Nathan Sherer: The restaurant was very clean. All their food is good. I have never had anything of theirs that i didn't like. Tonight I had the ribeye. It was so juicy that it almost melted in your mouth. I had their seasonal strawberry pecan salad. It also had grapes and mandarin oranges. It was fantastic! I don't think they have a bad dish on their menu.

Kc Stangel: Without doubt the "ultimate" steakhouse. Choice of great cuts of meat... Well prepared to order... and served by a friendly staff. For all that you get, the prices are very reasonable. I ordered their Porterhouse. I got 2 meals out of it. I was not embarrassed to ask for a "doggie bag" (and it wasn't for the dog)! My wife and I have been here twice... I'm sure there will be a 3rd and beyond.

M G: First, the meal wasn't served inside the Hereford House, being that it was Mother's Day it was served in the Banquet Hall adjoining to the Hotel..I'd say it was organized chaos..the food was in abundance and it was several things to choose from but because it was in Giant pans under heat a lot was overcooked and some of it wasn't good considering the price was 39$ per person. It was 4 of us and they put gratuity on our bill, which we weren't made aware of before hand. As I said several food items to choose from but not worth 39$ and additional gratuity wasn't appreciated ..also because it was 2 and 2 myself and my son...my friend and her daughter. I wouldn't do it again. Lacey Fine: Took my bf's mother here for Mother's Day. The appetizers weren't really our favorite, we felt the mushrooms were a lil too salty and the spinach dip had a weird sweetness to it but that could just be how we thought it tasted, they were present freshly and looked good. Our steaks were amazing. We got The Ribeye, Cowboy, and Prime Rib. They were all cooked perfectly rare and seasoned amazing. The waiter (Drew) was super nice and attentive even though he was so busy. Poor guy was running back and forth the whole time. He did a great job with the bread pudding fire display though! Quite fun to see and it was delicious.

Stan Conner: I am so bad at names... We ate here Monday the 17th 3pm. I overheard they were short servers. The young man that served us was so personable and very attentive to our needs/requests. The food was cooked as requested, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and we did not feel rushed. When we were ready to leave, we did not have to wait long. As I said, our server was attentive and checked on us continually. Great food, great friendly staff, and great atmosphere. We will be back!5/14/23 Very disappointed. Ricky H: A very interesting experience, you make you own little bowl thing. I skipped all the noodles as you pay for a bowl that you can fill up with whatever you want. Has a ton of options to choose from, did steak, shrimp, bacon, with onion, bell pepper, mushroom and paired with a Korean bbq sauce.The one thing that is a little tricky is knowing how much salt to add, I had to add a little at the table.
Scott Strahl: Went tonight and the food had had black char on it after it was cooked which caused a bitter taste. I am giving it 2 stars because of this visit. Every other time that I have been there the food and service was great. I normally get unlimited but tonight because of the taste only had 1 bowl. I always look forward to going to eat there but after this experience I don't know when or if I will be back.

William Tate II: Burnt.. The grill is too hot too on the middle and outer ring. The guy grilling simply did not care and said to just get a second bowl and that it wasn't his problem. What was salvageable had charred flakes all over. Even my daughter's plate that didnt have any saices in it was charred and the noodles were burnt to black. This was the worst BD's I have experienced. The waitress Jenna was polite and apologetic, that's what salvaged an all one star review. Leaving with charred bits in my mouth and on my teeth, and the need to find lunch elsewhere now. Not worth the time or money.

KSM M: I still cannot find anywhere, where they published the Mother’s Day brunch menu. Do not advertise it as a brunch when there is not a single breakfast menu item available. Do not take reservations at 10:30 AM and off for coffee and mimosas, when there is absolutely nothing, you are serving that makes sense with those beverage items. the menu was very lacking and the steak was over cooked. They were not keeping up with changing out the items that were empty so no one was following a line. If they saw that the risotto had been refilled, people were just stepped right in because they had been waiting. Unlike their brunch we were used to, there was no selection of desserts. In fact, our server told us desserts were included as we asked for a check. The cheesecake we received was warm. Seriously… Warm. Our server was very nice and we didn’t ask for a manager to complain because who wants to be that person on Mother’s Day. But we will never ever go back.
Elizabeth Mitchell: Not a good experience. Went for Mother’s Day, it’s like they didn’t plan for it to be busy. The hostess was rude rude rude. We had to wait for her to stop and yell at the kitchen staff as we passed. I watched them make an elderly lady struggle up a step to her table. Like they can’t accommodate handicap/elderly people..? It was SO hot. It was supposed to be a brunch but there was nothing breakfast related..? The food that was there was okay but it was a buffet and they weren’t keeping up with changing out the empty dishes. A huge fight was happening behind the bar. The staff were screaming at each other and dropping fbombs. So unprofessional. The cheesecake was warm. 48 dollars a plate not worth that at all. Our waiter was stretched between too many tables and he was trying to keep the peace between the staff that were fighting. He was hurrying but everything he did took 10-15 minutes. We were there for two plus hours. When he brought the check he didn’t give us a pen. I had a small child and did not have anymore time to wait for a pen. I went to ask the hateful hostess but she wasn’t there. The line of people waiting to be seated was out the door. I just reached behind the host stand and signed my bill with a crayon. You can tell by the lack of owner interaction on their Facebook and google review pages that the owner obviously does not care. You could not pay me to go back. What a waste of a Mother’s Day.
Danny Smith: We went for Mother's Day brunch. Several problems: They've raised the price to the brunch drastically. And food lacked seasoning. Example: the polenta, risotto, corn, and shrimp and grits( lacked shrimp) were all seasonless. The chicken was something you'd make at hm. The ceaser salad was turning brown. The back room was warm. The live music was too loud. Dessert was also scarce and only 1 per guest- so much for a buffet. You could tell the brownie was frozen. Plus the brownies wasn't even uniformed.

Dani McPeek: We’ve heard nothing but good things about Ophelia’s - we had it on our list to try during Restaurant Week but it just didn’t happen. We have a YouTube channel about all the things to see/do/eat in Kansas City so we’re always itching to try new places…not just to try it ourselves but also to share it on our platforms for other people to check it out too! We had a lovely experience… kinda felt bad that we were more casually dressed, but we still had a great experience. Our food was great, the live musicians were absolutely lovely, and the environment felt warm and magical. The apple crisp was SO SO delicious.

Lynn Stewart: We had a Bachelorette party here (ate in costume before going to the real party). The service for a large party was great. The musicians serenaded the Bride to be and even took pics with us. The staff handled our craziness very well, the manager came by and offered her blessing too. K Mc: OMG! The food was AMAZING! I had the biscuit and grave with homestyle fries and a waffle, believe it or not, way to much food, could not eat it all. My Grandson had everything but the kitchen sink and let me tell you this boy can eat ( he is 18) and he couldn't finish it all. Definitely worth the trip and money. Yvonne Moss: Me and my friend went here today for the first time for lunch. I ordered a lemon drop & shrimp scampi from the appetizer section, my friend ordered the muscles. When I say both orders where so huge that we did not have room to order a main. The shrimp scampi was very different but very good. I would like to really thank Jasiah for being so helpful with menu and explaining the different menu options. You can tell it’s a regular by the way these two girls treated him! It was his birthday, and they wished him a happy birthday. They said they had cards for him and this is just a man that comes in to eat. Nothing special, but you would’ve thought this man was someone so important today by the way they treated him. The two girls were Adriana and Timberlie. They were so sweet and patient and loving towards us guest! We should all strive to treat everyone the way These two girls treated this regular. It was a very sweet and heartwarming thing to watch! These two girls completely turned my experience around! And I will definitely be back here!

J. A.: My family has been going here since I was a kid, which is a longer time than I care to admit. The zip burgers have always been and still are my favorite. The onion rings are fantastic. The wife loves the Buffalo dogs and deep fried burritos. I try to take my friends here whenever they are in town. Once you've had Mugs-up, a Maid-right loose meat doesn't come close. A great local place with quick service and friendly carhops. Give it a try.
