Valla High: Don't go here if you're younger or want a beer on draft, wanted something fruity and was suggested a margarita, they didn't even have sugar for the rim and it tasted like gasoline. They literally had white claws and that was never mentioned or suggested, same with their specialty shots. Everyone here was much older and stared the whole time. Very uncomfortable and supposedly and a bar and grill but never even told us what they had for food and there's no menu anywhere in the place.

Well only 2 of them came to wash the car after it was like they didn't want to wash our while a couple of the girls were literally trying to hook up with the car ahead of us. April Mayne: Second time here. 1st time was for a cheifs game. It was OK. The food took forever but it was good. I think i still perfer watching games from home. Less noise. Last night they had a $15 cover charge for what was supposed to be an R&B, Soul, funk, blues & motown band. It was not. None of THAT was played. A 70yo laurence welk sounding man is not entertaining. Well maybe to alot of really old folks..lol..but not worth a cover charge. The filet mignon dinner was delicious. Their food is always good 👍. A bit pricey but filet mignon usually is anyway. Their drinks are pretty good too. I love their servers. They are always so bubbly and down to earth ☺️. They always make you feel welcomed.
Scott Richardson: Very nice sports bar with great food! A couple pool tables and darts too. They were doing karaoke Friday when my friend and I went! Their hand breaded mushroom are absolutely delicious! Unfortunately no smoking inside, but the atmosphere is awesome! Everyone I talked to was friendly! Courteous and prompt service! Nice location with plenty of parking. Right off Blue Ridge and 40 hwy! Great place to visit with family and friends, or make some new friends! Daily dinner specials and reasonably priced.

Alexis Segura: Chris the owner was NOT nice or welcoming to lil ol hispanic me. He denied me entry and service and I just wanted to order food. I was fully clothed, had shoes and was not rude. He allowed several drunk customers “regulars” to “card” me. I provided two forms of identification valid in both the USA and lovely state of Missouri. Handed him my “papers” and he handed them back to me and said GET OUTTT. What a meanie! I think he was having a bad night. I’ll give him another shot as I just wanted food and info on Monday night bingo. God forgives Chris! So do I! 5 stars for your fine establishment :)

Small but entertaining adult family crowd, no smoking, WAITRESS service to your table, nightly food specials, large menu assortment, juice, pop and alcohol are served. Big John's Corner Bar is one of the most asthetically pleasing of all the bars in Independence. A do-drop-in must stop!!👍👍👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Alex: If I could rate zero stars I would. Bartender charged me for 3 extra drinks and then tried to kick me out because I said I was overcharged. I would not go here unless you enjoy theft. Seriously, the bartender "Anna" will actually rob you, be wary.
Localfocal KC: This has become my favorite Independence bar. The crowd is more youthful than most Independence bars. They have 2 billiards tables ; a jukebox with a wide range of music ; large backyard patio.
