Tara Norwood: My friend and I were on an urban wine tour. Jay was amazing! They are a small family-run business and have a lot of passion for wine.
Branden Olson: Great wine and a great price. The owner is very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. The only downside is they can't ship to nebraska. Boo. If your from out of town, visit them. Looking forward to my next business trip that goes through there so I can restock.
Jax Patterson Gentry: HIDDEN GEM! Cute little winery me and my boyfriend went to while visiting! The wine was from local vineyards, and was fantastic! We bought two bottles and took them home on the plane. The rustic aesthetic and live music was the perfect touch. We’re definitely coming back!

Ashley Scarlett: Beautiful, largely, industrial space in the west bottoms. Plenty of space and room for games. Super knowledgeable and friendly wife/husband duo that do everything and beyond to make you feel welcomed, comfortable and give you a great experience. 7 wines total and counting; incredible on the nose and very good overall. Sangria's have been added with a few cocktails as well. Music plays Friday nights.
Beth Wilks: Fountain City Winery was an Urban wine experience in the historic West Bottoms of KC. The wines are cleverly named after KC fountains and well designed labels represent them. We loved all of the wines on our flight... can't beat 5 pours for $8! Live music every Friday night. We'll return! Local owner #supportsmallbusiness

Awfel World: Love love love this place! Jay and Melissa are just gems of people! The vinos are fan favorites of each of the groups and people we bring. The place is in the fun rustic west bottoms and contrasts so well with the winery experience. They have been super kind to fitting us in last minute or when we make reservations and just are an excellent establishment through and through. 10/10 recommend!

Joshua Gross: Jay at Fountain City Winery was the most knowledgeable person I have ever dealt with during a wine tasting. Do not pass this place up. They have live music on Fridays and trivia as well. Fountain City has local wine unlike other wineries in KC. Go to Fountain City and you will not be disappointed. This is the best winery in the KC area.

Ashly Kilz: I had a great time here with my friend. They have a small selection of wines but the wines they did have were all well done. I bought a bottle of plum wine for my friend and she told me it was the best plum wine she ever had. I'm very excited for another friendly space to hang out in the West bottoms.
Emmalie Myers: All of the wines were very good, especially enjoyed the peach cobbler mulled wine that was there the weekend we visited. Our server was so helpful and knowledgeable, and made sure our glasses were never empty! Great place to enjoy good company, and delicious wine.

Connery Reardon: Best place in KC for wine and spirits. Knowledgeable staff and great selection
Peggy Lukken: Underdog is small, but mighty. The wine selection is impeccably curated, with something for everyone.
Stephen Douglas Bonney: My Aussie Minnie says Underdog is a must stop on every walk, even when the store is closed (as in the photo). We like to get treats there. I make tasty cocktails with my treats. Minnie eats hers on premises. My wife says the wine tastings are fun and educational.

Greg Boege: Really started getting wine here during the pandemic, and what I experienced in those trying times tells me that this is a place that will take care of you. My biggest problem is always trying to figure out how to describe what I like... I'm definitely not one of those "hints of slightly moist shoe leather" and whatnot (which is great if you understand it) So their help converting my ramblings into decent picks is much appreciated.

Michael Jeter-Boldt: Simply the best place for wine and spirits in KC. Ryan is always friendly, and makes a point to stick stuff that isn't super expensive. And if he doesn't have it, just ask.
Allison Michelle: I called to ask for a recommendation for something a little nicer than what I typically drink to celebrate an achievement at work. I explained the occasion and told them my usual selections (cab savs and dark red blends i.e. bota box, 19 crimes, apothic) and that I wanted to stay under $50. I was recommended a $35 bottle of Latta Latta that is seriously my new favorite. The employee did a fantastic job of describing the key notes and experience. He also went out of his way to accommodate my need for extra social distancing. Looking forward to my next project or any reason to justify a decent bottle of wine. Highly recommend!
