Landahl Mountain Bike Park: what do users think?
Scott Ramsey: Good mix of challenging and flowing trails
Rick Bell: Trail markings are confusing, run labeled at the start but then just marked more difficult at each split with no confirmation that you were still on the original trail you started on.
the_Enduro_Brown MTB: Most fun mountain biking in kc area
Jacob Manning: First time using the trails for a boyscouts hike. Nice place. Looks like plenty of mountain bike trails if that's your thing.
riley hitz: Bring an air pump or have a very long walk back up a very big hill.
Kevin Ryan “KCLoud816” Treece: Great way to enjoy outdoors. The best sledding hill in the area.
Tim Reneau: While some of the trail names are pretty crazy, this is absolutely a fantastic park for MTB and hiking alike. The trails are well taken care of and have many different types of features on them. Coupled with the fact that there are many, many miles worth of trails, you could spend a whole day here and then some.
Hræsvelgr: FYI, some of the trails are incorrectly mapped on Google maps. A genuine joy to visit.
mary diaz: My husband and l hike a lot at Landahl it s just minutes from our house. We enjoy being out in the wilderness. There have been several times that we have been caught out on trails at dusk. I swear that I ve seen a spirit cat in front of me helping me navigate the trail out of the woods. It s adomesticated cat, it s slim and quick. Then he disappears when I reach an opening out the woods heading to my vehicle. I call him Spirit Cat. Has anyone else seen him or her? Or is there any knowledge of such sightings?
Dee Robertson: That was our first time there and we loved it. It was a great challenge for us on thr difficult path. I am fresh from hip replacement & my dad is 78. Even my S/O has Scoliosis and seizures so yeah, we completed just over a mile and fully plan on returning.
Frank Lopez: Well groomed well taken care of, good signage, fantastic trails.....❤❤
Ric Trent: Fun jumps. Don't like having to ride or walk back up the hill.
Sam Kroesen: I've mountain biked these trails off and on for years. This trail system is designed so expertly it makes for a very enjoyable experience.
Chris “Tehxshizzit91”: Playground: No Public restrooms: No Off-leash dog area: No Picnic tables: No Barbecue grills: NoMore
Scott Banks: Great park
Brian L: Went for a quick ride. Chatted with one of the trail volunteers. He was very excited about the trails and opening. Fun 4 mile out and back on Wild Willy and family trail. No water or restroom. Many other trails look fun on trailforks.
Tyler Johnson: I've ridden a lot of mountain bike parks and this is unfortunately the worst. Trails are poorly marked, overgrown and the black trails were so slick we could barely walk on them let alone ride them. There is moss and algae growing all over the trail making for very unsafe riding conditions. I had high hopes but was not impressed.
Aiden Burnside: Best bike trails I’ve ever ridden
Kathy Easter: Lots of different trails with a variety of difficulties. Other visitors were very friendly and helpful. Clean. Boy scout camp next door.
David Thyberg: Great mtb trails from beginner to advanced
Kyle J: So much fun!!!

Little Blue Trail: what do users think?
Tangy Gleets: Beautiful trail end to end. It's really a treasure for eastern Jackson county.
David Tucker: Great trail
Monica: Gravel trail, not bad in local area, some what choppy with switch backs but decent work out trail.Playground: No Public restrooms: Yes Off-leash dog area: No Picnic tables: Yes Barbecue grills: No …More
Robert Fischer: Love this place
gail hodges (Mustang): Beautiful and peaceful place to walk.
Gustavo Perez: very exciting
Baltimore Lady: Love KC bike trails
Gerardo Rosario: Nice trail to run and bike on.
Katrina McGonigle: Trail is amazing love the wildlife my son and I will write it almost every day
Eil Tillie: Nice place
Sharon Bailey: Nice trail . . . well kept
John Kirk Saddler: I was pleasantly surprised about this trail. it is well kept with some good scenery. it is also possible to park in the lot behind the bar Saints across from QuikTrip. I only went three or four miles but it looks like the whole trail is 15 long. I am always on the lookout for places to go fishing and/or string my hammock up. this trail checks off both of those boxes.
jerry blauw: Love it. Very well maintained.
Steve B: Fairly well maintained crushed rock trail that follows along the Little Blue River in the Independence/Blue Springs area. The trail is wide and long enough for bike rides but is just as well suited for long runs or walking the dogs. Lots of different access points to choose from.
Gabby Van Dyke: Enjoy a little bit of nature at this popular local spot for biking and jogging. My kids always like throwing rocks in the river under the bridge at R.D. Mize.
Melody Burns: I enjoy walking on this trail
Andrew Durham: Nice and flat. Great for walking or biking
Melanie Edens: There was ample parking and the trail was very well maintained. The path consisted of a crushed rock so it wasn't muddy at all. The path was wide enough for people to pass easily. The grass is also mowed back a few feet on either side which cuts down on the bugs. There are mile markers every .2 miles which help you keep track of where you are. This trail is not a loop so you go back the exact way you came. I saw a few others running, walking, and one riding a bike. It is mostly flat and easy to walk. The wildflowers were in bloom amd beautiful. We saw a deer, a frog, and several beautiful birds. The trail doesnt have many benches to stop and rest on, and there is little to no shade on most of the trail. There was an Ori at the parking lot but no other bathrooms or water sources. I should note the parking lot was around mile marker 8.4.
Mari Lieberman: Little Blue Trail? Have no clue what this place is.
Michael Sesler: Convenient, lots of parking. Groomed trails and paved outer trail.
Teresa Ravenscroft: I always love to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this amazing walking trail regardless of which section you begin at, is full of friendly bicyclists and other walkers. The views are simply amazing and the sounds are soothing. Finding this trail is one the best finds for the last 2 years. I get out there every chance I get. For the most part it is always extremely clean as people take care of their trash and there are many trash recepticles along the way. I personally always take bags with me to help with litter control along the way, everyone can do their part to help keep this place amazing! The peace and serenity I find walking here is priceless! Love love love love this walking trail!

Little Blue Trace - Hartman Heritage Trailhead: what do users think?
DARK PRINCE VENOM: It was a peaceful place to sit under the sun and watch river water flowing which clams the mind. A good place to enjoy lunch in peace.
Joey Gibson: Fun park! Clean when I visited. My daughter had fun. We'll go back when we get the chance!
Jeffrey Vermillion: Great updates to the trail this summer
Karen J. Campbell: I have put a lot of miles on this trail with my bicycle. So peaceful, and a beautiful scenic ride. I never road by myself ....but have always been able to hook up with a friend that enjoys bicycle riding as much as me. I've been on the Katy Trails a number of times too. There are bicycle and walking groups/ clubs you can join; in and around Independence to share the fun with you. It's possible you wil develop friendships with a long time group of friends. It is a healthy way of life.
Sabrina K: Awesome trail that runs about 17 miles along the river. Heavy bike traffic but trail is large enough, everyone was polite and used proper etiquette so never felt unsafe or in the way. Trail is well maintained with a mixture of cement and packed crushed gravel. Great trail heads and locations throughout so can make it the length you want.
Anna Alonzo: Nice walking are for everyone and furry friends too.
Maxwell Krem: Beautiful residential trail in Independence, wonderful scenic oasis in the suburban jungle! Good for walking, running, or biking.
Matt Rimmer: Even though I’m a porker I really like this trail! It’s good to be out and getting some fresh air.Fellow trail users are friendly and pass safely and all have said hello or had a great attitude.Maybe I’ll go out and buy a real bike now and give my grandson back his huffy….. I may have broke it… lol
Deborah Heck: My favorite flat trail to run. It never disappoints in early morning or at dusk. God always rewards my run in nature with deer, owls, indigo bunting, great blue heron, brown thrashers, hawks, and or bats on this trail. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Tonight TWO sets of twin fawns and THREE owls, along with all of the above.❤️
Jay P: Pretty :)
JC Van Deventer: Mostly an excellent family trail with tightly packed pea gravel. For beginners, ride into the headwind first as you don't want that on the 2nd half of your ride. Never overly busy, but also never completely empty.
Paul K: Good pea gravel trail easier on the knees. Some shade. Nice run.
Jon Cantwell: I love doing my outdoor walks here.
Kevin Grover: Always a good place to walk, run or bike.
Andrew Meek: Very well maintained. Always a great experience!
Paul: Favorite place to run
Robert Fox: Great place 2 ride
diana H: I really like to walk this Trail, it is kept up nice. The problem is they cut down so many of the trees there are a lot of areas you are in the sun and it is really hot.
Marilyn Duggins: Rode my bike on the trail. It's a nice trail, does have some loose gravel in places that you need to watch out for.
Mary Anderson: Great trail for walking or biking. Very family friendly.
Joshua Stock: Playgrounds still closed since Covid. Empty liquor bottles sitting around the playground.

Robert Fischer: Love this place!!
Monica: Good trail, gravel, go as long as you like
Allen Bozarth: Great trail and Access to the river
jeff woolverton: Awesome trail for just about everyone. For leisure or more sporting fun, this trail offers it all.
Robert Corcoran: Always in great condition.
Amie Veach: We wanted to try out a new trail and the distance on this one made it a top contender. It had some areas that were pleasant but at this March 2022 time we're in I wouldn't recommend visiting it currently. The trail is very compacted down the exception being the trailhead looks like it had a load of big gravel dropped but no attention to spreading it out or keeping off the sidewalk going to the pavilion, the trail itself had many ruts, consistent puddles, multiple 90 degree turns that you can't see beyond to make sure not to run into someone, some of the paved areas needing repair you didn't know until you were already in the dips, the bridges are very narrow and also needing repair.Maybe for a walk it could be okay but the majority of the trail you're in the sun. I'm hopeful the trail can be revived and we can visit again possibly another time perhaps in the fall but Rock Island Trail remains a supreme alternative at this point.
Cory Shute: Good safe parking and a nice connection to the trail!
Andrea Montoya (Drea): Beautifully loud with nature. Ground was a little hard, but that makes for stronger ankles.
Kenny Crays: best place to clear yo mind!
Aaron Hull: Favorite place for a walk or run
Renan Coca: Nice
Vick C: Great trail to walk, jog, or biking.
Patrick Oxley: Nice bike trail
Angelina Flores: So cute
Nicole Whitaker: Lots of fun
Rebecca Schocke: So much fun!
Andy O'Neil: Nice park and trail.
Timothy Owings: Great place to get outdoors with the family.
Brion Holcomb: Great trail for a walk hike or bike ride.
joel phillips: Stopped to see how it would be for fishing. Water level was up so I passed on the fishing. I did however get entertained by two young cats that someone obviously dumped off. Cruel
Kent Medina: The biggest hill you’ll see on the entire trail is that first one when leaving this trailhead. After that, the rest of the 15 miles is pretty easy.

Pace Bicycle Haven: what do users think?
H Smith: Mark Pace truly has a Bicycle Heaven.I bought a TridentTrikes Spike 380 Tadpole style Recumbent from him. He'd custom laced the Enviolo hub on a better than stock wheel. He put an Efneo GTRO Gearbox in for the crankset replacement. With no derailleurs, I have a chain line with single cogs on the front and back. No thrown chains, cross chaining or jammed gears etc, it's all internal gearing. My selection of shifting methods was seen to, ring twist on the Envolio 380 and click buttons on the Efneo. Crank length as I prefer it at 170 mm.All in all, he took the excellent entry level Tadpole and made me a wonderful starter Trike. Even with the customizations, I have quality at a much lower price than some other brands would cost.Three cheers for Pace Bicycle Heaven.
Mike Groves: There are places that sell bikes, repair bike and maintain bikes. With Mark, he brings to the table a knowledge and understanding that only with experience and challenging convention. He has the ability to see possibility and improvements were others would say it can't be done. For all my projects, Mark is only person that I trust regarding can it be done questions or would it be possible.
Karen Rodriguez: Coolest people around!!!
Keri Shoff: Took my bike in for some new tires and a tune up. Again received the best friendly service. Also learned more about different kinds of bikes. Just a great place and a great guy. Thank you!
Geoffrey Jay: Very helpful and will work with you on what you need.
Mac Chastain: Great custom bicycle shop. Friendly and knowledgeable.
Dale Vits: Mark (the owner) is very knowledgeable about bicycles of all types vintage and current trends and an expert bicycle mechanic. Prices are very fair and service is very friendly. The best home town bicycle shop in Independence Missouri just off the square.
Ron Harmon: Mark really knows his stuff. He can see what needs to be done and with precision make the bike even better than it was new. He is always looking for how to improve your riding experience. He is responsive, always takes the time to talk with you and I feel reasonably priced for the value he provides. He also has some amazing bikes he buys and then enhances.
Jesse Hart: AWESOME people and AWESOME store! Highly recommend!
Ian Hardin: Mark is an absolute genius. ZERO bike shop "attitude,"Just a desire to solve problems and get you riding!
Travis Ethridge: Awesome Bicycle Shop with some neat classic bikes and things I've never seen. Mark, the owner was super friendly, knowledgeable, and had a story for just about anything bike related. Do call before going because, as Mark stated, his hours of operation are "sketchy". Loved the vibe and feel of shop, Thanks Mark!
justin jones: Super friendly owner, quality work.
Robert James: Enjoyed the owner thoroughly
Kyle P.: Phenomenal place to do business, Mark was very knowledgeable & professional. Superb transaction!
Angela Rouviere: Great service!

Peddlers Bicycle Shop: what do users think?
Bruce Farrand: First of all this shop is a fixture in Independence, so is the man behind the counter. I priced a few different bikes today with no pressure at all. Then spent the next hour just talking about vintage BMX and bicycles in general. The selection has everything you could want.
Nicholas Flanigan: Great service, definitely coming back.
Joe Dangelo: Rick is very knowledgeable, friendly and did great work on our old bikes. A great selection of new ones too. Answered all our questions and no pressure sales.
Jesse Cox: Love this place. Classic LBS with a fun guy who gets you in and out with whatever you need. I will be back.
Joe Smith: Rob was great. Got a new bike and had some issues with a tire and assembly and he had us back and going in an hour.
Lisa Langdon: Rick was super awesome and informative! Great bikes at reasonable price. Absolutely love my new bike! Also invited me on they're sleezy ride 😄 Definitely will go back!
Peggy Willman: Great, funny, friendly owner Rick and staff who care about the customer. This is a quaint shop tucked away in Independence. You can tell these guys love what they do for a living. Found the shop as I researched e-bikes. Reasonable prices for bikes both regular and ebike. Was able to take ebike out for a test ride. I was convinced it was for me! I bought a Gazelle Modeo T9 and absolutely love it. Thanks Rick!
Sarah Carey: Superb shop. The owner had been working on bikes since the 1970s and really knows his business. He fitted my son with his new bike, gave him advice about not loaning it out, always keeping it locked up (even for quick breaks), and how to maintain his bike. Also, there is a year of free adjustments/tune-ups. The service here is fantastic - significantly better than any big box or multi-sport store. Even though the prices may seem high, when my son outgrows this bike, it will have higher resale value since the equipment is the best.
Teresa Janc: I take my bike here every spring for a tune up. Great place!
Kat: Customer service as it should be! This place has quality bikes and supplies to go w it. Price is just the same as bikes I found for sale on the internet. Service by an expert in the business, that stands behind his products he sells. When buying a bike here, there are complimentary adjustments made to the bike for up to a year when brought in. Impeccable service!
Chris: The owner was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommend!
Dan-O The Mad Scientist: This is a great local shop! The owner is super cool and very knowledgeable! He has an awesome selection of bikes and gear...also repairs and adjustments! Support local!!!
Al Sample: Excellent service!
Becca Boo: They were very friendly and knew exactly what I needed
Mark Willis: Great local bike shop! Rick is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. He is reasonably priced and does quality work. Highly recommend Peddlers for all your biking needs and service. They also sponsor a weekly ride around Independence!
Tony Singer: I had major brake failure while visiting family. I called and dropped my bike off on Tuesday and picked it up on Thursday all fixed up. Reasonable prices and very friendly service. He even invited me to join them for their weekly ride.
Jennifer LaNier: Fixed my bike quickly and cheap. Thank you!
Linda OBrien: Had my tubes and tires replaced. Wonderful and friendly service!
Jared V: I was in the market for either a good cleaning and maintenance for my old bike or pulling the trigger on a brand-new bike replacement. Rick was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about his products and answered all of my multitude of questions. I ended up buying a new one after considering cost of fixing up my old bike and I couldn't be happier with my new Trek and the service from Rick. I definitely recommend Peddler's for all your bike needs.
Brooke Peer: Very nice service. I had some minor issues with my brakes and he helped me out (no charge) and I checked out some prices while I was there. Very reasonable prices.
Peter Rodriguez: I like the owner there He's very honest with you a sense of humor he's also got very reasonable prices whatever it may be.
