watercolors, on the back corner of the room. They even made hats! When we visited most recently, we were walk ins. I do suggest doing your best to reserve a time slot ahead of time.I would also advise coming earlier in the day. Their last session begins at 2:30p and ends at 3:20p.The front desk is less likely to help you enter as a walk in towards the end of the day but if you arrive before the beginning of a session, you are more likely to grab a spot as long as you have your kiddos with you!I will be coming back again with my wife and kids very soon and I recommend Kaleidoscope to anyone with kids that lives within driving distance of Kansas City, keeping in mind that there are many other things to do and places to visit within Crown Center and downtown KC.Atmosphere:5Family Experience:5Friendliness of Staff:4.5Homeschooling Activity:5
Zach Hyatt: Was incredibly disappointed. I remember this place being colorful and abstract and you knew what to do at the stations. There was neon lights you could color. Now it’s just so basic and minimal to no color. It’s all just coloring station with markers that don’t work. Save for a small wax station and water color paint area. It was awful. We left before our time session was even up. We were bored and didn’t know what to do or make. They used to have station that you could make different crafts at and you were actually learning to make something now it’s just paper and fading markers.
Becca Shideler: 14, 10, 8, and 4 year old all had fun at this place. O and us parents too! So many fun activities for the kids to do, and completely free! Only thing is make sure and get your tickets in advance. My kids left with so many new creations. They even had fun games for the kids to play if they were tires of arting. 10 year old made a chicken beak, that has made its way into a special spot so it wouldn't get crushed. 14 and 4 year old left with capes. But the 8 year old got the best prize of all she got a special Birthday sticker! She told the staff her birthday was tomorrow, and the brought out this cute sticker for her to wear.
kelsey guiot: It has completely changed, lost of coloring stations, a small puzzle making machine, water coloring station, wax drip station but that's pretty much it. Nice bathrooms. I recommed calling ahead to reserve a spot or at least to know when they are letting people in. You only have so long before your session is done btw i didn't know it was a limited time. All and all clean and open... but it was more fun when i was a kid, more to do anyway.
Kris Bever: We really enjoyed our visit. Our kids had a good time and so did we.
Michael DePriest Sr.: Long time Kansas City staple I took my grandson. I remember going as a child.
kmhemeyer: We had an okay time. It wasnt the same experience that i remember as a child although they had similar components. Very open ended. For me as a parent i would like to know what i should be doing at each station to help guide my young chidren. They just scribbled on odd shapped paper and then did the same at the next station. My kids rated it a 4. I would say 2 because we can do the same activities at home.
Amanda Quisenberry: Went today and my daughter loved it she is 6. But I remember going as a child and even a few years back when I babysit other children and it was so much more magical and the decor was more fun. I’m not a fan of the minimalist look they have going on there from the remodel. I was hoping they would have made it a lot more magical and artistic like it was when I was a kid. I miss the black lights in the room as well which was my favorite part.

Jake Phillips: Visited KC from the UK, and decided to visit here for a couple of hours. Its a lovely little nature centre. A nice little selection of animals on show. With all the learning materials on offer I felt like it was more aimed towards children and school visits. The walks around the centre were lovely, especially on the sunny day we picked to visit. All the animals looked well look after.

The Farmhouse KC Event Venue: what do users think?
Kristin Campos: We had our wedding here at the end of April. The venue was so absolutely perfect for us. Shelby and Courtney are super nice and helpful. Everything about their venue is amazing. The bridal suite is so pretty and functional and the perfect size. The grooms cottage was a huge bonus! My husband and his groomsman had a great time. The inside of the venue is so beautiful with the chandeliers. The outdoor ceremony spot is also fantastic. Such a pretty backdrop for our ceremony. Overall 100/10. I would fully recommend anyone getting married to take a tour and fall in love with it! Thank you so much Farmhouse KC for having us for our special day.
Emily Zada: As a vendor working in this venue, I am so impressed by the kindness of staff. Shelby, the owner, was so organized and communicated everything for our setup/tear down. The day went seamlessly. I highly recommend this beautiful venue.
Taylor Paige: As a wedding planner who has done over 35 events with Farmhouse KC, I assure you that you will not make a wrong decision if you choose this venue to host your wedding. The FHKC Team is so incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. They are true team players – jumping in and helping with anything they can to make the day a success. The venue and the surrounding property has the most diversity of any venue in KC - giving your album the feel that you’re in multiple locations throughout the day! Stunning venue, great location, amazing team - you’re the best, FHKC!
Sterling Spicer: Such a beautiful place to have a wedding! We had toured a few venues prior to seeing Farmhouse. Once we arrived and met the owners, the decision was easy. At all of our meetings it was spelled out clearly exactly what we could expect from the venue/staff and what our responsibilities were. Shelby and her staff were excellent at communicating with us so that we could communicate with others in our party and our guests. The bridal suit and groom cottage were charming, clean, and just fun spaces to hang out in. The day of our wedding was spectacular. From start to finish, Shelby and her staff were amazing and made us feel completely welcomed. We couldn’t be more grateful to have had such a great experience!
Erin Clark: I would recommend The Farmhouse KC Venue to everybody. The team was fabulous. Answered every question we had and helped in anyway they could. They made everything so easy and it is a very decently priced venue for everything you get! Not a single con to choosing this venue!
Ellie Lilly: We cannot say enough about our experience at the Farmhouse KC Venue. From the very beginning of the planning process, Shelby and the staff at the Farmhouse helped us understand the vision that became our daughter's wedding. They were very thorough in their explanation of how the ceremony and reception could be executed as well as what to expect as far as timeline and payment. The wedding day itself was absolutely seamless with the Farmhouse staff there to facilitate the needs of the wedding party and guests. We were able to enjoy the day, our daughter and son in law, and the guests, without a single worry. The Farmhouse is versatile and beautiful. It is an all in one venue where you can dream up your ideal wedding day either inside or out. The staff is exceptional and I would never have dreamed of using another venue for the most important day in my daughter's life!
Faith Lilly: We had an amazing experience with the team at farm house kc! Super professional and personable! They made the process of everything so easy! They also made the day go buy super smooth! Love y the team there!!
Drew Frank: We loved The Farmhouse!! We got married here in October, it was beautiful!! Shelby and her team were very easy to work with and were more than happy to answer any questions along the way. We are grateful we were able to have our big day with them!
Parker Stewart: Got married here on 01/01/2022 and it was the best day ever! There was a huge snow storm and Shelby made sure everything still went smoothly! Highly recommend!
Mikayla Cable: My husband and I put our deposit down site unseen about a year before our wedding actually happened. Maybe longer can’t really remember, but anyways, best thing that I ever decided. This was such an amazing wedding venue. We don’t have one complaint about it! Everyone loved it so much. Everyone had so much fun, some people had no idea it existed and absolutely just loved the place. It was the smoothest night ever! Shelby is amazing. Their bartenders were awesome!! And everything was just great. I will always tell people about the farmhouse kc, ❤️This place is literally just so beautiful!
Timmy Gibson: As a Wedding Officiant here in Kansas City I get to experience so many wonderful Wedding Venues and The Farmhouse KC Venue is a special place indeed. Unlike so many "Outdoor Venue" spots their "indoor" (backup) option is amazingly beautiful. That's important when dealing with Kansas City weather, which is so unpredictable. Another big plus about The Farmhouse KC Venue is how clean their venue is, even the bathrooms are spotless! And finally the staff is always helpful, cheery and helpful. I love this venue and highly recommend them.
angie payne: We hosted my daughters wedding here in September of this year. The staff was wonderful to work with and the wedding went off without a hitch. I’m surprised at the bad reviews on here, they are reviewing things that are out of their control. I have nothing but nice things to say about them!
Courtney Payne: We got married here last month and had an amazing experience! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and allowed our dream wedding vision to come to life. I would definitely recommend The Farmhouse KC Venue!
Heather Hurley: My Son and Daughter-in-Law got married here on October 9th.This venue was beautiful, but the service? Whoa.Let me start with the rehearsal. They would not open the building for the rehearsal. A rehearsal for an indoor ceremony. Not only that, but they did not open the gate for us, so we had to park at the apartment complex across the street. Now, the day of the wedding. They wouldn’t let the wedding party use the Wi-Fi. It would seem that with the price of the venue for one day, the Wi-Fi shouldn’t even be a question. The Bridal party wanted to listen to music via the Bluetooth speaker hanging on the wall, but couldn’t get it to work. When we asked the staff for help, they said they called the owner, who stated “It should be working”.Very helpful.I ended up taking it off the wall, and fixing the connections for them. Something I felt should have been taken care of by the staff/owner, and not the Mother of the Groom.Fast forward to when we lined up for the ceremony. While the Grooms Quarters and Bridal Suite were vacant, the staff SNUCK in and took every beer, bottle of champagne, and bottle of wine. Opened or unopened.Out of coolers, refrigerators, and even can coozies. When we discovered this, and asked the staff about it, we were told we couldn’t have it when their bar was open. HOWEVER, they wouldn’t open the bar after the ceremony until PRECISELY 5:00pm, even though the cocktail hour began immediately following the ceremony, which was over by 4:40pm.That said, the girls at the bar were very friendly, and I’m quite sure we’re just following orders. We were told that all of the alcohol that was confiscated would be returned to us when the bar closed at 10:00pm. That never happened. The final straw; When we all went outside for the “sparkler send-off” for the Bride and Groom, the venue staff took it upon themselves to ONCE AGAIN remove every drink we had set on the tables to go outside. Another very sneaky thing to do, in my opinion. We came back in to empty coozies, with no explanations, and no apologies. While I do realize these may have been policies they have in place, I also feel like there could have been some announcements, or communication about these actions prior to. The way things were handled was rude, and disrespectful. In conclusion, while ours was a beautiful wedding, I would NEVER recommend this venue to anyone.AVOID AVOID AVOID.
americancamper 21: We had my brothers wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful! 5/5 would recommend!! Looking for a wedding venue?? Check this place out!!Follow me to see more honest reviews!
Amy Parker: Is this place beautiful? YES - ABSOLUTELY!But customer service is a NO! The owners are not flexible and very rude. We could not drop off anything the day prior to the wedding, even though the venue was not being used. We weren't even able to go inside for rehearsal. The gates are on a timer so if your rehearsal is at 4, the gates literally don't open until 4. Day of wedding, same thing. Gates are on a timer so don't plan on getting there 1 minute early. The caterer is only allowed in the kitchen. We couldn't even take a look day of wedding. They were rude to the bridal party and I heard from a few of our vendors they were rude to them as well. Some of our chairs were chipped and table cloths had black marks on them. The make up chairs are so uncomfortable and the bridal suite is small. If you are trying to have a fun wedding, do not use this place. VERY STRICT policies and not flexible what so ever!
lavonda roy: If, I could give them 10 stars I would. From the beginning Shelby has been nothing but the best. The venue is beautiful, nice, and very clean. They are professional and prompt when replying. I would definitely book them again.
Carrie Lasater: Shelby and her team were wonderful to work with. Every email and message were answered quickly and the whole process was free of stress! This venue was perfect for what we envisioned for our wedding day. From the initial tour to the ceremony and reception they were helpful and accommodating, making our day even better than we could have hoped for.Thank you for providing the perfect space for our perfect day!
Jackson Hoover: Amazing wedding venue; they really care about their guests!
KC Photo booth Co: Positive:Quality,ValueWe love doing weddings at The Farmhouse KC Venue. The gals are so kind, down to earth and so great to work with. We can't wait to bring back our photo booth for more weddings this year!
Ike Bush: This venue is owned by a rich privledged woman from a much wealthier area than this. It sits near a low income housing area and they have zero respect for the less privledged families living near the venue. Three to Four nights a week nearby residents are subject to unreasonably loud music, drunk people outside the venue yelling and causing a general disruption of peace. Its amazing that the city of independence granted this place a license.I would also be very aware of the large homeless population living in the woods behind.People living in the nearby apartments are generally unable to relocte due to financial constraints. When approached and asked to please consider the issues being caused the owner has replied with "Move if you don't like it" and I am not doing anything illegal" its a sad reality of our world that some people have to be legally forced to practice respect and common decency for others.
