Music Gear: what do users think?
Michael English: This is a nice place to buy, sell, or trade your music gear. They always have a selection of guitars and amps, along with other, less common it we ms.
Justice Bernal: Excellent selection of quality vintage gear, with a good support for local builders in the music community, you'll find more in store than online, so definitely check 'em out! :-)
Jeff Cordray: As a guitar player, I love this store! Everyone there has been very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. As a customer, I have both bought and sold a guitar there and I am more than satisfied with the business we have conducted. They have an excellent selection of guitars, at virtually every price point you could want, from beginner to pro to serious collector. Plenty of amps to choose from as well, although I'm not as familiar with them. As an alternative to the more generic, big box stores, this place can't be beat, imo.If you're looking for a more personal touch, along with with an outstanding selection of guitars and amps that are not your standard fare, this is the store for you. Not to even mention the style and ambiance of the place! It has a very distinct resonance that any musician will instantly love. I highly recommend checking this place out, I seriously doubt you will be disappointed! 😉
Tom Trudeau: Nice vintage guitars good prices
Kyle Weber: Awesome owners, treat customers with respect, knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile. Great store with a good variety of equipment. Fantastic deals on gear. I highly recommend you go here before Guitar Center. Local owned and operated no corporate B.S. very professional and fun to staff.
Danny Brown: They have a great selection of music gear
Joseph Sorensen: I've done a lot of business there and they are doing a great job for me.
David Morgan: Knowledgeable, friendly and laughed at my corny jokes!
Rick Jordan: Music Gear on the Independence Square is a treasure. I live an hour away, but today I made a special trip that turned out to be gratifying and productive. Rob and Burt are remarkable people. They take care of their merchandise. They always have some instruments in stock that take my breath away because they are so original. They relate to customers with warmth, respect, and grace. I enthusiastically recommend Music Gear.
Roger Dispenza: Great place. Great gear. Excellent shopping experience.
Tucker Porter: Great store for used music gear. Fair prices.
Andy Porter: Excellent shop. Rob has good products at reasonable prices.
Danielle Stratemeyer: Excellent customer service; my son is SO HAPPY with his "new to him" guitar!
Kelly Ryan: Awesome people and beautiful store. I bought a guitar. They also have some really cool collector and vintage items. Stop by and see them!
Tammy Drummond: Helpful honest store!!
Dale Vits: Awesome place to buy or trade music gear Rob and Bert are very knowledgeable on vintage guitars and basses as well as sell new music gear. I have done many happy deals with them throughout the years. They are friendly and fair and treat their customers like family. If you want a friendly fun place to shop that has interesting and vintage items that you won’t find in the “big box store” this is the place to check out!!!
Curt Fish: Great people running this store. A surprisingly large collection of instruments and amplifiers for a little shop. They haven't seen the last of me.
Eloisa Medina: Great selection and knowledgeable staff. We can't wait to go back.
Jake Kinsch: Very cool place, lots of neat stuff and the folks there are very nice and helpful
Johnathan Dutoit: Guy was nice.. but told me thumbwheels On the bridge weren’t created until the 70s. Factual research proves otherwise.
Jeffery Payne: Great little shop, has a good little bit of everything and friendly staff.

DJ MIC-KC: what do users think?
Steve Carver: Thank you for be a part of our wedding. You did amazing job everyone loved you and asked where I found you. Also loved the end of the night when you let my mom Dj. We will have you again.
Amy Bock: The best DJ, if you are looking for a dj for your event he is the one, we had dj mic for our wedding he went above and beyond what we expected, fun and very entertaining. Made the day special
Katie Fetzer: 5 Stars all the way! Mic KC and his entire team were amazing! The entire team was awesome and they made our non-profit gala event amazing and fun!He went beyond every request we had and did so many extra things that made our event and our experience a smooth one! I would highly recommend them for any type of event where you want quality and heartfelt service!
Cody Chance: DJ Mic is the BEST! If you're needing a DJ for your wedding, pick him! He goes above and beyond for his clients -- He mixed us a song for our choregraphed first dance, his communication with us throughout the planning process was excellent, and he is a fun, creative personality. DJ Mic encouraged us to do a private last dance as a couple, which was really special, and then he organized a surprise exit with our friends and family. We will cherish those memories forever. Thank you so much DJ MIC!!!
Ray C: Absolutely the best DJ to call for any event. Karaoke? He’s got you. Wedding , yep that too. Funeral party?? Im 100% positive he could handle that just the same! Seriously, don’t call anybody else.
Tylor Willoughby: DJ Mic is awesome and really knows how to make an experience for everyone! He was my DJ on my party bus and made sure everyone was having a good time dancing and some karaoke songs! 10/10 recommend!
Bethanie Taylor: Have been up to KC twice to see DJ Mic since we moved from KC. We had been hanging out at some Independence bar before we moved and he was epic! Both trips up to visit family, we went to The Brix, such a wonderful atmosphere! I like people watching, I saw new crowds come in and heard the music SMOOTHLY transition to match the group vibe and yet EVERYONE was into it! Not a dull moment! He had this awesome introduction for EVERY karaoke singer, really got them pumped before they sang. He knows how to make people comfortable before a set! I live about 3 hours away, but I will continue going to Brix or WHEREVER DJ Mic is playing, karaoke or not.Being out at one of his shows is a great experience and everyone should go AT LEAST twice! Thanks DJ Mic for rounding off my trips to KC!
Brad Clabough: Great guy. You want the full experience hire this guy to be your dj
Barry Amthor: My wife had her 60th Birthday Party at Stoney Creek Hotel in Kansas City. DJ Mic brought his lighted dance floor. He played a variety of music as well as karaoke. Whatever was requested, he was able to play. Everyone had a great time and was impressed. Thanks Mike for making my wife's birthday a total success!
Cheyenne White: I highly recommend DJ MIC he did an awesome job at our wedding
Rylee White: DJ Mic- Kc took care of a wedding event for us and I couldn't be more pleased. Super up beat and energetic, smooth transitions into every aspect of the wedding made it so I didn't have to stress, it was a blessing to have him. Highly recommend him to anyone needing a DJ for any event. Did a fantastic job.
Kelsey Lowry: Michael did such a great job. We would recommend him to anyone. We did an interview with him and we knew after that he was going to be our DJ. He did the sound and audio for the ceremony and our reception. We are glad we hired him for both. This way we didn't have to worry about anything going wrong during our ceremony. He had everything perfectly timed out for the ceremony and reception. He had a form that we filled out that had how the wedding party was walking in down the aisle to every last song/artist we did or didn't want played. He helped us place the order of the typical activities in a reception like the first dance all the way to the exit. He knows when to have the highs and lows in a wedding reception. Even to the day we get compliments about how amazing our ceremony was and how fun our reception was. Michael really knows what he's doing and you can tell he really loves it too.Mike & Kelsey Lowry
LAURIE ROUSE: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWe were all impressed with Mike. Mike cares about making it special. He was engaging, professional and responsive to messages. We would highly recommend hiring Mike.
Jennifer Bryant: DJ MIC is absolutely amazing, if you are searching for someone who is passionate about what they are doing, has an amazing personality, and goes above and beyond expectations. Then this is the guy you want to hire as a DJ for your event. My husband and I had a blast, and a lot of our guests kept making comments about how they really liked his style. --Thank you so much for being apart of our special day!
Katie Carder: We hired DJ Mic for our wedding and we are so glad we did! Mike was responsive when we reached out. I really liked how his price packages were listed online. I appreciate that in a vendor. During our initial phone call, he got a feel for what my fiance and I liked, what we were looking for in a DJ, etc. We knew by the end of the phone call that DJ Mic would make our reception a great party. We specifically wanted karaoke at our reception and Mike said awesome, let's do it. His set-up was perfect! He gave use the perfect mix of dancing and karaoke time... all our guests loved it!DJ Mic was also SUPER helpful with setting things up before the wedding! I had specific music I wanted played for the processional and he was ready with it all. He got to the venue way in advance and knew exactly what to do and where to go... he didn't ask me anything ahead of the ceremony, which as the bride, I appreciated so much! Mike knows how to do his job and he can do it well. Two days before our wedding, we decided we wanted to live stream it for family that couldn't be there. I wasn't sure how to do it so that it would be relatively decent quality. DJ Mic was there right away and offered to set up a stream for us. He and my videographer even worked together to make sure the sound for the stream was working. They did a great job! So thankful for the DJ Mic's professionalism and ingenuity. If you're looking for a DJ who enjoys what he does and is really good at what he does, hire DJ Mic. All my guests loved him and all the other vendors at the wedding loved him too. He will make sure your reception is special and memorable!
Cathy Cole: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueDJ Mike is amazing. I've known him from doing music bingo, karaoke and my parents 50th Anniversary! He does an amazing job and makes sure to keep the crowd participating and having a blast. Hands down the best DJ IN KC!
Jea Ekstrom: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWonderful DJ I have worked with him and been to events he's DJ'd and he's one of my top favorite. I really enjoy doing karaoke and most of the experience is how good the DJ is and wherever he goes I'll go. Absolutely fantastic.
M: Positive:Professionalism,QualityAwesome DJ/KJ and a genuinely good guy! Karaoke was a blast!
amanda watt: Very professional, kept our wedding and reception going smoothly and made sure our photographer got some great shots! DJ MIC had some great ideas that our guests LOVED, every single guest at our wedding complimented us on our choice of DJ...every single guest said they had an amazing time and we owe it ALL to this guy. He works hard to make sure that your day is the best day ever, and we are forever thankful to him! We want to throw another party just so he can come back again!! (1st anniversary three-do? I think yes!!)

The latest rendition - Company was 2.5 hours of fun-loving, spontaneous laughter, live entertainment with a pianist that absolutely carry's the show from its highs to its lows. Feeling Alive is how you feel when you get the chance to experience the wonderful talent and music at MTH.
Eddie Canis: They expanded and have two theater. Covid 19 with mask and card required. A must because of how small the playhouse is. There not a bad seat in the house. The actor are top notch and it fun watching how the handle the small stage
Terri Bonar: Production was fabulous, only downside was how cold it was in there...
Dick Williams: Have enjoyed many shows at MTH in Crown Center. The theater is small so every seat is a good seat and performers and audience connect easily. Free parking i the garage adjacent.

Guitar Center: what do users think?
Mark Crawford: Do not waste your time with them. Incompetent and do not have proper information. Wasted multiple calls, emails and trips on them saying they'd buy a drum set for me to load and bring up and them say they don't have the room.Unprofessional, zero customer service skills and knowledge. Bunch of half-wits.Zero stars if possible.
Gage McClanahan: Customer service was amazing
Jessica Powers: Will I have to pay for the first lesson with my instructor
J. Wade Hannon: They had no U.S. made acoustic guitars. Many from countries where workers are extremely exploited and mal-treated.
Melissa Gann: My husband will love using his gift card
Terry Hinkle: Great service. The guy's really know there stuff. I will be shopping there again.
Kofijeff Steudler: Great selection and service
Amanda Gazaway: I ordered this mpk mini for the person I drew for Christmas, and It came in sooner than I thought!.. & (pic2) This is probably my favorite ribbon mic, from this store. I think ribbon mics give you more of the tone of your voice.
Aaron Fee: Staff was very helpful in finding what we needed, great service
Ken Eberhart: Guitar Center is a handy place to sell vintage drums. I'm a vintage drum broker & I've been paid decent prices for every item I've presented for a "Street Buy". I do get weary of being "schooled" about vintage drums by the 20 somethings behind the counter who seem oblivious to the possibility that I was playing drums from the era I'm selling, before they were even born. I also hold a Master of Music degree in percussion performance from a well known Conservatory of Music. It's always fun to have someone half my age asking me "Are ya SURE that's a 14 inch drum, cuz looks to me like it might be a 13? Let's measure it with a tape. Uh......... wow. I guess it IS a 14 like you said. Anyway, how's 80 bucks sound?"Sounds great kid (I paid $30 for it at a garage sale, then I wiped it down with Windex).
R. Darren Walker: Very friendly people there
Tim Falter: Sarah was an amazing wealth of knowledge great customer service.
neil hunt: I left my pro custom ear plugs there on tour. Your sales manager sent them back to me and saved me big time as they are so expensive! So I’m giving a 5 star review to the store and a 10 star to him cause that shows they care about musicians. Those things are my life line. Thanks so much again!
Ben Tribble: Great service very welcoming and a great selection.
Mike Peace: Good selection. A few 'Scratch and Dents' that were really more 'Totally Destroyed' haha but hey.
TsGh iLLuSioN: Great atmosphere wonderful employees that are willing to answer questions and help you find what is best for yourself and what you're interested in.
Derek Whitney: Sales lady was helpful....
K F: Staff is very friendly
Fernando Castro: Won't take my gear anywhere else! I'm horrible with names but always have a blast buying and selling my gear at this Guitar Center!
Walter Gross: Great place shop for your guitar needs,I will come back!
Rex McCommon: Thankful they are there
