Julie Votipka: We took my parents to Trago for their first experience with tapas. They thoroughly enjoyed it! We all agreed our favorite dish was the Spanish meatballs, they were really tasty! Oh, and those bacon wrapped dates are to die for. We also enjoyed the puffy tacos, fried potatoes, burrata, steak and finished with churros. There was nothing left on those plates. You should definitely try the red sangria as well! Delish!

Sarah Smith: I’ve been before but finally convinced my husband to try for the first time this week and it again did not disappoint. They have the best Sangria in Liberty and everything we ordered was delicious and well prepared. The service is also amazing with great recommendations on what to try together. If you are in Liberty this is a great place for a girls night out or a date night with your spouse.

I think they must have new kitchen staff because a table near us complained and multiple items not being as good as usual, so hopefully that’s the case. The following details are the restaurant as we hope they can improve. Item 1 House made chips; so horrible I don’t know why you would even have them on the menu? You would be better served by done lame truffle fries.Caprese salad was excellent after we had them add the forgotten cheese 🤷🏼‍♂️- that’s called a tomato salad. Grilled chicken was tender and juicy but the seasoning like the chips were off. Tostadas, We felt like we must have just picked bad items so order the tostados to try something different and like the chips why would you even have this on the menu. So bad, we didn’t eat it. The waitress asked if we wanted a box, we declined as our dog would scoff at it. Please please please we ❤️ everything but the food-poorly executed I 🙏 you work out your kitchen/menu issues.

Amy A: We went for the first time yesterday for dinner. Place was pretty empty when we arrived, but filled up rather quickly. Shawnda was our waitress and was so helpful! She explained how to order, what are the popular items, and was overall very pleasant to work with. Red sangria hit the spot on this warm day. Shrimp in a skillet - yum! Risotto meatballs - delicious. But those churos, what can I say but can we have some more? Thanks for everything -- well be back!

Jody Murphy: Oh wow! I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. The "skinny" margaritas were amazing! Made with agave, no syrupy mixer. The happy hour small plates were delicious. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. I'll definitely be returning.

Cybil Foreman: Three attempts for a decent meal for takeout and three fails. We ordered through Doordash twice because the restaurants own online ordering wasn't working properly and when we called to order they said they were too busy to take orders. I'm aware of the staffing shortages since the pandemic & we have no problem waiting longer. One of the orders was Doordash delivery. On that order we only received 1/2 of our order. 2 of our 5 meals were missing as well as sauces, a dessert and salad. The restaurant placed the blame on the driver for not waiting for another bag but once the bags. Are set in the pickup area to my understanding that signals drivers that ordered are complete. The next visit we did curbside, ordered through Doordash. Not only was the 54th street employee very rude to about my husband not coming inside to pick up our order. We've done curbside pickup for years & had no idea that if we're getting pickup after using a different ordering method we're not entitled to curbside, which makes me question why I had added an 18% tip... on to the food itself. I ordered the baby back ribs which are not cheap at over $20. I don't mind paying that for a small slab of ribs because it's normally falling off the bone and really tasty. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Though the meat was cooked through to not be a health hazard they were not cooked long enough to serve. The meat was so tough I couldn't even eat it plus the bbq sauce hadn't been on during any of the cooking process (it normally is) so it hadn't carmelized & the flavor nor color deepened at all. It was actually still cool. My baked potato had been sitting for so long it was hard as a rock. Salad was half the normal size. My son is 5 & he's got some food aversions. He gets the kids alfredo pasta. One of the options right on the ordering apps is NO PARMESAN CHEESE ON TOP. It was covered in shredded cheese. His broccoli was partially rotten and complete mush. The meal for 3 of us with tip included was over $80. A lot of money for two of us to be left hungry due to inability to eat the meal. We have been eating there for going on 20 years and it's steadily gone down hill. This past week they've had a kitchen fire and are closed to rebuild. I hope they get some of the kitchen staff trained better while they're dispersed to other locations temporarily. It's less than a mile from our house and used to be a favorite for us.

Alan Leffler: We were down here for a business trip and it was so hard to find good food places to eat. In Scottsdale, Az we have some of the best restaurants available. It was a little bit of a shock when we came to Kansas City and it was almost impossible to find late night restaurants open that were actually good. This place was great! So awesome that we went a few times during our trip! Highly impressed. Out of the 20 places we tired during our trip, this place was number one.

I've been coming to 54 for years(several locations but mostly this one) and last night was legit the best service I've ever had at one.Our server's name was Apollo and they were so kind, attentive and aware. We seriously didn't feel like we were just a tip to them. Like they really just wanted us to have a great experience.Our food was also better than normal. My burger was cooked to PERFECTION. I always order medium wherever I go and never really get medium, usually medium well. This time it was so beautiful. My bfs steak was also perfect and juicy. Our sides were hot and fresh. My drink was delicious.I'm really not sure what they're doing differently up there but it's working. It's always been good but last night was great. Keep it up, y'all

George Michael: First time here on Friday, it was crowded. Lots of tasty food. I wanted some traditional beef, so ordered sirloin, but came out as something slightly different covered with sausage. I wouldn't order this again.
