Kathryn Spake: I wasn't happy with my first appt with Dr Bergman. I had labs done at another facility & made sure results were there for my appt. They were not addressed. Left office with unanswered questions. I smoke & once that came up,I felt ,I was wast of his time. I need to changed doctors within practice.
bill worth: I became acquainted with Dr. Gillbanks when she was my mother's physician. When my mother was in a car wreck I got to see first hand how Dr. Gillbanks treats her patients. With caring and compassion.When I decided to change doctors it was an easy to decision to select Dr. Gillbanks. I have not been disappointed. She is willing to listen to your concerns and is very knowledgeable. I have never felt rushed when in an office visit.I have recommended Dr. Gillbanks to other people, even ones who have said they don''t like doctors, but they all think she is excellent.

Ed Wisner: Dr Orlando and his staff are always very personal and professional. Dr Orlando has been my personal physician for over 25 years and he always sits and listens to what is going on with my health issues and takes however long it takes to address those issues. He never makes me feel like he is pushing me out the door to get to his next patient. He is the best.
dave smith: been waiting since sept. 6th 2022 for a referral to a back specialist. today oct. 4th still waiting. every time i call the referral dept. tells me to call back at the end of the week. the problem is they keep referring me to the same doctor who's not in my insurance network. for the last 2 weeks they told me the doctor they referred me to wants me to have an MRI. but i have a pace maker that's not MRI compatible. shouldn't my doctor already know that ? sent me down for x-rays on sept 6th during my original appointment and my doctor told them to x-ray the right side of my back and hip. but the problem was , it was on my left side that needed to be looked at not the right side. you decide if you can live through the pain of broken vertebrae for a month and no treatment . if you can than this is the group for you. for me i've had enough of the barrel full of monkeys and their well abused football.

Jen Davidson: Was told that they do not want me as a patient. My former Dr office closed last year. I needed a new pcp to have knee surgery at the beginning of the year. My husband had been there and seen Dr Nyguen. He had only been once or twice. I called and said I'd be a patient of Dr Pourakbar as he was taking new patients. the first time I went in he asked why would you pick me?. I said I don't know any of the Dr so any was good. He was making me very anxious. My blood pressure was very elevated. He brings up the BP. I told him it was unusual. I go back for another appointment amc he again acts as if he does not want to bother with me. Again BP up.had two knee surgeries and BP no problem. needed to make appt to renew my anxiety meds. only 2 BTW. I asked for a different Dr. He just makes me uncomfortable. I was told they had to ask. Dr Edward's was asked. after waiting 48 hrs for a return call they called and told me that she said no and that if one says no they will all say no. she was so rude I literally almost cried. I'm a healthy middle age woman that only goes for checkups. I mean why?I didn't think it was wrong to let them know I was not match for that one Dr. but I guess being honest gets you no Dr.

But, if you are a woman who is heavier or overweight I would warn against going here or at least be aware that this is what they will focus on. I was referred here to get answers about a medical issue which was unrelated to my weight. The doctor talked about it in my appointment and the only comment on my follow up call was to “loose weight”. The doctor or nurses never asked about my diet, exercise or habits. They seemed completely distracted with my weight despite it having no gravity on the medical issue at hand. I am very disappointed with my experience and will be searching for a new doctor.

Brandy McGuire: I recently had my 3D mammogram. Online scheduling for the win and Samantha is top notch. Seriously, she is the whole package: competent, skilled, efficient and compassionate with stellar communication! I just need to know how to request her every year!

Jennifer Nichols: It was better then I thought it would be, but, I feel like I wasn't really even treated I saw one person when i was checked in just to sit in a chair and get x-rays no one really evaluated my injury I saw mainly a nurse. I mean the staff where very nice from what time I did see them, bit it sure didn't feel like I was receiving any kind of care.
Katie Conyers: The only reason I'm giving a two star rating instead of a one star is because the nurse practitioner and final nurse of my visit did seem to care and want to provide help.I was in the ER for over 8 hours for severe abdominal/ovary pain. In that time, I never was moved to a room. After I went through triage, they moved me into another waiting area full of other post-triage patients. Not only was it incredibly uncomfortable, especially already being in abdominal pain, but there was no sense of privacy. Any and all information from registration to medical news, was given in front of everyone in the waiting hallway.I needed to have a CT scan to try to determine the cause for my pain. I got the scan in a timely manner, but then proceeded to sit there for over 3 hours before a nurse finally decided to investigate why they hadn't heard anything. Apparently someone had forgotten to submit my results resulting in the lengthy delay.At the time of triage the nurse practitioner said she wanted to start me on an IV of fluids and Zofran. Once I was finally called back to see the NP about 4 hours later, she wanted to know if I was feeling better after the meds. That was the first opportunity I had to mention to anyone that I never received the meds she prescribed FOUR HOURS EARLIER. No one came to check on me in the waiting hallway once the entire time I was there.My final complaint is about the "paramedic" that did my blood draw and put the the IV port in. She was so busy talking with a coworker about when she was going to be off and what she was going to do that she could hardly give me time of day. She roughly stabbed the needle and then proceeded to have to dig around trying to hit the vein. I don't have scientific proof, just the opinion from a physician at another ER that I had to go to a week later, that the rough injection has now caused a superficial blood clot in that arm.

Maya Dotson: The medical staff are friendly but this last visit I felt when being discharged I was being brushed off/ hurried to get me out. Nothing was explained regarding results from my ultrasound/ x-ray. Just shown results were in my discharge folder. I had to ask what to do about my swelling behind my knee. At this point I'm dissatisfied with Center Medical Center as a whole including their ortho doctors. I will be seeking care in St. Louis I know I will get the proper care there. I will say the ER follow up scheduling department has been great trying to help me schedule follow up appointment.
Vicky Combs: In my most recent experience there on May 16, 2023 the level of incompetence in the clinic where I was sent for my procedure was down right dangerous! I will never go to Centerpoint again, am in the process of having all my doctors changed to the KU system, and will be happy to explain in great detail why the situation at Centerpoint was so dangerous to anyone seeking the information.

Debbie Epperson: This place is a joke. My husband has followed Pollema around ever since his doctor retired. She just kind of took over like she's a doctor. She's worked at 3 places now. Of course she ends up back at an HCA dumphole. He had a normal check up and told her he was having pain in one leg. She said call and come back if it got worse. Well it did and he did. He waited 3 days for someone to call him back. He went back in. They do an xray and say we will call you next week. I exploded on them and one of the lazies in there wants to act like my mom and scold me. I told her don't you dare speak to me that way. You're a nobody to me. Not too mention the elevator was broke down and there were poor elderly women with canes trying to climb the stairs. I took my husband to an ER, and no not an HCA ER, and he had a blood clot in his leg. I've found my husband a private practice doctor and he WILL NOT be back to the nurse trying to play doctor. What a joke.MY REPLY TO YOU: NO THANKS. WE HAVE A GREAT DOCTOR NOW. IM NOT WASTING MY TIME OR MY BREATH.
Dareyn Worley: I went to the dr a month ago to get my prescription refilled and they assured me they would send it to the pharmacy and when I needed to pick it up the pharmacy had nothing from the dr office. I had to call them again and wait on hold for 20 minutes to get anyone to answer and help me.

They claim their doctors are not taking any new patients and insist that you make an appointment with one of their nurses. The nurse I see is not knowledgeable on certain medical conditions and tends to have an attitude when I make an appointment to be seen.As well as, the person who does the blood draws; I’m not sure why she is still there. She does not seem to enjoy her job whatsoever and also has an attitude and is extremely rude.They also tell me every single time I go in that I do not owe anything and that my insurance covers me. However, I got a letter in the mail saying I owe $20 for a co-pay from this doctor office. They told me I could just pay it when I go in for my next appointment. My next appointment was not for a few months and they sent the request for $20 co-pay to collections and now it shows up on my credit report. They will screw you over time and time again.I definitely would not recommend.

Matt M: Haven't been able to get my meds for several days, none of my phone calls have been returned after 72 hrs. Left on hold for half an hour then staff left for the day. Person I spoke to was unhelpful, rude, and condescending and left me upset.
Lauren Nash: I have had a horrible experience with this group as I am switching doctors. They won't send anything to the new dr without a fee.. and of my other 20 doctors I have gone to they are the only ones who have charged. They won't even let me walk into the office and get MY records without charging me. This is absolutely ridiculous. They didn't tell me about the fee until they had "supposedly" already sent everything over (they didnt). Then when I just wanted to walk in and get my stuff they were very rude about it. Unless you want your medical records under lock and key and you can never access them.. dont go here!

Sam Kingsley: I know there have been a lot of people having negative experiences with this place, but my overall experience was very positive! The one downside was when I first called to see if they accepted my insurance, the representative said "no". I later discovered from someone else that they actually do, which annoyed me.But that was one person's ignorance, and I don't think that reflects the facility as a whole.
Kaitlin Sisler: Mandy was extremely disrespectful and dismissive toward me. Don’t be in healthcare if you don’t want to treat patients with kindness and respect. I will no longer be coming here.
Mrs Bryan: I can’t even express how much I love this medical office. I have terrible anxiety, especially when it involves my health and going somewhere new. Luckily, the staff were so helpful, patient and friendly. Thank you Mandy and Andrea. I think I found my long term provider, which eases my anxiety. I highly recommend this office for your medical needs. They even offer virtual visits, that’s convenience!
Ashley Shamblin: This place is ridiculous! I had 2 appts scheduled for my daughter and I back to back they would only see one of us. I called because I was running late and they instructed me to come on if I could get there within the 15 minute window. We were scheduled from 1:20- 3-20 an hour a piece with the same provider in the same office. I walked in before the 15 minutes and they would not see me. It is very difficult to get an appointment these days. My appointment would’ve literally taken half of the scheduled time allotted for the exam. They are rude and don’t want to be bothered with you! The lady Brandy at the front was very nice and helpful but no one would get up and go explain the situation in the back and if they would’ve I probably would’ve been seen
Danna McPheron: This clinic limits the number of appointments per day, which IS the downside of going to this particular clinic. Every time I call this clinic to set up an appointment, I had a reasonable expectation to be seen as soon as possible. The soonest the doctor can see me is in two weeks. I don't have two weeks. I have an immediate concern that needs to be looked at asap, not in two weeks. Having to wait two weeks to be seen for an issue is ridiculous. I should not have to wait this long to be seen by a doctor for a health concern. What happened to quality healthcare? What happened to excellent service? We don't matter because the staff at this clinic are not concerned about our wellbeing. I guess a phone call to Guest Services is my next option to lodge a complaint about this clinic. The COVID guidelines have been lifted. There should be absolutely NO reason to limit the appointments each day. Open up that calendar and start giving us appointments for the SAME DAY service we expect so we can have our health concerns be addressed. I absolutely will advise anyone to go somewhere else for their better healthcare options. This is ridiculous... TWO WEEKS!! No thanks. I want to be seen the same day for health concerns that needed to be addressed asap. Screw this clinic..
Katy Palmer: The receptionist/front desk staff were amazing and so kind. I got to my appointment 20 minutes early like they requested but I waited 50 minutes on top of that to see the nurse practioner. They told me it would be 5-10 more minutes around 20 minutes prior to that. When I saw one patient who got there after me left, I also left. It is silly to request someone be there 30 minutes prior but leave them waiting for longer.
Carmen: The front desk staff and the healthcare workers who begin your appointment were fantastic which is why I’m rating 2 stars. The NP Joe was not. He had the worst bedside manner I have EVER experienced, and I have had to see many doctors throughout my life for a chronic illness. He was patronizing, argumentative, and rude. First he didn’t believe me when I discussed my condition, then he admonished me for not getting it checked out, as if that’s not what I made the appointment for. Multiple times he said, “I’m not going to argue with you”, when I tried to advocate for myself and provide him with as much history as possible. I left the place defeated and in tears. If you want the compassion and care University Health talks about, do NOT see Joe.

We were both very pleased with him. As of recently he has left this practice(I would be interested in knowing why) Our care was referred to the practices Nurse Practitioner, Shaun Riley. My first visit with her went fine as we are relatively healthy patients. However, when I recently discovered I needed to have an outpatient procedure done, it took the office two days to get me the referral information needed to schedule the procedure at another location. I was certainly persistent when calling them multiple times in attempt to expedite the referral process, but not at ALL disrespectful. I did make it clear that if they couldn't get the information to me by the end of day #2, I would come in and pickup my records and seek care at the ER. I am in a significant amount of pain and a delayed referral is only prolonging the care I need. I was absolutely SHOCKED to receive a phone call from this Nurse Practitioner, Shaun Riley herself, NOT to check on my well-being or out of concern for my pain. Rather her call was to scold me (the patient) for "belittling her staff". I also work in healthcare and none of the Doctors in my practice would EVER, consider calling a patient and scolding them for any conversation they did not participate in!! Again, I did NOT belittle ANYONE, during any conversation but Shaun Riley seems to think it's OK to contact her patients and accuse them of being disrespectful!! Maybe she should focus more on running an EFFICIENT and CARING practice. Needless to say my husband and I will take our medical needs and our private insurance, to a more caring, family oriented provider. I would NOT recommend this office and DEFINITELY not Nurse Practitioner Shaun Riley!!! Newsflash.....Patients pay your salary!!!
Esther Okerson: Dr. Clark is the best primary care physician I've seen. I love her so much I started taking my daughter here instead of a pediatrician. Dr. Clark truly cares and listens to your concerns and is proactive with treatment. I would highly recommend her and this office to anyone!

Beth Taylor: I was feeling super bad and I called but was put into voice mail so I honestly figured I wouldn't even get a call back. Within 30 minutes they had called me back and were able to get me in to see my doctor directly. I didn't even have to wait in the waiting room but that's because I was sick. Everyone was so caring and considerate. This is one of the best groups I have been a patient with. I plan to continue using them forever. Jessie Krueger is awesome and her staff is awesome and the office manager is just wonderful. You guys rock!

Yolanda, the receptionist, greeted me with a big smile. I enjoyed chatting with her as I waited for my appointment. Ambroa, the medical assistant, was very friendly as well. She treated me with kindness and respect and was very professional. My appointment with Megan went smoothly and she was so easy to talk with, as always. I'm a nurse and am very picky about my health care providers. I couldn't be happier with the staff at this office. I highly recommend this group!!

I felt like she is working with me instead of telling me. Totally different experience from the Blue Springs office. Where the front office is rude along with the uncaring doctor.
Jacob C: Dr Jayne Bumgarner is the best primary care physician I have ever dealt with. Thorough and great bedside manner when I have seen her in person, and allows the option to message her for non urgent issues and responds quickly everytime. Cannot recommend Dr B enough

Rudder30: Saint Luke's sent me a Text reminder and sent me to the Dr. Office in Liberty, which was incorrect. The people at the Liberty office were really nice and apologetic for the miss information. I call the Independence office and told them what happened, they said they couldn't get me in for two weeks. This was their fault, they didn't apologize or anything. I took off work to do this and they didn't care. Also if you notice the Independence office doesn't update their web site for what doctors they have on staff and also their voice message is incorrect. One doctor has been gone over a year and he is still listed.
Brandy Nicole: Updating my review because Dr. Werth is no longer with the practice anymore. I am now seeing Dr. Hamo who I love already. All of the staff is really friendly and helpful, and they call in refills the same day usually when I leave a message on their machine. Recently, I had to call them because I was not feeling well mentally (crying hysterically on the phone) and they returned my phone call within ten minutes and got me in for an emergency appointment to see Dr. Hamo. I appreciate that they prioritize mental health calls as much as they do medical emergencies. Dr. Hamo took his time with me and listened to my concerns and how I was feeling even while I was crying my heart out and discussed ways of coping with stress.It's nice to know the staff at Saint Luke's cares so much about their patients because that's honestly few and far between in healthcare nowadays!
Mary Hennessy: I like Dr. Guerra very much, would honestly give him 4 or 5 stars but the support staff leaves a lot to be desired. They are short with you over the phone and also in person. If I could see him without going through those individuals it would be much better!

His nurse has always returned my call same day if calling by noon. The appointment side can use a little improving. I don’t think they always try very hard to work in an appointment. Receptionist said leave message for nurse to call me in something, I did at 8:45am, I called back 9:30am, never heard from nurse for Dr. Guerra, I asked for another doctor, she said I must wait for nurse, no appointments available. She at least should of told me about St Luke's Walk-in clinic in Blue Springs. I waited to 1:15pm, nurse never called me, and this receptionist told me about Blue Springs clinic. They need train schedules better!! I'm very sick. At 1:45pm Nurse Amy calls leaves message, doctor out today, she has appointments tomorrow, while I just called earlier they said nothing till Friday. This place is a Joke!! Plus she said I should go to Hyvee for St Luke's walk in clinics. Why no one tell me this this morning, after I waited all day! Tired of this doctor office, looking for new doctors office!

What he failed to remember was that he cancelled my last appointment 3 or 4 days before the appointment. When i brought this fact up he kicked me out of the office. Laura Shafer: I have been a patient for 25 years since Dr Steiner was practicing at Family Health off of East 24 Hwy. I appreciated the friendly and helpful office staff there. When I was sick they could usually get me in the same day. Ever since he moved to St Luke's Primary Care I have been disappointed. The office staff is rude and unprofessional in person and over the phone. (like mentioned in several reviews)Dr Steiner retired in Dec 2018 and I knew I was going to have to see a different doctor. I was sick a week and a half ago so I called for an appointment and they said I couldn't make an appointment because I hadn't seen a new Doctor yet. I ended up having to go to the emergency room with pneumonia. I was told to make a follow-up appointment with my PCP. I called on Monday and they couldn't get me in until Friday. The women that checked me in said my insurance card did not go through. I told her that my husband had just retired and we were going on cobra. I called the cobra office and they said it would take 7 to 10 days to put my payment in the system. The office staff didn't even try to help me. They didn't ask if I could pay out of pocket and when my insurance paid them they could reimburse me or any other type of arrangment so that I could be seen. I have always had insurance and what insurance didn't cover I paid.I only wish I could give them a zero rating.
Alli: Dr. Bumgarner is an amazing doctor. She actually takes the time to listen to your needs and I am always happy with my visits when I come to see her.
Lisa Stutts: So far my only complaint is how difficult it is to get into see someone. There typically is no availability to see someone the sameday if you need to get in right away for a problem.
Kelci Stephenson: I love the doctors here, but the front desk staff is consistently rude and inconsiderate every time I deal with them. They also make no effort to keep your privacy when speaking to you. If it werent for the doctors here, I'd go somewhere else just because they're so off-putting.
