Maple Street House: what do users think?
Isaac Urrutia: This place has been saving life’s since 1999 , recovery is strong @MapleStreetRecovery
Clayton Kinkead: If you are an alcoholic or addict and want to change your life like myself this is where sobriety is possible.
Shaina Harris: Gezz more losers/felons in our community. Just what Independenceneeds.
Jim Johnson: ☕👍🏻
Dominick Valentine: GOD BLESS! this house along with my "CREATOR" whom I call "JESUS CHRIST " saved my life.
Bob: Well, very disappointed. Mail is stolen, there is no oversight during the day if you have important mail such as cell phones. Bed bugs in? I cannot even imagine where they are all at. Covid 19 positive case? Roaming freely Food? Don't buy it or mark your name. And if someone steals it? You are supposed to buy them more. Low bottom ditch of a place.
Chuck Harrington: It changed my life
Donald Graham: They only help a select few of people
Cheyenne Lewis: This is where I got my sobriety.
Amanda Thompson: About to pickup my year coin there this month. Been going here for over 4 years and my life has done nothing but gotten better when I used the tools Maple Steet House taught me how to apply to my life. Benilde Hall Program: what do users think?
ChildishBrandinoExe: They helped me get my life together :)
JeanHelene Davis: I went to drop off gently used magazines as requested by a Nextdoor request post. It smells like Marijuana there
Aaron Graham: This place is without a doubt, the BEST RECOVERY PROGRAM IN KC. They don't force feed A.A. and N.A I was able to grow spiritually, in the way I WANTED TO GROW. There's no religion, unless you want it, no A.A. if it didn't help you the first 20 times.... Why keep repeating the same cycle??? BREAK THE CYCLE!! I've never been more mentally healthy, at peace with my past , confident in my future and the last thing on my mind is using drugs. I stress on real problems now-a-days 😊 I've transformed in to the MAN. I always knew I could be. Your future self is waiting on you. It's time you go meet that amazing person. Moreover, Everyone that loves you is waiting on YOU!! Go be YOU and forget the past. Live life, love and personal growth, that's what this place is all about. Once you discover the reality of you being your only problem... The possibilities are limitless!!
Angels Won: Discharged over and argument by sit around and do nothing really, Erin. My suitcase was also out into the front office by a counselor and now Erin is claiming this never happened. Interesting moral compass.
Scott Smith: Terrific place for terrific people
Garrett Griffin: I left voluntarily after being accussed of disrespect towards female staff; slamming one's car door and an "argument" about mask mandate. Both accusations were unwarranted. I was only recently clean and was dealing with post acute withdrawal symptoms and this was not taken into account. Furthermore, I was more than transparent and candid about my issues with respect towards women and how I'd objectified women in my active addiction. Overall, I feel like filling beds is more important than actually treating substance abuse. I wish my counselor had been present when I was called into the office and maybe things would have gone differently, considering the conversations we'd had about my issues. He was actually genuinely supportive and interested in helping me. I haven't had much luck in finding places that meet my expectations for treatment and recovery. Im currently residing at a place that is feeling very familiar to Benilde Hall. So, if you need shelter, Benilde Hall is decent except for unkept it is and how cramped it is. Look elsewhere if you're serious about recovery.
Bruce Bell: This is a great a place to get your life on track, but only if you want too. Great staff Danny and Crystal are awesome Mrs Erin is absoulty amazing and can help you in every phase of recovery. And the food and cleanliness is great nothing but respect for Ken Vick and his staff.
Michael Bridges: I was not detoxed before entering the house and can in full blown addiction. The program is sound,it brings a very interesting anger management tool, the staff are respectful and show real care and concern. Over all it is a great place to get your life back on track.
Chris Hudson: If you're looking to turn things around this is a great place to start, it's great to have hop again!
Ma Mi: I heard good things about this place and when I attended I was presently surprised. The food is spectacular and the bed are lavish. Always hot water in their spacious granite showers. They have all stainless steel ‘Sub-Zero’ appliances and a 93” flatscreen in the day room. Only problem is there’s this guy there named Adam Valentine. He’s obsessed with flaming hot Cheetos and can’t read good. For some reason he only wears one shoe and his shirts are always inside out. He says he does it on purpose. 🤷🏼‍♂️ If you have any questions or comments please be sure to email my secretary. Happy Holidays and we’ll talk soon.
Joshua Jones: Food is good and the staff are somewhat friendly and care about what is happening in your life. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because it's hit and miss sometimes. Kinda dirty too. It's a good place if you really want to change however.
Nick F.: If you go to college, hold a part time job stay away from this VA funded place. They only like those that don't care about their lives anymore and just want to be sheep. Just sleep on the streets and you'll be better off. They will continue to mislead you, and hold back info that could be vital to your recovery. All so they can keep you in the system to make money off you, profit from your misery.
Randy Dickinson: Saved my life been clean for 4 years . I was not a vet either'
Roger Hanson (InfamousOG1973): This is only good if your a veteran, they will let you in if your homeless but they do not give support for non-veteran homeless people that helps them find a job and stable place to live. You pay your rent or you get out. That is it and no discussion. This place treats you like you are less than human if your not a veteran. I only met three people here who actually cared and only one of them was a part of the staff.
Damon Chenault: Love this place
Djlasha Gray: Great resource doing great things!
Naomi Fairley: It is doing a great service to our brothers and sisters .Also there is Safe Haven program that helps homeless veteran's get housing and gives them support to get jobs income and food stamps to be able to move forward in life. We owe them so much more so we do all we can.
Doug Gundersen: Benilde Hall is an outpatient residential treatment / recovery house providing not only shelter and 3 meals a day, but group therapy, individual counseling, medication management, as well as substance / alcohol abuse treatment. Many who seek assistance here are veterans, many are homeless. Benilde Hall is a godsend to those in need and seeking help.
Marcus Meriwether: This place is magnificent. Awakening Arts & Entertainment was founded here about a year ago, and everyone from Carrie Merritt to Alvie Allen and believe it or not JOE CLARK are EXCELLENT PEOPLE AND PROFESSIONALS. Definitely go here if you are a homeless veteran of foreign war or if you have a substance abuse issue spiralling your life out of control. Jesus bless Benilde Hall.
Michael Lawrence Mathews Sr.: This place help me get my life back in order 12 Gates here also AA meetings
Donzell Gatson: It helps if you want help

Welcome House Inc: what do users think?
Erick Jordan: I went to this place with a willingness to do anything asked of me in hopes that I would receive help in the form that is offered but that didn’t happen. I answered all questions as truthfully as I was able to with nothing to hide I was surprised when I was asked to leave and called a liar because my urine analysis was not consistent with the applications questions I answered a few days before. Being a person that suffers from an addiction I was surprised that I was expected to already have control of my addiction as I was under the impression that they were to help me in that regard and if I were able to go without failing a ua then perhaps I wouldn’t need their services in the first place. I answered the questions honestly and for that I was told to leave with not a care as to what might transpire in my life due to my mental state after abruptly being kicked out. It breaks my heart to know that the tough love mentality, which is always damaging in my experience,is practiced by the staff here
Rachel Carter: We used Welcome House’s moving services this weekend, and we were blown away by what a great job they did! They showed up right on time, got everything packed into the truck, moved, and unloaded lightening fast. All three of the guys helping us were kind, friendly, and just awesome people. Their fees are about the most competitive you’ll find, too.My husband and I have moved several times in the past couple of years, and have had a couple of real horror stories with some of the moving services we’ve used. It was such a relief to finally have an amazingly positive experience! STRONGLY RECOMMEND! We are really hoping not to be moving again any time soon, but if we do we will be calling Welcome House again. I’m telling everyone about them!
Zach Lehr: The Welcome House saved my life. Took me in off the streets with nothing, and gave me a foundation to stand on. I am two years clean thanks to everything I learned at this place. It will save your life if you work hard on your recovery. I'll always go back and donate my time to this organization.
occult nihm: The welcome house saved me and gave me the tools to keep living sober I'm a year clean now thanks to people like micha and Casey the welcome house courses as long as you follow the rules and pay your rent your golden I learned so much and meet alot of people there the set the standard on what I want out of a na meeting
Louis Rodriguez: Save my life..
travis black: Great for recovery
Casey Everett Urso: If was a great place to get sober. It really saved my life.
Jeffrey Sharp: I am a current resident and desk staff worker. I love it here and I'm taking full advantage of the recovery and classes I attend. Thank You Welcome House and those that donate to them.
Jeremy Sigler: The welcome house provides a sober living environment for males in a major Metropolitan area. It gives struggling addicts a warm safe environment and stands firm in its belief that everyone matters. If u aren't in a meeting at the welcome house you are wrong. If u are a male that needs transitional living with a structured meeting schedule and daily structure...the Welcome house welcomes you. Im living proof it works. They gave me another chance at life.
Brandon Sander: This place saved my life.
Jason Canon: Excellent. Crucial to my recovery. Paveing my way to being the man Jahovah intended me to b. Frfr.
Eli Fisher: Reasonable
Tattoo by Bogg story: This is a good facility!!! Although, everything is hunky dory while times are good but as soon as things turn bad (i.e.: lost my job) suddenly I'm a piece of ****!aND I'm not the first to exp. the down talking!!I just don't want to be talked to Like I'm the scum of the earth! recovering addict ...Yes!. scum ....NO!
James Searing: Helps people every day
Bruce Jefferson: Great place for recovery
Cody Knouse: It's a good place to straighten out your life. It's a 9 month program focused on the 12 steps of sobriety. It's a well structured program that teaches you how to live a sober life, straighten out your priorities, and how to have a good time in normalcy.
Jeremy Garner: I'm currently there has been nothing but good every part of my life has improved thanks to welcome house
Richard Throbbins: The Welcome House took me in when I had absolutely nothing, and all that was asked of me was to improve myself. The program helped re-educate me, for the purpose of reentry into society. The Welcome House truly saved my life!
Ronald Romans: Boring
Mike Kugler: They show me how to stay sober 1 day at a time. They show me how to live right.3yr clean thank you .for being there 4 people like me
Robert Courtney: They are to Paranoid on your every move Staff definitely needs to relax. I'm a Vet and paying $650:00 per month it's like not free at all and then to have to deal with there Paranoid attitude. Not sure its worth it. Time will tell real quickly. If you decide to stay there never pay in advance more than 2 days or you will never see it again. They can boot you out for anything being late etc.numerous other infractions. My advice is be CAUTIOUS.

Healing House Inc: what do users think?
Bonnie Parker: I will say I did get clean here. I'm still clean, but ONLY because of Mama Judy. If mama Judy had not talked to me and showed me the love and respect I deserved as a human being, I would have NEVER made it thru that program. She was the ❤️ of that operation.

It has definitely changed our lives. The people who are in the program and making a change are amazing people! It goes to show you what true change is. The support of on another and unconditional love and understanding is so awesome. Without them we would be where we are today. We appreciate all they did for us. Especially my boyfriend Ethan. An awesome program where I was able to work on myself and my recovery, get a job, learn tools and skills for life and overcoming addiction. Bobbi Jo and Momma Judi are two very special ladies who've helped me multiple times when I had no where else to go and I doubt I would be here today if they didn't lead a life of love and forgiveness. I am truly grateful for them taking me in when I needed it most!
