S W: Everyone can have a bad day, so I keep an open mind. But my previous and current orders are both bad, so I cannot order from Hunan Garden ever again. Seventy bucks is a tremendous amount of money to me, and when I spend it on food, it is for a special reason, and this is destroyed by a terrible awful meal. I ordered the Family Dinner for Two, with walnut shrimp and triple delight with crackling rice. Both were bland, terribly bland, they both tasted like canned Chinese food, but not even as much tin can flavor. Seriously - CANNED CHINESE FOOD is what it tasted like. So whatever they are doing now in their kitchen, it surely must include a lot of canned veggies and stuff to ruin it.

All Things Bre: I've visited this restaurant about 4 times total. Each time I'm greeted by the lady at the front counter in a less than pleasant unenthused manner. I brushed it off because they are literally located 4 minutes from me and the food started out "ok."During my last two visits, when I asked to substitute one item for another(gladly offering to pay the upcharge) I was met with a roll of the eyes and a heavy sigh. I explained that each time I make this request it's usually fulfilled by HER! She proceeds to go to the kitchen then come back and charge me more than usual on this occasion. After looking at the receipt and noticing this I decided to bite my tongue, and hold my composure as I knew I would not be returning. Got home only to notice that my food was very overcooked. Waste of time and money. Threw it away. Won't be returning or recommending this place! Gave two stars because my first 2 visits were ok.
Derek Carter: Been coming here for years. Some of the best crab Rangoons I've ever had. I do miss living close by for the delivery but we still make it there from time to time. It's a small hole in the wall joint, but the people are friendly and the food has always been fresh. They package it well so it stays hot when you do takeout and it is usually packed well enough that everything is intact once you get home.

The selection of food was slim to none and what they did have looked like it had been sitting out for a while. The lou mein noodles tasted like cigarettes and most of the food was barely edible. Overall we had to leave early and get pizza on the way home.

Jesse Rowe: One of the best Asian buffets I've ever had usually not huge on Asian food, but all the food is fresh and constantly being changed. You literally want to try everything that they have. We always try local cuisines when out of town and this is top 5 when visiting kc area. Staff is prompt and friendly as well. No complaints at all. They even have party rooms as well as a huge dining area.Dietary restrictions: There's something for everybody.

I told him of the terrible sauce and he admitted that it was salty but refused to fix the problem. It would have been solved with a simple replacement. I don't care how many good reviews are here, but this experience, I would never spend a dime with this restaurant again. 1st and last trip here. Don't go late around close because you may get the last and it may be bad and you have no way of letting them know until the next day. My wife loves chinese food, but we'll just wait until my regular restaurant reopens.
