Jacob Kuhlman: Amazing place to train. Good people and good rolls
Charles Hiersche: As a seasoned black belt that owns his own school on the Kansas side I can say that Pirates school is THE PREMIER place to train jiu jitsu in Missouri. Pirate is the only other black belt that I choose to seek out jiu jitsu opinions from- he is a phenomenal coach and sets the standard for his students.
Michael Grapes: Great gym! Acknowledgeable instructions and friendly environment. Great for the beginner or a person with experience. If you don’t drop in and give this gym a try you will regret it.
Michael McElroy: Best grappling school in the area! Whether you’re looking for a family atmosphere, competition training, weight loss,or any other goal the staff at Pirata Jujitsu has you covered! Devin is second to none when it comes to technique.
David Hummel: Devin is an excellent coach with a legit jiu-jitsu pedigree. Knowing the material and mechanics of the sport is important, but learning that from a guy with a proven track record of dominance on the mats will take your game to the next level. If you are looking to extend yourself, Devin will bring the best out of you; pushing you to be better than you thought you could be.
JD Solinap: Really Dope atmosphere with great material being shared in the deepest depth from the Pirate himself. If you are interested with training with the Elite then this is the place to go. Be prepared for Jiujitsu at its finest! Thank you #PirataJiujitsu #TacTeam
MisterMister Mizzle: Devin (AKA pirate) has the best jiu-jitsu technique. It's so applicable that you find yourself using it immediately your very next roll. High level. Straight forward.
Nikki Rachelle: Amazing environment. Everyone has been super welcoming. My teenage son just recently started going here and Devin is such a great instructor. He takes time with each student to make sure they are getting things correct. The energy here is great. Best place in KC to learn Jiujitsu.
Jake ryan: Great place to learn and train!
Sam Redd: Devin is a knowledgeable instructor and also a dangerous competitor. He is called Pirata because he can only see out of one eye. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking to start jiu jitsu or to anyone who is looking for a new BJJ gym.
Bianca Chasten: Come try it out, friendly atmosphere and some pretty awesome people
Jeremy brick: Top notch instruction with a family atmosphere. I really enjoy this gym.

Hayden Ferguson: Great environment, nice mats and plenty of 1 on 1 time with instructors. Very affordable too! Wyatt is awesome
Elijah Irving: I’ve traveled all around doing BJJ from Japan to stateside and this is my first review that I’ve NEEDED to leave. Incredible school with a fantastic instructor. Involving Judo into Jiu Jitsu in a way that makes you comfortable and confident to stand in grappling has been a big goal of mine and Wyatt the owner and coach has done just that. 10/10 ground work coaching as well makes for a well rounded game. Is inviting to anyone who wants to train and try out this sport, as well as to fully develop your game if you’re at a more advanced level. I have nothing but respect for this gym and recommend it to anyone in KC or traveling and needing somewhere to train.
armando arevalo: I joined on a whim and wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. Great environment, everyone has been nice and supportive. Best of all the owner Wyatt is knowledgeable and skilled. I've had a blast training with this group and feel like I have been learning a lot and I cannot recommend enough.
Sled Dog: Good people. Vary welcoming. Good technique
Jarrett Black: Stopped in here while I was in town to get some time on the mats. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The instructor was very clear and knowledgeable.
T B: Great School, approachable instructors, structured environment.
John Mormino: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy oldest son started taking classes here and I discovered it I started taking classes with my son and my smaller son unfortunately things have happened and we haven't been able to go lately but as soon as life allows we will be back great place to train
Joshua Mugg: I've been training here for over 2 years. Great bunch of folks. For folks new to the sport, everyone at Wildfire is eager to help you learn jui-jitsu, whether you're looking for a new martial art or never done one before in your life. For folks who have some bjj experience, you''ll find plenty of blue and purple belts on any given night. Folks here are pretty chill. We want to learn jui-jitsu, how to fight, and have fun in the process.
Kyle Kordenbrock: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThe owner is what sold this gym for me. He is a professional who seeks to pass on his knowledge to EVERY member. What keeps me coming in is the dedication of our instructors to stay true to Gracie BJJ and the comradery shared between class mates. I am so grateful to have a place to learn this martial art.
Kaylee Farmer: Fantastic place to learn and train BJJ. After finishing each session, excited to return for another!
Josh Mormino: Simple, straightforward, safe, and most importantly, fun.
Ryan Davis: I started BJJ a few months ago and training at Wildfire has been a blast. Wyatt is a great instructor and everyone there is really friendly, patient and open to questions. You can tell everyone there loves it and they want to help others progress. For a new white belt, those qualities are of upmost importance. Cleanliness is also held to a high standard which for any gym is a must. Can’t recommend Wildfire enough for anyone looking to start or continue their BJJ journey.
Michael A. Corgiat: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
papadoza Emm: I trained with Wyatt under Professor Graeber at Gracie Humaita. As a new “kid” and him waaaay more experienced, he took it upon himself to help me along. Being older than him, I was extremely humbled by his kindness, knowledge and experience of techniques. He was very meticulous when teaching me. Then, he opened his own school and knew immediately it would be a success! His gym is law enforcement friendly and everyone respects EVERYONE. He demands respect and integrity and gives it back 100%. Best money you will spend!!
Zaymeal: Good people, Excellent training environment. Well kept and clean facilities. Good focus on learning and improving.
Brad Cox: Positive:Communication,Quality,Value
melissa Davis: The instructors are kind and thorough. I enjoy the details and the explanations of how/why the moves work. Very welcoming environment! Great for new students.
Zach Smith: Wildfire is great because the instructors really care about making sure you understand the concepts you are applying and not just teaching “moves”. If you want to learn/get better at BJJ this is the place.
Robert Ficke: I am currently a member of this Jiu-Jitsu gym. This is my second year here and I have been significantly impressed with the compassion of instructors fellow members and training partners. Another BIG plus for this gym is (and I cannot emphasize this enough) that it is well maintained and clean! I started my Jiu-Jitsu journey a couple of years ago. I walked in and felt extremely welcomed. There is absolutely no gym intimidation. The owner was away on business for my very first visit but everyone came around and introduced themselves. I have met a lot of amazing and diverse people here which is why I keep coming back. If you are tired of the monotonous gym routine or wanting to find a new challenging hobby try this place out.
Scott Mountjoy: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueDetailed instruction, fun atmosphere, welcoming to the experienced and beginners alike.
Brian Parnell: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat place to train good environment clean mats great instruction.
