Paytin Darnell: Miss Amory is the sweetest and most down-to-earth childcare provider my child has ever been to. They loved her children, were comfortable being there (only place he wouldn't cry immediately when I left) he was always excited to go and was still well behaved when I picked them up! She has such a way with children, she is sho patient and never yells, which My sensory sensitive child really appreciated.My son is in school now, but I still use Miss Amory when I need an extra day. She is amazing, highly recommend.

While there were a few concerns when I was taking him to the center, she was very receptive and addressed each issue I had at that time. She really cares about the children she watches, which is why we have continued to stay with her despite the OP center closing. We can not wait for either the center to open back up or for the nanny service to start!! My son just absolutely loves her!! Everytime they interact he just gets the biggest smile on his face!!

Makala Smith: I started working for Jackie, the 10th of November, I was supposed to get paid on the 30th as she says, I waited every though I started before the pay period that ended on the 16th. I called Jackie November 30th Monday morning about my check because I have bills to pay she told me she would call me back when my check came and that it would be between 12pm and 2pm. She never called so I called her around 3:30 she told me she was going to give me a money order and never did. After 5:30 she stop answering my calls and I called her over 100 times. She didn’t answer the phone for me till late Tuesday. Only because I called from a TextNow number. The she proceeded to yell at me over the phone and tell me my check was at her daycare I Overland Park where I worked so the next morning I went up there and my check wasn’t there she told one off the other workers she mailed my check. I’ve been looking in the mail no check to be found and my lights are about to get cut off. It’s about to be another week with out me getting the money that I worked for from her. And I would not recommend leaving your kids with her the workers are VERY LAZY!! Go here at your own risk!!

I can would not recommend her ever for a daycare.she tried to use my sister name to put her daycare in because she couldn't use her mom name for a license because she on disability it's just was a all around bad experience for her first job.

Caitlyn Robb: DO NOT USE THIS DAYCARE. talk about the amount of unprofessionalism in a place where I’m suppose to trust you with my child.During my tour I saw the daycare staff kissing the face of the daycare infant being watched. Not only are we in COVID pandemic but you don’t kiss strangers kids.The Overland Park manager made comments on her own staff regarding (middle school like behaviors and dramatic). Why would anyone trust their children being watched by the staff if your very own director perceives her staff that way.The day after I signed my paperwork the manager messaged me on FB stating she didn't have anyone to work the shift I signed within my contract 4am-1:30pm. I put down the first week tuition $200 to secure my child’s spot to start 7/13/2020 and I’m being told this two days before. I call that unreliable or at least misinformed on the managers end.After it became clear my daughter could not attend this daycare due to the times and staffing I asked for my $200 back so I can find a daycare else ware.The owner then proceeds to call me stating she won't be giving me my money back because she can accommodate me by offering 6am-4pm. Although the attempt to accommodate is appreciated, it is useless to me because I work at 4:30am. The owner Mrs. Jackie then taunts me with trying to pay out the full contract. A contract that should have been voided the moment they could not provide the 4am-1:30pm hours. Instead the owner claims to call the police on me, press harassment charges, sue me, and take me to court all over $200 hold from a contract that wasn't held up on there end and therefore voided.Save yourself the headache and find a better daycare!!!!!

Julie Wheeler: Such a great daycare! We chose this daycare over others in the area because of the smaller class size. We always felt like our child was being watched closer since there weren't as many children to watch.All the teachers there are wonderful and communication is always great! As a first time mother I felt comfortable leaving my child in their care! Definitely glad we picked Here They Grow!!

Brad Waddell: We chose Here They Grow over other places locally and have nothing but good things to say. Our son when he entered kindergarten was ahead of his class. This is more like a preschool than a daycare. They bring in a teacher to teach the kids during the day and even have an awesome graduation once you child leaves and goes to kindergarten. They provide lunch through the school. The hours of operation are very flexible starting at 6am through 6pm. They are open when schools close due to inclement weather and on most holidays. The owner Tammy is great and is in constant contact with each parent. She was always available via phone, text or in person. She has a passion for children and it shows. All the teachers/staff members are very nice and our son really loved them. Even though he doesn't go there anymore, we take him back up to visit every now and then.They have a secured facility with coded locks and cameras which helped us feel secure leaving our son at that facility.

Angela McConnell: Do not take your child here. The owner is never there to talk to. She closes everytime the school districts closes she cancels daycare. NOT A GOOD PLACE TO TAKE YOUR CHILD.

Gerardo Zamora: The staff actually teach the children good curriculum and have treated the classrooms like an actual school. This will make an easier transition into Kindergarten for my little one. There are a lot of daycares out there that will just "babysit" your child but this place will actually help and develop your child for an easier way to transition into school or just to socialize a young child as well. No complaints thus far and would recommend this facility to anyone in the search for childcare.

Leighanne Weir: Really high priced for what you get. Especially for part-time care. The actual daycare workers were really sweet with the children. One thing that bothered me was that every project my child did, when I asked my child about it, they always told me how they did a little bit but the teacher did the majority. On literally every project. This facility does not give much independence. I mostly joined for the pool, but my child only got to do it a few times total the first summer, then maybe 5 times this summer. Also, no report ever of how your child is progressing. They send home a "daily report" but my child's report, the same things were circled every single day - ex. "Mood" they always just put a :)

Amanda Lewis: If you are looking for a daycare for your children this is the place. My oldest son started attending when he was 18 months old, he is 3 now and we are still there. Before Hand in Hand we were in an in home daycare and they didn't really do anything with my son. He was always sick and it just wasn't good enough. After we started Hand in Hand we saw a huge improvement in my son's social skills, he is still shy but he is much more open, also- they do stuff from the time the kids hit 1 year old they are always learning, creating, singing and staying active- did I mention they have a pool? For my youngest he started at 12 weeks, when he was 4 months old he caught a nasty virus, I didn't realize he was running a fever and took him in. 30 minutes later I got the call to come get my baby, I panicked because he was so little but when I walked into the infant room, there was my baby cuddled on one of his teacher's shoulders fast asleep while she rocked him. I have never worried about either of my children after seeing that. When my oldest had to start wearing glasses, I worried that he wouldn't wear him, the other kids would make fun of him, he would break them. I expressed my fears to the director and assistant direction and what did they do? The same day they had an older kid who was there for their summer camp talk to my son about why it was important to wear glasses and how to keep them safe. I have not once had a problem with my son and his glasses. Every issue I have had has been solved the same day I complain, they are cheaper and cleaner than any of the other centers in the area. Every single day my kids come home happy and with all kinds of projects. The teachers are like family and I can tell they all truly love their jobs and the kids. As far as my children's development and their academics they are light years ahead and I owe the majority of it to the wonderful staff at Hand in Hand.
