Danielle Johansen: I don't really shop at Dillards unless I'm buying gifts for older family members or in need of business attire- prices are just too high for my taste and it's not really my style. I did run in here to get a new bottle of foundation for my Grandma after she dropped and broke hers. The woman at the Lancome counter was fantastic. I didn't know the shade but had the broken bottle, she took out a dab of the old makeup and matched it against every shade she had until we found the right one! She was very nice and helpful to me and knew what she was doing.
Arleta Davis: Shopping at Dillard's is depressing. The prices are for the well off...no bargains there unless a purse on SALE is 200 dollars..gee whiz do they know that one apple cost a dollar? But good merchandise if you can afford the price.
elevaTOURS (dieselducy): This is an awesome vintage department store. I came in here to film the elevator. They have an awesome 1974 Montgomery elevator that is glass. Only reason this is 3 star instead of 5 is because an employee gave me very dirty looks for simply appreciating their vintage elevator. She also followed us around the store as if we were shop lifters or something after we rode the elevator. Apart from. That. The store is clean and very well stocked as well. Also clean toilets as well.

bayleigh nelson: Awful staffing (only one woman, the rest were fine) working near the hey dudes shoe department. My boyfriend and I checked out with our paid for merchandise. I called him over to look at another item I was considering purchasing when this staff member approached us with an officer and accused us of stealing “a plastic bag”. I think this woman was on drugs or heavy medication she was mumbling and incoherent. When she realized she had made her mistake , she was unapologetic and rushed us out of the store. Needless to say this woman was uneducated and knows not what a “thief” is, due to the fact that we paid for our items. We will never shop or spend money at this store again( most likely will return the items bought as well). Try not to look too suspicious existing or they will call the police. I will pray for the future shoppers of Dillards to not get caught in the cross fire of this woman’s stupidity 🙏🏽

Gina Hilton: Excellent this visit. I do have to say, my fiancé and I putchase pant sna a a vest in April and them asked about the best man going to the Austin store to get his. We wanted to pay for it and have it altered in Austin then shipped to this Indep., MO location which we were told by store 1604, was not a problem. The Austin store would not let us pay over the phone, and they said they couldn't ship to Indep., MO store 1604 so the best man wouldn't have to haul it on the plane ans try to keep it pristine for the wedding the day after his arrival. So, each store seems to have different play rules. I thought this shouldn't be such a big hassle. Bit, it was.Store 1604 in Indep., MO did take care of us and applied all the coupons and points to our final purchase for us. Big shout out to Peggy. Thank you!!

Arthur Freeland: Interesting experience today. Went in to try on a 18" 32-33" dress shirt. Had already seen that MW carried it online ("Calvin Klein Infinite Non-Iron slim fit stretch collar"). There were none that size in stock, and when they tried to order it they told me it was "no longer made" in that size. I came back home and ordered it online from Men's WearHouse. Website took my money and told me it will be here in six days.*and that precise shirt arrived in three days from Men's Wearhouse and fits perfectly. Not sure why they couldn't order from their own catalog/inventory.

Jeffrey Speight: Needed a nice suit really quick so went to the Men's Wearhouse. An employee named Rho came over to help, I don't wear suits very often so I thought I knew what I wanted, Rho was very helpful in finding everything I needed and I decided to let her choose other accessories for me, She put me in a suit that was so much sharper than I would have picked myself, Thanks Rho and to the tailor Mr Wallace who was so nice and professional most definitely be back.

Ann Stepp: My boyfriend needed help finding a suit for a wedding next Saturday. He had ordered one last week and it came in but it was way too big. The salesman at this store determined that the cut was wrong for him and helped him to find a better cut and fit that will need minimum alterations. They promise they will get the addresses done in time for the wedding. Appreciated the good service.

Courtnie Burgess: The store is big and spacious with a variety of products offered. The only problem I found inis the supply of the products offered. There were not many sizes to choose from when it came to most clothing items and the shelves were pretty bare throughout the store. Another issue was organization. Multiple items found in places they did not belong. Products strung throughout the store. Found multiple shoes without the match in random places. The staff was friendly. I do plan on going back to give them another try

Christine Pickens: Let me about the wonderful employee that answered her the phone her name was Bridget. I was looking for a specific size in specific items in a larger size for an individual who I was helping. She actually put me on hold without in the sales floor looked for the items came back on the phone with me to let me know what she had and she was going to leave them up front with my name on it. Then when I got to the store all the items were there like Bridget said with my name on them. Then I had asked for her because I wanted to thank her for taking time to talk to me because I had already been to four other stores and had called them prior to them and they said yes and they didn't have items I need it. Then I'll check it out she insured that we knew about the return policy that God forbid everything happened to the items within the year the zipper broke or the button came off or the stitches came out they would replace items how incredible. So I highly recommend Duluth Trading Company. They truly care about the people that come through the door and even call on the phone. Thank You Bridget very much for taking care of us today.

Talitha McFadden James: Racist, on a numerous of occasions I caught them wiping down the counter that is supposed to be wiped down in between each transaction, on when African America folks left the counter and leaving up unwired when a Caucasian left the counter. This happened with three different register while just patiently waiting for our turn in line then they did it to us. Also just want to say their policy for returns is also unacceptable if someone one can prove they purchased an item even without a receipt their money should be returned. Won't shop there again.....

The look and feel of the store is that of walking into a 100-year-old shop. The spaces are tastefully jam packed with items that make you pause and examine as they are different and interesting. Aubrey Anderson: Tucked in the heart of the Independence Square, this store offers wildly unique treasures for any age! The men's clothing is especially a nice offering since President Harry Truman coowned a men's clothing store from 1919 to 1921. A really fun place to visit.

So many unique items from grooming products, clothing, artwork, sports, barware, decor, books, games, and quirky gifts. Do you have a gruffy man in your life, a "man's man"? There's something here for him. You have a hipster who likes to meet for brunch? You'll find something here for him too. Or the man in your life would rather crack a cold one and watch the game? There is a perfect gift waiting for them too. Prices aren't bad and the square has a few other stores that are interesting in the same 3 or 4 block area to give you a nicely rounded and interesting afternoon.
