Both my kids graduated from there; not only did they receive a top high school education, they were academically prepared for college. The fact that they attended an urban, diverse, challenging high school school helped prepare them for life - and gave them a distinct advantage in the college application process.

D: My girlfriend got a HS diploma from this place and everywhere she goes to apply for a job, they tell her that she doesn't have enough credits to be considered a HS graduate. Kind of a joke if you ask me. Why would you hand out a diploma that doesn't qualify for what a HS diploma is?

QI darden: Very disappointed in this school has I had high hopes and faith in what they are trying to display. It’s been a on going bullying issue (HAVE BEEN FOR A WHILE, AND BEEN TRYING TO GET IN CONTACT WITH TARA HAKINS THE DEAN SHE NEVER RESPONDS) so my daughter was afraid to go back to class texting me from the RESTROOM because of the continuous bullying and teachers & staff does NOTHING my daughter is a IEP student in kids have been bullying her because of it as well something my daughter has to deal with daily I was wondering why my daughter didn’t want to go to school. I HAVE PROOF OF ME (parent) REACHING OUT ON Numerous occasions to staff and teachers. And instead of the staff reaching out to me they did not. It seems they Only worried about the image to the community PARENTS please be mindful of the structure of schools before letting your children attend.

Samantha Watson: Both of my kids attended Hogan for 1 school year. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. Basic education. Teachers doing their best, (not to put hands on folks lil monsters, lol) to educate our youth of today. Cause they crazy now a days. Some real humdingers!

Slay Queen: I use to go to this school my junior and senior year, just graduate a month ago-- They still dont have our diplomas and they are unorganized. The school was good to begin with but they dont put enough effort into the kids ESPECIALLY the seniors-- Nobody help me get my colleges together, they didnt even send out my final transcript to the college I'm going to-- You also need community service hours depending on the year you been at Hogan but some kids didnt meet have of them goals but still let them graduate. They lie and say they have a 100 percent of graduation rate (remember to read the paper) but yhere always four to six seniors who dont graduate so they dont consider them as seniors anymore to keep there representation. My advice is DO NOT ENROLL IN THIS SCHOOL. I recommended going to school in Blue Springs.
