Branden Olson: Great wine and a great price. The owner is very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. The only downside is they can't ship to nebraska. Boo. If your from out of town, visit them. Looking forward to my next business trip that goes through there so I can restock.

Jax Patterson Gentry: HIDDEN GEM! Cute little winery me and my boyfriend went to while visiting! The wine was from local vineyards, and was fantastic! We bought two bottles and took them home on the plane. The rustic aesthetic and live music was the perfect touch. We’re definitely coming back!

Ashley Scarlett: Beautiful, largely, industrial space in the west bottoms. Plenty of space and room for games. Super knowledgeable and friendly wife/husband duo that do everything and beyond to make you feel welcomed, comfortable and give you a great experience. 7 wines total and counting; incredible on the nose and very good overall. Sangria's have been added with a few cocktails as well. Music plays Friday nights.

Beth Wilks: Fountain City Winery was an Urban wine experience in the historic West Bottoms of KC. The wines are cleverly named after KC fountains and well designed labels represent them. We loved all of the wines on our flight... can't beat 5 pours for $8! Live music every Friday night. We'll return! Local owner #supportsmallbusiness

Awfel World: Love love love this place! Jay and Melissa are just gems of people! The vinos are fan favorites of each of the groups and people we bring. The place is in the fun rustic west bottoms and contrasts so well with the winery experience. They have been super kind to fitting us in last minute or when we make reservations and just are an excellent establishment through and through. 10/10 recommend!

Joshua Gross: Jay at Fountain City Winery was the most knowledgeable person I have ever dealt with during a wine tasting. Do not pass this place up. They have live music on Fridays and trivia as well. Fountain City has local wine unlike other wineries in KC. Go to Fountain City and you will not be disappointed. This is the best winery in the KC area.

RedBullKC: Very, very impressive! We attended a function in one of the banquet rooms, but we had an opportunity to explore a bit! The wine was good, the atmosphere was impeccable, and the history and features of the building were gorgeous! There's several activities each week, along with scheduled dates for specific monthly reoccurring activities! Although we didn't "realize" or stay at the Inn, located within, we're going to plan a weekend getaway to experience the historical "paranormal" side! 🤞 The winery 🍷, the Inn, and additional activities make this an ideal evening out or getaway for all! She is absolutely amazing to work with and she had so many wonderful ideas to help make the party truly special for my daughter. A huge shout out to Ashley as well for keeping our ice stocked and for being the best bartender for our guests. Because of this, I’m changing my review to 4 stars because she & the winery care about their customers. We have no hard feelings & truly enjoyed our night.My husband and i had our wedding at this venue a few days ago. Madison the event coordinator was super easy to reach and get a hold of. She was the best part about this experience. She was easily reachable by email & phone call.My bridal salon & bridal suite had dead bugs in every corner which was upsetting after spending $5,000 on the venue. Other inn guests informed me there were also dead bugs in their rooms.The bar service at the wedding was terrible. I did not catch names of the two ladies, but the blonde lady who was older cut off multiple people who only had a few beverages. Multiple guests came and let me know that they had one beverage and the bar tender kept saying “ i hope you’re still drinking water” when they came in. If she didn’t want to do her job she could have just said that. I understand you have to be mindful what you serve people, but a drink or two over a few hours does not get an individual wasted. She obviously is a continuous problem reading these reviews. She also rudely questioned my bridesmaid who had not had a drink until 9pm asking why she was just now drinking. I read reviews of this and was hoping it wouldn’t happen to us but it did. She also had an attitude when we were cleaning up after the wedding. This was our day and there was absolutely no reason for a staff member to have an attitude & sabotage it.Again, Madison was amazing & i would recommend her to anyone. However, i wouldn’t recommend this venue to people looking for a wedding because of the bartenders poor attitude on a night that was supposed to be fantastic. For this reason i give this venue a 2.

Matt K: I was here for a week while in the area for business, and it was lovely. So much history, and the rooms were very spacious. It looks a bit ominous from the outside, and apparently it's haunted, but in my week there I encountered no unusual activity.What I did encounter though was truly pleasant folks while sipping on their dessert wine, called "Boo's." The kind company alone made the stay worthwhile. Should work take me back to Kansas City, I'll be staying here again.

Michael Saklar: We really prefer this kind of stay to a crowded, high star hotel. The rooms are quite large, the ambience is amazing, the management is always friendly. These are good sized rooms with separate areas. The rooms are very clean. It's a bit antique in some places if that's not your thing. Maybe I should say vintage. It was about 20 minutes from where we were headed. Hope to return soon.
