Season Martinez campos: I have ordered the same thing for the last 3 years. Today I ordered cheese dip which usually come with chips since its a "dip"They explained to me today that chips would no longer come with it unless u order an entree. Rebecca L.: We most recently went on a Saturday and arrived right at noon, no waiting to be seated. The service was friendly, professional and quick to arrive at our table. The food was hot, fresh, well-presented and delicious. The atmosphere was bright and colorful, the restaurant was clean. The only small negative I have is that the music was too loud, I believe it should have been lower so people could converse, maybe more like background music would have been better. This Mexican restaurant is one of our favorites.Kid-friendliness: My 2 year old grandson went with us, high chairs were available. His dad ordered him a soft chicken taco.Parking: There are lots of parking spaces near the restaurant front door.Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicap parking spaces available near the front door. The curb has a ramp. As someone who uses a cane I was able to easily get from the parking lot to the door without any obstacles.

Amanda May: Came in here Friday 6/2. Just a bad experience all around. The drink I ordered took around 20 minutes to be made and brought to my table and the restaurant was dead so it’s not like they were busy. Ordered some chips and an order of queso as an appetizer, well my mom and I’s entrees came out BEFORE we even received our chips and queso. The tortilla on my fish taco was ice cold. Never had such an awful experience here before and I’ve came to eat at this location more than a handful of times. The cherry on top of the sh*tty experience sundae? They have now charged my card three times for this transaction. :-) Definitely do NOT recommend coming here.

We were seated at a tiny table in the bar area even though they were not busy at all, and there were plenty of bigger tables in the main area. The food was acceptable, but also not the way I remember. I may try again, but based on how few people were there on a Saturday evening, I fear they may be closed down in the near future.

He kept letting us know that he was only server on that side and t hey gave him 4 tables close together. He was overwhelmed. Other people working not helping out. Took long time to get drinks. Long time to order food and get it. Food was not good . Cool temperature they forgot things with one of our orders. When we asked for things they never were brought back. Just didnt taste good. That was a preview to the poor service we probably would have had. And there were so few tables in use that if nothing else a waitress should have stepped up to help out. Independence location is a train wreck.

David Latlip: We have always liked this place, but something has changed for sure. First of all, they didn't have two of the beers they had on the menu.Second of all, the enchiladas I ordered weren't good at all. Then to top it off the booth I was in had a sharp object sticking out and poked a hole in my shorts. They only took $5 off my bill which paid for the beer I really didn't want. Get Miller Lite!
Sassi D: I am not sure what happened to this restaurant but unfortunately, the service has been very unsatisfactory the last two times we tried to eat here. The staff have been unusually impatient and gotten the order wrong as a result. We were dining in and I asked for hot water for tea and was given a styrofoam cup of lukewarm water instead. My husband ordered ice tea/ no ice and received a glass of ice water. I ordered a fish taco and received a small piece of lukewarm fish buried in cabbage inside a moist tortilla? Not once did the server offer options, clarify what the order did or did not include. When we attempted to ask about the order and convey our dissatisfaction, we were shown a menu. Not once did anyone make any effort to slow down and provide a measure of real customer service, show concern, or correct the order.The whole experience was disappointing and we will not return.The Casa Mexico in Blue Springs is excellent. Sadly, I cannot say that for the Independence location.

I ordered nachos, hard to not get right, right? Well the hamburger tasted old, flavorless and dry. The volcan dip that I ordered and that came on my nachos was barely evident. We asked for a small side of volcan dip due to there being hardly any on my nachos, and was charged 6.99 for it. All 3 of our dishes tasted old as if they were leftovers from the lunch rush. We will never return to this restaurant, it's not worth it. Waste of time and money.
