Missouri Sewing Machine Company: what do users think?
Kara Reiff: Love the sales team!! And my first sewing machine!!
Fran Manning: Great staff
Eric Hargis: Awesome place to do business at. Great family owned business. Always very helpful and friendly.
Jackie A: Very helpful!💕
Michael Bennett: Warranty work completed quickly by friendly people.
B Wade: A bit pricey. Spouse had a thread cutting blade replaced on an embroidery machine. Part was 1.08 fee to change 80.00.
Ray Emert: Great customer service. Everyone is helpful.
Glenda Anderson: It was great the clerk found the attachment I needed for my sewing machine I'm very happy going to retreat tomorrow
laura K: If you want to shop from people that are friendly and knowledgeable go here.
Sophia Newman: Even though I made it clear I was not in the shop to buy today but am looking for later when I save some money, the ladies were very helpful, informative, attentive, and wonderfully pleasant! They treated me as though I was valued. When I am in a spot to purchase my next machine I will be going through them!
Hailey Sipes: I had a great experience buying a new machine here. Sherrie assisted me. She asked what type of sewing I do and showed me machines in my budget. She pointed out which of their features were different and which would be helpful for me specifically. She even walked the new machine out to my car for me.
Madison Durham: I had my weird sewing machine (a Shark by Euro-Pro) serviced here and had a great experience! Because everyone is picking up new hobbies now, the waitlist for repairs was quite a while (7 weeks when I dropped mine off) but it was only 4 weeks before we got the call to pick it up! It's working great now and I am happy that I chose to fix it there; Now I know of a great local place to buy supplies from rather than the big box stores!
Teresa Vohsen: I went to get my sewing machine fixed and after a cost analysis, it was cheaper to get anew machine and the staff was so helpful to get me what I needed!
Debi Jackson: Theresa was absolutely wonderful. Bought a new machine. Over the top customer service!!!
Dr. David Knox: Wonderful place to find a machine that will do the job. Experienced sales persons who know the machines and brands.
Erica Rainae: They said they had prewound 90wt. But i got 60wt sold at a huge price. Not happy
Dianna Smith: Great customer care. Nice store. Great selection of sewing machines. Talented repairman
C Ditton: Ruth is really nice. They accommodated my need for no contact due to COVID-19 and came out to get my machine from the car and the same for picking up the machine.
Rick George: Very friendly and accommodating! Patient with customers to answer their questions!
C & T Schroder: Answers all my questions.

JOANN Fabric and Crafts: what do users think?
Terri Murphy: The cashier was very kind and helpful. I love shopping at JoAnn's and being able to stack coupons! I am sad that JoAnn's no longer has the craft classes that they would have prepandemic.
Jacquelyn Gibbs: I visit this store quite often. The employees are really nice, but they are always so understaffed that they can't help customers. The items I need have been in the store since last week but they're still not on the shelves. The employees are unable to help me because they have to stay on task and I'm told I cannot order online and wait outside because they can't get to it today.
August Allen: Every time I go in, they have good sale but never follow though with then
Nera Engem (FlyingDingo78900): Had a large store but not lit well. Had alot in stock
Karen Woodward: Wonderful
Joshua Stamm: Really helpful staff, always helping with discounts.
Michael Pierce: Great place to park a vehicle when it broke down
Chrissy Rochelle: Been working on a few home DIY projects and needed some synthetic leather fabric and foam for large ottoman table I am making from an old table. I was able to get all that I needed on a budget, even decor tacks and staples for gun. This store has the best staff, who are friendly, helpful and efficient. I get many of my needed items from them. They have everything from fabric, art supplies, hobby and specialized craft kits, tools, boards, and canvases....honestly feels like craft heaven! I love the variety and I was probably longer in there than I'd planned. The store is huge:)The only slight pain point is the cutting table. It gets a bit busy and many times just one cutter and a long line of people. If they manage that better, they'd be one of the best stores all around.
Nancy Geary: Very friendly and helpful
Shelly Kelly: We went there to find needle threader. We found them
Dianne Dyer: Closest craft supplies store to my home. I'm there often.
Carol Pifer: Looking for st Patty's decorations
Hunee Cwms-Graham: Will NEVER go to Belton location again!!! Unwilling to assist customers if it deals with walking no acknowledge of customers waiting
TheMrsBunch: Nice people. Large selection of a variety of craft supplies. Good sales regularly.
Rydel Van Dyke: I stopped going to this store because I don't like standing in the checkout line 2-3 times longer than it took for me to find what I wanted. 1-2 registers open, regardless of how many people are waiting to check out, is normal. What's the point of having multiple registers if you're never going to use them? The last two times I went, the line was so long that I got tired of waiting so I put the merchandise down, walked out and went to Hobby Lobby. Other than that, it's a pretty good store if you don't mind standing in the checkout line for an unreasonable amount of time.
Tracy Johnson: Always good finds here.
Verna Rice: My favorite store!!!!!!I always find everything I need when I go to JoAnns. For sewing to any craft project.
Angela Johnson: Great inventory, Knowledgeable employees and alway greet me with a smile! Love this place for all met craft projects
Chris Jordon: The cashier 669344 was incredibly rude to the customers before me. I won't be returning to this location.
Almitra B: I visited after several years and was overwhelmed with how much they have to offer! I was able to get everything I needed to make this doll and more!
Marcia Ebert: Great service very helpful and friendly

C. C. & Company: what do users think?
GreggsBecky Moore (GreggsBecky): A lovely shop! The people here are so helpful. Love this place!
Lorenia Lemas: Great selection of charts (for any season) and if they don't have it they will order it for you. Great services, nice bunch of ladies.
Emily Blackie: Large selection of patterns. I usually try to go to local stores for my supplies to support sml business owners, but the experience wasn't worth the 45 minute drive. The area is kind of run down and creepy. I bought a piece of linen for a project which was cut incredibly crooked. The lady at the counter seemed to struggle with basic measurements and cutting straight. The linen is about 1.5 inches off on one end compared to the other. The workers seemed more interested in whatever they were doing in the back than talking to me. The displays were impressive as well as the selection. The prices were a little high, but I usually expect that in small stores like this.
Rob Sturges: Wonderful people. Re matting my print made it look brand new!
Kristene Alexander: Awesome customer service.
Patricia Beidle: The ladies are very helpful and they have a good selection of crosstitch supplies
T R: Serendipitous craft and framing store tucked away in Blue Springs, MO conveniently off of highway 40. Hundreds of counted cross stitch patterns to choose from for every occasion. The helpful store owner also happens to have her own adorable pattern line -- Rosie & Me. Framing available, as well. Lots of great ideas for crafts or gifts.
Eva Hernandez: Great customer service. Exceptional selection of counted cross stitch patterns and threads. Probably the only store in Kansas and Missouri where you can actually talk to someone who can help with your cross-stitch questions or problems.
Richard Fitzgerald: This store has a good selection of patterns, threads, and accessories. If they frame their many models, then they do good work. There was one customer and two workers when I entered the store. The woman not helping a customer looked out from her office area when I entered. Neither worker spoke to me. Neither interacted with me. I stayed long enough to look at most models and every display of patterns. No one acknowledged me. I left this very unfriendly establishment with something I wanted to purchase but didn’t because they weren’t bothered to sell it to me. I’ll order it online from another shop that wants business. I found the entire experience sad.
Chris Carver: Lotsa cross stitch stuff. Accessories, fabric, patterns, kits - all kinds of goodies!
Christina Mouse: Wonderful help with a project. Would go back
Kim Law: Wonderful selection of patterns, fabrics and threads. Very friendly staff.
Christy Hiestand: The folks at C. C. & Company are willing to help you with all your cross-stitch needs. They'll cut any size of linen or evenweave fabric you need with a myriad of colors to choose from. They even surge the edges for you to keep them from fraying. Great place for the beginner or advanced cross-stitcher!
Pam Lassen: This is a great store. The owner and staff are wonderful and very helpful!
Krisan Mitchell: I did a websearch for them- their website hasn't been updated since March 31, 2007! REALLY? what Century are they in?? The hours open is also incorrect-

Missouri Sewing Machine Co: what do users think?
CLAUDIA DUFF: It was the most enjoyable buying experience I have ever had! Jamie at the KC downtown center was amazing. She explained all the things to me. Sat with me while I test drove one feature after another. I absolutely loved working with her on this purchase. I went into the store with lots of questions and I walked out with a beautiful machine that will meet all of my needs.
Stephen Person: Very helpful and friendly people here!
Cindy Miller: We moved from St Louis to Kansas City. We dismantled & reassembled my long arm quilting machine. And sadly, it wasn't quite right. One call to Jeff, and he came out, fixed our problem, leveled my machine, and has me humming again! Jeff was efficient, friendly & knowledgeable about my Babylock longarm!
Sharon Wuthnow: The staff is helpful and friendly. Great explanation of each machine. Definitely glad I went there instead of buying online.
Sharla Riead: I was in a panic. Sewing for my daughter's wedding when my machine stopped working and jamming and messing up. I chose to go to Missouri Sewing Machine Co because they have been operating in Kansas City forever and I needed someone with experience. They immediately ran my machine through is paces, looked at the examples I brought in of what was happening, and determined that I was just using the wrong thread weight and needle for the buttonholes I was attempting to make. They helped me determine the correct size needle and thread and I was back in business! I am so grateful that they not only helped me, but didn't make me feel dumb, even though it was operator error. They treated me with respect and could not have been nicer! I will be bringing my machine back for a complete clean and tune up after the wedding.
aivilO: Such a cool place to visit, everyone was so nice and helpful!
Nicole Smith: Very knowledgeable, helpful , and reasonably priced.
Amy Chapman: I'll change this review if something changes but I need a commerical machine serviced and I talked to Jeff today. He was a complete jerk to me. I was told to call and tell him what day I was coming. I called and said Friday and was told he cannot do Fridays due to being out servicing other machines. Ok, so I asked what day. He said Saturday. Unfortunately I cannot do Saturdays. When I said that, there was nothing but silence on the phone. I then said, ok what other day. He said you tell me. Well clearly there are days he can't do, I don't magically know his schedule.I used to love this place, but will now be looking elsewhere if this is how they are going to treat a long time customer.
Scott Guthrie: I had the good fortune to meet Kelsey who not only sold me the thread and seam ripper I was looking for, but turned me over to Mark when I mentioned I was having tension issues with my machine. Mark took one look at it and saw the missing pin behind the tensioner. Within minutes he had a replacement in and I was off and running! Because of this kindness I was able to finish sewing curtains with a friend nursing a newborn baby and meet with a neighbor to show her how to correctly manage tension on her machine. Missouri Sewing Machine company showed me kindness, shared knowledge, sold me the things I needed, made a great repair on my machine and all for real value! Good service, kindness and compassion for strangers is always a winning combination! Love runs down hill and brings joy to all! Thank you both!!
Justin Colvin: 100% an absolute treasure! This store is worth its weight in gold! We drive across the state with a smile on our face to see them!!
Lillian Uding: Just purchased a machine for my upholstery business. Curt was very helpful answering any questions and demonstrating how to upkeep the machine. The ladies working were very helpful and friendly as well. Would definitely recommend for all your sewing needs!
Michael Squires: Dropped off a surger for service.
Daniel Green: Nice people, a whole lot of options for sewing machines and repair
Angela Marie: This is a cool shop... conveniently located near many busy and highly traveled streets in the heart of KC...ample and properly engineered parking lot, not far from gas, food, or lodging.
Anna Hawley: Wonderful staff. The gentleman there helped walk me through a older machine and it's parts so that I could work on a new project. Great service!
Sherry A: We ONLY SHOP this BUSINESS for our NEEDS ! Because we Get Honesty answers and Great Prices, and The Best Service in Missouri ! Love the showroom and People who Work here ! Harper's Fabric & Quilt Co: what do users think?
Taylor Westfall: Took a hand embroidery class with Jackie and absolutely loved it! The shop is adorable and the class was affordable and informative. Will definitely return.
Lucy Hoffman: This store has some cute fabric! I’m giving it a below average rating because I feel like the service is poor. When I was younger, I took a sewing class and the instructor was very… cold and nit-picky. If you have a beginner wanting to learn, I feel like the classes would turn them off from ever learning. Maybe they’re better for people who already know how to quilt and just want to meet people? Anyways, I returned recently to browse and wasn’t greeted at all. When I went to the counter to ask a question about a machine, the lady was short and condescending. I’m disappointed because I love how warm the sewing community usually is, and I love to shop small, but Harper’s leaves me wanting to run to JoAnns instead.
Debbie Stanton: They had replacement bobbins and needles that I wasn't able to get where I get my machine fixed. Glad to know I have somewhere else to get my sewing machine accessories.
Alycia Maurer: They maintenanced my Viking sewing machine at a very reasonable cost and with quality workmanship. I love to buy fabric and notions for my Viking machines there. Looking at taking a class!
Kortney Mettle: This is a great shop and I really enjoyed the class I took. You can tell, they know their customers and community very well, everyone that came in was treated as family. The selection of fabrics, is fantastic, they seem to have something for everyone and are willing to lend a hand as needed.Happy to take more classes soon!
Kastian “Kas” Slayton: Good but pricey
Richard VanDyke: Large inventory of everything wanted and exceptional staff.
Pat Vaughn: Good variety of fabric and patterns
rrw jes: I have shopped and learned at Harper’s for 25 years and love this gem of a shop. I feel inspired the moment I walk in the door by the proliferation of color, art, and imagination! The knowledgeable instructors have helped me improve my construction techniques so my garments fit perfectly and my fabric creations look beautiful. They carry some whimsical fabrics I haven’t seen elsewhere. Elaine taught me the secret to interfacing and stocks unique products I didn’t know I needed until I used them. I feel at home here among the sewists.
Audrey Martin: Beautiful shop, friendly people working I loved to variety
Claudia Tang: Great! Super friendly, a big store with lots of space to spread out. Very clean and bright. Fat quarters are displayed right next to their line/similar lines. I went to pick up a print that I saw on their Facebook page, and I honestly thought it would be more expensive than it was. Maybe I'm used to much more expensive independent quilt shops, or markups for brand names (this was moda), or who knows. Also easy to get to and walk around. There's easy parking nearby. Will come again, will probably take a class and get my machine serviced here and my scissors sharpened. One thing-they don't take American Express. This is pretty common so I'm not gonna count it against them, it's just something to know, if that's what you have.
Erica Rainae: Simple easy fast
Suzanne Maschler: I moved here from Oregon, where I had an outstanding Husqvarna machine dealer. Returning to Kansas, I struggled to find someone who knew anything about my machine. Yes, Joanns knew a little....but were hard to deal with and Missouri Sewing machine was very accomodating, but again...knew little about my machine. So happy to find Harpers! They are very knowledgeable and accommodating. whew!
Kim Gerber: I love this place! This quilt shop makes me happy. I visit the shop typically once a week, check out the latest fabrics. Last Sunday's visit, there were plenty of quilts displayed on the walls, along with beautiful fabric choices, as we move into the new year. I was a bit confused trying to pick a fabric for my class. I was helped so well, as she helped me choose a few fabrics that would look nice together. Caring and thoughtful. I have taken Friday studio classes , a big stitch hand sewing class, currently taking in a Little Jo quilt class, an all day beginner sewing class, a paper piecing mini quilt class. All instructors are hugely helpful, encouraging, and know their craft well. I have a 1965 Singer sewing machine that needs a tune up every so often. Harper's keeps my Noni's sewing machine in tip top shape. My sewing machine is cast iron. Weighs a ton. I am able to call ahead, borrow a sewing machine to use for a class. During the summer time, I enjoy seeing all the young people taking summer sewing classes, creating fun projects. It is not always easy to be a small business, local owner, trying to do their best to serve their patrons well. Most appreciated and thank you!
Rose Barrow: Great shop. Wide open and loaded with fabric, notions and machines. The sewing classroom was awesome. Highly recommend.
Lynn Liikala-Seymore: Always motivating. Staff are genuinely helpful.
Gayle Morris: Wife and daughter took class and please with teacher ,Mary. Very knowledgeable and patience with beginners.
Karla DeLoach: I like the layout of the store. But both times that I have been there the reception has been lacking. I would recommend for the actual products they have but the customer service was rude enough that I will go to the other store's. I shop quilt/fabric stores all over the country, so I'll be fine looking for products.
Denise Murphy: If you want to quilt or take quilting lessons, this is the place to go. They have wonderful classes and their inventory of fabric is unbelievably vast. Steak it new patterns, new Fabrics, new books all the time. So there's always something new to look at, or, TO BUY! Very knowledgeable people and very friendly.
Dianne Kester: Very nice shop with lots of beautiful fabric. But l walked no one to welcome me, I wandered around for about 5 min. No one ever came to the front. This was my first time in the store customer service very bad. I finally had to go to the rear of store to find help. Too bad. It is very good selection of fabric.
Jessie Mehl: I like the many projects they put on display. It's not a huge shop, but they have a good assortment of fabric and quilting items.
