I talked to many contractors and decided to use Ford Concrete because of the good google reviews and Todd was a nice guy who seemed to know the concrete business. Unfortunately, their work was not good! Crazy slope on walkway, uneven saw cut line, random saw cut lines in walkway, took out a good portion of my yard, and left a mess. Michael Sestak: I called Ford Concrete after finding them on Angie's List and requested a quote for the following:1) install a 360 sq. ft. patio in my backyard2) repair walkway up to the front porch3) replace 4'x18' section of driveway that had fallen 3" in front of the garage4) replace three sections of broken sidewalkThis was not a small project.The co-owner, Todd, was extremely responsive and agreed to come out within 48 hours to provide an estimate. The price they quoted was less than two competing bids. However, they said they were scheduling 2 months out. This was not a problem for me, so I agreed to have Ford do the work.I received a professional confirmation via email that required me to digitally approve the quote. I was impressed by the quality of this process since a different company I was working with had sent me only a hand-written proposal.In less than six weeks, Todd called, ready to begin the project. On Wednesday, a team of five members completed the initial excavation and prep work. On Thursday, they poured the concrete to all four areas, using a Bobcat to move the concrete to the backyard. On Friday, they returned to complete the clean-up work. Todd was physically on-site to inspect the work on each day. After the work was finished, Todd called and spoke with me at length to ensure I was happy with every aspect of the work.I have attached a few pictures. Since it's been raining for the last two days, the concrete has a few dark areas due to the rain, but these clear up in the sunshine.I am very happy with the work Ford Concrete completed on our home and I can't wait to use the new patio in our backyard. We have wanted to do this project since the day we moved in 10 years ago. The crew did the job and then some - they installed a new gutter downspout PVC tube underneath a new concrete sidewalk square, and they added new dirt/soil to all surrounding edges of the driveway, patio and retaining wall. Courtney: They came out mid August and gave us a quote. The two men whom showed up was smoking while looking at the site and wasn't completely professional. We attempted to call Joe several times early September to schedule an appointment with no luck, even called the main number and spoke to a very kind lady asking for Joe to call me. Once we recieved a call back mid September, we were told: "We won't be able to come out until Mid/Late-October, we'll call you". No scheduled date, nothing more. Come Mid-October, we called Joe again to get an exact date and when we recieved a call back he stated "It won't be until Mid/Late November. We'll call you a day or two before". Now keep in mind we have jobs, we cannot just take time off whenever with days notice.I received a call today from Joe asking if they can come out tomorrow (10/23), I informed him we scheduled with a different company and I thought we informed him (Joe may of not gotten the message. I am honestly not sure what happened; I will accept blame for this miscommunication). He then proceeded to be rude, while I was being apologetic and he hung up on me mid sentence.Even though we did not go with this company for services, the customer service and lack of security was enough for me.
