Little Blue Trace Trail Access and Picnic Area: what do users think?
Mike Perry: I like the new paved paths but I don't like the 3 inch drop on it when pulling a trailer you have to ride closer to the center.
Dave Owens: Great trail to run. It’s maintained well and is being improved. The new paved section is nice.
mark grote: Concrete and mostly gravel bike trail is well maintained. Runs along a creek with restrooms and picnic tables along the way.
Clint House: It’s a great trail and I have been using it for years. But you park at your own risk. Don’t leave anything in your car. It’s a pretty common trail where thieves will break into your car.
2424 music: It's good to just get out of town for a little while and go for a walk
David Smith: When I went it was locked. Which was a long drive for nothing. Y'all could have at least put closed on your front page
sarah howard: never too crowded. long trail with lots of nature
Andy Porter: Excellent!!!
Gustavo Perez: Very nice. !
Bill Champ: This is the most secure place to access the trail. The trail itself is 18 miles from one end to the other, but from this location it's 13 miles in one direction or 5 miles the other direction.
Jerry Cramer: Great place for a bike ride
Ronda C: Great trail
Ross Bryson: Trailhead to arguably the prettiest section of the the LBT. I cycle this trail several times a week and this section is nice and shady, I'd say about 10 - 20 degrees cooler than the rest of the trail.
John Boughan: Well maintained trail with beautiful scenery!
Risuki M: Nice paved trail, pretty scenery.
David Lade: This is a good trail to be on. It's fairly quiet, beautiful, and runs along the river.
Shanna Sterne: Most beautiful place in Independence
Karen Teed: Peaceful and Pretty
Katherine McBrayer: I love this place! Just amazing.
Angie Tuck: Great place for a nice peaceful bike ride.
Mary Thompson: Beautiful!!!!!!!

Lipton Conservation Area: what do users think?
Penny Carlson: Didn't see any bathroom.Playground: Yes Public restrooms: No Off-leash dog area: No Picnic tables: Yes Barbecue grills: No …More
James R: Justin Gann, fyi; the deer aren't the only animals that use those trails. I was wondering down one and startled twoguys that using drugs. It's a very nice park regardless. Take my kiddos all the time
Claire Pederson: Trail is only .5 miles; while short, it is a pretty area. LOTS of off leash dogs.
kollaspe3: This place is very near and dear to my heart. It was my childhood playground. I only gave it 4 stars because it's not the wilderness I remember as a kid, but rather more of a public walking trail now.
Ashley Smith: It really was just a gravel road leading to an empty field. No trails in site and refuse all over the place
Pamela Phillips: Beautiful, quiet, natural area; hidden in plain sight.
4Paws Peace: Nice park
amanda BonHardt: Beautiful and kept well! Regularly patrolling police so it's a safe place for pets, kids, moms & dads... everyone can enjoy themselves! Hint hint
Robin Young: Nice
Kelsi Hill: Yay
Blue Collar American: Could be better
Justin Sherman: Great place to relax.
Tony Ellis: Great place to walk !
Mike Perry: Not bad only problem is no one cleans up after pets on the trail you have to play dodge the poop!
Dennis Lockhart: I drive by many times a week. And have never noticed that the grass needed mowed. Very well takes care of.
Jamie Bruntmyer: Great place to take your dog. Good place for the kiddies to play. Take a group and play softball or base ball. Heck take a kick ball and play kick ball on the base ball diamond!
Anthony Wright: Land
Kim Osborn: Very nice trail traversable with a stroller
Justin Gann: This walking trail is always a lot of fun. You can stick to the main path, or wander off on any number of deer trails running through the middle of the woods between walking trail itself.
Mike Rice: Nice walking trails, located near tennis and skate park. Well maintained park type area.

Little Blue Trace County Park: what do users think?
Justin Lashley: Quiet little place to have a picnic..
2424 music: Just get away from the city and all the sirens in town
Monica: Picnic area: Small shelterPlayground: No Public restrooms: No Off-leash dog area: No Picnic tables: Yes Barbecue grills: No …More
Brandon Whisenand: It was a nice quiet trail no to many people smoker friendly if you know what I mean I will go back for sure
Mexican Tuesday: Everyone is talking about riding bikes and walking. Are there fish in the water and as far as racial grafettie I don't feel safe doing anything there
Anthony Becchina: Very nice place to ride bikes
Cory Shute: Beautiful trail with a nice mix of nature. Paved, limestone and single track trail with 15 miles connected.
cindy campbell: Always been nice bike trail but over the yrs have taken out the places to use restroom & they need trash bins would like to know why they took out the ones that was there & do not maintain any for the trail
Andrea Montoya (Drea): Just wish they could put in some sort of calisthenics equipment at every mile. That would help out my jog workouts 😁
Dennis Seymour: Shelter is closed, trails are open.
Kevin Butcher: This trail is awesome it's nice well maintained beautiful river side trail I go biking with my daughter here and we both love it, I would highly recommend making it a family event.
Natalie Mackey: This trail is absolutely amazing from beginning to end. I can not wait for future installations of it. We have found so many places, to just stop, and enjoy the serenity of nature. Whether you are walking, jogging, or biking this trail is for you. If biking, please remember people are walking as well. Slow down in crowded areas and around curves. Seen many bikers almost take people out, not respecting the other people on the trail.
Jeremy Hill: Fantastic walking or riding bikes on. Highly recommend this to anyone. Has several safe zones to call for 911. Very clean, moderate traffic on the weekends but very clear during the week. Love taking my kids bike riding on this trail due to it being on the "VERY EASY, but VERY LONG" if you do the entire tail and back. Beautiful scenery as well.
Anna Dunne: Beautiful
Sara I: A good biking trail with nice scenery, a great place for walks or runs or go dog-spotting. Lots of poop on the trails at certain points which isn't ideal. No place to refill your water, which led to a very dehydrating jog my first time around.
Brittany Prattis: I love taking my girls here we enjoy walking
Erik Riker: Great gravel trail for riding, running or walking. Follows the little blue trace for 16 miles through Independence. Great all year round!
Warren VanClief: Beautiful Place.
Jim Kidder: Nice if you need to take a walk or a run, but boring
Chad Jones: Fun to walk with the family

SHELLEY PRICE: Was out here to support the Truman Trot 5K
Raven Pinkii Black: I've been several times and it's beautiful but unfortunately people leave their trash and there's uneducated people that feed the birds (ducks and geese) bread without realizing it's extremely bad for them. Please get signs telling people to pick up after themselves and to not feed the ducks bread. Other parks have those signs I don't understand why this one doesn't.

Little Blue Trace - Hartman Heritage Trailhead: what do users think?
DARK PRINCE VENOM: It was a peaceful place to sit under the sun and watch river water flowing which clams the mind. A good place to enjoy lunch in peace.
Joey Gibson: Fun park! Clean when I visited. My daughter had fun. We'll go back when we get the chance!
Jeffrey Vermillion: Great updates to the trail this summer
Karen J. Campbell: I have put a lot of miles on this trail with my bicycle. So peaceful, and a beautiful scenic ride. I never road by myself ....but have always been able to hook up with a friend that enjoys bicycle riding as much as me. I've been on the Katy Trails a number of times too. There are bicycle and walking groups/ clubs you can join; in and around Independence to share the fun with you. It's possible you wil develop friendships with a long time group of friends. It is a healthy way of life.
Sabrina K: Awesome trail that runs about 17 miles along the river. Heavy bike traffic but trail is large enough, everyone was polite and used proper etiquette so never felt unsafe or in the way. Trail is well maintained with a mixture of cement and packed crushed gravel. Great trail heads and locations throughout so can make it the length you want.
Anna Alonzo: Nice walking are for everyone and furry friends too.
Maxwell Krem: Beautiful residential trail in Independence, wonderful scenic oasis in the suburban jungle! Good for walking, running, or biking.
Matt Rimmer: Even though I’m a porker I really like this trail! It’s good to be out and getting some fresh air.Fellow trail users are friendly and pass safely and all have said hello or had a great attitude.Maybe I’ll go out and buy a real bike now and give my grandson back his huffy….. I may have broke it… lol
Deborah Heck: My favorite flat trail to run. It never disappoints in early morning or at dusk. God always rewards my run in nature with deer, owls, indigo bunting, great blue heron, brown thrashers, hawks, and or bats on this trail. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Tonight TWO sets of twin fawns and THREE owls, along with all of the above.❤️
Jay P: Pretty :)
JC Van Deventer: Mostly an excellent family trail with tightly packed pea gravel. For beginners, ride into the headwind first as you don't want that on the 2nd half of your ride. Never overly busy, but also never completely empty.
Paul K: Good pea gravel trail easier on the knees. Some shade. Nice run.
Jon Cantwell: I love doing my outdoor walks here.
Kevin Grover: Always a good place to walk, run or bike.
Andrew Meek: Very well maintained. Always a great experience!
Paul: Favorite place to run
Robert Fox: Great place 2 ride
diana H: I really like to walk this Trail, it is kept up nice. The problem is they cut down so many of the trees there are a lot of areas you are in the sun and it is really hot.
Marilyn Duggins: Rode my bike on the trail. It's a nice trail, does have some loose gravel in places that you need to watch out for.
Mary Anderson: Great trail for walking or biking. Very family friendly.
Joshua Stock: Playgrounds still closed since Covid. Empty liquor bottles sitting around the playground.

Robert Fischer: Love this place
gail hodges (Mustang): Beautiful and peaceful place to walk.
Gustavo Perez: very exciting
Baltimore Lady: Love KC bike trails
Gerardo Rosario: Nice trail to run and bike on.
Katrina McGonigle: Trail is amazing love the wildlife my son and I will write it almost every day
Eil Tillie: Nice place
Sharon Bailey: Nice trail . . . well kept
John Kirk Saddler: I was pleasantly surprised about this trail. it is well kept with some good scenery. it is also possible to park in the lot behind the bar Saints across from QuikTrip. I only went three or four miles but it looks like the whole trail is 15 long. I am always on the lookout for places to go fishing and/or string my hammock up. this trail checks off both of those boxes.
jerry blauw: Love it. Very well maintained.
Steve B: Fairly well maintained crushed rock trail that follows along the Little Blue River in the Independence/Blue Springs area. The trail is wide and long enough for bike rides but is just as well suited for long runs or walking the dogs. Lots of different access points to choose from.
Gabby Van Dyke: Enjoy a little bit of nature at this popular local spot for biking and jogging. My kids always like throwing rocks in the river under the bridge at R.D. Mize.
Melody Burns: I enjoy walking on this trail
Andrew Durham: Nice and flat. Great for walking or biking
Melanie Edens: There was ample parking and the trail was very well maintained. The path consisted of a crushed rock so it wasn't muddy at all. The path was wide enough for people to pass easily. The grass is also mowed back a few feet on either side which cuts down on the bugs. There are mile markers every .2 miles which help you keep track of where you are. This trail is not a loop so you go back the exact way you came. I saw a few others running, walking, and one riding a bike. It is mostly flat and easy to walk. The wildflowers were in bloom amd beautiful. We saw a deer, a frog, and several beautiful birds. The trail doesnt have many benches to stop and rest on, and there is little to no shade on most of the trail. There was an Ori at the parking lot but no other bathrooms or water sources. I should note the parking lot was around mile marker 8.4.
Mari Lieberman: Little Blue Trail? Have no clue what this place is.
Michael Sesler: Convenient, lots of parking. Groomed trails and paved outer trail.
Teresa Ravenscroft: I always love to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this amazing walking trail regardless of which section you begin at, is full of friendly bicyclists and other walkers. The views are simply amazing and the sounds are soothing. Finding this trail is one the best finds for the last 2 years. I get out there every chance I get. For the most part it is always extremely clean as people take care of their trash and there are many trash recepticles along the way. I personally always take bags with me to help with litter control along the way, everyone can do their part to help keep this place amazing! The peace and serenity I find walking here is priceless! Love love love love this walking trail!

Landahl Mountain Bike Park: what do users think?
Rick Bell: Trail markings are confusing, run labeled at the start but then just marked more difficult at each split with no confirmation that you were still on the original trail you started on.
the_Enduro_Brown MTB: Most fun mountain biking in kc area
Jacob Manning: First time using the trails for a boyscouts hike. Nice place. Looks like plenty of mountain bike trails if that's your thing.
riley hitz: Bring an air pump or have a very long walk back up a very big hill.
Kevin Ryan “KCLoud816” Treece: Great way to enjoy outdoors. The best sledding hill in the area.
Tim Reneau: While some of the trail names are pretty crazy, this is absolutely a fantastic park for MTB and hiking alike. The trails are well taken care of and have many different types of features on them. Coupled with the fact that there are many, many miles worth of trails, you could spend a whole day here and then some.
Hræsvelgr: FYI, some of the trails are incorrectly mapped on Google maps. A genuine joy to visit.
mary diaz: My husband and l hike a lot at Landahl it s just minutes from our house. We enjoy being out in the wilderness. There have been several times that we have been caught out on trails at dusk. I swear that I ve seen a spirit cat in front of me helping me navigate the trail out of the woods. It s adomesticated cat, it s slim and quick. Then he disappears when I reach an opening out the woods heading to my vehicle. I call him Spirit Cat. Has anyone else seen him or her? Or is there any knowledge of such sightings?
Dee Robertson: That was our first time there and we loved it. It was a great challenge for us on thr difficult path. I am fresh from hip replacement & my dad is 78. Even my S/O has Scoliosis and seizures so yeah, we completed just over a mile and fully plan on returning.
Frank Lopez: Well groomed well taken care of, good signage, fantastic trails.....❤❤
Ric Trent: Fun jumps. Don't like having to ride or walk back up the hill.
Sam Kroesen: I've mountain biked these trails off and on for years. This trail system is designed so expertly it makes for a very enjoyable experience.
Chris “Tehxshizzit91”: Playground: No Public restrooms: No Off-leash dog area: No Picnic tables: No Barbecue grills: NoMore
Scott Banks: Great park
Brian L: Went for a quick ride. Chatted with one of the trail volunteers. He was very excited about the trails and opening. Fun 4 mile out and back on Wild Willy and family trail. No water or restroom. Many other trails look fun on trailforks.
Tyler Johnson: I've ridden a lot of mountain bike parks and this is unfortunately the worst. Trails are poorly marked, overgrown and the black trails were so slick we could barely walk on them let alone ride them. There is moss and algae growing all over the trail making for very unsafe riding conditions. I had high hopes but was not impressed.
Aiden Burnside: Best bike trails I’ve ever ridden
Kathy Easter: Lots of different trails with a variety of difficulties. Other visitors were very friendly and helpful. Clean. Boy scout camp next door.
David Thyberg: Great mtb trails from beginner to advanced
Kyle J: So much fun!!!
Caleb Hackett: Ok for what it is. Not a mind blowing park, but pretty cool
