Bethany Wright: The store name is misleading and so are the hours. It implies that the store caters to all of Independence not just the Independence School District. A better name would be All things ISD. Since it is run by the school district it is closed even when the Google listing says it's open like during the summer. I tried to update this but Google couldn't verify it so many more people will go to an empty store. Call first and only go if you want ISD High School stuff. If you need general All things Independence try a Sunfresh, Dollar General, Walmart or order online. There is also a store run by the Jackson County Historical Society inside the historical courthouse that sells Independence. I got great postcards from there and a t-shirt that says I love Independence which also works as a 4th of July. T-shirt anywhere in the country. If you want to represent all of Independence you need to include all of the high schools not just one school district. People move to eastern Independence just to escape ISD and go to Fort Osage. The reverse is not true. Fort Osage football made it all the way to the state championship this year (2022). People choose Fort Osage over the independent School district and make choices about what home to buy based on it being in the photo stage school district because of their better grades and test scores and college acceptance and their athletic programs.
Fawn Thomas: I have gotten multiple items from All Things Independence!!! My kids love that they change styles frequently so when we go, there is always something new for them to get!!! I do wish they had something like this for middle school and elementary schools also!!!

Parker Micheal: This place is cool and all but, when I was looking at the cool stuff I wondered further to see what else they got.....and that's when I found out I was to young for Spencer's.
Amber: Has been a long while since I had been here. Unfortunately I was not impressed. It's so small now an stock is not what it use to be. Use to LOVE this store, not so much now. Use to be able to find all kinds of really cool an funny stuff. Now it's all piercing stuff an t-shirts. Not much else. So sad for what was such a cool place.

Davion Williams: The workers are very kind but the manager is disrespectful and rude I payed for a shirt and had proof I bought it it was 30 dollars for one shirt it was supposed to be a sale buy 2 get one 50 percent off a looked at how much I paid and got scammed the charged me full price for both shirts came out to 60 dollars the manager refused to give me my money back and said I could exchange it for a different shirt I just wanted my money back it wasn’t the shirt I didn’t like .

Thomas Hackley: Spencer's Gifts - just like you remember from "back in the day", just updated for today's modern pop culture (no 'blacklight' posters here today!). Lots of wit and sarcasm on display {literally!} here in many forms, with T-shirts, stickers, cups and mugs, shot glasses, pins, posters, keychains & etcetera! Surprised to learn that they now also carry a small selection of [fairly modest] 'adult' toys and items, "in the back". A HUGE assortment of other things in the store, as well, none of which you truly NEED, but probably several of which you will WANT, once you see them and they make you smile!

Vicki Kerr: I was looking for a specific item of which the website said they carried 2. I looked, 3 clerks looked. Finally, after about 20 minutes another clerk knew just where the item was located.

Mesmer Eyes: Large selection of sports apparel and accessories. I was able to find a gift for all of my family from children to adults and there is something for any price range from stickers to jerseys. Taking Chiefs Super Bowl Champion gear home to Texas to show I am a proud member of Chiefs Kingdom! Staff was super helpful. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of the mall area. Just remember The NFL sets the prices, not the store.

Devious Uno: They aren't helpful current staff is lazy and rude. They do not take the time to make sure to get your email correct and or your email receipts. I've bought over 1k of merchandise in the Las 2 weeks. Now I don't have a receipts for any of it. Now cause of them not doing there jobs correctly. They say call corporate. When I shouldn't have to go through all of that if they just did there job correctly. So I can't return/change out a size for a bigger size. I have to go threw a gambit of days maybe weeks to get anything done. Yet I get take this survey for shopping there. But no email receipts. Don't even know what this survey came for, what purchase? I've only made 20 of them. To find out I have no reciept for anything. Only my account stating I purchased from the store. What a a joke. Only in Independence. Kids and drunk managers. Now wander nothing is done right.
Gina M Summers: Got in and out fast when buying Superbowl shirt for my husband. Had to return to get different size with same experience and they were very helpful.My only complaint is the lack of the Superbowl shirts in anything 2x and above.

sheikela paige: Worst experience ever! The supposed to be young unprofessional GM was rude and closed store early. They tried to say because of Covid and capacity. In reality they were just busy due to school starting back and they didn't didn't to deal with the crowd. The manager stopped letting people in at 5:30 and walked around looking at us. She then lied to her manager when I asked for her manager number to say I cursed her after she called security. I didn't have a reason to curse this individual only asked for manager over her information. She couldnt even speak to me made the black young lady at door which was nice and apologized several times. She even made her call security while she was in back.. Dillion was understanding of the issue but the managers she choose to run her store is not professional or fit to be a manager. Did I mention she was Caucasian which may have made it easier to contact security and lie or have the black worker deal with me. What kind of manager is this. She needs training
