David Gojira: Not used to creating my own ramen, but was able to get mine right. Sugou and oishi. The fried rice was spot on in flavor. The karaage chicken was different. Felt like process chicken nuggets, but tasted fine. All in all I recommend this joint, delicious food. The inside is clean and felt like a typical ramen place in Japan. It’s a Go and Eat recommend.

Octo K3: We were excited about trying a new ramen place up in Kansas City and came across Mama Ramen. It was a nice surprise to discover we get to build our own ramen here, along with a boba tea, if we chose. It didn't take long for our ramen to reach us and boy, was it great. The appetizer came out shortly afterwards and was just as amazing. Definitely a great place worth going back to in the future. Parking is limited, so find a spot, pay the meter, and come on in!
Payton Templeton: The crab rangoon was good but the ramen is what I “came” for. The meat looked beat up (not in a good way) & the dish smelled horrible… I mean, I mixed my noods with the broth and couldn’t continue after one bite horrible. I was really looking forward to ramen so maybe I’m biased but I was ~extra~ disappointed. I might consider trying this place in person but won’t ever order take out again.

We were sitted at 6:50. We waited 40 minutes before we got our salad. We were serviced our meat before our rice. The food order contained errors. When we complained to the management, they said our party was not there on time. The customer service went down hill from there.

J Bern: I ordered the fried chicken curry and it came out quickly and was very tasty. The waitress was very nice. Their drinks are non refillable and water bottles will cost you $1 each but you are able to bring your own drink! I would recommend this place for smaller groups of 4 or less. It looked like there was a sweets shop in the same building, unfortunately they were closed when we went.
James: This is officially my favorite restaurant in KC! The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly, with beautiful art on the walls and lots of natural light. Everything on the menu looks amazing and was obviously curated by the owner with a lot of care. The salmon onigiri was a great starter, the shrimp and calamari were so fresh and cooked perfectly, and the sasadango dessert imported from Japan was light and refreshing. The person who served our food was so nice and gave us recommendations for our food, which I really appreciated. This is a great place to go if you want fairly priced, delicious food that won't make you feel heavy afterwards. I feel very happy knowing I supported a small business and an owner who has very caringly brought fantastic and fresh Japanese cuisine to KC.

Texture of the dough was a bit too raw tasting for me but still good. Next time I would like to try the Ramen. I liked that they had outdoor seating as well.

Clarissa Votipka: Grabbed a Tonkostu Spicy Ramen bowl to go for lunch. Everyone was friendly when I went in and the food came packed up nicely in a little bag with the broth separated from the noodles and meat. It was super good. The egg was made perfectly and looked beautiful. My only complaint is that the ramen wasn’t as spicy and the chashu was kind of hard to chew. I wish it was more tender. Max Burr: Aoyama is easily the best ramen joint I've been to in town. Concise, businesslike menu with a likely underrated rice bowl selection, alongside informal hole-in-the wall location, and speedy service. They have a wide selection of add-ins as well, so you can make any dish your own. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or a date. Prices are very affordable as well! A must-try!

I have the Aoyama Spicy tonkotsu ramen, and the broth was other worldly. The service was friendly and fast and the restaurant was clean and modern. Highly recommend and I will be back!
