Sheilah Smith: We had our chimney cleaned in early October. The guy that can out was phenomenal! The problem is the responsiveness of the owner. We were supposed to have an estimate by now, November 13th, and still no response. I have called several times and the last call with Charity I was told,”the owner is busy and will get to it when he can, that’s all I can do.”So, if they had delivered on the original impression I would give them 5 stars. I will not use them and do not recommend due to the lack of follow up.As a follow up to your response; In the time it took to write your review rebuttal, you could have given me an estimate. We do our best to support local businesses because that is where the heart of the community lies. Supporting one another.We really did like the service that was provided by your tech! Tim Arnold: Received a quote for chimney cap on 8/25/21. I did not hear back from Hearthmaster so I followed up with them on 3/23/22. They replied that some of the caps they ordered were stolen from their showroom and mine was one of them. I let them know I still needed the cap and they said they would need to come out to take more measurements because they lost the original one's and did not have a record. That was on 3/25/22 and I have not heard back from them since. From the other reviews, they seem to be a reputable company, but I have lost a lot of faith in their ability to provide acceptable customer service and they are extremely unorganized as a business. I wish my review was different, but it is a very accurate account of my experience with them.Update 10/14/22: Jonathan did respond and accept accountability to rectify the situation. Dylan Moran: Do not let these people into your home or the home of a loved one!After asking for this company to take a look at our gas fireplaces which were not working, the technician performed two chimney sweeps and "inspections" without providing pricing information or asking for my consent.Then, the technician presented me with a bill for $558. I refused to pay that amount as all I had requested was to have my gas fireplace looked at. I spoke to the owner, Jonathan Clements, on the phone and he agreed that the company did not provide pricing information before performing the work. He also agreed to accept the $200 that I offered for having the fireplaces returned to working order. His technician amended the invoice to show a bill of $200, he accepted my check, and the business deposited the check within a few days.Now, Hearthmaster has had its attorney send me a letter demanding an additional $358 for the work while threatening to file a mechanics lien on my house and pursue a lawsuit. This letter contains many inaccuracies, such as claiming they gave pricing info before coming out. This is disproven by the text message conversation we had with them.In short, I would not recommend that anyone in the Rome, GA area contact them or even allow them in your home.Service:Stove fireplace cleaning
