MOJO Cycling Studio: what do users think?
Rachel Kerns: I've been going to Mojo for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it here!! The classes are a ton of fun and I love all the different themes. The instructors are so welcoming along with the whole staff, the environment is so positive and fun!! I look forward to taking more classes here!
Ashley Guinn: Visiting from out of town. Awesome, welcoming vibe! Killer workout!
Jacque Flack-Tucker: Great vibes and amazing workout!
Annette Berry: Friendly people, great workout, good music! It's upstairs in the Plaza near T mobile, if you're not paying attention you might miss it.
Shivani Patel: Been going here for +4 years with no regrets. Always greeted by friendly staff, provided with great energy throughout class and a beautiful, clean facility.
Chelsay Russell: I highly recommend Mojo! I’ve been attending for a little over a year now and I’m still just as obsessed. All of the instructors are incredible and everyone is so welcoming. I love this place!
Jenna TeKolste: Mojo is a fiercely welcoming community with great energy! Whether you want to destress after a long work day or kick your weekend off right, it’s simply the best workout in town.Tap it back with Betsey, party it up with Charlotte, go next-level with Daniel, bust out some Taylor Swift with Sam, take yourself back to the frat house with Natalie L, belt some show tunes with Natalie G, whatever you pick… you’ll find your favorite mojo!!!
Eleni Kouvelou: Best Cycling class in KCmo! The team is fantastic! Each class has it's own spin 🤪 and the or work outs..are killers !
Obbie Willis: O-M-G ; where do I even start: I’ve been a rider here since August of 2018 — and flashing forward in time have had the pleasure of going through a special intensive instructor training program MOJO offers at least once a year. After the auditions were all said and done this year; I was chosen as one of the three newest cycle instructors here at MOJO Cycling Studio !! My journey as a rider here has been full of self-directed goals and commitments I have secretly made to myself over the years. Since 2018; I have achieved every one of those feats, including (but not limited to): increased stamina, definition in my body, a flat stomach *Insert rejoice here *, an everlasting support system, and a reinvigorated sense of motivation that pushes me out of my home every free moment I have. I am so grateful for the continued fulfillment that MOJO has enhanced me with over the years ✨
Ally Vaughn: I just started coming a month ago and I absolutely love it! Every class and instructor have been so fun!
Angela Crawford: Update: I love Mojo so much that I decided to join the team and become an instructor. I didnt think it was possible for me to love mojo even more than I already did. The energy exchange with other riders is like no other. I love my tribe!Mojo saved me! It became a safe place for me. When you walk into mojo you can be yourself with no judgement. Mojo challenges me and makes me push myself which I can see transfer over to other places in my life. It's one of my favorite places. The owner is great and the instructors are all awesome. There is nothing like riding and dancing to the beat!
Morgan Crader: Mojo is one of the best workouts I’ve ever done!! I’ve been a member for over a year now and I feel challenged every time I clip in.
Samantha Chlebicki: My favorite place by far! The people, both workers and riders, are absolutely amazing, inspiring and caring! The workouts are so fun and make me excited to go and anxious to go back! I truly can’t say enough good things about every aspect of Mojo! If you are looking for a great atmosphere, a great workout or great people, this is your place!
Imani Ballard: Everyone…. THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! If you love to dance, if you love music, if you love high energy, if you need a boost of endorphins, if you want a change in your workout, if you want a high intensity low impact workout and/or if you just want to have some fun, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. I have taken every instructor, ridden to a variety of music and I love it all. 100 out of 10 recommend
Julie Summerlin: Mojo is my favorite workout studio in KC! I've been taking classes here for about 5 years. My first class was the first cycling class I ever attended, and the instructors and front desk staff were (and continue to be) welcoming, friendly and helpful. The instructors bring such fun energy to class. I always leave feeling exhausted (in a good way!) and in a great mood.
Savanna Smith: Mojo is my happy place! I love Mojo so much, I chose to celebrate my birthday there with a room full of people I love and a private ride with Kenzie!Whether you book Mojo for a private event, attend a themed ride, or show up for a classic spin class, you'll truly feel like you're a part of something special. If you're nervous about your first class, rest assured that you will feel right at home.Extra huge high five to Jessica and Michael who have been my biggest motivators lately. I'll go WAY out of my way to take their classes because they push me to be my best, I feel SO good afterwards, and their playlists are perfect!!!!
Ivana Easley: Great atmosphere and even better instructors!
Marisa Kolka: I love Mojo! The instructors are so kind and always remember your name. Everyone is welcoming and it’s not an intimidating space at all!
Courtney King: Been loving this studio for several years, all the instructors are great & the energy is the best in KC. Highly recommend.
Kashvi Gupta: MOJO is KCMO’s best cycling studio. The instructors, music, and vibe are all fabulous. I cannot recommend this place enough!
Sarah Maalouf: Just took my first (free ☺️) introductory class yesterday, then purchased the 10 ride intro package on my way out: Easy access; beautiful space; new riders intro deal is legit a steal; very helpful staff / instructors, while being mindful to not overwhelm you with attention, and giving you space to find yourself on your first visit.

CYCLEBAR: what do users think?
Drew Kloeppel: I recently joined CycleBar after being enticed for a free ride in April 2023. This was after I considered purchasing my own bike and possibly joining yet another gym. I really didn't want a bike and I really didn't want to join another gym so I could get on another boring elliptical machine. I was incredibly (!!!) surpised with the pleasant yet helpful staff and the fun ride! I immediately joined on an 8-ride per month plan but two weeks later upgraded to an unlimited plan (to ride about four times per week). It works great with my schedule and I work really hard for those 45 minutes. I don't get a workout like that on an elliptical machine (and probably not a bike).Lastly, the instructors are nice and motivational. You leave the session as a better person...but exhausted.Keep up the good work!!!
Kelsey Baska: Maggie B is the absolute best instructor! Her energy is infectious and she is so supportive and aware of the needs of her riders. I highly recommend taking her classes!
Christina: Great workout! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s a great workout and is becoming a wonderful addition to my weekly workouts! It’s definitely worth it.
Jonathan B: Other reviews citing their shady business practices are true. I would not recommend signing a membership, and judging from their dwindling class sizes, I wouldn't be surprised if they were not around much longer. They are all about signing you up, but once you want to leave, a different side of them comes out. They continued charging our credit card without our permission, stone-walled when confronted, and acted practically criminal with respect to our financial security. There are too many other options in this space to put up with this.
Jamie Smith: Great team working here! They are very welcoming to newbies as well as regulars! The gym is clean. Great vibes.
Amanda Murphy: I joined CycleBar about a year ago and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. If you’re like me and get nervous to try something new, this is a great place to start! Everyone here is really nice and encouraging. It’s a great full-body workout, 10/10 would recommend!
Abigayle-Anna Williams: The community here is so great! Lots of connections to be made. So happy I’m here for now. Only concern is when I move and will need to end my membership. (Due to other comments and concerns)
Sarah Whitesides: I’ve been going to CycleBar for almost a year with the 4 rides a month membership. I started the process to cancel it 3 months prior to it ending and was told something different each time I checked in with someone. Finally I emailed corporate and told the front desk lady what I was told and she continued to say that’s not what she saw on her computer but we will go with what corporate said. In order to cancel your membership you must pay the last month at that time even if it’s not your actual billing date. So I ended up losing 2 rides since I was on a consistent schedule of going once a week, but had to pay my last month a couple weeks early in order to cancel. Not to mention their cancellation policy with each ride is terrible. I cancelled a ride then ended up going to it so I called to let mw know beforehand. Still got charged a 20$ fee and lost a ride. This took atleast a month to straighten out and resulted with a 20$ credit posted to my CycleBar account instead of back on my debit card. There is no consistency here, instructors and general managers both come and go. The workers at the front desk pick and choose who they like as well. I don’t think a single one of them knew my name, yet everytime I walked in with my friend (which was every single ride I did) they greeted her by name. Not to mention the equipment is not well maintained, each bike feels completely different on the same resistance. So if you ride for stats like me they won’t be accurate because some bikes feel heavier than others. And if you don’t want to invest in your own pair of shoes and use theirs like I did well good luck. Every pair in my size was cracked on the bottom to where the sole of my foot would get pinched while riding. Anyways the moral of this review is honestly don’t waste your money.
Justice Thompson: It was my first time in this kind of workout setting. Everything was very clean and smelled good. I was greeted as soon as I got in the door and the lady at the desk was really nice and helpful getting me set up. The two instructors were pumped up and ready to go! They brought great energy and motivation to my workout. 10/10 will be back next week.
Morgan B: I joined because the instructors and front desk staff are typically very nice and motivational. My frustration is that you have 12 hours before a ride to reschedule or you get charged $20 and lose your ride. So if you only had 4 well now you're $20 broker and you have 3 rides left. EVEN if you call ahead due to illness, if the wrong person does it, they take your ride and your money and if they decide to give you your money back, it goes to your account with cyclebar and not back on your card where it was taken from (even if it was THEIR error). IT DOES NOT automatically come off from your account when they take the payment for your monthly bill. They are really good at taking your money but not putting it back. On top of that you have to go in person to cancel like eforms don't exist and you have to give 30 days notice to continue this struggle for another 30 days and risk getting even more charges on your acccount.. but alas I have grown from my relationship with cyclebar, this chapter is titled "never again".
Andrew Nantz: Make sure you understand all of their business policy so you don’t get burned
Danielle Torgersen: First impressions are everything.Decided to inquire about a membership at CYCLEBAR but as soon as I walked in, I was “greeted” (if you can call it that) by gals with who were anything but friendly or welcoming.I could tell that a class had just finished because people were walking out. So I don’t know if there was confusion about me walking in right after the fact, but there is a better way to greet someone even if you are confused with who they are or why they are there. I drove there after work around 5 p.m. which I can’t imagine is too out of the norm for potential new members. There was no hello, no smile nothing,... Have you ever walked in to a setting and immediately felt like you interrupted and inconvenienced someone? That’s what it was like.I wanted a membership while our house is under construction, but now it looks like I might just stick a Peloton in the living room. I mean I could spend $170 for an unlimited membership at CYCLEBAR and as a bonus, be made to feel like I was back in high school. OR I could pay $100 ($60 for bike $40 for unlimited classes) to own a high quality bike in 2 years, have unlimited access to every workout imaginable, and never have to deal with self-important instructors.
Bethany Schofield: I joined in March after doing a couple of free rides. In the last months most policies have changed in floating rides to the next month, canceling after the 12 hours window even due to Covid, and the costumer service is terrible. Most people answering the phones quickly lean into the “corporate policy” line with a slight laugh to quickly get you off the phone. Canceling requires going into the bar in person in 2022–seems like another barrier for quality and ease of customer service when dissatisfied. Most of my rides had some sort of mic, music; or tech glitch—-beware of any place that leans into the “this is a family” tagline.
Natalie B: Be careful, they make it nearly impossible to cancel your membership, I tried for like 3 mos and they accused me of lying about going into the studio to cancel it and not signing a cancellation form. The person at the front desk told me they canceled it my membership and then when I got billed they said I was confused or not being truthful. The instructors are good but the way the business is run makes me never want to attend a class again.
Lara Schmidt: They hosted a charity ride for me in January- which was so nice! But I still haven't received the funds for my ride and they won't respond to me after repeated attempts. That's $520 people paid thinking it was going to my charity 6 months ago and instead cycle bar still has the money.
Anntoinette Poindexter: Extremely dissatisfied with customer relations. After cancelling over 8 months ago I kept getting billed. When I reached out to the general manager about this, he supposedly sent emails to corporate, but I was never refunded . The corporate offices have never returned my emails and supposedly do not have a phone number. I would NEVER do buisness with this organization nor would I recommend them.
W Gregor: Everyone is so friendly and energetic in each class. The music the instructors choose is always upbeat and makes you push yourself further than the day before. A+ studio and staff.
Manmith Reddy: It was a good experience, I did go to this class via class pass and I did sweat out. Felt good to workout with the class on a cycle
Chris Bray: The best! Instructors super motivating, highly recommend to anyone trying to get fit or just loves to ride and sweat!
Rylee Rose: Awesome cardio with great music and instructors
Broderick Schofield: THIS WAS AWESOME! Great cardio workout. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back when ever I am able to visit KC again!

Blue Bicycle Health and Fitness: what do users think?
Teddy Noel: Good value, kind staff, all the equipment you need.
George Abuhl: I have been going here for 6 months now and I really like it.Staff is friendly and it is never too crowded. Especially for anyone who is budget minded, and the environment is clean. I would absolutely recommend.
Connie Meis-Robertson: My chiropractor is located in this business. Always a cheerful smile sitting at the desk
Connie Beachler: I like Blue Bicycle because it's a comfortable environment for all - serious weight-lifters, retirees seeking to stay healthy and fit, and everyone in between. It's very spacious, with multiple workout rooms and all the workout equipment you could need. I also like that it's a woman-owned business whose owner (Jan) is friendly and responsive to members' needs. And, membership is easy on your budget. Support Blue Bicycle!!!
Anne Downey: This gym has been my go to gym for the past 8 years. It’s expanded to include more equipment and space and checks every box you would need in a local neighborhood gym. Super reasonably affordable compared to past workout places where I was paying over $100 for just to take classes and nothing else. I recommend it to anyone I know in the area. Also added bonus get to see familiar faces.
Laura Doran: I joined a few months ago, this place is awesome! There are no frills, and no one is wearing makeup. There’s no annoying pop music playing. I say this as a high compliment, it’s a sanitary dive bar of gyms. Im not self conscious here, everyone is as friendly as you want them to be, my love ersonal trainer Rileighk I cannot say enough positive things about. It’s the Cheers of gyms, right up in Red Bridge. Also, super affordable! I only do the basic membership right now because my focus is with a trainer and not classes, but they do offer super affordable memberships with Pilates, yoga, pickle ball , and some other stuff! Support local!
Shelby B: Highly recommend. Nice size gym that offers everything you need. Staff knows your name and what station you like to watch when you’re on the elliptical! Cardio room, weight room, pickle ball, classes…it has all you need and nice hours.
Jim Mendenhall: I have belonged to the club for at least 15 years. Has everything I need. Most friendly, professional, and helpful staff. And you meet the nicest fellow-enthusiasts there. Glad it has been there so long.
reshay 37: I love this gym. It's clean, close, ran well and I can always use the equipment without having to wait. Jan the owner is always very cordial and willing to lend a helping hand. Highly recommended for anyone who is afraid to come or beginning their fitness journey.
Nathan Vickers: I highly recommend Blue Bicycle. It's an affordable and friendly place to go for workouts and group classes. The community there is great. It's a diverse mix of ages and fitness levels. It's welcoming and nonpreventions. I worked out at Blue Bicycle for a couple years when I lived in the Red Bridge neighborhood. I've moved out of the area now, but I don't think I'll ever find a place quite like it.
Barbara Lutman: Love this place. I feel so good walking in at my senior age. All ages go there however. Jan the owner makes you feel so welcome and chair exercise classes are quite good. Come join us. Fees are so reasonable too.
Frank Garrett: Critical:Professionalismemploys anti-mask anti-vax covidiots, there may not be any enforceable mask mandate in KCMO but they can at least require employees and customers to be masked and fully vaxxed
Elizabeth Howard: Blue bike staff is welcoming and accommodating. The gym is clean and spacious. The classes are well run. The staff even made sure I was safe when a disgruntled individual thought it was okay to follow me and my child as we were leaving the gym. The gym presents a feeling of family and inclusion.
Diane Carlin: It seems this business is reporting / deleting bad reviews. Absolutely shameful. I had an initially positive review that sat untouched for years, but now that I've seen their true colours, both my updated review and that of another member that had a negative experience have been removed.Intimidation and discrimination should not be tolerated.
Stan Bryant: I've been trying to cancel my membership as I have moved. Can never get anyone on the phone and have sent a few messages through using the option on the website and still no response..What needs to be done here in order to cancel my membership???
matthew ridgeway: Great place to lift weights.... Price is great per month... Very simple, clean place...I personally skip the men's locker room only cause of the size and always seems to be filled....nbd cause I live close... Rather shower at home anyway...I would recommend this gym...
vodka 0tter: Its a basic no frills gym. Mo meatballs, no Zumba queens just equipment and people wanting to exercise. Nice staff, great rates equipment is in pretty okay shape . I like it and have been a member for a couple years now.
The Wiseguys TCG: 5 star quality people that work here. Gym isn't the most modern, but the equipment gets the job done, theres always a good vibe, and space to get a good workout in with no egos ! Would recommend to everyone !
Amy Carr: Wish they were open later sometimes, and they are a little light on some equipment like kettlebells, but the staff are friendly, as are the majority of the members. Good value for the money
Matt Damon: Since purchasing this and changing over to Blue Bicycle from Benefit, Jan has made great progress in getting this place updated. You can tell she puts a lot of sweat equity into it doing as much as she can herself. This gym continues to be a great bargain considering all the facility and equipment for the money.
Roger Calderon: Great service and Steve was a great tour guide, sorry I 🐈-fished.

Cycle of Heart: what do users think?
Elizabeth Dunn-Hall: Really LOVE the health & positive vibes and encouragement that Anna has brought to the Northland! Found some really unique and adorable items in the boutique! Cycle of Heart lives up to their name! Highly recommend 💜
Nishaun Sahmbi: God bless team here, truly compassionate in a rough time i had 3pm Dec 23 2022.I didn't get their name but the staff who work here are worth more than gold and deserve christmas raises.
Jordan H.: I love this place! I attended a few classes before I ended up in physical therapy for some unrelated hip issues and unfortunately have been advised to avoid the bike for now, but once I am cleared to ride again, I’ll be back. The instructors and members are so welcoming and make you feel like you’ve been a part of the community for years, even if you’re a newbie. I love how they lower the lights during the ride so you can really get into your zone and its such a laid back vibe and not intimidating at all. I would highly recommend checking them out!
Bethany Swain: The world needs more people like Anna. I was blessed to do a special event class with her in the community. I do not do cardio, and yet she was so encouraging, positive, authentic, and welcoming. It was a challenging workout and I loved it anyway. :) Anna makes sacred space for people to heal and become stronger and I highly recommend anyone give her classes a try, even if it's out of their comfort zone.
Lorren Huse: This place is absolutely amazing! The spin studio is such a phenomenal atmosphere! Everyone is so welcoming and encouraging! The clothing boutique is TOP NOTCH! It is my favorite boutique I’ve ever been to! I always find someone I like when I walk through those doors! Anna does a great job at providing a wide variety of styles and prices. Allowing there to be something for everyone! My absolute favorite dress I own is from Cycle of Heart Boutique! Do yourself a favor and go shop!!
Nader Rajab: I visiting here from NYC with a friend who is a member. Haliegh was so welcoming! I was offered a free guest pass for 3 days, the equiptment was top notch, and the entire staff was warm and attentive. Thank you so much Genesis!
Parker Swinford: Just the best place to get your mind and body right! No mirrors, no metrics, just love and support from the community and instructors. I look forward to each and every workout here, it's motivating and uplifting and an all around phenomenal workout! Love my Cycle of Heart crew! ❤️
Kyle Haas: As an adult I’ve struggled to find a place to workout. When I gave COH a shot I was skeptical it would be another fad I would move on from in a month. But it wasn’t. Each person seemed involved in me helping me become the best version of myself each day I walked through those doors. It’s a community that has always been welcoming and believes that through positivity, through putting support into the World for others you’ll be rewarded ten-fold.Whether you’re going to your first ride or your 1000th, you’ll find those 30-45 mins to challenge you physically and feed you mentally. Can’t recommend Anna and her team enough.
Kristin Hilde Belcher: Cycle of Heart is one of kind! The spin studio and the classes and coaches are fantastic. The boutique offers a great variety of clothing styles and gifts for all. I love how their inventory changes frequently and there is always something new to check out. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting.
Sarah Haas: Cycle of Heart has been a community I never knew I needed. Anna the owner is welcoming, every class is different, the coaches are supportive and fun. I recommend everyone try it once and you will be hooked!
Heather Gardner: This is by far the best group exercise experience I have had. If you're looking for a challenging workout in a group setting, but desire encouragement from your fellow classmates, this is your place! And you are support a small business. Cycle of Heart encourages participants during class, but also challenges us to live a better life outside of the studio.
Stacy A: I love everything about cycle of heart and this community, initially I was just doing drop in rides but now I am spinning 3 times a week and I love it!! The owner Anna, instructors, the energy and atmosphere is AMAZING!! So thankful to find this!
Alexandria Whitaker Cheadle: I moved to the area from NYC and was convinced I wouldn't be able to find a spin studio like the one I left behind - BOY was I wrong! After only a few classes, I was so hooked on the community and energy from Anna and the entire Cycle of Heart team, that I became an instructor myself. The power of Cycle of Heart isn't just that you grow physically stronger - you also grow stronger inside your heart and your mind. I can't recommend Cycle of Heart enough! And if you're hesitant, your first ride is totally FREE. You truly have nothing to lose!
Tony DeTommaso: The 2 women that opened this business are a JOY to work with. They have 2 concepts in the same space, spin fitness and chic clothing. I am a commercial real estate agent and had mainly worked with Anna Alessi. Not only is she business savvy, but you couldn’t find a more genuine, caring and positive person, TRULY!
Beth Rasche: If you are looking for an uplifting, judgement free, over all 'make you fell proud to be you' place to get some exercise please try Cycle of Heart! First class is free and you'll be hooked! The classes are small and the instructors know you by name. It'll be a sweaty ride that definitely gets you out of breath but you'll be so glad you went to a class!
Jp The Best: Had my first ever spin experience with Reagan Allegri at Cycle of Heart. It was fantastic and I will definitely be back!
Jamie Cunningham: This isn't just a spin studio, it is a family. You feel accepted from the moment you walk in the door. I knew 5 minutes into my first class I was going to be hooked. The owner and staff are so caring and supportive. I highly recommend Cycle of Heart!!
Victoria Davis: The most amazing cycle studio. Even during the nation shut down, this group of instructors have been beyond amazing. The technology for remote classes was great. The energy and interaction makes everyday better. The in studio classes are even better! Love this place so much!
DeAnna Walsh: Getting a membership to cycle of heart was the best decision I’ve made!!! I love everything about this place... From Anna, the owner, to all the instructors and the environment. I strongly recommend coming in to check it out for yourself. First class is free❤️Thank you Cycle of Heart for making this my happy place.
Jess Nolin: Guys! This is so much more than a spin studio. It’s a community! I have made incredible friends here. When spin class is over, we hang out for a while just talking. The workouts are amazing, the instructors are empowering, the music is pumping! I can’t say enough great things about this place. Free shoe rental, first class is free so you can try it out. Come ride with us!
Robin Bock: Cycle of Heart was the first spin class I went to and after only one class, I was hooked. The atmosphere is friendly, accepting, caring and body positive - Anna made me feel comfortable and part of the group immediately. You get so much more than a great workout here. Dark room lightly lit with salt lamps sets the mood to relax and focus only on the task at hand - challenging yourself to work harder than you did yesterday.

Fusion Fitness: what do users think?
Miller Family: This is a prime location. Fabulous area all the way around and I couldn't possibly rave enough about the programs! There is something for everyone and every body type or skill level. It's not easy to find a place to workout where you can feel comfortable in your own skin anymore it seems. Most everything out there has such a competitive vibe, it's not worth the cost and trip often enough to benefit you. So I really appreciate Fusion, you guys have raised the bar!

HOTWORX - Kansas City, MO (Parkville): what do users think?
Laura CS: Expensive to join once you buy their overpriced mat and towel (over $100). I enjoyed it for awhile and even talked two friends into joining with me. Ended up overstretching and injuring myself. (My bad- it happens. Probably not the best workout for anyone prone to injury.) Put my membership on freeze for three months. Then found out I was relocating to Saint Louis for work and not living near a franchise location. Called to cancel and was told I'd have to do that in person (they have limited staff hours). When I finally found time to go in and complete the cancellation, found out I'd have to pay a contract buyout fee of $90. Sold the mat and towel for $20 on FB marketplace to recoup a little of the costs. It was fun for awhile but having to pay expensive joining costs AND leaving costs left me with an unpleasant taste. Life happens and it would be nice not to penalized for it. Won't likely return to Hotworx in the future.
Lisa Wagoner: Great work out!
Jesse Samborski: Tamir was really helpful in helping my wife and I understand how the process works. Made signing up easy. Thanks Tamir.
Shelly Cruz: Love the staff and the workouts with heat!
Natalie Hampton: My friend and I tried Hotworx for the first time yesterday. We were offered a guest pass since we were new. I enjoyed the hot Pilates class, it was low impact but worked your muscles and the heat wasn’t too intense. The class was 30 minutes and I woke up feeling sore but in a good way. I’m eager to try some of the more high Intensity classes.
Becky K: Friendly staff. I love that it's open 24/7 so I don't have an excuse if it's too late or too early. It is not usually overcrowded at the times I go. It's surprisingly affordable for this type of boutique fitness.I enjoy the hot exercise and it helps to control my blood pressure better than regular exercise. One of the many perks to saunas in general. I view this as a Time saver in that I do get some exercise benefit at the same time as I get to enjoy the sauna.I do like the exercise in the heat. I don't love all of the virtual instruction. Some are better than others. There is a decent selection of exercise types. I do wish however that the videos were updated more frequently and that each video offered more variations to make moves easier or harder. There's a huge emphasis on isometric holds. I do not understand this emphasis on static contractions. There's plenty of room on your mat to do larger range of motion exercise that would be even more effective at building strength across the entire range of motion. There is an emphasis on very short workouts (15 or 30 min) But I end up completing two to three sessions per visit to reach fatigue thus it is not any faster than going to any other gym. That is a gimmick. They rush through warm ups and cool Downs. Stretches and foam rolling are too fast to work. If you went for only one workout you will probably be disappointed, but it works since I end up doing multiple per visit. It is true, The heat does increase your metabolic rate. That is widely accepted the research showing it dates back into the early and mid 1900s. However, the Hot Works marketing blows that completely out of proportion. For the average person the extra caloric burn is only 10-15 percent. With the short workouts, that would be like 5 to 30 calories per class. In conclusion if you like hot exercise it is one of very few places you can get that. The sauna is incredibly nice on these cold January days. But don't buy into the gimmick that you're getting more work out in less time, or that isometric contractions are a more effective method of strength training.
Llemia Grigsby: It was a great first time experience
Amanda Irvin-Black: I am totally hooked on Hotworx! The idea of "more workout, less time" fits with my busy schedule. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and having 24/7 access is awesome! I get stronger ever day. 11/10 would recommend 🔥💪🔥
Grooter: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThis is the best place to come get your sweat on! Everyone here is friendly and helpful. I can come in and do a workout and leave feeling like a million bucks!
Katherine Beaty: Great workouts and great staff! It is open 24hr so it is super convenient for anyone and the workouts save a lot of time because of the infrared heat. I definitely recommend trying this place out.
Vanae: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityA review doesn't give this place justice! I really like the atmosphere, I get in, get my work out and get out. You get a free class to try it out and the price is great. You've got to come check it out for yourself.
Julie Richards: I have been at HotWorx for a year now. I love the atmosphere, the ease of use, the programs, and especially the heat! Highly recommend. The staff is also great.
Megan Kenna: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI’ve tried a lot of different gyms and this has been by far my favorite. It’s the best of everything! Great variety, great staff and a great workout. #earntheburn

Lori Bogart: The staff is so friendly and helpful! I love the workouts with the infrared heat!
Scott Peterson: Great place to workout. The hot sauna workouts help getting back in shape so much easier. The muscles are sore but not as much. The best gym to join and start on a workout routine. The staff is very helpful, friendly and in a roundabout way, make you accountable to come work out.
K LaFleur: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityA great place to workout with a wonderful staff!!

Woodside: what do users think?
Jacob Fletcher: My spa experience with Elena was the best! I walked out relaxed and free of pain. I will definitely be going back.
L Cashman: I’m all for updating facilities and understand how in doing so results in an increase in dues. My problem is not that the price has gone up or that I don’t appreciate the remodeling, it’s that the price has gone up for a gym where shower facilities in the women’s locker room are gross. There is rust and buildup on the drains and shower heads, the mats on the floor have gunk underneath them and it smells like a clogged drain. I’ve attached pictures I took today. I hope that some of the money that Woodside is receiving goes towards the Women’s Showers ASAP!
Jesie Fiacco: What used to be an inclusive and fun health and wellness gym is sadly now snobby and exclusive. If you don’t fit the young and super fit mold (ie, the image Woodside is now attempting to create), forget it. You will be ignored, even passive-aggressively threatened by management. How sad that such a KC staple has turned into this wannabe LA gym. This is not Kansas City. Shame on you, Woodside.
Adam Benton: This has been a great club for tennis and the pool. My family loves is and it’s nicer than the cost. Dave is a great tennis pro!
Chelsea Stinnett: I love being a member at Woodside! The pool in the summer can't be beat. The club has great classes, new equipment, clean facilities, and all-around good vibes. The renovation has really taken the gym to the next level! I've been a member for 9 years and will be a member for years to come.
Emma Uridge: I joined Woodside in October 2022 and it looks like I will be leaving due to the 50% increase in member dues for current members on June 1. The monthly fee has jumped from $100 to $150/month for new and current members and the initial sign-on fee jumped from $350 to $450 for new members.I have been in contact with the Woodside membership and communication team and this decision from the owner, Blair Tanner, is apparently final. I hope that this decision will be reconsidered in light of the criticism being received.
Name: Woodside is amazing. The newly renovated facilities are super boujie. I end up spending all day there working, eating, exercising, and pool season is just kicking off. Katy, Tara and the whole team are so much fun! Group classes are great, equipment is great. Best health club I've ever been to.
Vanessa Barrientos: Not sure how you can justify a 50% membership increase when you charged 100% of the membership price for only 50% of the gym for the last 6 months. This is laughable. Would not recommend Woodside.
Julie Branson: Had to amend my original review sadly. They've hiked the dues up to $150/mo with essentially no notice to members. It's disappointing considering we stuck out many months of construction with closed or highly limited facilities. I'm really surprised they aren't giving members at least the time back they lost. The price increase is pre-mature to say the least.Original review: I think there's a perception that this facility is overpriced and/or snobby. That hasn't been my experience at all. The group classes are incredibly welcoming and the value of this place is UNBELIEVABLE. All of the cycling, yoga, and HIIT classes included, the sauna and hot tub zone with eucalyptus towels, and a place to work and have free wifi. I know people who pay $50-100 more per month for just their pilates or cycling studio. The initiation fee is a barrier to entry depending on when you sign up, but beyond that, the monthly membership is kind of a steal if you ask me.
Dylan Pierce: Classes fill up really quick. Just because you paid a down payment doesn’t guarantee they won’t raise your rates by 50%. Always a chance your car gets broken into as well
Charlie Weiler: Tara Zahner is the best! She was very helpful with getting my partner added and telling me about all the amazing things happening at the club. I am very excited for the new renovations. Also want to shout out my favorite instructor Reagan from rowing. She is always motivating and pushing us to be the best! She is a great instructor and very positive! Good vibes at Woodside
Samantha McCormick: Started going to woodside in February of this year, last time I had gone was March 2020 and I am obsessssed with their upgrades. They’ve created an amazing space at the South Club (group fitness and spin is almost done on top of polishing touches it sounds like) that is clean, sleek, and spacious and the entire club has so much to offer!! Also the Earth Bar smoothies are to die for. The membership price is completely worth it for me, I do not think it is expensive especially for what you’re getting. You can pay $150 for just group classes at other places that don’t have all the amenities and worse hours. Definitely the best option by far in KC!!
D P: Construction delays and unannounced closures for the last 6 months have been a serious hinderance to my workouts and enjoyment of the gym. Had to get a Chiefs Fit membership in January bc they were so unreliable. Was originally told construction would be done by the new year and here we are with it still going. Zero concessions made from management despite being inconvenienced and half the gym being unusable. Also terrible communication and accountability. Only reason I stay is for the pool in the summer. Just do better
Felisha McDougald CIC CPRM: Absolutely the WORST billing system on the planet, and be careful they close the pool a ton of times in the summer without notice, generally due to maintenance issues or scheduling conflicts. While the food IS good (kudos to restaurant managment) :), the customer service treats you as if you're lucky to be here :(.
Maxwell Nelson: I am blown away by the amount of inconsistency I have seen in the last 3 days. I have been a member for a little over a year with absolutely zero issues until Saturday Jan 14th. I brought my partner in to sign up and the woman at the front desk had her fill out a form on the supplied PC. That was fine, but it took forever and we needed to upload a pic but there was no camera so there was this dance we had to do to get a picture from her email - like, really? So the signup process was literally like a 20 to 30 minute ordeal. Then when it was done, we received an email saying the sign up is complete and will be active in 1 to 2 days. The woman at the front desk said "Just show people that email and you should be set." which we did and it was fine. A little frustrating, but fine.We then come back the next day, and the woman at the front desk at the South looked confused about the email, and said we need to confirm with the people on the North side. It is becoming blatantly apparent that none of the people stationed at the front desks know the policy. So we go to the North side, they say we should be good, go back to the South side and explain they said we're good and we then go workout. More frustrating but fine. Then we come back this morning, Monday Jan 17th and walk into the South side gym only to be met with the all-too-familiar confusion from the front desk person who then requested my partner go to the North side and "Fill out a waiver" What? First we are hearing about that. So my partner goes to the North side while I begin my workout and I get a text from her "They won't let me workout." Furious I walk to the entrance to find her and she tells me the person at the North side said "We can't find you in the system so there is nothing we can do."For the amount of money they require for signup it is reasonable to expect at least some consistency. There is no process and if there is no one seems to know what that process is. I have loved this place and had no issues when signing up but this recent experience has been an absolute joke. If the policy is "You can't start here until the account has been processed" thats okay, just let us know that. If the email is enough, great - make sure everyone knows that policy so we don't have to waste time. If there is a waiver we need to sign - let us sign it. Every gym and athletic club I have been a part of has this process streamlined and easy to understand. For the way Woodside presents itself one would expect something similar - unfortunately, it is the polar opposite. Unclear policy and direction with a hefty price-tag. Very disappointed.
Libby Ferguson: Wow, words really don't do this place justice! Woodside is far more than just a gym... It is a sacred space that supports all of it's members to be the best versions of themselves. Located inside this serene, safe space is a fantastic team of staff members who always greet you with a friendly smile. Joining woodside is one of the best investments I've ever made for myself.
Kirill Teplov: No, one-time payments to visit this club. for a tourist who came on business to visit the institution is prohibited. in all the states I travel there is a one-time payment. but you don't.
Dan Johns: This used to be a 5-star review but I’ve lowered it to 3.Woodside has really fallen off on their tennis program. Clinics will have 6-8 people trying to play on a single court- you’re crowded or paying to wait for your turn to play. The closing of the south courts has forced tight schedules that have all but destroyed competitive play- there’s no winter inter-club play, and club play forces play after 9 pm on weekdays. You can see members are disappointed- hardly anyone is playing. Meanwhile, courts sit abandoned because of unclaimed permanent court time. Woodside could fine people for not using their court time, but it doesn’t matter to them- they get paid either way.The gym facilities are fine. The new south club seems like it might be nice. But I don’t think the cost is worth it just for the gym. Many long time members are leaving because of how tennis has been treated. I may be joining them.
Frank McCabe: Nice
Chelsea Spraetz: Wish every city had this! A premium experience at a great price. Wonderful facility, staff, services, and food/drinks. I love the group classes and being able to grab a glass of wine or catch up on emails in the lobby afterwards. The staff is always attentive, friendly, fast, and professional. Worth every penny!
Victoria stegmann: They let other people just buy drinks using your last name no card needed for other members to run up your bill. Then they refused to meet with me!!!! Or take my call. Marissa

S J: Elyse was great! She kept an eye on me to ensure I was always positioned correctly. I appreciated her looking out as it was my first class.
Ashley Caviel: I've used ClassPass to visit CORE Strong Fitness and I've loved them. It's a great facility, offers challenging workouts, and motivational coaches. If you are in the KC area I would recommend checking them out!Adding to my review to share how great the new facility is - I've been attending in person classes for the past year. Walking into the atmosphere at Core Strong KC is unlike any other. It's super clean, organized, and designed so you can get right to business with your workout.I went from attending classes once weekly via ClassPass to becoming a full member and working out with CORE Strong KC daily. The new gym space really puts them over the edge.
Mark Johnson: Queue the theme to “Cheers” cuz sometimes you wanna go “Where Everybody Knows your name!” Like Cheers there is a real sense of community at this gym. I have been attending 3 to 5 times a week since they opened the new facility last year and my transformation both physically and mentally is unmatched from previous regimens. The professional coaching and training I’ve received plus the new friends I’ve made keeps me coming back every week!!
Kristin Tiffin: Hands down best gym in KC. The variety of classes throughout the day give you all kinds of options to come in and get your workout. Coaches are all amazing and do a great job not only pushing you but also making sure you are correctly doing the exercise to prevent injury. I’ve been coming here for three years and I have never felt burnt out, always something new you can do to challenge your ability.Facility is clean and very well maintained. Great lighting and a fun filled atmosphere. You come in as an individual and you leave feeling like part of a family.
Beatrice Sawyer: Amazing owner
Michael Lintecum: Get your sweat on with Mark, Elyse, or Becca. Everyone is caring, everyone is committed!

Tsha Marie: Amazing workout and trainers!! Thank you :)
Lauren Frey: My experience was great. Mark was a fun, encouraging, and interactive coach. The class was tough but I never felt like I had to push myself harder than I should and was even encouraged to take a break if I needed to several times. Definitely want to go back!
Jakob Olson: I had a great time learning from Mark, and others in the group! It was by far the most exciting and energetic group I have seen yet! If I’m going through Kansas City Missouri again, I will make it a priority to invest in a group TRX exercise. Thanks again for inviting me down there!
Rob Odell: This is a killer workout. Everything I expected and more. Awesome equipment. Great coaching. Fantastic atmosphere. Definitely going back for more.
Brandon Allen: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityKC TRX is legit! The coaches are friendly and knowledgeable. This was my second experience with TRX but I be will be continuing from here out. Thankful I stumbled upon these workouts.
Heather Pluard: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityTrue TRX classes with exceptional coaches and the friendliest, most motivating community in KC. You’ll get results without ever getting bored!
Christian Campbell: This gym is different then the rest of the gyms I’ve tried going to to get in shape. They have a strong fit family that is caring, motivating and understanding of all goals, fitness levels, and even personal lives. What I love most about core strong is the fit fam that I have there, we’ll hang out outside of the gym and actually build friendships. It really feels like a second home and it makes living a healthy lifestyle and being in shape that much easier! I highly recommend at least trying CoreStrong Fitness at least once!
Rebekka Hepford: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThis place is incredible! The coaches are so knowledgeable, classes are challenging but can be adjusted for all levels, and everyone there is super supportive of each other. Great atmosphere and results!

World Class Bikes: what do users think?
James Tully: Came here to have a look around. Super friendly and lovely big shop. Was helped by the lovely Anna. Would highly recommend coming here as they also run a bicyle swap from time to time which is wonderful idea. Thanks for everything
B S: Way more friendly than other bike shops I have dealt with. Really happy I bought my bike from here.
Jim Erickson: Best bikes in the bottoms! Great inventory, fantastic service!
ele anya: customer services is amazing and the prices is " Criminal" criminally cheap
Hayleigh D: Had a great experience with West Bottom bikes, I am in ans XS frame and these can be very hard to find we found exactly what were were looking for and customer service was great! Highly recommend for all your biking needs
Paul Wells: Greg and the crew are fantastic! Truly treating you like a friend as you journey through the wonderful world of Bicycles. They keep real bikes and real accessories on hand, not just the most profitable junk like the big stores, but actual products you want & need.Bonus; The test track upstairs is a treat!
Larry Hopper: Great price. Fast shipping. Excellent service.
Ausman Bossman (AusmanBossman): I had high expectations and wasn't let down. In the past 30 days I have bought two bikes from West Bottoms. Gregg and Jay are incredibly helpful and will do their best to find the right equipment to fit your needs. They're genuine bicycle enthusiasts that I enjoy doing business with.
Santiago Cuesta (santocuesta): I had a bad experience. I'm never going back to that shop.
robert colburn: They had a really good selection. Good prices real friendly atmosphere
Thomas Herriford: Very nice, helpful.
Xiuneng Fan: Just a very wonderful store:)
chris claypool: Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Jay and his team are wonderful. Helped me out in a bind with no questions asked while going above and beyond. They were extremely professional but also extremely caring. I will be using them for each and every cycling need moving forward. A pretty cool location too!
Evan Burghes: Looks like they changed names from “World of bikes”.I bought parts for a 3T. Expensive. They assembled the bike. It took them 2-3 weeks longer than they said and every time I called in the answer was it will be next week.A year later the bike has had massive issues. The crank was installed in correctly doing damage. The brakes weren’t burnt in. The rear brake fluid screw was stripped.Literally the bike has to be taken apart and rebuilt. Horrendous. Never have them assemble a bike for you.
Kristy Robinson: This is the absolute best place to take your bike in the entire metropolitan area. They are so polite, honest and reasonable!I highly recommend this busines!😎
Jake Wheeler: They are the bike shop on the second floor! Excellent selection. Down to earth bike shop. Real bike shop vibes, not a Tesla showroom. Save a few bucks while shopping with your local bike shop.
Sarah Breedlove: In 3.5 weeks, I was moving to Chicago. We were taking no cars and I decided I wanted to have my first bike. I planned to use it for commuting as often as weather permitted. Facebook friends recommended WCB as Greg is a commuter and works in the shop. The owner Jay welcomed me and quickly understood I was interested in the basics, no frills or upselling. All my questions were answered, they were patient with me as I assessed what would be best to enhance my commuter experience, and they made recommendations that increased my sense of confidence, safety, and equipment reliability. The total package of service and value for my purchases inspired me to rush home and order my boyfriend to go get a bike from them. He did. It is awesome. I have a small Marin, he has an extra large Marin. Together we are off for Chicago with matching commuter bikes, all the safety, all the bike gear, all the understanding that we can count on WCB to take good care of us and our friends looking for bikes! ~ Also, take a look at that little shop friend that just wanted belly rubs that day, such a sweetie.
M L: I live in Florida but I was lucky enough to order a Marin DSX-1 from these guys. Jay was super friendly and very helpful on the phone. They shipped the bike within two days of receiving the order which was impressive. I just wish that there was a little more padding/bubble wrap around some of the frame and parts. The seattube was scratched by the brake lever during shipping because the handlebar was moving around. Other than that I really love the bike!
gjvandyck1: Outstanding service. Great selection of bikes. They made sure I left with a bike I love!
Uriah James: What a cool shop w/ a great selection
Matt Krack: Got some tubes online from them and it was easy and reasonable, got them in good time.
