Century Towers Apartments: what do users think?
Suzanna Lipton: KCU STUDENTS BEWARE!!! Walking across the street, which is the most dangerous intersection in Kansas City, is not worth the nightmare. There have been 5 managers in the last 2 years and they have all been rude and blame everything on the owners. There is no maintenance team. There is mold everywhere. Nothing is fixed for months. The gate is always broken so no security. They tell you they ony rent to students but my neighbor was wanted by the police. This is the worst place I have ever lived. I can't study because all I hear is gunshots all night long.
Sarah Taylor: This place is terrible for the price. It’s constantly dirty. The apartments are old and the closeness to KCU is not worth it. There was also mold in the apartment when I moved in, the lightbulbs were broken, and the carpet pulled apart when I tried to clean it. The neighborhood is terrifying and only getting worse.Edit: Cars keep getting stolen because the gate is broken and homeless people now try to sleep in the apartment complex and harass me when I go in or out.
Sahil Shah: Perfect place for KCU students. The members of the leasing staff are extremely helpful and open when listening to the concerns of residents. Highly recommend if you are on a budget.
pat shaffer: This complex is owned or managed by HH redstone. I lived in a sister property of this large corporation in Ithaca, NY. I had $75 taken from my deposit because they threw my clean clothes out of the unit dryer. Did I want my clothes thrown out? No. Did they call me? No. Where the clothes dirty or wet? Nope, I just forgot to take them out of the dryer. Does it cost $75 to pay someone for the 2 min that took? Not unless you are REALLY taking care of employees. But they new I was leaving the state and could not fight it. How much will they defraud you when you move out?
Reddit Documents: If you are an incoming KCU student, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! You don’t want this to be an added stressor when you have school to deal with. Get yourself a decent apartment.
QuackenForged: I have discovered my review has become only visible to me, I won't imply I know why. The management of this apartment building seems to only do what brings in revenue. Since cleaning the lobby and 5th floor are the most visible that is what gets cleaned. Since bringing in new residents is easier than making the new ones stay they work on adding to their numbers without conducting background checks, meaning if you have a stalker, do no move in here. They overcharge and don't reply to emails, they will inform you that clerical errors on their part will lead to you paying the difference. Other tenants have lost their security deposit to imaginary damage plus a fee for that non existent damage. Please do yourself a favor, don't move in here just because it is close to the medical school. Also if you see two working elevators don't worry they turn one off on the weekend and won't explain why.
S S: Yes Century Towers is extremely convenient to live in for students going to KCU, however safety is a major concern. The building is mismanaged with no concern for resident safety or comfort. The exit gate broke down and was left open for 8 days. It was only fixed when someone broke into the parking lot and stole a vehicle and vandalized multiple cars including mine. And at that point the building management refused to take any responsibility and we are held liable for all damages to personal property. This could have been easily avoided if the gate had been fixed timely. There are two elevators in the building, but one is out of order most of the time. Cleanliness is an issue, pet waste is found all around the property. The roof on the 10th floor leaks when it rains but noone has fixed it yet. I think when the roof finally gives in, it will finally be addressed. The windows are leaky and make very loud noises when its windy out. Makes it hard to study.
s n: I have been living here for 7 months, the windows are sealed off in my apartment, you can't open them. The ventilation is very poor. My car was hit by something in the parking lot and the management did nothing about it. The exit gate keeps getting stuck and cars got vandalized while a guard was present and management did nothing about it, even though we will have to pay for parking every month. Packages are lost very frequently. The elevators stop working frequently.Only good things are that it is within a walkable distance from KCU. There is a studying room, lounge and gym, but the machines keeps not working.
박동준: Bad experience, bad management and poor facilities.
Tajere Terry: Do not live here the management is terrible and the place is filthy.I lived her since October 2021 and had a pleasant experience up until the new management came. For one, most of my stuff was stolen out of the storage room I contacted them through email and then went to the office. The manager doesn’t even have access to the cameras to figure out what happened to my stuff but they swear it’s such a safe place to live so I most likely won’t ever give my stuff back. The AC has not been working for two weeks as we sent out a maintenance request the day it stopped working. My shower has stopped working, I emailed them twice and no answer. Jyandy was the only person I appreciated as far as management but when she left everything went downhill. As far as the apartment the only good thing I can say is the cheap rent. Other than that, there’s a huge problem with water bugs/roaches idek what they are but they’re all over the halls and one ended up in my bathroom. The gym here is not good most of the cardio equipment does not work and it’s only 6 of them and 2/6 works properly. It’s super expensive to wash here 2.00 to wash and 1.75 to dry just for both of the washers and dryers to be filled with dog hair and mold; the driers rarely dry your clothes properly so you have to do multiple small loads. As far as the actually apartment everything is small, the kitchen is small with barely any room for storage especially if it’s two people and the fridge is also very small for two people. The shower is small and gets moldy easily with no place to put soap or literally anything. The windows don’t open, my room gets very stuffy but at least I have a nice view of the Aldis across the street.I didn’t really have a problem with this apartment I just dealt with the issues because in KC affordable rent = outdated interior and constant problems but the management was my last straw.
Monica Kaur: BEWARE OF THIS APARTMENT!! They tried illegally to charge me over $1600 for carpet replacement! Carpet which was not even new when I started living there and I lived there for 3 years.I lived in at CT for 4 years of med school, 3 in the apartment in question. We had to move out early for my new job so we were unable to do a walkthrough, which I really regret now. Lease ended June 30 and I started inquiring about my security deposit August 1. A few email exchanges over the next two weeks and they tell me the check was mailed from their corporate office. I sent 5 emails and got 2 responses. Finally on Aug 16 I get an email with a statement saying I was being charged $1641 for carpet replacement. I responded inquiring about the damages, age of the carpet, what depreciation was taken into account, receipts and documents. I knew the carpet was not new on my move in and we have photos from move out which show the carpet in good condition. They tired to charge me full price for a new carpet without depreciation (I don’t think the manager even knew what that was till I emailed back). I inquired multiple times when the carpet was installed, which they never answered and never provided documentation for. Finally they dropped the charges down to $200 for floor sealing, which I paid to simply end this headache. I’m guessing they realized their illegal actions. Please please please beware of these tricks and know your rights; talk to a lawyer before paying such large amounts!! Keep good records of your move in and move out. Better yet, DO NOT LIVE HERE!PS - I personally only had issue with this place since the new manager that took over in early 2022, Hanna Ruff. I hated living there the last couple of months after this new manager took over. She does not work with the residents. For instance, we requested access to the roof for one time at during our graduation week, for sentimental reasons, lots of memories there. Access that she had suddenly cut off after all the years I had lived there. And they would not allow us up there, even for one time. Don’t expect this team to be understanding or caring for their residents.
Daniel Jimenez: This is a terrible place to live. When we arrived, the carpets were filthy, stained, and even had an old lozenge stuck to it. The dishwasher would fall out of its nook when you pulled at the handle, and we often had problems with our sink flooding. The living space has no ventilation. The windows do not open, and mold grows over the bathroom walls more than any other place I have seen. My bathroom plumbing was such a mess, that toilet water would spray everywhere whenever I would flush the toilet. The office staff treated us all with complete disrespect when the lease was up. They threatened to fine us for minor infractions and enforced an uncomfortable and inhumane system where we all had to move out at the same hour, on the same day, making elevator or dolly reservations impossible. It took them two months to send me my deposit back, and the office ignored my emails when I would ask them for updates. The check amounted to 20 dollars, as they made slap in the face charges, and had the nerve to charge for carpet cleaning when it is clearly not something they do considering the state it was in when we moved in.Do not live here if you have any self respect.
Janessa LeMmon: I moved in recently, and love it here! Management is very friendly and helpful, and maintenance fixes any issues quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend living here, the building is a safe and secure place to live while being close to everything you need in the city.
briana s: Overall: This is an amazing, housing situation for KCU students . No place is perfect, but you get everything you need and management that knows you on a personal level.Community: In my first year of medical school, I had lived elsewhere about 10 mins north of CT and when the pandemic hit I was isolated not just because of the lock down but also because I did not live in a place that had the KCU community CT does. This is why I moved to CT and have been here since! For me, the small moments of a shared elevator ride, made me feel really plugged into the community here. I love getting to know my neighbors and their adorable pets. In fact, this is how I met my partner! Moving here helped me find a community of fellow students who have helped me get through the hardships I never saw coming. Having lived elsewhere in KC, I can say that this is truly unique to CT. So if you are moving to a new place set yourself up for social and emotional success by getting your support system right - move here!Safety: Yes, the surrounding area isn't suburban. No, that does not mean CT is unsafe. For those who don't know, CT used to be a hospital. As such, the building was constructed with patient safety in mind. The parking lot is gated and you need fobs, keys and codes to get through multiple doors just to enter the lobby. Also, this building is home to KCPD. We have policemen and firemen who work here, so I think CT would be the most secure place with the fastest and largest number of first responders already on the scene if needed. I have never once felt unsafe in CT and have actually felt less safe in other areas that might be nicer but are less secure and attended to than CT.Maintenance: For the things that need fixing you are in good hands. Any time I have had a complaint or observation of something not functioning as expected - submitting a simple work order has got the job done. That said, there are things that are just part of living in a hospital building lol. We have these gorgeous, wall sized windows - but in the winter and rainy seasons they collect condensation which then melts on the window sill as we use the heater. I don’t really know what the management could do about this as it's just part of having HUGE windows (a major pro for me). Doing our part as tenants in fair ways is important too (e.g, like clearing out the air filter in the AC. Such a simple, easy fix we can all do that immediately improves air flow).Management: In my time living here, I've seen changes in management multiple times. I am unsure as to why this is, but I have had positive experiences with all the of people they brought on as property manager. The company seems clear on making CT a warm, inviting home for students as they go through graduate and medical programs. Jyandy in particular has never treated me like just another student and actually cares about me as a human being. She knows our schedules and understands the stress of those waiting in an application cycle for med school or those facing a course failure in med school. She cares and puts her whole heart into this job. When you go through challenges and need someone to talk to that personal touch makes a difference. Medical school will push your mental and emotional boundaries. Best to live somewhere where this lifestyle is not just known about but understood. My favorite perks: Free coffee and hot chocolate on the 5th floor, flat utility fee aka guilt-free marathon study sessions that keep the lights on and heat running. Walks across the street to campus keeping me active from the sedentary ways of studying and being seamlessly integrated into my daily routine. There is no need for a gym membership between the gym here at CT and at KCU PLUS the group classes taught at KCU.Good Luck! I hope you decide to check out CT and choose here as your next home!
Steven Baci: Been living here for a year now and I love it. Amenities are great- study area, lounge with free coffee, and extensive snack kiosk. Affordable and still less than 10 min from downtown KC!
Jillian LeVett: Century Towers is an amazing place to live! Management is phenomenal, Bryttani is so great!! Hanna is super good at making sure things get done. Overall, fantastic office and property!!!
B B: Resident here for 4 years, liked living here until the new management came. Now its absolutely not worth living here. Much better places to live around here than CT. Also countless issues like cockroaches, expensive laundry machines that barely do a decent job of cleaning your clothes, one of the two elevators will be out of order most of the time so it can be long waits. They don't maintain the grounds either, weeds and overgrown grass. Previous management used to give access to the roof with a great view of the city and the new management locked that. It was like one of the only way to get some fresh air since the windows do not open. Do yourself a favor and don't rent here.
Kristen Franki: I've lived here for a long while and I will say that the value is great. Good size apartments for a fair price price. Management is quick to respond to problems. Lots of grassy areas for my dogs. Full of mostly students and some others, friendly residents. Quiet and secure.
Jonathan Shumway: I highly recommend living here to all KCU students!! The management is super nice and willing to help whenever you need it. They even organize parties throughout the year. In my second year, they organized a Halloween party on the helicopter pod!!In the occasional repair or maintenance, they would come almost immediately to help.I loved living here because of the community. It is great to be surrounded by other classmates, who understand what you're going through. The library on the fifth floor is a huge plus as well. It's always a great option when you do not want to walk to campus or it's too cold outside.Aldi's is super close, which is a huge timesaver. If you are opting to do your first two years of medical school without a car, this is the place to live. Many students still do though, including me.Living here will make your lives much easier and simpler. I lived somewhere else my first year and seriously regretted it. The management is awesome, the rooms are all you need, and the location is the best. The views from the apartment complex are also spectacular! Especially if you are facing west, you will have an amazing sunset to watch (almost) every night!! Definitely recommend living here!!
Alex Youngblood: Beautiful building. Apartment was very clean. Super adorable. Gia the property manager was very sweet. Parking was a little annoying sometimes. Highly recommend living here.
Cam C: If I could leave zero stars I would. This place is horrible and way too expensive for an old student hospital they hardly started renovating with a rude manager one of the residents I was friends with when i stayed here on floor 3 had water spraying down on the floor from the pipes daily and they didn't fix it for literal weeks, also you cant even open your own windows, the bathrooms are tiny and dingy kitchen is small and the smoke alarms go off every time you make toast, the manager had all of the residents on one floor move out so they could renovate and then charge them more in rent lol it is a place to stay if you dont like to be home much otherwise you will grow tired of it very quickly. I did in fact live here for a year, the manager Gia seems to treat the students as if they are all still children. The only good thing about this place is it is across the street from the college but there are so many places for half the price and twice the privacy and space and in my opinion privacy is absolutely important sometimes you need space and some peace and quiet you will not feel that you get much of that here.

Ambassador Apartments: what do users think?
C c: If this is who Zencity with Airbnb uses don’t. I made a reservation for 12-2 checkin they confirmed them when i arrived I was unable to get the key from the lock box. I called customer service they told me I couldn’t get a refund even though it was the systems fault and that someone was still in the unit. They approved the Walt checkin took my money but I couldn’t check in. Currently been on the phone an hour with no resolve.
lord tapz: DON’T MOVE IN HERE! The apartment is horrible! Had my clothes stolen out of the dryer, filed a complaint in June Mac has yet to reach out. Just today I had my clothes thrown out of the dryer for no reason all over the floor. Drunk people are in and out of this building constantly. I’ve had drunk people try and start fights with me People have peed in the elevator! Mac doesn’t care. The fire alarm goes off all the time. Customer service sucks! I will be leaving as soon as possible and if these things wouldn’t bother you feel free to move in. I’d rate it 0 if it was possible. Putting up with all this with my 8 month old baby is terrible. Can’t wait to leave.
linga sivaramakrishna: check recent reviews of others before you lease. Don't fall into the trap of free half month or full month rent. Not worth it.Negatives:************No parking in the buildingFire alarm issues (major issue)Elevators are breaking downUnsafe neighborhoodPositives:**********City View from PatioVentilation inside apartmentQuality utensils used inside the house.I'm waiting to move out ASAP!!
Courtney Kubayko: Eric Wilson with maintenance has been to my apartment a few times for repairs and always does a wonderful job. He is super nice and great to talk to and my cat, Enriqas, loves him as well! I should also mention that maintenance has always been super quick to help with any repairs I need. Thanks for all your help, Eric! :)Also, I have been living here for about a year and love it! I could live here forever and be happy. The apartments are really cute and modern and everything you need is super close by. All the neighbors I have met are really nice as well. I lived at an apartment before with some sketchy people and this definitely isn't the case....it seems to be a lot of students and young families. Stephan was my leasing agent and he was super nice and the coolest person ever. Everyone with Mac has been great and super friendly!I know some people had mentioned issues with the fire alarms, elevators and street parking being issues. They are always on top of fixing these things and I never have any issues finding a parking spot.I would recommend definitely recommend Ambassador to everyone! Whenever I have people over they comment on it being a really cool spot. Plus there's a coffee shop right downstairs, which is an added bonus. 😊
AADCO Territory #42 Sales Rep (Nick Steinwand): I don't even live there but being across the street from frequent fire alarms and waking up to emergency lights and sirens in the middle of the night makes me think this may not be as top notch as advertised. This has been happening way too often over the 4 years I've lived across the street from the Ambassador building.
Pimpin Bleam: Great location and parking.
Ozzie Plascencia: Do not live here unless you want to deal with false fire alarms going off in the middle of the night, every night and mac properties will do nothing to help you. Such an outdated building and so overpriced. Highly recommend looking elsewhere.
Allison H: I am a current tenant of Ambassador and I would highly suggest that you DO NOT move here. I have lived at Ambassador almost six months and the fire alarms go off constantly, so far in just November they have gone off 10 times. The fire alarms go off at all hours of the day, they will last anywhere from 10 minutes to a couple of hours. There is also no communication from the leasing office at all about fire alarms, I have emailed and called but have yet to get a response.Don't waste your money by renting at Ambassador!!
Mallory K: been here for 4 months and already cant wait to move out. dont live here
Nicole Hall: Don't move here. Our air conditioner went out in April, and they "ordered a part" in May, and we still don't have air conditioning (in July). The walls & doors are chipping because of the humidity from not having AC. We didn't have hot water for a week. The power goes out constantly. One of our light fixtures fills up with water, so we can't use that light because that's obviously a fire hazard. The trash chute constantly fills up, with garbage lining the hallways for days. 3 of the 6 driers don't work right now (which is par for the course in the laundry room). We have submitted several service requests, and called in many times, and they always act shocked, empathetic, and helpful....and then do nothing. Our issues have been "escalated" several times lol As far as I can tell, "escalated" means thrown into the bowels of a volcano where they're never spoken of again. Don't move here.
Overmyer Heath: Management is turning this building into a hotel and doesn’t seem to run thorough background checks on applicants.
Olivia McAuliffe: Great location and definitely a good price for the area. I've been fairly happy with management, but there has been an issue with my furnace for MONTHS where it wouldn't turn off. It took them months to fix it and they ignored all of my requests for some kind of partial refund on our electric bills that were way too high due to Mac not fixing the system. Otherwise maintenance has been great--very fast responders and anyone who comes into my apartment makes me feel comfortable and does a good job.The units are beautiful and modern, but the noise pollution is insane. I'm facing broadway on a lower level so that's probably worse than if you were in a more inner unit, but I'm constantly hearing drunk people yelling on the street, constant traffic sounds, ambulances and police sirens, etc. Also, the windows don't have screens (didn't know that was even allowed) so anytime you open your windows your room will quickly be infested with bugs and an absurd amount of dirt. The parking situation sucks too, where you have to park along a side street and walk sometimes quite a distance. Not so bad except when it's snowing or if you're carrying lots of groceries. My car was broken into once but nobody broke the window and there was nothing to steal so it's whatever lol.Overall, I wouldn't NOT recommend it, but if you work from home and have lots of zoom calls then the background noise is a lot. The neighborhood is fun for a 20's crowd and I like being close enough to walk to the grocery store when it's nice out.
Sarah Crybaby: Just got my door locks batteries changed. Apparently it was about to die! What a scary thought, fear not - Keith Martin took care of it in about 2 mins! Quick, efficient & SUPER nice Mr. Martin was i sure do hope he gets that 10$ because i didn’t have any cash on me at the time & i feel horrible. Just know you are immensely appreciated 👍🏻👨🏻‍🔧 🛠🔐🔋
Trea Mcgowin: I needed repairs on my closet door and bathroom door and the maintenance man Keith Martin came through and fixed everything that I needed. Thank you!
Treyvon Neal: Keith Martin does great work.
Cesar Beltran: Keith Martin our maintenance guy at the building is always on top of his calls and is always so kind.
Perri McTye: Keith is the maintenance man in our building and promptly and neatly replaced my broken bathroom counter top, also replaced lightbulbs smoke detectors, tightened toilet seats, got closet doors set back on track when Id knock them off. I've Been living here a while maintenance has always been great and I've been problematic for him he's always nice. Unrelated: One of the buildings elevators is a bit slow at the worst times possible hahaParking has been a slight pain this year due to nearby construction, but I can't complain overall second Lease here ends in January 👍🏽
Mariah Putman: Keith Martin was great! Been having issues with the A/C and in this heat it was no joke. Was very responsive and helpful to get things back in working order.
Michael MacLaughlin: I submitted a work order at 11:30pm and Keith Martin was here at 9:30am this morning to attend to my leaking sink. Having experienced poor service at my previous residence, I was impressed by his promptness and efficiency. I’m optimistic about my stay here because I know that Keith is professional and competent.
Grace McLaughlin: Keith with maintenance is fantastic. Really nice guy, showed up and fixed my problem very quickly. Definitely an asset to the building!
Jennifer Robinson: Great service fast and efficient.(Keith Martin)

Bellerive Apartments: what do users think?
Allie Stella: I lived in one of these properties last year (Bellerive) and I want to share my positives and negatives.Pros:Updated kitchen appliances, nice flooring, and a large closet.Nice neighborsClose to downtown, lots of fun things to do in the area. The great gym inside the property. The maintenance men were very nice and helpful. Especially the one for my building.Negatives:Cost me 1145 for under 600 sq feet with no garbage disposal, and no adequate lighting ( had to get 3 lamps and still could barely see in my apt at night)No central air. It's run on a broiler system and you have no control over when you can heat/coolMy ac also broke at least 5 times during my year lease there. I had multiple nights where I had to sleep at a friend's house because my apt got to 85 degrees at night.Elevators were out for months before being repairedThe gated parking lot that costs 70$ a month was never secure. The gate was always open and the other gate that led to the back street was busted out for monthsHigh crime area. No adequate security. They hired a security guy but I never saw him and he was responsible for over 20 buildings by himself at night. There was shooting about 2 buildings down from mine a few months back.No adequate outside lighting. So if you are leaving early morning or late at night you do not feel safe and can barely see.Multiple instances of car break-ins and theft.A friend of mine got his license plate stolen.Dial in system to let friends in was broken the entire time I was there. There were multiple instances of a technical shutdown where you would scan your key card and you couldn't even get in the building because the system was down. The building is very old and because it's a historical building they don't have to adhere to the same codes that newer buildings do. I had no window screens. Also, most of the work done on the building was physical. The building was falling apart on the inside. Needs about 300,000$ dollars of work on replacing elevators, AC units, etc.Overall, I would rate this place a 2/5.If you love going out and don't mind these issues you probably won't hate living in this building. However, I would not recommend MAC to anyone. They are a company from out of state that is gentrifying the neighborhood and not putting any money back into the community.I would recommend looking into a more ethical company or a small landlord who is KC based and actually cares for its tenants.
Dr. Uyen Hoang: Bed bugs. Stay away
Chris Allmon: Pros: solid amenities, great gym for an apartment complex, maintenance team is the best and fastest I've ever encountered. Management is very kind and responsive. Even if there is an issue they cant resolve for me, they will at least get back to me quickly and let me know. interior is aesthetically pleasing. Overall, I enjoyed my time here for the most part.Cons: the AC is a nightmare in the spring and fall. Residents dont have personal control over when it is blowing hot or cold air, its on a sensor. So there are several months out of the year where the sensor is flipped to heat over night and you spend an 80-90 degree day with no AC. The windows are also pretty old and the drafts do not help with the temperature problems. The same happens in reverse, it may be 30 degrees out, but since there was one 60 degree day earlier in the week, the sensor will not turn your heat on. This is easier to deal with because you can just bundle up, but spending a week in a 30 degree apartment is still frustratingIf you do move here, whatever you do, avoid living in a unit facing the pool. its a migraine inducing experience from dawn to dusk of at least 3 screaming children and 4 different speakers all trying to compete to see who can be loudest on a daily basis.
Senzo Emi: 1. The window in my bedroom is not sealed and it's so load at night. Impossible for any normal individual to have any good rest. A metal piece is stuck between the window and the window frame, which means that the window cannot be closed. I could clearly hear the conversation on the street and the traffic noises. I contacted the maintenance and I followed up with five different MAC employees. 12 days have passed since my move in date and I've still been waking up in the middle of the night for police sirens and random car alarms and racing cars noises. You name it.2. The central AC is broken and the only window unit in living room does not work. With bedroom temperature around 88 degrees for the past 12 days, my bed sheet has been soaked with sweat. I paid for the central AC, which was well advertised on the website for Bellerive. The model room I was shown does have have central AC, but nobody ever told me my room is one of the "few" units that does not have AC, until I moved all my furniture into this nightmare room.3. I've been driving crazy by the noises and the heat waves in my room, but I just can't believe that MAC stopped replying my emails and calls starting this week. I sent 3-4 emails and called ten times today; nobody answered my call or replied to my email, not even once. I went to the leasing office and waited patiently for 40 minutes. The answer has always been "somebody else is responsible for this and another person could possibly help with your problems."There are many other issues as well. It's the worst apartment I've had. I used to pay much less for much better places. Look elsewhere. Don't consider this place.
Madison Perry: if you plan on living through a Missouri summer….this is NOT the place for you! They never turn the AC on in time and you’ll spend the first month fighting for temps under 80 degrees in your own home. Happens every year, every summer and somehow they never get it fixed.
Yaide Santiago Garcia: My car has been broken into more than 4 times here at the Bellerive. There’s multiple occurrences of Car break-ins a week and nothing gets done about it by police. This apartment layout and amenities are top tier but the temperature is uncontrollable, and safety is a big issue. There was even a break in, in the interior amenities. Any city dweller knows to expect some petty crime but I’m not sure this much is justifiable. Apartment price gauging for these properties is also insane. The apartments do not get updated but the rate steadily raises by $75-100 a year with no regard for keeping current residents happy. Also, interior gym times change on a whim. Management has taken four months to resolved my billing issues….. the apartments are modern and having greenery in the city is nice but I would suggest thinking it over a few times before choosing a MAC property especially if you’re paying a luxury price.
Keland Johnston: I lived on the top floor and when summer came, I was BURNING UP because they control when the air kicks on. It was absolutely miserable.. and when it was on, it went out all the time. No garbage disposal, decent lighting or ceiling fans. When I moved out, I had a balance on my laundry card and Courtney in the office advised that she would credit my account to even put the balance since the two systems “didn’t connect.” Never saw the money and when I called the office, they made it seem like I never spoke to anyone about it. I was also charged a late fee for my last month waiting for the credit in order to pay my last bill, I was also told they couldn’t waive that. Honestly, just glad to be done with this place. I will say, the maintenance staff is great and they keep the building fairly clean.
Fred Schneider: I have been a resident for a year and a half at the Bellerive Apartments property, and I am extremely satisfied with living here and Mac Properties management of the facility. It is kept very clean, the grounds well manicured, the staff is quick to give me personal help and attention, and just about anything I have reported as needed fixing has been quickly attended to. Kudos to Mac Properties for excellent management and outreach to residents.
Steve Koren: Put in a work order for my kitchen sink and AJ did a great job fixing it for me. Fast and friendly as always!
Ciara Gravatt: We have been at the Bellerive for about 2 months now & are loving it! The complex is clean, quiet, & full of incredible amenities. I would also like to give a shoutout to our favorite maintenance employee, Joe Ferro. He has helped us with several repairs in our unit & has been timely & an absolute pleasure to work with. Thanks, Joe!
Chris Blevins: Apartment is great, amenities are awesome, and very pet friendly! The only thing I have to complain about is the A/C.. they control it to where it’s either heat or cool. The only thing keeping me cool is my fan on full blast blowing directly on me. Today was 65 degrees and my apartment is 80 degrees which I believe it would be hotter if I didn’t have the fan. They had the heat on for an entire month when it was warm outside and it got to the point where I had to leave because I couldn’t stand sweating and being uncomfortable everyday. I’ve complained about the heat before but got a response saying the pipes freeze so they need 5 full days of 50 above for the cool air to turn on and with Missouri weather that’s like flipping a coin. I’ve read past reviews where it’s a constant complaint but other than that I like the apartment, the gym and the pool are a huge plus!
Josiah (Josiah Berridge): Chris Roper made quick work of my lock problem. Great work ethic. Thank you!
N W: Chris did a fantastic job on getting my air conditioning back up. I put in a service request in the morning, and it was fixed in only a couple of hours. Thank you for the help!
Garrett Fuchs: Chris Roper helped fix my A/C unit quickly and efficiently.
Kari: Chris Roper fixed our air conditioner very quickly and did a great job. Thanks Chris!
Karishma Kondapalli: Moving in was very easy, and MAC properties is very receptive to needs of residents. I had a plumbing issue and MAC was quick to send Chris Roper to help with maintenance. Very pleased!
Craig Henry: Chris Roper was quick to fulfill my maintenance request and was friendly while doing it.
Caleb Pohle: Chris Roger with the maintenance team is awesome. Maintenance issues are always resolved quickly, and it’s cool to see a familiar face each time.
Tiffany Narey: Chris Roper did a quick & great job of fixing my air conditioner!
Natalie Danisi: Chris Roper completed my maintenance request very quickly and everything was done perfectly
jessica porter (JP): Chris Roper changed out my light bulbs like a Boss

520 East Apartments: what do users think?
Ali Sayed: "Tim and KC always are a lot of help and very nice and polite. They do not make a mess and do they actually cleaned the leak. They were quick and came hours after I put in a request. Best maintenance service I have experienced."
Matt Dobbins: Does not feel secure, Vandalism inside the building multiple times. Trash rooms stink and overflow often. Maintenance constantly needs access to unit, multiple times in the last month alone. Management is very slow to respond. I wish management would respond to my requests that they reduce the amount of times they access my unit because I’m a day sleeper night worker.
Sheeba Martin: Nicely done apartments with open floorplans, great closet space, washer and dryer in the apartment is a bonus along with some really cool hangout spots like the indoor lounge, rooftop pool and deck with grills and study/work areas. Workout room has the Mirror interactive gym and a yoga studio which is also pretty neat.

Westport Central Apartments: what do users think?
Kiata Doumbia: I have been here with my husband for only 1 month but I already want to move , nastiest place I have live, roaches everywhere, cutting water off without noticing, 1 year is too long to leave in this kind of place , I should have listen to the previous bad review.
tyler “Lonespartan320” wyser: Was an incredible help getting all the documents settled and working out any issue that arose and made sure to follow up on any concerns raised
Eric Moore: Roaches, bed bugs, urine in the stairway, only one functional elevator, everything you can imagine being wrong with a place. The living conditions here are unacceptable and mac does nothing about it. Took them 3 weeks and a meeting with the resident services manager to finally respond to a bug related service request. Never rent from Mac. You will absolutely regret it. The almost month I’ve spent here has been so unacceptably bad from day one. And then when you try to terminate your lease early they make it as difficult and obfuscated as they possibly can. Don’t live here, people.
Aaron Gant (Wakai Kami Productions): Lisa is an amazing representative and helped me alot but the building itself isn’t the best place to live.
Genesis Amaro: Update: Only 1 out of the 10 washers works in a building with 200 units. They said they were replacing all of them but it’s been MONTHS of this.Update: We now have a neighbor who is threatening every person on the floor and MAC is being too slow about the situation as if this is not a big safety issue. Stay out of these apartments if you can unless you want to receive nightly death threats and not be able to get anything done about it.Going on 48h no AC. I’m posting it here because I don’t know what else to so. Maintenance and Management need to get it together. Nothing gets fixed ever. I’ve been living here for a year and I get told that it’s too hot or too cold for my AC to work? What’s the point of having it?
Sidney Benavides: There has been a lot of improvement going around. At first, I was nervous since this is my first time living on my own but it's really not that bad. There are some really cool people to catch up with and they have fun events. Check it out some time!
Pimpin Bleam: Affordable and plenty of parking.
Sharnae Hayes: I’ve read some of these reviews about how unclean and unsafe this apartment is I hope I don’t have to go through the same thing if I get to rent an studio apartment at Westport central apartments I’m just worrying about regretting renting a studio apartment there. I hope I don’t have to go through problems with maintenance, roaches, mole, bed bugs or mouses, this will be my very first time renting an apartment hoping for an good experience living at this apartment. Plus I hope that they did something about homeless people sleeping or hanging out in the lobby I don’t want one of them following me to my apartment if I get it that’ll be so scary. I suppose to take a tour of the apartment on Tuesday I hope I’ll like it. I also hope everything changed since this apartment getting bad reviews
Ale Lingle: I cannot believe this apartment hasn't been deemed unlivable yet. I moved into my apartment on September 2021 and it is November 2021, and I already want to move out. Since I've moved in, I've found bug bites all over my body. Come to find out, my unit is infested with bed bugs. A roach infestation occurred in October and even after the first spraying (might I add, took them 8 days to respond to the issue), roaches are still present in my apartment. I allowed the property to try and resolve the issue and they did not. When I requested to terminate my lease due to the ongoing roach infestation, bed bugs, and concern for safety (will go into detail later), they continued to avoid my request and put in another work order to have my place sprayed again. Also, a stabbing occurred at the entrance of the complex in mid October. After having to step over the left behind blood from the incident that occurred that morning, I was informed by several tenants of what had happened and their frustration with the property not informing us of the details of the incident, as well as several tenants plans to break their lease due to increasing crime rates in the area, in addition to multiple issues with the complex. The only email we received in regards to the stabbing incident stated, "the biohazard fluid will be professionally cleaned but that they were unsure of the timeline for the "biohazard fluid" to be cleaned up." Also, I have been unable to do my laundry in the laundry facility in the basement and have wasted so much money and time having to re-wash and re-dry soaking loads of laundry, that I now have to take my laundry elsewhere to complete. When I requested to break my lease a second time, I expressed that the ongoing issues with my unit as well as concern for my safety and well-being has not only taken a physical but mental toll on me, their response was "The lease termination fee is equal to two months’ rent is stated in your lease." It is an absolutely appalling response. I would like to see the manager live in my apartment for a day and see how he responds to living with roaches, constant bug bites, paranoia and loss of appetite due to pest issues, loss of sleep due to safety concerns and having to shove a chair underneath the door knob every night for some sense of security. Truly unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and spend an extra 100$ a month to live in a clean and safe place. Do not live here.
Linda M: Completely unsanitary & unsafe living conditions. Visited my sister who resides here & I’m shocked they think it’s okay for her to live in an apartment that’s roach & bed bug ridden. Absolutely look into another property, this place is unsafe as I understand some type of stabbing occurred here recently too?? You can’t keep your residents safe or give them clean living conditions but you can schedule services that don’t fix the problem so it’s looks good on the computer end of things, got it. Seriously, go with another apartment complex!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISGUSTING PLACE!
Scott Cohen: Complicated, but MAC properties is a great organization. They protect their residents and offer a great product.
Braden Mathews: Here’s what my walls look like. Been dealing with water coming from my walk for 4 months. Took them over 2 months to come look at it. They still haven’t done anything to fix it. This place is not clean and they are terrible about maintenance and communication. Horrible experience.
Julia Ergovich: Enjoy living here.
Dev: Awful bug infestations, constant hot water issues, constant fire alarms, and there was a fire around Christmas eve.
Luke Reuter: Absolutely awful. Crime ridden, overpriced, dirty, roach-infested and doesn’t care about residents concerns, by far the worst experience I’ve had in an apartment building. Mac properties really needs to gut this place and make it into something HABITABLE. They claim it’s a “good deal” because some of their apartments are rent-controlled but I found a clean, nice apartment in the crossroads twice the size for only $100 more. If you want a gross overpriced apartment filled with nasty people, Westport central is your place.
Michael Scanlon: Nathan is great with response time and a very polite Gentleman. Definitely hope to have future maintenance done by him.
Nick Purifoy: Nathan and his crew do great work. Thanks for your help.
chili jr: Very fast and very responsive.Thank you Nathan!Great work!
Senjuti Mallik: Superb ambiance. Well maintained. I am resident here with absolutely no problem with service available 24*7 in any emergency !👍
Cesar Javier: Floors smell terrible, you can’t cook a couple of eggs and ham without tripping the fire alarm, hard wood floors seem loose so you hear every single step you take, hearing system ain’t as good and I’ve seen homeless people o 3 occasions just sleeping in the lobby or literally in the main entrance of the building....
Beth Partin: I moved in February 1 and put in some work orders for things to be fixed. John put a new battery in my smoke alarm and Nathan checked the dishwasher and fixed the leak from the bathtub faucet and put a new valve on my radiator. I was impressed by how quickly all these problems were addressed.

Hospital Hill Apartments: what do users think?
Alexandria Paul: Pretty decent and clean facilities, and sorta hands off staff, which I enjoyed. But the walls are so thin I couldn’t sleep in my room because of loud occupants. They really didn’t enforce quiet hours here and I ended up having to move my bed to the living room because of all the noise.
Lauren williams: Honestly...just save your money. Unless you love mold and bad air quality. Lol just stay at home and transport to school from home. You aren’t missing anything at all.
Myrat Nesirov: No wifi, even mobile connection (T-Mobile) is also not working in the apartment
1234 1234: Dont even think about living here! Too much MOLD! The staff is nice to your face but when you want to talk to them and set up a meeting, they ignore you and arent open to discussing your Housing situation! AND I have written to the staff personally on 5 different occasions and all emails were ignored and I NEVER got an email back. POOR STAFF!And it's not most of the time students dont check their emails, it's most of the time the staff refuses to respond to the emails
Zoë Dunning: Great location and proximity to UMKC and other the rest of the city centers, great amenities (like a common area, a gym, and a shower rooms), and GREAT staff! Maintenance is quick to respond and fix work orders. There is a study room on each floor. The apartments and kitchens are nice. Worth the price!
Byron H.: Not really sure what some of the negative comments are. Honestly, the staff is very responsive and they let people know about things ahead of time. Most of the time, it’s just the students who don’t check their emails so they complain a lot. I’d recommend this place. It’s great!
Juan Rojo: Terrible place to live. They do not care about the people living there, only about the money you give to them. They changed the lock to my door TWICE without telling me or my roommates they were going to do, and so I was locked out with no back up key from them both times. Also they began changing the water system in the middle of the semester and we didn't have water between 8am until afternoon for multiple days. They also lost my mailbox key and I had to go months without access to my mailbox. Management is always slow to act when having issues and make their desk attendance (who are just regular students) do all the work when they don't have control to do a lot. Not worth the $1000 monthly rates. AVOID LIVING HERE.
Thomas Piper: great
Nila Pal: Very thin walls, you can hear everything going on around you at all times. Also limited study rooms, only one per floor. But apartment is nice on the inside.
notamotovlog: Infested. Friends here had caterpillar infestations, I found a millipede skittering across my living room. Something keeps biting me at night, and now the Dr has me on steroids. Awful experience
