The work took a couple days AND was beyond my expectation. The dshaft was balanced/painted like new. Solid workmanship to this day! First I called a truck co. down in south Olathe they gave me a price that was fairly high, but what got me worried was he told me the que line was over a week long and that his balancer guy just walked out sick so it may be longer . . . . I called North, got a message that directed me to his cellphone, Bill answered, quickly told me a fair price, was knowledgeable about my truck and driveshafts, AND if I drop it off tonight I'll most likely get it back tomorrow. I took out the shafts, and called again at 6pm Bill told me he had a guy working a night shift so I went and dropped them off AFTER 7pm on a Tuesday evening!!!! David was right that they don't keep normal business hours, but that worked out for me just fine. They called me back to pick them up on Thursday that same week 6 U-joints and a new ball yoke using Spicer parts cost me way less than what the Olathe truck shop would have

David Chronister: The people in this place are completely incompetent, if you do drop your ds off here don’t plan on getting it back anytime soon cuz they are NEVER THERE! literally, they don’t know what regular business hours are and if they are somehow magically there then they will not have completed the job not to mention the building and inside is a complete disaster, don’t bother calling any of their phone numbers cuz the owner will just give you the f.u. button. Save yourself a TON of time and headaches and take your driveshaft somewhere else like I did.

Randi Kendrick: The only reason they got 1 star is because yes they did replace their bad differential in my truck. However, because the differential was never filled with gear oil, like they said it was to begin with, it locked up while my husband was driving. Dispite what Billy the owner, screamed at us across the counter, wants us to believe a severally locked up front differential, such as one that does not have gear oil, can cause OTHER DRIVETRAIN ISSUES. Now, thanks to Gears Unlimited, I not only needed the transfer case but now a transmission because they did not fill the differential and told us they did. And yes I have the pictures to show that the differential did not have gear oil in it since July. Spider gears won't show signs of rust with gear oil in a differential. I am not ASE certified but I have work in the industry enough to know it connects and works together. I went to Gears because they were know to be good. Biggest regret, will not be recommending anyone to them anymore.

Brandon Akin: Guys can’t even get a drive shaft right for me, took three times THREE (3) to make a correct drive shaft and still will not function correctly. The first time I called and explained my set up, I was TOLD to measure from the center of u joint to rear u joint as well having an 1” space with the yoke pull outward. I did as exact time, I received the drive shaft and it was 3” to short. Then they remade the 2nd one it was the correct length , but took a 5 min drive and the glue came undone on the shaft, and then I had to pay tow fees and took me 3hrs to get home. THEN I had another one made and then it twisted the drive shaft into two pieces. Now they are saying my car was rubbing on my exhaust and it broke because of that, my exhaust was in fact NOT rubbing and had 2” of clearance! These people are a JOKE and do not use them, they told me after this 3rd shaft was made that that had full 100% confidence in it and it broke and then didn’t want to refund me any money back at all, it was non refundable. After all the trouble I went thru with them I highly do not recommend! They told me they do not make aluminum drive shafts for my set up when all day long they are making them for other similar set ups. It all COMES DOWN TO THE MONEY BECAUSE CARBON FIBER IS HIGHER DOLLAR THEN ALUMINUM AND THEY DONT WANT TO LOSE MONEY. Stay away! Stay away!They then say, they can’t make me an aluminum driveshaft because I make too much power, 800? Really yeah that’s why I’ve been running a DSS shaft for years on my old set up and made more power on it then I did on youre shaft and still can’t hold. U guys are so far behind in the car industrial it’s not even funny .

Only to find out that they never replaced it at all. “Always ask any mechanic for your old parts.” A couple months later my truck wouldn’t start so I took it to a mechanic closer to my home. They told me it was the distributor so i took it back to AAA because it was under warranty. Every time I called to check the status, they told me they were going to get to it the next day. Needles to say that day never came but what did come was my truck was vandalized, 2 catalytic converter‘s, 2 busted windows and my stereo system stolen. That happened on a Thursday, I didn’t get a call until the following Monday which then I was told that I’m S.O.L. because they don’t have insurance for theft of the vehicles left on “Their” property. This place is very fraudulent and I can almost guarantee that you’ll be back with more issues than which you came.Service:Exhaust

DEREK ALLISON: Never recommending 4 Wheel Parts!!!I initially wanted to have my Tacoma front end raised due to installing new Fox 2.5 Remote Reservoirs (880-06-418) and they were set to stock height (top thread height 1.5”) . Installed OMI Heavy Duty leaf springs (2.75” lift), so wanting to level the the front with the rear. Before prepaying for the service I asked if the mechanics are use to installing/adjusting these type of coil overs. They assured me that they worked with them in the past. So left the Tacoma off on Monday with a Thursday pickup (same week). Called Thursday to confirm pickup and was informed truck wasn’t ready due to lower control arms and camber bolts are seized which alignment could be performed. The salesman stated the mechanic tried calling me, but didn’t receive a phone call. Verified my phone number was linked to my account. After talking with the salesman I confirmed to have the lower control arms and camber bolts replaced. New pickup day was for following Tuesday. Called day prior to pickup to confirm parts arrived. Tuesday, I called again to confirm pickup and was notified two shop mechanics called off sick and may not be able to pick it up. This didn’t bother me. Called again to check status and the salesman stated that the mechanics are unfamiliar with adjusting coil overs and are use to adjusting struts only and they needed additional time to adjust them then do alignment. This part of unfamiliarity with adjusting coil overs enraged me because they lied about knowing how to my particular Fox coil overs. Wednesday, I was notified my Tacoma was ready for pickup. The lower control arms were replaced but the coil overs were barely adjusted. Informed the ring was rotated by five full revolutions. New top thread count measured 1.75”. The shop lead stated their shop didn’t have the right header to compress the coil over to properly adjust the top ring. The shop waived the coil over adjustment and alignment on the bill in the end, but would not have used them if I knew they did not have the right equipment to adjust my coil overs. In the end I still need to have my coil overs adjusted and now the top ring adjusting slots were damage from some kind of prying tool.

When asked I was told "well it was an additional charge" ok???? I knew it was not going to be free. When asked about the other part, they told me EXACTLY what I told them. And that they needed replaced... I understand this, this is why they were asked multiple times to fix and replace these parts! If they were concerned that it was going to cost more, why did they not reach out to verify? Just because I am a female does not mean I don't know what I am talking about or what i want or that i can't afford it. I would have given you all my money, if you had held up to the 4wp standards I am used...I was then told it was because the guy who originally sold me my wheels and tires wasn't there?? Not sure what the salesman has to do with you not doing what I requested? Especially since I relayed all this info to others when dropped off.. unfortunately this is no where near the service we used to get from 4wp in AZ or even Chux trucks.. I'll be taking my business elsewhere...Thank you Lee for making this right!!!

Nick Shortino: Rich "Big Rich" Blanton at this store was amazing. He dealt with me calling for months looking for the perfect set of wheels and tires for my truck. I have a very odd lug pattern so it was hard to find something I actually fell in love with. He answered all my questions, every time and never once did he make me feel like I was bothering him. Finally picked out a set and they had me set up and going from ordering to mounting in just a few days! If/when I am in the market again, I will be going here first!
