That incorrect diagnosis was around 6 times what Buddy's charged and that incorrect diagnosis wasn't the problem. What also stings is that other place may have known it wasn't the problem.Regardless, I'm all in on Buddy's so far, (I just got it back about 10 days ago). Unfortunately, it takes awhile to figure out which shops are actually interested in diagnosing and fixing your car and which ones don't really know what's wrong and just charge you for repairs that MIGHT be the problem so they can pay themselves and the employees. And then there's the unscrupulous ones that just tell you anything so they can pay themselves and all the employees.But, Buddy's appears to be that first one - a genuine fixer so you can get back on the road kinda place.Services:Auto engine tuning,Auto brake repair

Josh Thordarson: Absolutely awesome experience with Buddy's -- probably the best I've ever had with an auto repair shop.We came to KC from Sioux Falls, SD. We had the catalytic converter stolen literally hours before we were set to depart from KC after our vacation. Sent the car to Thorobred Ford, because it was "in network" for our insurance. They told us it would be weeks, if not over a month, before it was done.Called Buddy's. Mike, the general manager (from my understanding), told us he could have it done sooner, so we had the car towed to him.Mike was the easiest dude to communicate with that I've ever experienced in the world of auto repair, and seemed to genuinely care about our situation. He worked hard to communicate the details with us as the event unfolded. When we found out that the part we needed was on a nationwide backorder, Mike called around and found one for us, and had it overnight shipped to their shop to get the work done sooner.On top of all of that, once the vehicle was done, Mike called and arranged for us to meet him on the weekend, when the shop was closed, just because he knew we were coming from out of town. How cool is that??I must emphasize the following point: WE DO NOT EVEN LIVE THERE! We likely will not be return customers. But these guys did everything in their power to help us out, just to be good people.I cannot say enough about how great this company was for us, and how they bent over backwards to assist us in this unfortunate situation. Trish Greathouse: We have been getting all of our vehicles inspected here since 2013. Never had any of the issues others have incurred. He is very much a quiet person; has never been mean, disrespectful or anything towards myself or my husband. He has failed some of our vehicles, for valid reasons and once when we pointed out the horn was replaced with a horn button, he corrected and verified it sounded. I do not like backing my husband's truck up out of the garage, too big can't see. He did not look happy with my request that he back it out for me, but he did and that was just this past November 2020.

Dale Forrest: Rod the owner is a great guy and his wife Brenda is a wonderful chat. I took my envoy in a couple days ago, I was chasing down some PCM, TAC, APP problems. One of the last things I could do was replace the CAT. He confirmed that I had a bad CAT and had also informed me that I had fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump problems on top of replacing the fuel filter for me already. I will use them for anything I need in the future, price was fair and honest for the economy we are currently in and their vast knowledge in the field really shows.

Michelle Rogers: I was referred to them by my sister who said they are a good shop and very honest. I set up an appointment they were able to diagnose the problem within two days. Turns out it was under warranty still a Jeep. I went a picked up my car and paid a reasonable price for the diagnostic fee.
