Tom Kell: Food and service were excellent. There were three of us. Everyone liked their food. I had the kabob bowl. I really liked the meat and spices. The bowl was enough for me but I think I will add a side next time. Will definitely go back.

Prat Kale: This place went from good to worst after pandemic. They used to serve salad with shwarma rice bowl which they don't anymore. Prices went up almost 20%-30% on every item. Quanty of bowl they served shwarma was considerably smaller size than they used to. Chicken was extemely dry. Rice tasted like Mexican rice instead of nice long grain fluffy mildly flavored rice. Falafel wrap was ok. Total disappointment.

The food is really good, although my partner did not like the rice at this location. Kyle Armstrong: First time going to Jerusalem Cafe today. Honestly, easily one of the best places I've ever been! The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was exceptional and THE STAFF—Polite, friendly, and extremely helpful.We ordered the Original Gyros (Beef & Lamb) with Cajun Fries and Yellow Saffron Rice, and the Grilled Kabob Sandwich (Beef Kifta) with Greek Salad and Lentil Soup. Phenomenal, all of it! As well, we ordered the Famous Falafel, some Spanakopita, and their delicious Famous Lemonade (Blueberry & Mint). Nothing we ordered was a let down and, in fact, exceeded every expectation we had. While I cannot speak to the authenticity of the food, as I know very little, I will say again, the food was PHENOMENAL!Restrooms were clean and well maintained. The dining area clean, well organized, and fashioned in very appealing and fun decorative style.We live about 6 minutes away from Jerusalem Cafe and I can say without a single doubt in my mind, we will be returning on a regular basis. This may even be our new favorite place to grab a bite out. Never close. We'll be back.

Portions are filling.Gyro meat was delicious on both the sandwiches and salad. Greek salad dressing was unusual and more orange citrus flavored than typical Greek dressing, but was delicious - would definately eat again. Fries were tasty. Pita had great flavor, but was a bit dry (especially on the edges) - almost like it had been warmed for too long.Deserts were also delicious: Baklava was fresh, crisp, and flavorful. Halvah was a delight, with flavors like a plain crunchy meringue, rice crispy treat, and peanut butter combined - the light chocolate syrup drizzle was an added plus.Definately Recommend.

Be careful at when checking out because there is a full display of all their sweets and pastries and you’ll be tempted to get one of everything. I was tempted into adding a slice of fresh apple pie. So I have to share this review of Cafe Jerusalem.We have been going there for their special service to the community of Kansas City and the rest of the world since we were young. I remember when my brother would always get a huge pita at the food court in Oak Park Mall. Fast forward years later. It's Christmas. We're in Kansas City with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. We find out the original location in Westport is the place they were praising all these years. We had fun 😊 And we got full.My brother and their son have been like brothers from different mothers, so it came as no surprise to anyone when they tucked into pitas together 😁 My sister and their daughters all shared baklava and halvah. Me, I did what I always do: I made the waitress run back and forth as I sucked down the mint tea. Best of all, my dad was so thrilled with the place, he said it got him ready for his next trip to Israel ☺️Keep doing what you're doing. You guys help people make memories. I'm serious. And thank you.Vegetarian options: The hummus and falafel here are very fresh and filling!

Christine Wardle: We are so excited about this gastronomic find. The food is fresh, well seasoned and delicious! The hummus… oh my, the hummus is incredible. Loads of options for any eating lifestyle. Vegan? Gluten free? Omnivore? You are covered. We don’t live in the area, but we will keep it on our KC eatery list, and have already told folks who are traveling through the area that they need to stop at Jerusalem Cafe.

Ultimately I give 4 because there are some things that need improvement.I brought my niece here as a graduation gift. This is where she chose to eat. We came as a party of four.Upon entering we realized it was way too cold inside, so asked to be seated outside. She sat us outside in the sun, which was a bit intense, and there was a table in the shade, but since we had already asked to be moved, we didn’t want to make any more fuss. So we sat in the sun. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful.We ordered a blueberry lemonade, mango lemonade and two frozen mint lemonade’s. My blueberry lemonade was too sweet so I didn’t finish it. The mint lemonade was amazing!We ordered a falafel and hummus plate as an appetizer. The hummus was very plain. They had a kind of relish on one end and a hot sauce on the other end, but even so, it was a very bland hummus. The falafel was very good! Crisp and fresh. The tahini dipping sauce was ok.I ordered the gyro platter. It came with a deliciously seasoned and unique rice. It also came with a spinach spanakopita, roasted vegetables, fresh tomatoes, tzatziki sauce, and some feta cheese and Kalamata olives. The carrots were not cooked long enough but the rest of the vegetables were good. The meat was very good! I don’t order gyro very often, but this was seasoned perfectly!My daughter and niece both ordered the dill chicken pita sandwich with Cajun fries. They were not Cajun seasoned fries. They were just regular fries. The sandwiches were delicious. They both could only eat half of their food and took home the rest for later.My husband ordered the shrimp plate because he wasn’t very hungry. It came with 5 grilled shrimp. He said it was very good.The restroom was actually really nice. I took a picture because it was really cute.The total bill was $120 with tip. I might return here, but I would skip the hummus.Wear long pants and long sleeves if dining inside!
