The Blue Room: what do users think?
Gwyneth Bowen: First time visiting The Blue Room for a show. This happened to be the 5 o'clock Friday night free jazz show. It was a real treat seeing (hearing) Lady D and her band! Great ambience, a wonderful mix of people in a really welcoming space. Had previously visited the museum, a "don't miss!" and was just as thrilled with this experience. Highly recommend!
Le Wilson: They only need foodService: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Steve Yaney: Amazing jazz club! Here for Friday Indigo! Great vibes!
Francisco Cerrito: I rarely review places unless they're outstanding and this venue is fantastic. If you found this review somehow, please do yourself a favor and come visit The Blue Room. If it hadn't been for my friend vouching for this place I wouldn't have ever gone and I wouldn't know what I was missing out on. The music is outstanding, the staff is phenomenal and the overall atmosphere is welcoming to new people and so positive. I want to come back even if it's out of my way just to experience what I did tonight again.

Jel Mo: I cannot give the music and hospitality of 4/28/23 off my mind. I haven't been to a Jazz Venue in some time, and the Music had me crying inside over Why I ever left. The richness of the trio playing was absolutely transporting! I'm horrible with names, but I caught one singer's name, Chloe. Terrific. A while later a quartet played that was a total joy, especially in watching the good time that Trent (I think) had, playing that trumpet. The music - great, the house - great, and the people - Great! I WILL BE BACK to the Blue Room!
Rev. Ted: Over the top.... great venue
Jaime Enrique Espinosa Galvis: Excellent and cozy place
annette nance: Great jazz
Phyllis Saphra: Fun evening with great jazz players. Woman bartender was rude though.
Clark Parry: Great music!
Jon Tom: Stopped in for some live music after the symphony and was not disappointed.
Chrystal Warburton: Nice chill place, great music
Charlene Adams: Loved hearing Jazzy Jazz on her amazing flute . Parking was great and well lighted parking lot..
Tina Olvera: Waitress asked us to get our own drinks so I stood in line only for her to take my money get the beer from the bartender hand to me and never gave me my change her nightly tip i suppose but in all the music a 10
Mara Jade: Good music and kid friendly
M Harper: Always great!

The Westport Saloon: what do users think?
Aaron Grinnell: Best venue in town for supporting local musicians! I'm really gonna miss this place after they close. I hope they're able to find a new location soon.
Ryan Kulke: Awesome live music
Aarti Pandya: This place is an absolute gem! The bouncer is friendly and the live music was awesome! We had such a great time here dancing and enjoying the music! Will absolutely be going back!
Patrick T: Warm wood and brick throughout. On warm days, they've got a wall to wall floor to ceiling garage door bringing the outside in. Great live music. Covid took a toll, the kitchen is currently closed, and they don't open till 5. Music is often old school blues, bluegrass, plenty of open Mike jams of the same. Occasionally a rock or funk band plays... (usually a fusion that fits in the nice warm space). A whiskey and beer pub. Yes, pub vs any ol bar.
Mark Zoochory: Always a great place to have a beer when I’m in town.
David Dorrell: Live Bluegrass most Wensday nights
William Dixon: My go to spot in Westport to catch live shows! The regulars are the best ever!Breezie is the greatest bartender ever! The rest of the staff deserves a shout out too!
Paul Estes: Always great live music
andy haun: I support live, local music and enjoy bars. But beer #1 was flat and too warm, beer # 2 was just too warm. After waiting for 45 minutes (after paying the cover charge) waiting for the advertised guitar player to begin, I found out it would be another hour. The guy that was playing in his place sounded as if he was making up the songs as he went along - at about 120 dB.Not recommended.
Mizzou Marine: This place is FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!! Awesome owner, great staff and the atmosphere is AMAZING!!! If you’ve had a negative experience here, you love a brick wall. Super fun!!!!
Jake Jacobs: Great drinks, great bands, and to top it off an awesome bartender! I believe his name was Will and his drinks and service were on point all night.
Amie A: One of my favorite venues to attend and play.
Katie Molnar: Really cool bar tucked away in Westport. Bartender was nice and attentive--great at handling all the drinks! Live music was awesome, of course. Lot of unique and different sounding musicians played while I was there, which is nice because it allows you to listen to music you might never would have before!
Carolynn Rose Arroyo: Cozy atmosphere and great live music! Everyone there was pretty friendly. The gentleman behind the bar, Will, was welcoming and even the bouncer was polite. Definitely worth checking out! Thank you guys for the great time
Melanie Taylor: Thank you for a great time!
Chase Reece: Cheap cheap cheap
amy connor: 10/10 would cry here again
jacob salmons: Great prices good music love the jams on Tuesday nights
John Clymore: Coronavirus and over priced drinks made the experience ok. Not a place I will probably go back to.
Phillip French: Good drinks and music
SamMarie Mayrut: Love, Love, Loved this place! was delicious!

The Broadway Jazz Club: what do users think?
JOHN JONES: Was a good place to go
Bob Sandidge: After spending a Sunday afternoon here you'll be back for more. Late night jazz club in the middle of the day. A trio that knows it's way around more tunes that you're likely to hear this lifetime. People who are gracious and friendly and moving to the music while they serve delightful drinks and, in this case, a fine steak and eggs breakfast. I'm in heaven and a heaven I would like to take back to a suburb of Chicago where I live. Were I living in the KC area this would be my regular hang. If you are visiting KC and enjoy great swingy jazz, you'll want to spend at least one dinner or brunch here. Maybe more. Anne Ward and I loved it and eager for the next visit. Oh, be sure to make a request.
Mark Delich: Great Atmosphere! Great '12th Street Jump" live broadcast celebrating Charlie Parker, August 2014.The room was electric!
Ron Braet: I couldn't disagree more with the other reviewer (and I have no personal affiliation with the place). I think Broadway Jazz Club is a fantastic music venue -- it feels to me like a much bigger version of the original Milton's on Main. And the food? If all they did was serve food with no live music, I would eat there regularly. Everything I've tried has been fantastic. I'm sad that the other reviewer had such a different experience, but I'll add that I've been several times now and it's always been consistently awesome!
Carlos Gallegos: Horrible service. Mediocre food. Don't waste your time.

B.B.'s Lawnside BBQ: what do users think?
Joel Espinoza: Amazing food. Live music and cold beer. What else do you need. Food is just amazing. I can only nit pick because I like skinny cut fries and they have thick, also I like fatty brisket and it's lean here. 10/10 coming back. Double check the live music because there is a cover charge to eat when the band is here.Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Curtis Belton: Took a visit to BB's today (6/20/23) and cannot understand how anyone does not rate this place 5 stars.First I will start with the service. Our waitress (for privacy I did not ask to disclose her name therefore I will not) greated us "hello my people." She is a genuine southern gem. Makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. Because I was so enamored with the place a pit / kitchen tour was offered. Can't turn down a kitchen tour.Second the Food. We shared everything. We got a cup of gumbo, a cup of jambalaya, the ribs plate with burnt ends, pit beans, and battered fries. Let me tell you this place stacks up to any BBQ joint in America. That 60 year old pit puts out amazing flavors from the Burnt Ends Ribs, to the Pit Beans. Stop by and give them a try when you're in Kansas City to watch the Chiefs or Royals
Mildred S: Management was great but our waitress was awful. Rude and unfriendly. Never came and checked on us then when we asked about our food (waited and hour and a half) she stared complaining.Food: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
