Sherri Simmons: FIRST OF ALL, sign up for their birthday club and get a free (designated) breakfast right away and then for each year on your birthday.We came in with a party of 16 for our mom’s 94th birthday. They accommodated us easily and quickly. There was a lot going on but I’m pretty sure there were two servers. The food was really good. Everyone agreed. I ordered the open faced turkey sandwich with mashed red skin potatoes/gravy. Very tasty. Potatoes weren’t instant. Turkey was delicious. Others around me ordered a big burger with fries, cod & shrimp dinner, fried chicken Cobb salad (looked amazing! And huge!), bear claw stuffed French toast, chili burger & chicken tenders. No complaints! The restaurant sang happy birthday and servers provided plates/forks for the cake we brought in. And I didn’t take a single food pic! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Delesia Hill: This is my first time trying this restaurant. When I went in the staff were helpful and friendly! Not a bad price for the amount of food you get but it was a little bland. I got the chicken fried steak breakfast. The eggs were over cooked and the hash browns were undercooked and under seasoned. The steak itself was good. I may try again at a later date to see if maybe it was just an off day.

Debi Cogburn: I had the French dip ciabatta (deluxe) sandwich with AuJus tonight. OMG that is the very best. Corner Cafe could learn a thing tor three. (My typical go-to when I go there). My first bite was not dipped, I knew at that moment, this was gonna be a delicious meal. I am so glad I have leftovers! However, I was very disappointed in the selection of salad dressings. I'm not a fan of Bacon Ranch, Balsamic Vinegar or Italian. Who doesn't have French? Black Bear, that's who.

Unfortunately, that was not my experience, though.So long as your expectations are set properly and you don't expect your server to really have any sort of clue about what it means to work in the hospitality business, you will be fine.It's a bit of a shame because the food was good and worthy of a return trip, but creating a good customer experience with decent, basic service simply means a lot.I understood from the hostess, who was actually really welcoming, engaging, and nice, that there have been repeated comments about this particular server. If this is truly the case, why hasn't this person been addressed??Sorry black bear, I will support other merchants that get it!

Jeff Lucht: June 4 2023 update put a difference couple of months made! The steak was absolutely much better than Lee's summit Longhorn! The waitresses employees was excellent and when the manager stop by our table to ask us how is everything was absolutely awesome! The portion of the food was plenty and very enjoyable! My understanding they got a new general manager and most of the long time employees from the Blue ridge boulevard near the stadium came into this Denny's after the big fire. I feel it would be great to rebuild Denny's near that location.Thank you so much I keep the negative post to prove to everyone a business can changeThe absolute shrinky dink of the omelets trying to cover it up with more potatoes! 1 person $25.00 for coffee omelet & two pancakes! With tip and add on meet. COME ON! Still too MUCH! From here on out staying home making my own! Service was praying with a customer while my food was sitting waiting for her to put it on my table. Wasn't really that bad until the prayer lasted way too long!Only reason why it got two stars is because it still tasted OK.

They were so respectful & professional & such a delight to talk with. On June 2, 2023, we had an awesome waitress, Linda, whom we had on several occasions as well as the visit on June 2, 2023. She is a fantastic waitress & we so enjoyed talking with her. Our experiences with Denny's on the Noland Rd. & I-70 in Independence, Mo. always feels like we are just dining with friends & family. I hope you give the recognition they all so deserve to these wonderful employees of Denny's. 5 Stars in our book !!!

I'm not sure if it was from the ac being bad or from the older building but definitely needs to be checked out. Would be a wonderful place if it had a bit more life to it.
